===== AI Summary =====
=== Character Introduction & Mission Briefing ===

  * Team assembles at Portland post office: Kurtz (computer scientist/professor from UW), Schell (astrophysicist from Hawaii), and McMurtry (ex-military, Seattle PD)
  * They receive activation via phone calls disguised as spam, pulling them from their daily lives
  * Mission briefing via conference room phone: Find missing Delta Green agent Clyde Bowman, last active in the 60s-70s, disappeared three days ago
  * Team discovers dossier taped under table with apartment key and 48-hour deadline

=== Apartment Investigation ===

  * Team investigates Bowman's Portland apartment - spartan, cigarette-stained, recently lived-in
  * Find personal effects: family photos, prescription medications for elderly man, weapons (loaded .357 revolver)
  * Neighbor encounter: elderly woman looking for Clyde, team poses as IRS colleagues conducting wellness check
  * Kurtz discovers digital deed to remote cabin purchased 2002 (same year wife Marlene allegedly died)
  * Death certificate claims Marlene cremated at Wilsonville Crematorium, but facility has no record of her

=== Journey to the Cabin ===

  * Team drives several hours into central Oregon wilderness beyond Mount Hood
  * Arrive at night to isolated cabin with Clyde's Honda Civic parked outside, no lights on
  * McMurtry conducts exterior sweep with night vision, discovers 20 one-gallon gas containers in shed

=== Cabin Discovery ===

  * Team breaches cabin, finds Clyde unconscious but alive in bed - completely unresponsive despite pulse
  * Discover military footlocker containing: bloody knife with bone handle, Mac-10 submachine gun, tear gas grenade, mysterious glass sphere, and classified files about Ventasia Corporation
  * Find envelope with Delta Green symbol containing Clyde's final instructions

=== The Letter & The Septic Tank ===

  * Clyde's note requests burning contents of septic tank with the 20 gallons of gas, warns not to look inside, asks for remains to be kept from his children
  * Team realizes Marlene was likely never cremated - her body is in the septic tank
  * Schell hears crying/sobbing sounds from near septic tank but dismisses them

=== The Burning ===

  * Team restrains unconscious Clyde to bed as precaution
  * Pour all 20 gallons of gasoline into septic tank without looking inside
  * Kurtz ignites the gas despite voices from the tank offering to reveal secrets
  * Massive fire erupts, smoke billowing into night sky

=== Aftermath & Extraction ===

  * Secure evidence: footlocker contents and classified files about Ventasia Corporation (Argentina import/export firm with ties to weapons smuggling and "shield formula")
  * Team returns to conference room within 48-hour deadline to report mission complete

=== Return to Normal Life ===

  * Schell reunites with spouse in Portland, continues vacation
  * McMurtry returns to Seattle PD shift, haunted by crying voices
  * Kurtz returns home to daughter and parents, makes cookies while processing the mission
  * All three agents carry psychological scars from what they witnessed and what they chose not to investigate
