Living on the streets and getting into trouble was how Baelen survived on the streets of Orzammar, slowly making his way through the Carta opening things he really shouldn't. It was on one of these missions that his luck finally ran out. Forced to choose between an execution he couldn't miss and joining the Legion of the Dead he opted for the second.

Free from his past and encourgade to improve his talents for the Legeoin, Balen became an expert scout. Many times he would disappear into the deep roads only to appear weeks later with some bit of news that saved many of the Legion from certain desctruction.

When not in the field Baelan's curiosity is truned to the bits of machinery he has brought back from his trops and other odd machinery found around whatever fortress he happens to be station at.

Fairly warm and gregarious Baelen's not one to turn away good food and drink when that opportunity arises. Recently he has been assigned to work on some project with the Grey Wardens
