====== Session 11.2024.12.14 ====== {{ :savacola:campaign_one:session.11.2024.12.14.mp3 | Recording}} ===== AI Transcribed Audio ===== Speaker A: Room for solid state hard drives like. Speaker B: Stacked up by each other. Speaker A: So you buy it. Speaker C: Feeling better? Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Staying out of the mines. Speaker A: What's that? Speaker C: Trying to stay out of the mines. Speaker A: Oh, the black one. Yeah, yeah. So this was the little box. Speaker C: Ow. Speaker A: For storing that. I was like counting those. Like the most you're going to get on any modern board is maybe like six to eight of those drives. And he was like, yeah, he's like, you'd probably be one of those like NVME adapters that let you do a bunch of SSDs off in one NVMe slot. But the English on it is great. It says Big Belly can accommodate. It says front mounted 12 bit 3.5 hard drive. Supports hot swapping for data Exchange. Sign mounted 4 digit 2.5 hard drive. I don't know why it's saying 12 bit and 4 digit hard drives. It's like they randomly threw it into a Google Translate and it made a 12 bit. I think it's meant 12, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Yeah. So 12 3.5 inch hard drive but it says 12 bit and inside mounted four digit 2.5 hard drives. Speaker C: So I'm waiting for you to set that up in the server room and say, you know the Big Belly server room. Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. I told him you have to name it. He's like, oh, I'm making the host name Big Belly. Like there's no way around it. Speaker D: It's seen boogie boards before. Speaker C: Yeah, years ago. Speaker A: My writing in a translator. Speaker B: Well, no, you just write on it and it's like a little. Speaker A: Yeah, downtown in the coffee shop. He ran one of those for like two years. Like one, one tablet. Beat the crap out of it. Things are durable. Speaker B: Yeah, this is just, it's, it's almost like just like an Etch A Sketch type thing. Speaker A: Yeah, his, his was not. Speaker B: Yeah, this doesn't matter. Speaker A: His did not translate to something else. But they make those or you can do that. Yeah, this digitally. Speaker B: Yeah, they, they have some of those too. But they're more money than I want to spend. Yeah, that. Well, this one supposedly if I download the app I can like take a picture of it and it'll do something that's cool but do for scratch. Yes. Well that's like, like the paper like works fine but this is like much easier. Speaker A: Yeah. Does it, does it just do like a, like a light static charge or does it have a long term battery. Speaker B: Or it's got nothing. Like I think it's just like say because it's drawing it with My finger. Speaker A: But you push the thing and it wipes it. Speaker B: Yeah. I think it is like just a fancy etches sketch, like using. Yeah, that's really cool. Speaker C: I am so glad I listened to the rest of that conversation. Boogie board for me is out of the 80s. Speaker B: Yes. That. Yeah. This is the boogie board trademark or whatever it is. Speaker A: One of the co workers is buying this, but he says I'm getting it off Alibaba. So we'll see what actually arrives. Yeah. Or it's going to be this big. Speaker C: Big belly rocks. Speaker B: Yeah. But yeah. Speaker A: Can accommodate. Yeah. Speaker B: I think you're like, guy, we. When we did the Frontier Scum, I rolled a guy that had negative three. Like, negative two. And then like, I think he actually survived. I think only one guy actually died. Speaker C: We each lost one. Speaker A: Yeah. I listened to the thing and it was. It was hard to like. I was trying to keep track of, like, okay, that one's gone. Yeah, one guy died, like, on that. It fell down like in the first was like 10 minutes fell this jump from the horse. You're just like, well, I guess he's got. I was like, wow. Speaker C: But at the end, we found out there were dead stay rolls and he. He walked it off. Speaker D: We left him. Yeah, I remember that actually died out in the. Speaker A: That's pretty epic. Speaker B: That was a great. That was a great little system for one shot. Speaker C: A lot of colorful characters. Once you figured out what you were rolling and where. Speaker D: Yeah. All I know is my dice would probably roll like crap tonight. Speaker B: That's where you were killing. Yeah. You guys. You guys were actually all rolling. Speaker D: When you were generating characters. It was like double sixes, double fives. This is like, no. So much high numbers. Like, okay, that's awesome. Speaker C: What was a surgical precision as a train took off and didn't realize. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker D: Didn't work out. Speaker A: Yep. Speaker B: So if we ever do like another one shot or if you guys just want a break from these characters, we'll pick up somewhere, some other coyote crew or we'll do something really fun. And these guys, your current characters will end up chasing down the coyote crew. Good. Speaker C: We'll see what they're. Speaker A: They're in for. Speaker C: Maybe they'll be a big robbery next time. Speaker A: But. Speaker D: Yeah, bank robbery, Rome running off the coast and go. Speaker C: I'm not sure if they'd have the notoriety for. Speaker D: We haven't been to a big town yet. In this one. Speaker B: No. Speaker C: Really. In the other one, that was straight up. Speaker A: Hey, there's a train. Speaker C: Go get it. Speaker D: Yep. Speaker B: I was just like, what's a good Idea. It's like, we have to do. We gotta do a train. Nice. Let's go. Speaker D: Just like robbing a bank in real life would be a lot of fun for the consequences. Or ramping your car off something that's really fun, right? Yeah. Speaker A: Remember Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Nights, when the Royal Band and whatever his name is, he's robbing the train, but he's got the new guy and the guy's all bloodthirsty. Ends up, like, shooting somebody. He's like, whoa. He just rob trains. Speaker C: We don't shoot people. Speaker A: The consequences of reaction. Speaker C: See, if we just take this stuff, they're mad, but they're not pissed. They start killing people, then they're pissed, and they're gonna come after us. Speaker A: Then when they try to blow the safe, he blows the safe completely out of the train. It's on the bridge. Put all this money just goes flying. The safe is like, I saw this plan going differently on my mind. No Murder in the Cash stays here. I have to rewatch that. Speaker D: Sounds like some of the red dead height. Speaker A: Yeah. Things don't go up. I still have not played those, which is sad. Speaker D: Second one's a prequel than the first one. Speaker B: I heard they're both really good. It's just a ride. Speaker D: You have to get into it. It's like. You just get into it and it's like, you have to go in the mindset. It's like, this is a Western travel. You know, everything kind of takes time. And it's like, well, that's just the time. Speaker A: And they're telling a story. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: That's what I've heard from a lot. Speaker D: Of people is it's just. You have to get in the mindset of. This is like early 1800s, mid-1800s. So it's just like, this is what. How life moved back then. You got on a horse and had to ride for that. Speaker A: Stuff happened. Speaker D: Yeah. Oh, yeah. Speaker C: That was your car. Which is why when somebody stole your eye or shot your horse, I missed. Speaker B: All the things they added. Speaker D: There's still stuff people are finding, I think, in Red Dead too. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. That's why I haven't started playing. I bought it, like, several months ago, but, yep. Speaker D: It's an experience that's like, I wish I could forget that game and go again. Speaker B: Right. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Somebody like that. I said so. Little brain power. The only games, like, I play some games on my own, but most of the games I'm playing, I'm playing with you guys. Speaker D: Yeah, that's me anymore. I got maybe in the morning Might play like an hour or so. Mostly fine. Speaker A: I did do a. Start a sandbox where you did. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: With a different board. It's a return to Moria. Dwarves that are going back into Moria after the events of. Speaker C: The ball run's been cleared out. Speaker A: Well, we hope. We hope you didn't have a brother. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: It's pretty good so far. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: It's a little grindy. Speaker A: Yeah. But like, if you use like Zen out, it kind of Minecraft, it's like a little spring because you're like, you can sing while you're mining and stuff. It's like this little simple. It's not like overly complex game. Speaker C: Do you whistle while you work? Speaker A: Kind of. Speaker D: You get buffs for it. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: Like they fit in the Tolkien doors a lot. Because you do sing a lot. Speaker A: Yeah. There's like landmarks you can unlock and then your characters will sing together. And so it's got kind of that. Yeah, it's definitely like they did a good job. The music's good, actually. One of the few games. Most of the games I'll listen to the music for five minutes and turn it off. But this one, I left the music on because it's actually. It goes pretty well and they. It shifts with time of day a little bit. So you kind of know like notes because they have a dawn, dusk, like time frame thing and sleep is important. Eating food and stuff. It's all right. Speaker C: Like you're not outside. It's not like you're getting any notification. Speaker A: Visual and there's a little bit of building in it. Building's a little clunky. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: But overall I like games that are pretty chill. A nice, like fun, repetitive loop. They're not brand new and this is borderline. So I've got so many hours of like Minecraft space engineers and I want to make something and listen to music and kind of zone out. Speaker D: One of the big CSV streamers is like this chats for years and trying to get him to try Star Citizen and then he finally did because CSAS is just in such a terrible state and he like, he's fallen in love with it. Speaker A: With a Star Citizen? Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Oh, no. Speaker B: Well, he had like a guy that's. Speaker D: Been playing it, like go through one of the. There's a bigger ship out there. You can like assault now and take. And they did that. He's like, this is the best game ever. They got like the dual sticks and then like we were watching them and like he was encountering some of the bugs and so I was like, we'll see how long the. Honey, that's how it starts. Speaker A: Yeah. It is some of the best, like visuals in a game. Speaker D: Oh yeah. Speaker A: Like, ever. Speaker D: No, once the next patch comes out, they do what they say they're going to do. If I can mail. Try it again. Speaker A: Yeah, if they. My thing is, I'll even take the bugs if they can get the graphics performance up. If they can actually get Vulcan to run and use like I have a pretty host GPU and it will use like maybe 20% of the GPU and then it's just burning your CPU to the ground. In the background, the GPU is looking. Bring some of that over here. Speaker D: Yeah. On Friday, he got busted for a crime. So he's in jail. And so he was doing the prison break thing and then he got someone to come up and pick him up. But as he was coming in, the guy's ship blew and so he ended up in jail. And so they spent like three hours trying to escape jail and get someone else to come pick him up. Speaker A: Yeah, that whole loop. Like you have to go into that game knowing that you think it's like work. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Because you think, these are all the things I'm going to do today. But then you sit down at the computer and then you do like nine other things that people want you to do or that work wants you to do. And that's the way star citizens. Like he just randomly blew up on an asteroid. Speaker D: The guy was so chill. He's having a blast with him. Like just laughing like Jacob ship where. Speaker A: He spawns it and like half the thrusters are missing somehow. Speaker D: Parts that you can't even change are just going, this is going. Speaker A: I actually flew over to look at his ship. He's like, you gotta see this. And I look over, sure enough, it's like one half of the ship, all the little maneuvering thrusters are just not present. I'm like, how in a game where you can't replace this party, are they actually gone? Speaker C: So is the patch for the bugs? Are they just releasing a bunch of new content and. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: Layering it on. Speaker A: Forget the bugs a little both. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: They have too much. They're doing too much for a lot of it. Speaker B: It's just like modern game dev. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: And hope stuff gets fixed. As we add more and more, it. Speaker A: Tells me that they have a lot of management problems. Speaker B: You see a thieves very much that way. Speaker D: That's what happens. Speaker C: So is that how black holes are made? If they pile stuff on, it's like a sinkhole in Space. Speaker B: Yes. It's like that XQCD comic of like the Internet. And then there's just like this one little block, like off the side somewhere that's like holding the entire Internet up or keeping it balanced. Speaker A: Yeah, seriously, dude. At nicu, for a long time, their synchronizing, like, class information was on a single dude's computer. It's Charlie's on a single dude's computer with a background script, a background process that ran from Task manager or task scheduler to do this, like, data import and was sending it to another system for a full year to two years. Speaker C: That doesn't surprise me. Speaker A: And that's how, like the import, because people would send that stuff, it would get dumped. They're like, how to get it. So he just wrote a thing and it just shimmed it through Excel into another application. Speaker D: Oh, gosh. Speaker A: I remember I was asked to install Office on a computer later on and I was like, what's this for? It's like, oh, we're going to move that process from my machine to this server. And I was like, that's still running. I was like, oh, my. Yeah, you're not wrong. I'm sure there's banks or something where there's some Excel spreadsheet that's driving crap. Speaker B: That's so funny. Speaker A: I think Star Citizen just has bad management. Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Speaker A: It's. It's run like a. Speaker D: When you have $700 million in a game. When Cyberpunk Red Dead is like 2 million, 200 million. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: And those are full fleshed out games. Like, no way. Speaker C: Something got rich. Speaker D: Yeah, well, there has been. It's like the guy. I don't remember his name. Basically the guy in charge of like. Yeah. Speaker A: Chris Roberts. Speaker D: Yeah. He has like super cars. And, you know, it's like, yeah. All that's not going into. Speaker A: You look at the history of his games. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Like, there's some genius in there, but then there's a lot of madness. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: A lot of his madness. Speaker D: He's an idea monster and he's like, hey, let's do this. Oh, let's do this now. Speaker A: Yeah. Like, you need him on a creative team. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: But then when it comes to actually making decisions, you're like, we're not doing that. Speaker D: You need engineers to be like, no, I'm gonna quit. Speaker A: She worked on this shield for six months, like, kid. And quit because we're not doing that. We literally had a guy who was working on shields, like how it looks to get hit for six months. They just came to him like, we're redoing the shields. He's like, okay. And that's what he worked on. You're like, why would you have an asset do that? When your ships are exploding on the pad when you call them up. Speaker D: Apparently a guy right now. Because they don't have like ship collision figured out. Doesn't matter the size. And so there's a guy. Apparently he's known in the Star Citizen as He just gets in his Aurora and every time he just sees a capital ship he just rams it and blows it out. His Aurora is like a small one man ship. And then. But they don't have that figured out. So he just blows up and he. Speaker A: Rans his dad's pickup into an aircraft carrier, destroys it. Speaker D: That's all he does. As soon as he sees one he goes, guns, get the guns. Speaker A: Yeah. There's so much about that. It's brilliant. The game. Fight. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: There's like. There's many things that feel good but then you're like how can you sink this much money? And my character feels like he's running through jello. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Like just weird tactical things that they're just. Speaker D: I keep hoping like Rockstar will announce a sci fi series. Speaker A: Just leapfrog. Speaker D: Yeah. Like a Rockstar made one. That'd be insane. Speaker A: A lot of games are like. Like how rendering is where I'm only rendering what I see at a given time. And I get that because it's a performance thing. But then a lot of games it's like, well we're never going to render that. So it doesn't exist. And I appreciate Star Citizens trying to be a little more. That actually does exist and there are other people in it and you can go to it later that there's something on the other side of the wall. Like there's limits to that in gaming. But they were trying to make it feel more like yeah, you're going to have to run to a pad and get your ship. We're not just going to teleport to it because part of the immersion. So plan to run a little bit. I'm okay with some of that because it is an immersion. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: And I can walk around my ship while some hyperspace. Open the back door. Speaker D: Don't sleep in the bed. So teleport out. Speaker A: I know. And so there's a lot of weird stuff that you're like, it's brilliant. And then the rest of it really like they're just slapping stuff on them. Speaker D: Like the whole persistent thing. They're like, oh yeah. All the garbage you Drop states. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: And it's like, how do you do that on a server if there's thousands of people just throwing garbage in a spot? Speaker A: Well, when they did that test that people were bringing those like stuffed animals to like one location and just like stacking them in one place. Speaker D: And then their ideal is like, oh, we'll make jobs for garbage pickup. And it's like, is there really going to be people that go around and pick up garbage in a space. Speaker C: They might push it into orbit, let it burn up on re entry. Speaker D: Yeah, Be that Voyager episode where there's an alien race doing that. Alien race just dropping the garbage. They're like starting to work. They just kept dumping their toxic waste on this other end. Speaker C: If they don't have collision sorted out, oh, space debris within your ship, you. Speaker D: Have a planet of just orbiting junk. That's where people. People keep dumping it. Speaker C: I was kind of curious on that too. Would it get like, condensed enough to ignite and become a trash star? Speaker A: I think you realistically have like a time period. Like certain objects that are labeled as trash, you can't drop them somewhere. They'll just disappear after time. But they have other stuff that's like, I want to leave a cash. And say cash is if you pay like credits, you know, from your account. As long as that's kept up, then your stash will stay and make it like a, you know, we leave it persistent, but you're going to have to upkeep it to do the asset. Somebody wants to earn and pay that. But to leave it where any object can be done anywhere. Speaker D: Well, considering every food item has. You'd have to drop it after you eat it like a wrapper. Speaker A: There's those drug runs that you have a kind of a cops and robbers game of. There's a drug facility and you can periodically go rob it. And it's an absolute monster battle over this site because it's really lucrative money and some people, like, they just want to watch the world burn. So, like some guy will fly over like an A2 bomber and drop a mega missile on everyone and clean the slate and then it starts over. And that's. It's really cool gameplay loop. But like, the drugs are like so important. I can imagine if you were a drug runner in the game, you're like, I'm going to leave this as a stash somewhere for a rainy day and then I'll go pick it up when the price is good. And so you need to play sometimes a place where I'm going to stash that, you know, have a safe house or something like. That's a good gameplay loop. But to make it where everything is that way is such a bad design decision. Speaker D: That's when the physics apply too. So it's like, oh, yeah, this is physics activated. It's like, yeah, okay. Speaker C: Yeah. I'm just thinking about the therapy of a little bit, guys. A little ship taking off the big ships and the need for therapy for the guy who owned the big ship. Speaker D: Oh, yeah, because there's. There's a. When you reclaim your ship after a blow up, you have to pay like a percentage and then it's a time limit, and some of them are like half an hour long. So you still have your ship. Speaker A: Half hour. Speaker D: Half hour. Speaker A: Yeah. That's very depressing. Especially when it's a bug. Oh, it like, kills your ship. You're trying to play with friends. You're like, anybody want to come pick me up because I'm grounded for the next. Speaker D: Yeah. The nav computer sends you through the planet you blow up. Speaker A: Which totally happened. Happened to me. I was on the inside of the sun one time. The sun's in the center of this thing, and all of a sudden I'm like, why is everything black? I look at the map and my guy's like, in the middle of the sun. And I'm like, I couldn't work outside. I started flying and I was like, I'm actually going nowhere. I'm like, oh, I thought you were. Speaker C: Flying with the sun around you. And you're just like, no, no. Speaker A: Well, I was in the center of the sun on the map, but I couldn't actually get out. And I couldn't plot any points and jump out. It wouldn't let me jump out. So I just had to like, hold my key and blow up my shoulder. It's just stuff like that. Amazing brilliance and insanity. Speaker D: No, I got a nice big patch. You're supposed to be adding a whole other system. Speaker A: Yeah. So they're testing like that New City and stuff now. And it's like, it's completely unoptimized. Oh, here's your four FPS. Speaker D: Yeah. Have a workstation computer to place their Citizen four video cards. Speaker A: Serious. Well, they won't use those video cards. Speaker B: That's true. Speaker A: 87 cores. And we'll use like five of them anyways. Speaker D: Five. Processing. Speaker B: I don't know, it's just. Speaker A: I Seriously, it's. It's such a beautiful game that there is a lot of times where I go, it's all. And just mess around. Speaker D: Yeah. I was Watching like the streamers like this is neat, but. Speaker A: Well, I'll suffer it with you. If you get back into it, I'll suffer it with you. Speaker D: We'll see the big patch drops and bank server machine is supposed to come with that big patch too. Speaker A: We did some bounty hunting. That was pretty fun. Speaker D: Yeah. When it works at the last of the game. Speaker A: But. Speaker D: When you blow up or your ship's missing parts that you can't do anything about, an account reset doesn't change it. Speaker A: Well, I purposely upgraded to a ship that had a turret in it. Yeah, I paid like extra. It was on sale. I think I paid like 40 more bucks. And I got a ship that had a turret in it. Just so that when I'm playing with friends and one of them can't get their ship, at least come be a gunner. Yeah, nice. But. Yeah, some of those big ships are crazy. Speaker D: No, but it's a pipe dream and that's how they keep their dream alive. Speaker A: Enough people, they have investors. That's half the problem. Speaker D: They get the wells that see the potential but don't realize it's like it's never gonna happen. Speaker C: I think they'd be pulling a lot of lessons from. Speaker A: I know, right? Speaker C: I mean that thing, as far as I know, it's still running. Speaker A: It is own currency in the world. Speaker C: And it could have used. There was that one time they're talking about matching out with console gaming or PC gaming for works. Speaker A: Yeah. Did that thing ever do this? Speaker C: That's 471. Speaker A: It had a number on it. Speaker C: 4, 5, 7. Yeah. Speaker A: And I. Speaker B: It came out. I think. I don't know if it's. I think it all. It might have only came out on PlayStation. I think that's what it is. That's why never like hear about it. Speaker A: Did it. Is it still going? Speaker B: I think so. Speaker A: Interesting. Speaker B: PlayStation. Yeah. Speaker C: Because that's the one thing he was lacking is being able to get out and walk around on these planets, the stations. Speaker A: Because it was always a simulation. It's just. It's hard to go from that type of game to this other full type of game. Speaker C: Oh yeah. Well, I'm kind of surprised they just released it on one console because for some people. Speaker B: Interesting. Speaker C: But you look at the popularity Call of Duty Military Merc sets. Speaker A: That would. Speaker C: Have just been insane. If not some people would be in just for us to play work. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: Oh, I think like if you could just fly around and do like that. Speaker C: Big thing, have two accounts, one for big ship builder and the other one for. Speaker A: Yeah, sorry, you got Me. Granted. Don't ever mention Star Citizen. Speaker D: Star Citizen. Star Wars. Speaker A: Yes, it triggers me. Speaker C: What about. Speaker A: No, it doesn't trigger. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker A: Jacob and I will come in and change the company pretty fast. They need to go in and fire half the development team. Tell me who are the big ones. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Inspire all the managers first. Speaker D: Yeah, the artist can do. Speaker C: Hard to have all your bosses trying to micromanage you, seeing that it doesn't end well. Speaker D: No, I worked at Microsoft. I'm stupid. When you found, like, 10 bosses. Speaker C: Yeah, they don't want a TPS report. Speaker D: One boss says, hey, get this done. Another boss says, hey, get this done. And my boss comes in and goes, you can get this done. Middle of the day. This can change. This is priority one. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker C: You put a sign outside your office. Today's priorities are. Speaker D: All right, this is priority one. Middle of the day. Don't stop working on that. We don't care about that anymore. Speaker B: Great. Speaker D: Okay. I didn't care if it pays a paycheck. Speaker A: It's still frustrating. Speaker D: It's just like, okay, you could save money if you guys actually talk to each other. Speaker C: If you call the meeting between all. Speaker D: Your bosses, they wouldn't half only show up. Speaker C: Just imagine how that would go. It's like, why did you send me a meeting? Because I need to know what y'all are thinking. Speaker D: Yep, everything was priority one. Now. Nothing. Okay, I'll get this done with. Long work on that, but on contract, so I can go home whenever I want. Speaker A: There's something to that. I remember the days of. Speaker C: Turn it off and walk away. Speaker D: We had. We had overtime. So there was a guy there that made more overtime than normal hours because he would sit there and charge one device at a time and play World of Warcraft. He throw into overtime for a whole team because he got fired later. We didn't get overtime after that. Rack up like, 80 hours of overtime in a week. Speaker A: They're like, you actually have to be able to sleep. Speaker D: Oh, he didn't stay up all night playing World Warcraft in Com. Speaker A: The dude who worked for. I think it was Verizon. And he was really good at his job, turn everything on time, did excellent code and reporting. And then they were noticing an anomaly of some VPN connections from overseas that were coming in, and they were confused. And he had been outsourcing his job to India. So he's making little jobs like, I need to code this or work on this. And I completely managed it, like, no, that's the guy you probably need to talk to. And then say, well, don't ever do that again. But we're promoting you because we have these inefficiencies over here. But he had outsourced all of his work to other people for different projects, but he was giving them remote access to the system. Speaker B: So. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: He was playing a very different game. Speaker D: He's probably working for another company doing the same thing. Speaker A: Oh, I'm sure he had multiple jobs. Speaker D: Both pop up on Reddit every once in a while. I was like, I work three jobs and make like $100,000 a year each. Will not really do anything. It's like you find those jobs. Speaker A: Yeah. Or in big companies. Speaker D: Yeah. Oh, it's corporations. They don't watch. You can hide so easy in a corporation. Speaker A: Yeah. Most people that are called Asylum quitting. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: When they're like, this job is burning me out and they just stop working and they keep getting a check and they're like, they attend meetings and then nobody's checking on their productivity. Like, the communication is so bad that they're just paying this person to show up to meetings. Yeah, that's weird. Speaker D: You had one tech, you'd show up at 9 or 10, go to lunch at 11, come back at 3, go home at 4, and you're being paid full time. Speaker A: It was like a bunch of people in the, in that Twitter conversion when they let go of all those people, there are people like, as they were getting fired, people were posting like their Facebook and Instagram feeds and stuff. And I was like, showed up, like, sent some emails or I went to work, worked out, showered, did some emails, went to lunch, did a meeting, and they're like, man, I'm tired. Then like sent some more emails and you know, it was a, it was a busy day. But everything they did was like, they did yoga and all this stuff. By the time we got done with it, they sent like two or three emails, went to a meeting, and most of the time was showering, workout and yoga. How many people are doing this in the company? Speaker B: Wow. Speaker D: That still took months to fire them with. Speaker A: Yeah, well, you have to make sure you're not going to get your butts. Yeah, yeah. Speaker D: The legalese, like, he was a contractor. That's what I never got about Microsoft. Like, he'd be like, you would complain to your manager and be like, hey, this guy sucks at work. And everyone know on the team, he's like, hey, this place just doesn't do his job. And it'd be like months before. And that's just like, he's a contractor. You can just tell him you don't have a job in definitely Washington because it was one order. They could just say now you're fired. We don't need you. Speaker A: Yeah. It's one of the pros and cons of contracting work. Speaker D: It's just like. Speaker A: Jacob's point. Yeah. You mean you have to management, you. Speaker D: Know, 90% of the time, everything must manage incorporation. I doubt there's an annual on that. Speaker A: Broad like some management's point out of like it seems like out of necessity but it ends up not being measured. It just gets found Is a trillion plus dollar company and they're dealing with the same thing that people get paid 300 grand for middle management. Speaker C: I think you could probably say that about any major. And not just corporations. I mean even healthcare with the insurance bureaucracy. Speaker A: Thanks. Speaker C: Yeah. So why are you here? Well the government did new regulations and that doesn't matter any spots. So we had to hire 10 people to figure out what it is that got regulated so that we could do the proper people. Speaker A: Seriously. Like in the Nvidia one they rather than let people go one of the times everyone took a pay cut. The whole company. Wow. And including CEO. Everyone that they're taking that they're reducing everyone's pay by like this much because they didn't know who they could fire because they were successful. So it was better to just injure everyone than it was to like remove some important part of the cog audit. Speaker D: Some people and be like what are you doing here? Speaker A: Yeah. And some of that was like one side of their mouth. Speaker C: They're like, you know, we don't want. Speaker A: To let anybody do it because you're all important. I'm like, no, that's not how you feel. Speaker C: We can't kill anyone outright. So we're going for a simple group. Speaker A: We have no idea who that little Internet block is. We're worried if we fire them and things will go south. Speaker D: Bankers up. They're like, how much do you make? We don't think you're worth that much. Get out. These are contractors. And I was like, we needed that guy. He wasn't. Speaker A: Ricardo went through like multiple cuts like because he wasn't a blue badge for. Speaker B: Oh yeah. Speaker A: Contract eight or nine years. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker A: Because every time it's like, oh, the contract's up. And no matter what they're going to review the contract. Doesn't matter if the other guys are good or not. It's just reviewing the contract with this external provider. He helped build like the early exchange labs. He built like the backend ops reporting stuff. Obviously he was the team that built all that. He knows more about that than I'll ever know. And so he said some pretty interesting things about how those teams run. He's like, yeah, they just go through interview everyone and they'll be like the new. The new ones who win the contract, of course, they're underbidding everything and so it's hard to dangerous in and of itself. So the new one comes in, interviews. Everybody who's there is like, we're keeping you seven and you 12 are gone and we're bringing in our own people or whatever. Speaker D: And we didn't get interviews, man. Speaker A: It was just like, yeah, sometimes you don't. Speaker D: Yeah, we never had a big cut. When we had big cups, we got interviewed. It was just like, these people are gone. Okay. Speaker A: Yep. Speaker B: Super weird. Speaker D: And like the one on one meetings, like, oh, I one on one meetings. I was like, yeah, you're not coming back. Speaker A: Yep. If the manager's too lazy to do. Speaker C: Real one on one, that's a red flag event. Speaker D: End of the day, one on one meetings with HR and someone else. Like, yeah, you're not coming back. Speaker A: Other companies that mass fire over Zoom, if you're on this call, that's like. Speaker C: Breaking up over via text. Speaker A: Yeah, that's literally as several times that's been done. I think Musk did it once. I think probably. I don't think I converted to my guy. I think he's interesting. I think he's smart. Speaker D: I don't know if he's smart. I think he claims to be smart. Speaker A: But I definitely think that he's working people. I work hard now, but I think it be worse with him. Cool. Speaker D: Well, corporations are interesting if you're young. That's my bet. You work till you're 30, pay off your debt, become a millionaire, you gotta do whatever you want. If I would restart life, that's what I would do. Speaker A: Just work crazy hours. Speaker D: Yep. Because there was young engineers in there. That's what they did. And they were like 23, 24. It's like, yeah, that's what I'm doing. Like their college would be paid off. Speaker A: And. Speaker D: Man, that's smart because you get all the stock. Speaker B: Like when you get Blue Badge at. Speaker D: Microsoft, I mean you get all like. Speaker B: Stock options and like getting Blue Badge is a payment. Speaker D: If you go mechanical engineer, electrical engineer. Yeah, I don't think it'd be that hard. They're always hiring them. Maybe spend 10 years a night grind and do whatever you want. Yeah, let's go shoot out some. Speaker A: Steal their Gold. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Play cyber punk up. We're gonna shoot up Corpus. Speaker D: We're doing that in real life. I don't want to play cyberpunk. Although there's an inventor in here named Elon. I'll show you. Speaker C: Supposed to get your Tesla ray gun. If you shoot. Speaker D: I'll go find the real Tesla. If I find an Edison or. Speaker B: I. Speaker C: Don'T imagine what Elon is a lot. Mike Edison. He knows how to identify talent and. Speaker D: Get him to work and get the money to buy. Speaker C: He's not the inventor himself. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker D: Makes tweets and make stock market go up with them. Just like you threatened to buy D D and their stock like went home. Speaker C: Not too happy with west coast at the moment either. Speaker D: So anything they come out with probably will be AI generated anymore. Clank. They fired a ton of their. Is that the Wizards of the Coast? Hasbro. I guess now. Yeah. I think they fired a bunch of their artists and writers. Speaker A: Which is weird because we went through that whole thing where it's like we're gonna do. Speaker D: Only we got chat. GPT in mid journey. Let's go. That says Pete. Speaker A: Yeah. That's not gonna be better. Yeah. Speaker C: I hear just bits and pieces. Little videos on the. The rule set changes and it feels. Not that I want to see the. The depth of Pathfinder math, but it feels closer to telephone casual. Wow. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: You can't resist it. It automatically. Speaker A: I don't think you need to change the game to make it where everyone wants to play it because they can try that. No one will play. Okay. Speaker D: Halo. They did that. That was actually Halo 5 was their strategy was make a Halo for people that hate Halo. And same with the shop Atlas there. Because they wanted more people. Like more people. So you're going to elevate your fan base. Speaker C: The hardcore people. You know one in bought in. Yeah. Speaker D: Read all the books, played all the games. They changed D and D a lot. Like people's going to leave. Speaker C: There's so many more options now available. Speaker D: You can stop us anytime. He doesn't like keep chatting. Speaker B: That's up to you. Speaker A: It's all fun. Speaker C: Yes. We're riding mounts across the prairie. There he is chatting. Speaker D: Yeah, that's right. Speaker A: That's what we've been chatting about. Speaker C: The possible alternate realities of the quantum experience. Speaker D: Someone's been drinking too much. What are you talking about? Speaker C: I'm not saying much. I'm a ragdoll being carried by a 2 ton lizard. Coming your way. Speaker A: The doc's been saying all this stuff about corporations and Dungeons and Dragons and Stuff literally saying. What are you going on? You look over. My eyes are purple. I just been weirding out. Talking to somebody in another plane. Speaker C: Were you ready? Were you prepared? Speaker A: I can only do that. What's the most you can roll? Is it three when you're going here? Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: So I can do it at least one more time. Then will you become our spirit guide after that? One more time? Yeah. Speaker D: Be something. Yeah. Speaker B: Let's see. Review for. I'll post some stuff for everyone. Speaker D: In. Speaker B: A couple weeks during break when we transition to that to everyone. For the blood sun now for the SES. The new system to do weird west. Speaker A: Was that 20 days we just played. What was that? Speaker B: No, that was Frontiers film. Speaker D: No better for long term. Speaker B: Cool has progression. Speaker A: I haven't read this one. I remember you posted some of that. Speaker B: No, that won't. We won't switch to that till sometime in January. 11th will be the earliest, but I'll work on some. Should read these things and then look at these things to make your start planning your character. But we'll just do another session like zero. To build characters or whatever. Speaker C: I'll have to erase the table. Speaker B: Take a picture. Let's put it on the wall. Start collecting. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: I'll start making collages. And then you guys do have your church boon from Ramsey. Well, she's on the way to make sure you guys have it. Oh, let's see. And then last time. This is long, but I don't think. Speaker A: I'll read all of it. I got spider gem. Speaker B: Yep. Yeah. So you guys headed north from after night War, I guess. Headed north up to the spotted Spiderwoods logging camp. Five days of travel. Then at night, Jacques found the cabin in the woods. Stole eggs from the person inside that. Speaker D: Was sleeping in the window. Speaker C: Find out what sort of eggs those were. Speaker D: Too late. They were already cooked. I will go. Speaker B: They're just like. They're just like regular like chicken game bird eggs. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Then you had another quiet day of travel across the river. Ta near arrived at the spotted place. Went into Katie's cantina. Ramsey's. Walked up to a table of people and told them to move. They stood up and started like they were gonna fight. But then all their faces went white and they strayed away to the opposite side of the cantina. Speaker C: Demons out. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Servers were quick and courteous and a bit scared of Ramses and the rest of the party now sitting at a freshly wiped clean table. None of the doves came by to solicit their services. Then Doc got really drunk. The party headed to the church of Loot asleep. It's raining again in the morning. Doc got his hungover fixed by preacher Bass. Speaker D: Honor marriage. Speaker B: Nia's had breakfast at Katie's cantina where Audrey got his jam. Nia shop for some repellent or for at the needy tree general store room your cowboy supplies. Audrey got some spotted bug recon. Speaker C: Or. Speaker B: You guys parted way with Ramses. She told you guys to come see her again in brave landing because sun and moon will need a new home or need new homes. And then you guys set out for traveling. And then about half. Speaker A: About midday. Speaker B: Talon sound pierced the air. And bursting out of the trees at pack of hard talons race after you. It let fly hit. The pack leader seemed unfazed. Malta was thrown. And they jumped it jumped over the fire. Audrey recalled tribal stories of braves writing them writing into battle on them. Weird whispers tell him to do it. So Audrey stops his horse gets down and starts walking towards the fast approaching pack leader. It leaps and bites Audrey's shoulder at the same time moment Audrey's weird is unleashed. And Audrey's throne rolls late. His throne laid still. And Jock and Doc keep galloping thinking Audrey's dead. The other talons break off pursuit ahead to Audrey's body. The pack leader props up to Audrey, grabs and by the back of his clothes and begins running after Jaquen Dot. The pack follows, yipping. Speaker A: Down. Speaker B: So Jack, as you look over your shoulder, you see this. Speaker D: What do you do? Speaker B: There's five of them. There's one in the front. They're the hard towns. Speaker D: Big features. Speaker B: Yeah, the big. No, there's five of those. Speaker D: Five of them. And one has Andre. Speaker B: Yes, one has Audrey. Remind you guys like seven foot tall at the shoulder. But one of them has Audrey like grab like from the back of his foot. I mean it looks like he's carrying. You can't really tell how. But you got like blood pouring out of him. Fairly dripping I guess. Leaving it. Speaker D: Is that one leaving or is it. Speaker B: No, they're following you. You guys. Speaker D: Audrey. Speaker A: How far away are they? Speaker B: They're pretty far. It would be. Speaker A: I probably would shoot out in there. You. You have better aim than I do. Speaker D: Remember. Someone has them. Speaker A: I don't remember who's rifle I borrowed. Speaker C: Hey, so I think I've got the sawed off. Speaker A: Yeah, I have your right underneath my jacket. You should have your ration. Speaker D: Maybe I do. Speaker A: I have his. You have long range with your pistols too, don't you? Speaker D: Yeah, they just go up a range first. I don't know. There's a range possible. Speaker B: No. Say you can shoot at him, but I'm just shooting at the one carrying him. Yeah, yeah. Speaker A: It might be new characters. That's right. It might be an execution. Emergency execution. Yeah. Speaker B: The 11th. You hit them and it slows down from the rest of the pack. Stops with. Speaker A: It. Speaker B: Shakes. It doesn't. Yeah, it doesn't shake his head. It just stops and then starts trotting after you guys shoot. Speaker A: And I'm like trying to get him to drop them. Speaker D: That's the plan. Speaker B: So at this point, you guys are still galloping. So you distance it enough for a bit. You're out of sight. That's what you're doing. Speaker A: Well, did you slow up to shoot? Speaker D: I probably want it, but if they started slowing down, I might slow down a little bit. Speaker A: I would stay with me. I'll kind of not circle far away, but kind of circle out just a little bit distance between the two of us in case they want to split after this. Speaker D: Again, it's the one carrying audience. Speaker B: 12. You hit him and he stops and he starts to turn around and go leave. Speaker A: I pull my rifle and take a shot. Speaker C: It wasn't for the fact we really turned around. He might have shot me. Speaker B: Yeah. It. They start to head off into the woods. Speaker D: I follow. Speaker B: So when you turn to, like, follow them, two of them stop and watch you. Speaker D: I'll charge up on my horse and just going. Start aiming, firing out over my pistol. Speaker A: When you take off, you hear me mumble something. That's probably foul language. And you hear me coming behind you. Speaker B: All right. Speaker A: Revolvers as well. So here we go. Speaker B: Pull up your shot. Speaker A: Two shots. Speaker B: This would just be. This would probably be. Well, I guess depending on what you're doing, if you're trying to aim and fire. If you're just letting your all your firing it. Speaker D: Two of them lighting up. Speaker A: Super aiming. Firing you in girl. Twice. Speaker B: No, it's just one. Speaker D: Mine's a 10. Speaker A: I'm making my attend. Speaker B: All right. Your pistol rounds hit and mostly glance off the off their plates. And then they get ready to. You see them, like crouch down like they're ready to pounce at you and your horses. Speaker D: Holster my pistols and get my shotgun out. Speaker C: A doesn't know what's going on. Speaker D: Yep. Speaker A: How far away are you? Speaker B: You guys are pretty close now with you galloping full charging at them. Speaker A: Chucked it at the nearest one you know. All right. Speaker B: Rolling rollers rules. Speaker D: I see a 1 8. Speaker A: The 6. Speaker B: All right, let's see. That was glancing or put yourself in danger. Speaker A: Danger. Since they're both of us there with two of them together. Speaker B: All right. Yeah. So as you throw your Molotov, that one leaps at you and the Molotov shatters on its chest plate as it is going to either land on you or your horse. What would you like to do? Actually, it's aiming. You can tell from its trajectory that it's aiming to take you out off your horse. Speaker A: Then I just like side drop off my horse. So it goes over. Speaker B: All right. Roll that react in danger. Speaker A: Oh. Nothing. Speaker B: Goes just over your horse. Speaker A: Hunting you be cursed again. Speaker B: And then breaks her nearby water. All right. You're charging the other one and it's about ready to jump at you. Speaker A: Oh, question. When I shot. One of my guns has two silver bullets in it. With silver bullets that made any difference on the one that got hit. Speaker B: You can. You didn't see any difference? Speaker D: No. To get close, I want to stand up on my horse and actually push off and jump up. Try to shoot it on the top of its head with my shotgun before. Speaker B: It bounces brain it. Speaker D: Yeah. All right. Speaker B: So it won't let you get that close. If you wanted jump to try and get height. That's. They will jump before it's that close of you. Speaker D: Then I'll just wait and see who's gonna jump at me. Speaker B: Okay. Because it does. It will. It will jump at you. That's. Yeah. It leaps as you. Leaps at you as you're ready your. Did you bring your shotgun up? Speaker D: I came for his open mouth. Speaker A: Soft tissue. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: He allows. Speaker D: Open mouth. And his brain or eyes shoot through his roof of his mouth. Speaker A: All right. Speaker B: You hit and blow a chunk of its face off and then it's. And it goes. And it's on the other system. And the body lands on you. It's going. Or like its trajectory hasn't changed. So it's still heading for you. What do you do? Speaker D: Dodge out of the way. Speaker B: It lands and rolls. Speaker D: Then begins to run for the woods gushing blood. And then there's another one there. Adults. Speaker B: The other one is always has run away towards some nearby water. Speaker A: I set them on. Speaker B: They're both right. Speaker D: Can we even see the other ones that had the other pack, the bigger pack. Speaker B: They've disappeared into the woods. Speaker A: The one that had him, you know, run that direction probably for a bit. I don't know. Speaker D: Probably way faster than us. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker D: I mean, take a look. Sorry. Speaker B: You guys are pursuing the other. Speaker D: Yeah. See if we can even catch up to him. Speaker B: There is a bit of trail you can see while you're on your horse but it's. The terrain is pretty rough in here. Speaker D: We have to get off our horses. Speaker A: Try a light but soon you can. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: As fast as we got away we end up giving them 3 SL. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker A: If you like camp and check for a trail leader. That's it. Speaker B: Yeah like the trail is hard to like see from horseback but if you but you could probably follow it. You could follow it on foot if you want to. Speaker D: Human hear anything we just stopped. Speaker B: Give me a group Nigel which I guess seems smarter county hear anything with. Speaker D: After all they got no eyes here My ears ringing. Speaker A: Everywhere he goes running. Speaker D: By. Speaker B: Say you hear swamp noises basically standard wildlife. You see very little of anything from horseback. Speaker A: So the horses wouldn't be able to follow us. Speaker D: Why don't we want to leave the horses here? Speaker B: No the horses can you can navigate through on horseback. But that's what I'm saying is you don't see. You hardly see anything. You catch a footprint here and like but it's hard to the trail is starting to like disappear or become very difficult to see the horse. Speaker A: But I'll hop you can stay on horseback. I'll hop down and guide my horse with you looking at the ground. Yeah I'll just stay on lookout. Speaker D: Moving push. Speaker A: What time of day is. Speaker B: It on June okay. Speaker A: You'Re looking for as a doctor I shouldn't recognize blood. Speaker D: This. Speaker C: Question is is it mine or is it the lizard did J blew out Potter hood's face well it kind. Speaker A: Of ran off in different direction. I think. Speaker D: We all might get new characters. Speaker A: Let's feel like cover me question mark start looking at the path. I just leave my horse forward as we find it. Speaker B: Yep now you're on the ground. You can see you are starting to see like we are picking up some like blood on the bushes occasionally like Colin marks in the. Speaker A: I'm being fairly quiet. Look you see me look at my horse. Speaker C: I'm horse winning back. Speaker D: We weren't figuring out much need the hard truth of like well he's probably gone like 75. Speaker A: Rain kill one yeah we don't exactly have a now you said we have a our boon things are things we have to turn into call we don't have any other items or skills right now. Speaker B: I don't think so. I think everyone's used nearly I guess well Audrey would be the only one I think that you might have still had an automatic success. I don't remember. Speaker A: No. Speaker C: I think I had to use that. Speaker B: In Nightmore to Yeah yeah that's That's What? I. Yeah. So no one has. I don't think anyone has any. Speaker D: I was sticking dynamite. Yeah. Worried about those. Speaker A: And they're bringing in. That's it. I could talk to the fake person to see if you could help me find them, but I don't know if they were gonna. Speaker C: He might become a guiding spirit team. Speaker A: Not the first time. Speaker C: No, I mean perpetual guiding spirit. If your weird Max is out. Speaker A: Yeah, I won't Max out on the next call. So I think we need opacity to that. Speaker D: We don't hear me see them that whole time. Not much other signs on the track. Speaker A: We don't have a writer to help us out. Speaker B: Well, she was going up north. Speaker D: Backed around and back up. Speaker A: I think four days. Speaker D: It'll be fun. Speaker B: I don't know. Speaker C: It's a weird world. I might be better than five. Speaker D: There we go. Speaker A: Those are going to town if they don't eat them. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: I don't have anything left. I got one single bullet. We're not taking five of us. Speaker D: I only kill one. Almost killed it. David. Speaker A: That was going to be involuntarily whistling tunes for a while. That was a pretty good shot. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: They don't have Dixie in this world, but he's whistling something similar. Speaker D: No, I probably would have followed it for like half an hour. That was kind of request though. Speaker A: I can consult people about the creatures. Actually, did I consult them about these. Speaker D: Creatures before I go to the other thing? Speaker B: No, I don't think so. Speaker A: I don't know that they could tell me location, but they could tell me like where they messed and stuff. But even then, I don't know if we want to go into some cave or find. I think it's a unfortunate reality. What I know, like it was hard to see from a distance, but with them carrying him around, I wouldn't be able to tell if he was alive or dead. Speaker D: Is he knocked out this alley. Speaker B: You're too far away. Didn't know. And he saw blood and that they were curious. But that was. You couldn't. He wasn't. He looked like rag dolly. When you guys wrote, did we see. Speaker A: His power go off? Speaker B: No, you wouldn't know because it was just. He just described it just like his eyes flashing. Speaker A: Yeah, but I just. I mean as far as I know. Speaker C: He'S gonna have kind of a shockwave. But if you're galloping like hell going the other direction. Even if I slid up like a Dragon Ball character. Speaker A: So I see you in their mouth and we just spot them like that. They're Trying to kill us. Then I'm elevating that. Taken for food. So they're like unless we got a couple of cannons trained on. Speaker D: You mean that rumored Gatling gun. Speaker A: Even then have to do some serious caliber pistol to do a lot. Sorry to say, but I think going into there is a full band. If they're not already watching this and get back up on my voice. Mostly I will feel invulnerable. See me kind of grim face. I get down again and start pushing forward. Not the worst decision we've ever made. Speaker B: Yeah. As you follow the trail for another hour, you hear it starting getting closer to the. You start hearing the river like fairly off in the distance still. Speaker D: But how big, you know, how wide. Speaker B: You would know that there. That river flows towards the coast west. It floats west. Becomes fairly significant later. Further, like days away from you. Z crossed like probably one of the narrowest. Like you guys just like rode across it. Speaker D: Go up to the river and see. I guess. Speaker B: It'S heading like towards it. But it doesn't get like super close to it. Oh yeah. Eventually it does come. Actually, I was gonna say if you for, you know, you guys follow the trail for a total of 90 minutes so far. You do fairly faintly in the distance, just begin to hear like the river. Speaker A: We have a little bit of sound asking. Push a little. I have my rifle out. I'm guiding my horse, but I have my rifle out. You have any more Molotovs? How many do? Speaker D: Yeah. Pulling out my horse bag. Here you go. I take three. Speaker A: How much d I could have? Speaker B: Just one. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker D: We had to buy those. These ones I got made from the tavern moonshine. Speaker C: So you said you don't want to light them up. Use it as a disinfectant. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Just take a drink. Speaker C: Can we kill it? Speaker A: Stuff the tank making matrix. All right. Keep tr. Trying to be as quiet as possible. Speaker B: How much longer you guys want to follow it? Speaker A: We have some noise coming. I mean, it's still. We're already in a bad spot. Speaker D: I don't know. Another half hour to an hour. This point being getting late. Speaker A: Yeah. Get too dark. Speaker B: But it's about 1:30. And then after like three. Not bad. Both you guys could do it if you want. Give me a navigate tool so it smarts. Your tiny. Speaker A: Book. Speaker B: Yeah. Is that the best of the role? This is. Yeah. This is just. I'm gonna make it a set a six or five. Speaker D: Me smart. Speaker B: Yeah. So as you guys follow the trail, let's say for another two hours till 3:30. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: 3Ish 3:30. Speaker C: I'm gonna laugh if we end up back at that cat and you stole the eggs. Speaker B: Shoot that guy. Speaker A: No, that. Speaker B: That was on the other side of the river. You haven't crossed whatever yet. Speaker D: Yeah, I would say. Speaker B: Doc, you realize that you're. The trail is like we're going in circles. This is circle. It's like starting to like curve. Like curve back. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: At this point I'd be like, ah, we'll drink to him later. Speaker C: I can see that for Jacques. I mean as many people as you've. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Lost work. Speaker D: Oh, definitely. We spend like three hours or so doing this. Two or three hours and seeing what preachers can do. Like no way. Speaker A: A small kid. Plus the longer we go, the more effortless they're going to be. Speaker D: Even see tracks. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. You guys were. Had a tr. You'd see bits of blood here and there and you could see a claw mark. Occasionally you'd see a footprint or two. Speaker A: In my. The spirit people, they just have knowledge. They don't have any like tactical ability, like to know what's. Where people are. Speaker D: Uav. Speaker A: What's that? Speaker D: Uav? Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: No, yeah, it's like knowledge on like how to look for something or how to build something. How to build something. How to get some location of like an item or something about the creature. Speaker A: Themselves, but not where. Speaker D: That's advanced forest. Speaker A: Yep. Speaker B: Bush and swamp. Speaker A: It doesn't look like there's like changing an elevation or heading towards a cave on some rocks or anything. It's just circling back. I got nothing. Speaker D: Man. This truck connects with trailer. Speaker A: We can keep going on this trail. Might as well just going back the direction we were going outside as well. Back up with her injured friends. Speaker C: Considering the time frame. Do my wounds jump? Speaker D: Sh. Speaker C: A major, a moderate and a minor. Speaker B: The. Speaker C: The major, I think was. Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Linear bleeding. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Or does the body just naturally caught up a bit? Speaker B: It would have caught it up some. The bite was pretty bad. But I'll say during this time. Yeah, you're still bleeding some. Speaker C: I could see a moderate becoming severe, but still have a minor bleed. Speaker B: Yeah, I'll say the. The bleed does eventually slow and like. But you like ended up losing like enough that you actually like passed out. Yeah. So put the like minor bleed but like major unconscious. So yeah. You guys end up following the trail and then about another hour. Yeah. So it's the. The sun setting. Break back out onto the. Like you. As you're coming back out onto the road, see Audrey in the middle of the road. Speaker A: Well. Speaker B: And you see we kind of just. Speaker D: Stayed here the whole time. Speaker B: And you see the one that. The talon that was carrying them, like you just are like just making out his shape on the edge of the woods. About like 10ft from Audrey. Yeah. Speaker A: Oh, like hiding or just standing there. Speaker B: Just like Stanley. You see his like face sticking out of the. You see a little bit of his face sticking out of the. The bush, but he's not like hiding, hiding. Speaker A: Well, this feels like a big trap connect. From where I'm looking. Can I tell if he's alive or not? He's not moving. Speaker D: Oh. Speaker B: You see, you're close enough now that you see that he's breathing very shallowly. And you can see that like his. His side is like caked in like heavy mud and blood. Sorry. Speaker C: I had really bad rolls during that brown blind. Speaker B: Oh. Speaker A: So I'm gonna tell you. Why don't you stay here and I sling my rifle through my, you know, my bag stuff. I'm gonna take out my first aid kit, start approaching. So I just sling my right in the back. Speaker B: So it's. Speaker A: I'm now no longer holding a weapon, but I'm just holding a. Yeah, my health, kid. Just started slowly walking, but watching and then start yelling if you see something. Watch my sides. Speaker D: Yep. I'd be watching my rifle up. Speaker A: Tell my horse to. How far away from us is he? Speaker B: Yeah, trail is probably like maybe 20ft. So you're. You'd say when you hit, when you like popped out, you're like ten foot from end. On the other side of the road is the talon sitting there essentially in cover, sort of. Speaker A: Okay, then I stay off my horse and approach him and watching. Watching him as I approach. Speaker B: He's just staring intently at you. And I guess too, as you're like walking up there and like, as you like lock eyes with it, you get a sense of like, there's a little more intelligence here than. Okay, then just a life scary beast of the woods. Speaker A: And let's do this. Since I know they don't technically work on. I take. I hope that my. Every second I take my pistol and pull it out and I lay it on the ground and grab my other one. I lay it on the ground and then approach. I still have my rifle on my back, but approach with. Speaker B: Being watched. Speaker A: I sat there on the ground and started pulling out some stuff there. I'm not displaying any knives or anything. Speaker C: It's just. Speaker A: It's like gods and like, no, I messed up. Speaker C: You might have to do surgery and stuff. Speaker A: Clean. Well, I gotta clean stuff first. You're caked in mud. Speaker B: So I'd be like. Speaker A: And maybe there's some liquid. Put it in a cloth and like clean it off. Speaker C: You need new clothes. I know. Speaker A: Pouring, pouring water in places and start trying to clean them up. They got solids and crap. I would definitely like focus on stopping the bleeding. He's got any bleeding going on. Yeah. Speaker B: I was say, as you like start cleaning off the mud, you would see some wounds start bleeding again. Speaker A: So I'd actually apply a good immediate minor set. Just use one of those, which is like pretty clear. I'm applying that like on top of a wound with one that's inscribed. I'm watching looking up every once in a while, see what it's doing. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Keep working on. Do my surgeon thing. Spend downtime patching my outlet. Speaker B: Every once. Speaker A: In a while going, Mac. You see anything side to side. Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say. Yeah. Takes you probably like a good hour. And like as you just got there, the sun. Because I think the sun sets it. Or is it eight? I don't remember. The sun would have started. Speaker A: Starting to. Speaker C: Set in the south. Speaker B: But yeah, he spent an hour just like getting him cleaned up and getting like the blood dodged. Speaker A: And I fired up my lantern dark. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: Yeah. I probably would have hopped off my horse and maybe built a little fire on some of watching that one. He's not doing the. Yeah. Speaker B: Nope. It's just been staring at. But then Corey, like when you begin to move it, like you can see it watch. And then you hear like. Oh. Like kind of like actually gets you more like feel like a deep like rumble come from it. But it doesn't. Boo. Speaker D: Ask if there's any friends around. Any friends around. Speaker B: So you hear almost something like a chuckle. Only it'd be like the vet like Venom's voice from like the. Like that super like weird deep reverberating. So honestly. Speaker A: Put, last I got into it, I think we all got off to a bad start. Speaker D: Like, this is our friend. We don't eat friends. Speaker A: Friends, not food. Speaker D: Friends not food. Speaker A: So what kind of wounds do you have? What kind of wounds do you have? Speaker C: Yeah, and I've got a pretty good bite. Kind of covers my shoulder. Comes down to about mid chest. Speaker A: So anything if you had minor the healing salve would take care of the. Stop the bleeding and take care of the minor. And then I patch up an ally trauma. All their trauma is reduced by one level and all minor trauma is related. But I need to stop the bleeding, so I use the kit. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker A: But unless there's A type of wound that my traditional medicine can't do. Speaker C: This would the bike go to a moderate? Speaker A: Like, it was magical or mental? I can't do anything about that. Speaker C: Well, unconscious until I get more blood in you. Speaker B: Right? Well, I mean, the part of, like, the doc's weird stuff because he can just, like, fix the wounds or whatever. There. You would. After. After he gets done working on you for, like, an hour, I'd say you would. Your unconsciousness would go away, but your bite is still, like, very much there. Speaker A: When you come to it. I just, like, don't move. We're being watched by one of your new friends. So far, he hasn't done anything but no sudden movements. Speaker C: Yeah, I think he was taking me to get help. I hope that didn't cause too much trouble. Speaker A: I'm like, I think you and I have different interpretations of his intentions. Speaker C: Well, he's all cuddly. Speaker A: Although I will say I'm surprised that we. We went looking for you and came back to the trail and you were deposited in the middle of the road. Yeah, I still not sure that this isn't a trap, but it seems kind of odd for them to let me fix up their dinner when you're already fairly well prepared. They tenderized you and everything. Speaker C: Chuckling, cough at the same time, like. Speaker D: Trail rations. Toss them over another thing. Speaker B: So, yeah, so, like, Audrey on. After you guys cover, you hear. You guys hear, like. Like, that weird reverberating, like, growling, like, noise comes from him. Speaker D: But. Speaker B: Audrey, you get the. You basically here, and it's gonna be. I don't. Have you seen the Venom movies? The new ones? Speaker C: Not the new ones. I saw the first one. Speaker B: Okay, so you know what Venom sounds like that crazy, like. Yeah. So you hear, like, that voice in your head. It just goes, death now. Speaker A: Okay, now getting better. What was the first part? Speaker B: Desna? Oh. Speaker C: I'm taking the impression that I'm Desna. Speaker B: Yeah. So I went, like, yeah. So then he goes, oh, just need this here. That's not safe. Speaker A: That's not safe. Speaker C: Are you okay? This is going to take a while to heal. Do I catch a name of. Speaker B: Oh, me? Speaker C: Or are we both destined now? Because. Speaker B: No, he would. He would not. Sorry, not nuke. Too slow. Speaker C: My bridge is. Speaker A: So. Speaker D: I don't know. Speaker C: I might get images in my head, too. If it goes two ways. Speaker B: You would get. You would just hear from you just. I get sense that, like, that's boss man of, like, all the talents. And then maybe guess where you grew up. Why don't you give me A reason role. Speaker C: So that would be. Speaker B: Cunning or smarts. Speaker C: Yeah, we're gonna burn some points on that because I rolled a six and there's no bonus in smarts. Speaker B: So if you get. So the 7 to 9 is the only you, you'll learn something interesting. Speaker C: Okay. In that case, we'll. We'll spend a lot to get to seven. There's no difference between seven and a nine when it comes to whatever's interesting. Speaker B: So you, I. You would. Because where you grew up, you would have in Mystic Flats, as close to the, to the tribal lands down there to the south. So you would have learned. You probably would have ran into some Inuit people from there from, like, would come into town to trade. Okay. Speaker C: So then that would be an Inuit or. Speaker B: No, you. You would know that that's like one of their, like deities type being that they worship. Speaker C: I find out that I know kids, they're a death deity. And he was running slow. It would, it would cause me to chuckle again. Speaker B: Now you, yeah, you convey that you'd probably hear a little bit of chocolate and then just go. Just be like, desna slow. Speaker A: We hear him saying stuff out loud. I just like having a conversation with it. Speaker B: I guess that will be up to you if you want. If you're having to verbalize this stuff or if it's. Speaker C: Oh, at this point, it's so new. I would probably be verbalizing. Speaker A: So we just hear you saying stuff in English, but then we hear it grasping back. I just be looking. I stopped working on it. Really. We're gonna need to get you a funny looking saddle. Speaker C: Maybe don't stop working. I still, I'm still holy here. Speaker A: Like, are you making sense to him? Speaker C: We're communicating of sorts. Speaker B: Whatever. Speaker A: It's not the strangest thing I think I've ever seen. Keep working. Speaker C: There's so many questions that we'd be flooding through Audrey's mind. Speaker A: It would be. Speaker C: Almost chaotic. So wait a minute. You're lefoot and lizard and almost like what he did to Ramses with all those questions. It would be almost like that through this communication. So half of it would be mental, half of it would be auditable. Speaker B: Yeah. So it's like if you started like, as you started like hitting with all that stuff, it would just get like too noisy. Speaker C: And so that's like, what does destiny mean? Small, annoying and noisy. Speaker B: They just replied box food. That's not box. Speaker C: I really has to ponder that for a while. He's the closest he's ever been boss. It was maybe a cat that didn't listen to him and his horse, which was pretty much an equal partnership with kn. And then he probably looked around like, wait a minute. You see my horse? Speaker B: He just goes, no, fine. Speaker C: Well, it's. It's audible, so I'm also kind of looking at. Speaker A: Porsche. Speaker D: It ran off. And then we had to go find you. Speaker C: So I said, if you find him, can you bring him back alive? Well, can you. Can you talk to him like you can be. Speaker B: No, wait. Tahoma fight. Come back. Okay. Speaker C: Don't scare him too bad. Speaker B: No, we to home a fight. Speaker C: That's another yes. Speaker B: And then. Then you hear him go, can man help Toga? Speaker C: Hey, Jacques, if I set you up with a guide, would you bring back my horse? I promise they won't eat yet as. Speaker D: Long as they know a friend, not food. Speaker C: It was Jehovah. Speaker B: He said, tahoma will go find your horse. And then he asked if man. And he kind of looked at Doc helped Chogen. Speaker D: Oh, had the hole in his head. Speaker C: Good chance I'd say, hey, Doc, there's another patient you have for tonight. Speaker A: I'm confused, looking around, like, what? I didn't hear what he said. Speaker C: No, I. I would say there's another patient. Are you up for it? Speaker A: But when you say another patient, I'm taking a human. Speaker C: No, this one's going to be much more exciting than little measly on me. Speaker D: How much drugs did you give Audrey? Speaker A: No, I just, like, none. It was all topical. I started looking through my stuff. Nope. Speaker C: Audrey's got good grilling. Speaker A: Maybe I accidentally gave him the Molotov. I don't know. I just. I look at the creature, I'll be like, your friends hurt one of them. Speaker C: I don't know what happened while I was out. Did you, like, do any sort of serious damage to the. Speaker A: I just looked back at you, but he's kind of whistling outside one side. Speaker D: Of his face as I'm cleaning my shotgun. Speaker C: You want to see if you can make it better? Speaker A: I'm not sure he's going to be our greatest fan. If he sees us, is he going to be aggressive? Speaker C: I would relay this to the pooh. Chahoga comes. Will he be able to handle. Speaker A: Yeah, but what if this. What if you're. Well, I'm not hearing this, but, like. Speaker C: If you're not around, I'm not going anywhere. You patch me up, so I'm not going anywhere. Speaker A: No, I mean, like, is his friend coming here? Do we have to go find her? Speaker C: I'd be late at Jehovah. Come. Speaker B: Is here. Speaker C: So I asked Jeff to go with Tahoma to. To find kn. Don't worry, he'll guide you to where. Speaker A: An ox is and he promises not. Speaker C: To eat you before midnight. And I say this jokingly, it's a. You're a friend, not. Speaker A: Dude, do you have any dealing cells? I'm gonna, I'm gonna give you one. I'm giving you one. I still have one left on me. But I'm giving you one just in case if you get there and like the horses probably winded is jacked up like if he got cut or something or you get end up getting. You'll have something to patch the egg. Speaker D: Man will show up. Speaker C: I do have one healing set that I think like if it's needed should be in the saddlebag with Knox. Speaker A: Okay, that's fine. Speaker C: Not to mention the jelly if you want to get yourself something to eat. Speaker B: Oh yeah. Law Poo goes, need food, need food. Speaker C: I think we will all need food before the end of the night. And then I think the hand comes up. It's not really strong, but it kind of steady, steady. And it's like go ahead and send it to Hoga. Speaker A: And. Speaker C: I'm not sure if they've got chameleon like abilities or anything, but no, you would notice. Speaker B: You would hear one like come out of the woods from like behind you guys like where you came into the. Came back onto the road and you can see like a good chunk of like his face is damaged. Like a good size of his face is damaged. Speaker C: This is a living autopsy, doc. Don't finish him off. Speaker D: Fire damage or from the shot? Speaker B: No, it's the shotgun one. You haven't seen the one that got burnt. Speaker A: Can I tell from its face if it has like any kind of advanced healing properties on its own? Speaker B: It looks like it's like not bleeding anymore. But you're not sure if it will like reconstruct itself fully. Speaker A: Not really sure what he wants me. Speaker B: To do for him. Speaker A: If she's not bleeding anymore. Speaker C: Take a look and see if there is anything that you can do. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: This is going to test your inquisitive mind. Speaker A: Yeah, something like that. Speaker C: Unlike the vampire, we don't have to kill it first, right? Speaker A: Well, I want to like scrutinize on it and just see what I can learn because I can't like fully autopsy it but I can generally gain benefits when I. Yeah and investigating the creature. So I want to do something as best I can autopsy without killing it. I go through and do a scrutinize to see what I can learn about. Since I've never seen his physiology before. When he comes up, though, I'll like, pat him on the neck and be like, sorry for the trouble. And I'll be. I'll do my best. Speaker C: And I imagine they would probably come over and lay down close to me. Speaker B: Yeah, it approached, like, away from the horses. Because your horses are definitely, like. They're all, like, on edge and they'd be like, snorting. But yeah, when it comes out. Yeah, you. You'd see that they have, like, lots of, like, bone, like scales, especially, like on their head and chest. Very armory. They're very spiky. And like, their tail does have a lot like. I mean, like a lot like this picture they do have. They have like, that reptilian look, but they don't a move like one very much move like a mad million, like apex predator. Speaker C: Do they have eyes? It's hard to see if there's eyes on the. Speaker B: They would have image like, near like the top of their head. They have binocular vision. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker B: Up there. Oh, actually, Holy ghost. They have four eyes, so they have like, the tube for the binocular vision. But then they also have a set on their side of their head so they can see almost behind them, like a horse. Speaker A: So is the majority of their skin bone? Like. No, it's. Speaker B: It's got there. It's leathery, but it is, like, hairless or has very like. Yeah, say it's the hairless. Speaker C: So it's like an elephant or. I know. Speaker B: Yeah, kind of deal. But with like, extra, like, bulb plates and like, areas that would be good for fighting or charging or. I think you're. You'd also. Doc, I guess while you're, like, examining him and like, picking lead out of its face, you would probably start to get the sense of this probably not a natural creature. Speaker A: Okay. It's like a weird. Speaker B: No. Yeah, like a weird creature, but also like. Speaker A: It'S been manufactured. Speaker B: No, not manufactured, but like. Yeah, like an actual. Speaker C: Got mutated by the weird. Speaker B: Mutated or enhanced, like, deliberately. Okay. Speaker A: Yeah. I would definitely just mean to clean the room if I think it would be applicable and try the sal to it. Try to as much as possible. If that area is like bone, like. Speaker B: No, that like the. Like, if there's like, flesh and stuff that got blasted off. But you can tell that it's already, like, kind of like starting to heal. But you can see like, the lead. Like the lead pellets are. Yeah. Buckshot, whatever. Jacques shot out of this shot. Speaker A: Yeah, I would say the healing sound would be like. I'd say the healing style would be slightly numbing. I feel like this is gonna like take away some of the pain because I gotta like take some stuff out of your face. So I all applied my last sound to that and then clean it up as best I can. Topically covered. Speaker C: As he's working on. Speaker B: Can I try and communicate you adhere from Lapu that. Thank you. Speaker C: I. I pass on the danks looking. Speaker A: As far as no problem. I'm doing my best. Speaker C: I know you are. Speaker A: I look at his four eyes. Speaker D: Because. Speaker A: I'm assuming you all can have the conversation. They can understand us, but we can't understand. I can't understand them. Speaker C: If anything, I'm probably trying to pick out identifying features other than. Speaker B: You would probably see like different colorings. Speaker C: Okay. Like a model pattern. Speaker B: Yeah. Is it colorings or like different like bone or like spike arrangements like on their faces that are unique. So does what's Jock thinking of going with Tahoma? Speaker C: If you ask question, you don't have to, but knots would probably be a lot better if you did. Speaker B: All right. Go. Speaker D: Kick my horse. That's what I be done. Speaker A: I'm doing it. Speaker B: Yep. So probably like 20ft down the road you see another teller pop up and he just like stares at you. Speaker D: Stare back at it. That one gonna need like ready to. Speaker B: I said Audrey, you just hear locked. We go. Yes. Speaker D: Find those horse. Speaker C: I pass on the information. Speaker B: Well, let's do like Jocko says. He says like, let's go. Tahoma just turns and starts trotting down the road. Speaker D: See what he can do. Speaker B: He just keeps like a trotting like pace. That's like a little bit like you would have to like lope on your horse to keep up. So I guess second gear on your horse it pretty much is. It's weird like. Speaker D: Well, I guess. Speaker B: I guess it's third year because walking is first and then trotting second and then loping is the weird kind of like third gear and then gallop. Fourth gear. Yeah. That's basically how they train. Or that's like horses natural gates. There's like those four. Speaker A: Saddle horn actually is a little shifter. You can tell where you put it. Speaker C: Where we do it. I've seen that built to the side of this. But for new model horses, it's a push button. Speaker B: Thanks. Yo. Speaker C: I wasn't sure if I was going to get dropped in the spring or something. It's like we'll see if he heals from the the waters. If you're Gonna end up back at that shed where you took the eggs. Whatever was in there's like, oh my. You. You've been beat up bad. Speaker D: Yep. Went pretty fine end up I got that egg. Speaker C: Especially if you ran face to face. It's like it's not familiar. Speaker A: Wait a minute. Did you take. Speaker D: The bowl eggs we left in the bowl? Speaker B: Yeah. I was saying you probably like. Probably takes you about an hour before the home of this stops and like goes like to the edge and lays like, lays down like he's almost like he's hiding. Speaker A: Which direction he's. Speaker B: He's still pointing like down the road. And then as he like go go past him, you see what looks like a horse on like the side of the road. His eagle gr. Speaker C: Not his special ability. Those like guard. So as soon as you got close, he probably perk right up. Speaker D: Yeah. I'd get off my horseman rope walk over there and see if it's not or if it's just a horse. Speaker A: Free horse food. Speaker D: Come back with me. I found some rig. Speaker A: Oh, oh. That was knocks off Good news and bad news. Speaker B: Yeah. As you get up closer it like. As you get like individually you can tell like it was watching you kind of like walk in. Just walks up to the saddle. Speaker D: Still on it and everything. Speaker B: Yep. The ranger still. Speaker D: Would your horse let a random rider get on? Speaker A: I don't know. Speaker C: Nobody's tried. Speaker D: That's probably what I do since I know those things are around. Speaker C: I mean it's more overt guard than. I don't know any reason why it wouldn't especially because they'd be familiar with you and your horse. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: And I understand your logic of. Speaker D: Yeah, I'd probably get uno and then tie a rope to the horn of my horse. Speaker C: No, because you know what chuckles is going to do? Speaker D: I need to spend all night chasing. I would probably say you can go back to camp now. Be alone. Speaker B: So you see Tahoma go into the bushes, but you probably. You get like the sense that it's just following you like behind me. Speaker C: Two tongue guard dog. Speaker B: So. Yeah, so. So Jacques is gone probably. Speaker D: I would probably need his walk back too. After writing all day and writing hard back like right, he's loping out there. Speaker B: And yeah, so Jock's probably gone for like three to four hours. Speaker A: Well, I'd be talking to you being like, well I'm picking shrapnel out of this beast's face that earlier had tried to eat me. I'd be like, so you care to explain what's going on here? How you're talking to the. Our friends here. Speaker C: Well, the weird works in mysterious ways. You have access to a library. Turns out I'm an animal whisperer. Speaker A: Well, that. That. Given the situation, that was incredibly fortunate. So I'm curious. Or. And these guys going to follow us around now, do we have a. We have a pack and a. Speaker B: So when he asked, are these guys going to follow around, you hear Lupo go death. No, boss. Speaker C: Yeah, we got ourselves a posse. Speaker A: I look in the four eyes of the guy I'm working on, like, welcome to the group. I guess that's a Professor Hawkeye. Speaker B: I forgot to say. Yeah, what's that? Speaker C: That's Jahaka. Speaker B: Here. You hear Lupo go chog. Speaker C: Okay, Chogen. Speaker A: I'm working on. Speaker B: Sorry. Speaker A: Look at Chogan in the eyes. Be like, how's that feeling? Speaker B: Just. Speaker A: Just nod if it's feeling better. Do this to him. Speaker B: You hear? Like, I guess the sound that could be taken is like, not quite like a purr, but something like a peaceful. Yeah. Speaker C: It's not a growl. Speaker B: A content. Like, maybe more like a sigh coming across as, like, a contented sigh. Speaker A: I tell them, like, well, once the pain relief resolves in me, smart a little bit. But you may have a pretty mark on your face, but it looks like you're a fast healer. Probably look up a little bit. Speaker C: It's like shelter. I don't know if they have a concept of that. I mean, they're heavily armored. They probably don't need shelter. Always left. Speaker B: When you say, like, shelter, you just go. You want. Like you want. Speaker C: Is there a place close? Because for Audrey, shelter is a place you go to, not something that's brought to you. Speaker B: He would ask me, like, just be like. He just go, like, what kind? Speaker D: The first bed and breakfast. Speaker C: The flitting images. At first, you would see a house in a. In his head. But it's like, no, we're. We're out in the open. So. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Like a. Trees, a cave. Speaker B: Yeah. It seems like the best thing you would. Or you probably. Actually, he would probably. He'd probably go like, no tent. Speaker C: Tend to work. But I visualize a good camping location. Speaker B: That he just goes this safe. Speaker C: And for this safe, like, where you're at is as good as you're going to get. Or this safe is around the corner of you. Speaker B: Yeah, he's just conveying, like, this is safe here. And like, what more do you mean? Oh, like. Like, okay, I guess like, it would get to, like, convey. Like, it's like you have better. Like you have Bedroom. Speaker C: Once again. It would be a pain laugh, but it would. Speaker B: There you go. Speaker A: Distance. Speaker B: Noisy and just like no tent. Speaker C: Maybe on my horse, if it didn't fall off, I have to wait and see. I mean, then there would be the thought of. I mean, once the horse gets back, we've got some rations, we've got some food, but do they need food? Do they need to go hunting or. Speaker B: He just goes, oh, I think it was kinder provider. Speaker C: That's the. The other. Speaker B: Yes. Speaker C: Who is Lama Kenta? Are there any others? And where did the pooh in this come from? Speaker B: He just goes like what meat? Speaker C: How far have you come from hunting? This is the first time I. I have seen you this far or in this area. Where were your previous hunting grounds? Speaker B: He goes, oh, Manuk said find you. Speaker C: But that sink in for a while. Speaker A: Oh. Speaker C: Why is looking for me? Speaker B: You should get like. Speaker C: That's above my pay grade. Speaker B: No, he did. Yeah, it's more like they don't have like that concept of like. Like he did it's. Or he just goes, yeah, he just doesn't like does it. He doesn't care. Doesn't know. Like it's not. Doesn't mean anything. But. Speaker C: Okay, then the follow up question be is do we need to go to. Speaker A: N. Speaker C: Now that you have found me. Speaker B: No. Nas and me and we agreed. Speaker C: Now that you found me, now what. Speaker B: You destined? Speaker A: Yeah. We got a pack. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: The stables are gonna hate us. That will be problematic. Speaker B: He just does human hate us. Speaker A: We don't go. Speaker C: But imagine the hell we can raise a nightmare. Hey, chicken house. And then I visualize the map and. And the locations. Like, have you been here before? If they have a concert, you hear. Speaker B: Like, he just goes, no hunt. Speaker C: So haven't been there before, haven't hunted there before. Or that's like a no go zone. Speaker A: No hunt. Speaker B: No go. He also you. He would get. He would get. He'd also say hurt. Speaker C: So there's something there that. Well, we're headed that direction, so come as far as you can and then we'll figure it out from there. I don't think we'll be going to too many other towns along the way. I remember right on the map there was no. Speaker B: There's no. Nightmoor is the only place that was a town that's nearby. Okay. Speaker C: I'd ask for an escort there and if they would handle scouting and hunting. Speaker B: If he goes. Speaker C: And now I will speak because Lau has a very good bite. Speaker B: And he goes, where's Tet? Where's. Speaker C: Just look up at the stars. Horses are back yet. I'm very tired. Speaker B: He just goes. I'll prove that he comes out of the bushes and just like stands over you. So assume you're like laying on the ground. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: I'm visualizing this being straddled by a massive 2 ton lizard acting as. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker C: Are they warm to the touch? Speaker B: Yeah, they, they're. They would be like. And you would have probably seen like sweat on them and stuff too. Like they're like a mammal like crossed with like a dinosaur reptile thing. And two now, now that they're like. You're like super close to them. And like I've been looking at up you two with like this doesn't. This is too like too much combo of things. Speaker C: What's the weather like? That's rain. Yeah, it's laying in the rain. I thank him for being a tent. It's like I'm fading fast, man. Don't worry, you're safe. Because by now it's probably what, close to eight. Speaker B: Yeah. I'd say you. You'd pass out. And then like an hour later Jacques shows up with knocks or I guess riding knots with shuffles in toe. Speaker A: And. Speaker D: Troll knots that see install. Speaker A: Yeah. The one I was working on should have. If my surgeon still applies. He should have all his Myers should be gone at whatever he had to drop below. Yeah. Speaker B: I'd say once you got like all the. As you were like picking the lead out of this space, you would have seen like. But like those. I guess that like those spots would have still been like oozing blood. But as you picked them up and stopped fairly quick for yesterday as you picked out the lead. So then like the tissue could like close up. Speaker A: I'm having trouble picking it out. I could just use the repelling mushroom. Speaker C: The magnetic condition. Speaker D: Yeah. No. I look at Audrey sleeping on him like. Huh. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: This is probably a new level of weird. Speaker A: Yeah. When you come back in like. Yeah, I got weirder. Speaker D: And see I asleep and Ryan just take care of the horses and. Speaker A: I. Speaker D: Have like a little room to thing that I just set up. Pass out. Speaker B: Yeah, you guys would. You guys all have likes. I mean you're just used to this weather. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: I saw your sleeping bag and all that stuff would be like waterproof. Go to bed. Speaker C: Soggy. Wake up soggy. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker A: I would actually try to get my glitch to come over, introduce him. Speaker B: You would like your horses. All of them would be like fairly nervous around it because these guys are straight predators. In the short little time they've Been around you would know that you like bringing your. Like trying to do anything with them isn't gonna work. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker D: I would have tied them off. Speaker B: You'd have to spend probably several days to a week just training. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Them to get used to. Speaker A: They don't feel like they're about to get taken down. Speaker B: Yeah. You have to do a lot of desensitization training. Speaker A: Horses I think don't run like prey. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: That thing you remember from movies about bears. Wild cats. Oh and dogs and occasionally cats. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker C: Quibble kid didn't know what he. Speaker B: So yeah. As morning rolls around, we're first of the people. But it's still raining because it's a rainy season. It's only 90% humidity. As you do as you guys like. I don't know. Would you guys have done watch either like either of you guys or you just. Speaker D: Those creatures are around. I would have sarcastically like don't eat the horses for me. Speaker C: Yep. Speaker D: And then as I sign up my little lean too. Speaker B: You would hear. You would. You would have heard probably from Lobo Lapu and Shogun. Almost like a sarcastic chuckle back. Speaker D: All right. Probably what it does sound like if you try to eat, you won't. Like what be fine. Speaker A: I could be like. I corroborate. Speaker C: I guarantee it. Speaker A: I just look at you and go, all right. Speaker C: I sleep under a two ton lizard. Speaker B: Yeah. I was gonna say. Yeah. Low actually obvious asleep already. But Shogun, like when you go to sleepy, if you don't. Do you have. Did you. Do you have a tent or anything? Speaker A: I would just do some kind of COVID with the brush and something. Speaker D: I would actually had like a tarp or some sort of cloth like. Speaker B: So I was gonna say if you guys want like I would assume you guys have simple like I would have like a simple stuff on your horses. Speaker A: That'd be more like, you know, a string between two trees. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Great big lizard head right there next to you. Speaker A: Yeah. If he comes up, I lean on him. Speaker B: Sure. Speaker A: This is my life now. Speaker D: Either not. Either wake up or not. Speaker A: At least if I'm leaning. If he's leaning. If I'm leaning on him, then at least I know if he moves to eat me, I'll be awake when it happens. Yeah. Speaker B: So when morning comes, you guys wake up and there's a deer next to Audrey. Another bowl of eggs with the same kind of bowl. A deer like creature. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: He's gonna be a big boss one of these days. Big bad. The egg master is here. He's pissed. Speaker D: Scramble you. Speaker C: I just hear Beetles in my head. This is the eggman and this is the wars. How do you get up? And it's like, wow, this is going to make a great breakfast. Did bozy hunt hunt this Kinta Kinta. Speaker B: Mosey stick. Speaker A: Mosy. Speaker C: And it's like, why doesn't Moses. And if I get image of a Molotov cocktail or something, I'll understand it. Speaker B: Yeah, you'd get something like that. Or just be like fire. Speaker C: Is Mosi wounded too? Speaker B: No, I said he would just say no. Speaker C: So I. I'd imagine I'm fairly mobile. Speaker B: Yeah. I say with. Speaker A: With because your. Speaker B: Your bites down to a moderate. Right? Speaker C: Well, I wasn't sure that. Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Speaker C: And it was worked on. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: I would have it dropped down because of not special touch. Yeah. Because of his skills. And like that's just part like this weird healing. Weird power healings. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker B: Yeah. So you'd be at moderate for that. Speaker C: Then I would prep the deer and get it cooking for breakfast. Speaker A: I mess it out because that's a lot. Speaker B: Word. Yeah. You would be like stiff and everything to it. Speaker A: Yeah. I probably would be getting after you be like, no, no, no, I'm not doing that again. Speaker C: I look at. My clothes are just kind of tattered and shreds like, well, this shirt's not going to do me any good anymore. Make a sling out of it. So breakfast. Introduce everybody to everybody. We have a posse net. I don't. I'm not sure if we're gonna have to worry about garden nights. Speaker B: When you say fell writers. You hear. You hear all. Like, I guess when he like woke up, you would have seen like. Like when you were interviewed, you'd actually see they were all like away from the horses. But like. But you would hear from all of them. Like, you would feel like this, like deadly, like angry. Like rumble. When you hear pell rider. When you mentioned pell riders, I'd be. Speaker A: Like, what did you say to them? Maybe don't say whatever that was again. Speaker C: I said that if we were to have that career change you mentioned before, you remember how we would be chased by you know who? Oh, they really don't want to deal with it. Speaker A: Well, that actually makes no sense. Speaker C: Or they might want to attack them on site. Speaker A: Well, that's going to be awkward. Speaker C: Yes. Especially on Jacques goes back to see Ramses. Or we go catching that boom. We'll have to worry about that when we get to. Speaker A: Nobody said life was simple. Speaker C: No, but I feel protected. I don't know why, but I feel extremely protected. Speaker A: I still want to Start more. You know who's. Speaker C: Oh, neither do I. Speaker B: You would like. You would hear that you. You all would have felt like heard the rumble but you would have heard from Leu that he. You would like just hate killing. And also you hear like and they kill us. Speaker C: It's a. It's a war between them. Speaker B: He would say they started. Speaker A: So question is do the pale writers. Are they generally going after weird creatures or just anything that's considered an apparition in general it's as a charge. Is it about the weird or is it. Speaker C: Depending on the writer. Speaker A: It's like what I'm thinking is if these are not technically weird creatures they. Speaker B: That the church would consider them weird because I guess you. You maybe I don't know if your characters would know the history but I've added a little bit more. But the veil appeared a thousand years ago before the contact with the Fae which I'm borrowing the Celtics word Anwin or the other world or whatever now. So that's what we'll start using in case we ever want to publish something and the fate happens to be trademarked or whatever. But I just like the word Anwin. Found it anyways. But yeah that connection on this planet and stuff and that's like a natural or it's just a normal thing everywhere the The Anwin connects like all. All things as like another world and it shadows the world. So like the stranger things and like the fate how you can go in and like look at watch history and stuff like you can. Speaker C: Or the Fae. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: I think in AD they call it the Feywild. Speaker B: Yeah but that's probably where it came from too. Is Celtics in there some of their crazy mythology. Yeah but yeah so that was Mithras showed up and put the. Put the veil around the planet or this place and cutting off all the old. I guess cutting off that connection to Anwin. And of course then the church rose up and started hunting you know the witches and other people that dabbled with it and went in like these creatures would have been art would be considered. Speaker C: I guess a babies of some kind or. Speaker B: Or an abomination against nature. What are from the church's perspective because they've been modified using a weirder slash demonic powers. Speaker C: Or it could just be a nano a natural animal from Anwin that made the crossing and yeah just different evolutionary. Speaker A: Well if it comes to it, you're going to have to make a pretty good argument or we're going to have to pick some sides and it's going to get really interesting. Speaker B: So if you're like. Yeah, if you're like. When you're talking about like, I guess Ramsey's and stuff, you would get the sense that there was some sort of. You would have. While your travels with her would have got. There was some sort of falling out between. Yeah. And then like, I. I actually need to make her like 10 years. So she's actually like in her like early to mid-50s. So she'd actually been retired from the hell writers for like five or ten years before the fall of Nightmore. Speaker A: To. Speaker B: Make some of the timeline. Speaker C: So she kind of retired in nightmare. Speaker B: Yeah, she had been retired there doing that. Speaker C: And then everything went to hell in a handbasket. Stuff. Started raising stuff. There goes my retirement fund. Now I'm stuck on a plantation. Speaker B: Yeah. And so. Yeah. So I needed to make her older for everything to like line up. So that's the fun part of playing to find out. I enjoy it. Speaker C: No, I. I'm raising that with my sister's kids too. Speaker B: But. Yeah, so these like. So like when the Vela showed up and the. And Mithras has started granting powers to the pal writers in the church, like grew up. They started or hitting like the witches and the tribal peoples because they, of course they all were like practitioners more of the Anwin and not this new religion that showed up. Because I know it like, because I've. I've been trying to figure out how to get like the Indian Native American into this, into our world with the Lord we establish with the weird stuff. So. So there are like tribal people two continents. Speaker C: You've got native tribes. You've probably also got something equivalent to gypsies. The church having come up, I could see a lot of the same mistakes or attempts. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: That were made to. Speaker B: So there are. So like all the. All the territories that don't have railroad. Those are tribal lands essentially. So they're there. There's usually some sort of conflict or hostilities between tribal lands and the civilized or the churched lands that have railroads to them. So that way. So we're able to bring in the Native American stuff and not. It's. So it's not just like the, I guess, persecution of weird people, but there is like the animosity between the tribal people and the more like churched city type. Speaker C: So you have the two. And then the weird just kind of floating the mess between. Speaker B: And the weird was here before Mithras and the church. So that's. The church, I guess has existed for close to a thousand years now. Roughly. Yeah. And then the witches finally witches, shamans, spiritual walk into their. Finally figured out how to tear the veil, let people restore the connection to. That's kind of where the world's at now. And that happened 10 years ago. As far as the restoration. So you're. So that's kind of like where your guys's weirds or powers are coming from. Like. Speaker C: From the chair. Speaker B: Yeah. So it. So like Doc is able to talk to SAS sticks and then you have a connection with the nuke now and then see what happens. See who Jack connects to. Speaker D: Almost Good. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: I was wondering if you're gonna curious. Speaker B: How you guys were going to react to the situation. Yeah. Speaker C: As the meals cooking as we're cooking that deer over the fire. So what's down self that can hurt a talent? Speaker D: Miracles. Speaker B: I hear ages of clowns. Speaker C: It's like then I know a spot. Speaker A: That we've got a fail. Speaker B: He. He would probably. You'd probably get a little grumble over giggles and probably get like they steal. Like they steal pumps. Speaker D: Okay. Speaker A: Huh. Speaker C: And then as far as what can. Speaker B: You would get this. Like you would see the like the visage of like the specter. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker B: Like that's what. Like that's what you would like because they wouldn't have. Oh like they would just show you like that image. Like you would see like spectre. The specters. And that's why they. And they also be like can't eat because they're in. You know, because the spec are incorporal. Speaker D: I'd ask which is Audrey's map update since you found new friends. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Well. Speaker C: And now that Knox is back, I can. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: I'd let you know your horse. Speaker C: Now I've been sleeping next to these lizards. I go close to kn. I'd imagine it's. Speaker B: Yeah. He'd be skittish like. Like when he's sniffing. Like you would see like they'd have. I don't know how much he'd been around the horses in real life, but they have like, he would probably kind of get. His eyes would be kind of like big and he'd be kind of like prancing a little bit as he got close. But at the same time he like knows that like you're his herd. So there's kind of like that calm. Speaker C: Down, make sure he's all right. Then I get the bag out of my. My saddle bags, the map out of the saddlebags, the bag out of the bags playing car. Speaker B: Yeah. Backpacks. Speaker C: Go over and take it closer so that we could spread it out and you can all see that. Speaker B: Yeah, you would see it. It's in the same place still. Speaker D: These guys aren't the treasure. Speaker C: No, but I look at you and say, do you still want to get rid of the clowns? Speaker D: You could Giggles. Speaker C: Well, the houses might be a bit. Speaker D: I think we need more firepower than these guys. That house was pretty big, right? Speaker B: It was big. It was big. But like, Doc would have sure relayed that. Like the holy water seemed to. Speaker A: I know how big it was. Speaker B: Yeah, the size, dude. Speaker D: Yeah. Oh, like normal house, basically. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: Walking around. Yeah, we would have saw it. Speaker B: Yeah, you would have saw the roof of it as you were booking it out of town. Speaker D: So that might be a later adventure once we get more. Speaker C: Yeah, I have. I would relay our experiences with. With Nightmare. Speaker D: Unless these guys have holy ones. Speaker B: Yeah. He would just get like the same like bad hunting or, or, or, or just like no hunt. Because they all. They like basically communicate like single syllable words. Speaker A: Be interesting to us. Give them like that silver plated claws. Have them go in. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker D: Maybe when we switch. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: Systems I'll have some crafting abilities. Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. And part of that is just relaying the information. There's Giggles has a base here. Speaker B: So even if you don't, you'd get like. There'd be like the communal growl response. Speaker C: From all of them of being able to watch it in the. If they ever came out to reduce. Speaker D: The numbers about Giggles place. Speaker C: Oh, she. Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Speaker B: She knew about that. Yeah. Because she. She was. She's growing up to let know that they. The night one may actually need to be like actually attacked a full on. Speaker D: They will get bird if they're gonna do that and be able to watch. Speaker C: From. From the top of the hill. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: From the bushes. Speaker A: And they. When they all growl when you're talking. Well, at least we can agree on that. Speaker B: And then like, if you like when you like when Doc brings up like the silver talons and then you like kind of picture that in your head, you hear lap go, yes. Speaker C: And that would be kind of interesting we hearing the. Speaker A: Yes. Speaker C: It's like so silver doesn't hurt. Speaker B: He goes. Speaker C: I mean, he goes like something from. Speaker B: He goes like iron and silver. He just goes like he just. Here I see. You would get the sense that it like it depends. Speaker C: Whether or not he's using it to cut into something or something. Choosing it to cut in. Speaker B: No, it. It's more of like silver and like what, like what form? Like the bullets were like mostly like hit bone, so they just like glanced off. It's More of a sense that it's nothing extra. There's nothing like, it'd be like. If you ask him about bullets, it's kind of like the same response. Speaker A: They're not weak disorder. Speaker B: Yeah. They. You would get no sense of, like, actual fear or any. It's just kind of like it is what it is, like, whatever. But you also get the sense that they usually are not concerned really about much. Speaker C: What are they concerned about? Speaker D: They stay away from that so far. Speaker B: Like, the only thing you'd get was like, hell, writers. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Like, essentially, like. Like magical or incorporeal. Like stuff that, like, attacks their. Speaker C: The psyche. Speaker B: Yeah. And they're like, stuff that actually hits like, that they're like life essence. Like, stuff that they can't. Like they don't really understand what it is. Speaker A: Like, they can't bite it. Speaker B: Yeah. That's basically what you get. That's why they say, like, no hunt at the ghosts because they just get hurt but can't do anything about it. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker B: They don't like guns, but they also, like, understand that unless it's like a cannon or a huge, like a very loud. A very loud gun that it's not going to do a whole lot to them or it's going to take a lot of, like, paper cuts to cut them down or shotgun. Speaker C: A close range in the mouth. Speaker D: Almost. Speaker A: Silver talons and maybe like, some silver additions to their tails. Speaker D: Holy water cannon on their back. Just out there going. Speaker B: Super soaker. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. I'm gonna say anything that, like, anything that's conveyed to them that, like, it makes them better at, like, killing things, especially things they haven't been able to kill before or makes them tougher. You just hear, like. Yes. And then you also. You may hear he also. He would. He would actually ask for all packs. Speaker C: Oh, to carry all the packs out the. Speaker B: No, like, for all. For all the, like, their other packs. Like, that's what you mean? Speaker A: Give them all silver challenges. Speaker C: That would actually be a good question. How many packs are there? Speaker B: You get the sense that it's like, legion. Like, we are legion. Speaker A: How much of a boss are you right now? Low. Speaker C: Commander. Speaker D: What was in that mine? Was it gold? Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Which mine? Speaker D: The mine you started at. Speaker A: Uh. Speaker C: Oh, they would probably. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: I'd visualize our clearing that out. Speaker D: We could clear that out. Speaker C: Our Centipede issues be like, snacks go. Speaker D: There's a big thing in the water and eggs. Speaker A: These are probably very agile water. Speaker B: You would hear. You would get, like. You would just hear, like, tasty, fun. Speaker A: Yeah, that'd be a pretty cool base. Speaker B: Well. Speaker D: And when the next system change might go have more of a direction. Speaker C: I. When you brought up about the mind, I share the information. This is. Speaker B: And then Talon or Lapa would just be like. He would just be like, need more pack. Need more packs. Speaker C: How do we get more packs? Speaker B: It is called Lapu ask. Speaker A: So if they get friends, are you still their boss of the others? Speaker B: You fear no destiny. Speaker C: Just of. Just of these here that are with us now. Speaker A: Are the other packs, like, does everybody get along? Or are there packs that fight the game? Speaker B: You would. You would probably get. Yeah, they would just basically just say, like, yes to everything. Speaker A: So they will all be friendly. But some are family. That's good. Speaker C: I'll get a variety. Speaker B: I said, yeah, you would probably get more of the sense that it's territory. But also if Nanooks. Nanook says you'd also get the sense that, like, if Nanook says do this thing, they do it. Or the nuke speaker. Speaker C: Who's the nuke speaker? Speaker B: You would get a name and he would just respond with Adler talk. Speaker C: Where would we find Adler talk? And it's a. It'd be like, best guess and. Or does Adler talk find us? Speaker B: You would just get. He would just say far south. Far south. Pull that. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker C: Information will be shared. Speaker A: It's like. Speaker C: We got ghosties. No hunt in the. If we follow the map. Speaker A: So you're. Speaker D: You're. Speaker B: You're in the map of. To just to remind you you guys were heading south. So you get a more direct route to where you're going. You don't have to go to Nightmore. You could go straight. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: To where you're skirting around it, I think. Speaker B: Yeah. You guys weren't going directly to Nightmore, but. Speaker C: Yeah, it was one of those things that if we want to go directly toward the map is because the map would adjust, which is a no hunt. Or if we want to do the mine first, we can do your coins. Track down Adler talk to see if we can get more talent to clear out the mine. Yeah, those are the two main. Clear out the mind. Speaker A: We're going to need miners. Speaker C: Talon might be able to. To clot out the. Speaker D: I don't think they want to be miners. Speaker B: Yeah, you guys are tired. You are very strong. Speaker D: Your claws stand up to rocks very well. Speaker C: No, but I think they'd have a heyday going in there with the bugs. Speaker D: Yep. Yes, her bug fans are good. But for miners, I have a lot. Speaker A: Of eggs in there too. And one really big one in the Water. You guys swim well. Speaker B: No. Speaker A: You don't swim well. Speaker D: Maybe good. Speaker B: He says no, he just like looks at you and like almost like flexes and you would. And you're not like your knowledge would know that. Too much of the denseness would. They're like. They're like gorillas in art, in real life that they can't. They just sink because they're too tense. Speaker A: Gotcha. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: That's a water oak. Speaker A: So there's a big one in the water in there. We'll figure that out. We can avoid him. Speaker D: You get dynamite maybe or Taylor's Delight. Speaker A: Yeah. Probably make some underwater fuses and stuff. Speaker B: Lapu looks directly at you. Jackkins says and Audrey, you hear he killed. Speaker D: I have to kill it. Speaker A: No. Speaker B: And just when you're before you like you. Speaker A: When you. Speaker B: When you're like talking about the big one, he just looks at you before you even say anything about dynamite or anything. He just says. He says he kill. Speaker D: Works for me. Speaker A: Then we can work the big one out. You know, you all are built for all the little ones. Not to mention. Speaker B: And I guess Audrey would. With that communication, you would get the sense that they sense other things then. Speaker C: I don't know what weird you got, but whatever it is, it's strong enough. That sounds like you can handle it. Speaker D: Should be able to. Speaker A: They have to go here. Speaker D: We don't mind. I think we do your map for now. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Okay. Communicate that to the poo. Tahoma. Speaker B: Tahoma. Yeah. Speaker C: I see a To. It's a Tacoma. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Chen, Kenta and Mosley. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: And Mosi stinks right now. Speaker B: Face got burnt and yeah. You would have seen like there's like just like black like on their chest from. Where is it? Walt like impacted. Speaker A: I would do some work on that just to. Speaker B: You'D get like that contented like sire friendly like rumble as you like. Wipe off the. And Lapu and just go. What you think? Stinkless. Speaker C: What do they generally smell like, Jack B. Speaker B: They don't. They just. That wouldn't actually bother them. It's more you get the. Them complaining about the stink because then they can't hide. You don't really. You would probably get maybe like a little like watch. You probably wouldn't hardly smell anything because it's rainy. But they don't seem to give off like much odor to begin like you get the sense that they're like made for what they do. Like they started that way. But then whatever's transpired about them has just been. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker C: Two tunnel wolves. Armor plated and highly intelligent. Yeah. Speaker B: Yeah. So like we should concession here. Speaker D: You didn't die. Speaker B: No. Speaker A: I thought I might. Speaker D: I know. Speaker C: I. I was waiting to see what sort of DM tricks were. Speaker B: I wasn't sure if you were going to live or not. Either is a lot of it depending on what these two did. Speaker C: Oh totally. Speaker D: Not the path. Speaker C: So I was like what would follow that? Speaker A: Are you circling back? Speaker D: So let's go. Speaker C: Don't shoot me. I left it. Speaker B: That's. That was that was concerned on the table especially the first on that jock lit rip. Speaker D: But that would have been a 6. Speaker B: Minus it probably would have shot put him in really bad shape. Speaker C: I figured that's why after running around it's like what's her to shake his hand And I really figured that it was going to be a mercy killer. Speaker B: Did we learn something new and important about this world? Yeah. We got the. Yeah a lot. Did we overcome a notable monster or enemy? Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Turned him into an ally. Speaker B: W treasure. Speaker D: Yeah. Besides friends they don't really loot but they are memorable. Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: So that one could go either way. Speaker B: I would say. Speaker A: I would. Speaker B: Well they could be considered I guess his lap who willingness could be a treasure. I would consider that a treasure. You can always level up. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: I think I'm about to get up. Speaker B: One of your stats. Well let's see. Reword the low lights, highlights. Questions. I would know those. Are you guys like those? Speaker D: I think they're good to have just in case something didn't. Yeah. Feel right or go right that someone thought. Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Because that's generally the intention of the low lights and highlights is I like these parts. I didn't like those parts. And maybe that's what I should really just like like dislikes. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: This was a world building session. Speaker B: Let's see any new long term goals. Speaker D: Next year once we switch to the new system. Speaker C: Gather the clans. Speaker B: Oh yeah. That's. Yeah that's. That's the end of stuff, buddy. I don't. Let me see what you guys are crafting weapons. Speaker C: I need to go through that book. Speaker B: Let's see what do I have for. Speaker A: You guys right now. Speaker B: So right now I just have for I guess essentially goals or long term stuff. I got doc looking for his sister and then Jacques is basically and Audrey with his map. And then Audrey is like figuring out what's going on with this map. Anything else. Speaker D: The mind would be something. When we switch systems I have to read the system. Speaker B: Well I mean this like don't even like the system is irrelevant to this. Yeah. It's just. Is this like what your guys are gonna like? Stuff that you guys want to clear. Speaker D: Out that mind would definitely would be something Jock would want to do. Speaker C: Defend his ability to hide from his. Speaker D: Previous employers and maybe find medals to craft better weapons. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: They need something. Yeah. Speaker B: And that's another thing too that like I'm get more weird into our weird west and make it more weird as far as like people like when you run into people that are other weird powered people that they'll be like equivalent to stuff that you guys can do. And. And also just like more weird creatures. Speaker A: More. Speaker B: More of this, I guess more supernatural stuff. And then probably have some crazy invention people once you get into like the cities and stuff, just bring more of that weird west into it. Speaker D: No. Jaques will probably want to set up a place somewhere where they can actually craft or build. But since we haven't been anywhere big cities like don't know where that would be yet. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: And I could easily see setting up. Speaker D: A forge in that room that may be that main. That mine just may become where we hang out. Build it up. Speaker C: Well, it's got a water source, so as far as a water wheel. Speaker D: And then if it's gold, there may be other minerals in that too. Speaker C: Not to mention the load mushrooms. That's true. Speaker B: Yeah. Oh yeah. And you probably know a blacksmith when I come work. Speaker A: Okay. It's true. Speaker C: I want to introduce you to my friend before I do that. You can't kill him. Speaker B: Frank. Speaker A: Don't you. Speaker C: And that would be for both of them. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: I got somebody I want you to. Speaker D: Don't smite me. Speaker B: You would get the sense that Ramsey was like. She did have some sort of falling like that maybe that would have been communicated that they had a. That she did have like some sort. Speaker D: I could see some of that conversation while we're just writing. Speaker B: Well, you would know that she's not a super big fan of the pel writers as they are now. And maybe as with the veil tearing, they've gone more extreme. Let's like type like. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: First reactions. Speaker A: I mean. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: First reaction of oh crap. Kill it. Speaker B: Oh yeah. Speaker C: I can see her also being there without being. Before we do this. Speaker B: And that would probably be something too that especially Doc would have picked up. Like looking at these things that they are designed to like trigger that like fight or flight response in humans. Like so you have like that initial like your survival instinct is like a predator. Speaker A: That's. Speaker B: Yep. You know that that thing is like you're equal or better. Yeah. And then. Okay, yeah. Speaker D: Get mugged in the bushes. Speaker A: I was like, we're about Party wipe. Let's go. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: Next session. Speaker C: So the 21st. Speaker B: Yes. And then we'll be. Yeah, then it will be. Speaker D: See if we can get to the map piece. Speaker A: Japan. Speaker B: I mean, that will really depend on you guys, because they won't spend an. Speaker D: Hour talking out sources. Speaker B: Oh, no, it's not that satisfying. No. Speaker D: Yes. Speaker B: Yeah. No, I totally expected that. No, it's more of. It's more of, I guess if you guys just want to beeline it because, like, nothing really. Unless you, like, run into, like, ghosts or specters or something. Like, nothing. There's low probability of anything actually, like, harassing you with one thing. Oh, you would. You would get. Lapu would have referred to, like, his pack as Swift Crest. No. Yeah, you guys, like, so, like, if we want to, like, so next session, if we want to start. Like, if you guys want to, like, just fast forward the trial. Speaker D: I think we would, because if we had this pack, we probably ride pretty fast with them. Speaker B: Well, now, I think. No, as you guys as a player. So you just want to, like, fast forward and get there and, like, skip any chance at, like, discoverings or any. Speaker C: Things or, you know, buried cans of corn. Speaker B: If you want to skip that. If you want to skip that stuff, we can. And you guys will just be where you need to be. Speaker D: A dice cup or something like this. Speaker B: Yeah, you do have a dice cup. You did. Speaker D: I. I bet you I wrote it in my note. They're on a different page. Speaker B: Yeah, no, I know. Speaker D: You have that magic. Speaker A: I forgot. Speaker C: Well, we had kind of pressing matters. Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. So I guess next week when we meet, if you guys want to fast forward and get down there, we can. Or we'll just do the travel rules. Speaker D: Up to you guys. I'm fun to be here. Speaker C: Oh, same. Speaker B: So, all right. I'll plan to start you guys with a pack. Speaker D: I don't know how much they had wanted to be like, oh, we're gonna go explore. Speaker B: And they're like, what? Speaker C: Well, it'd be as we're going through. Speaker D: That's true. They can scout. Speaker C: The scout is like, we found something interesting. This smells weird. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: There's a bowl of Apex. The guy making up random words. Speaker B: Yeah, he could always visit that if you want to. I will. Speaker D: If we ever pass by. Speaker B: All right. You will. Next set. Like, you. Speaker D: Maybe on our way back, you would. Speaker B: Review it, pass by it to, like, this day of traveling, bring one of. Speaker D: The wolves and really scare him. Speaker C: Sorry about the Wings of coins in the balls. Speaker D: Take the eggs and have it tap on the window at night. Speaker A: Just one clock. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker B: All right. Start next session with. How are you guys? Speaker D: What is fast travel? Speaker B: I think. I don't know. Speaker A: Yeah, I think so. This time. Yeah, I like having the option. Speaker C: I think the bandits are going to attack. No, I think they're going to get sluggish. Speaker B: You find a bandit corpse at your camp. Speaker A: In the morning, there's a dead deer. Speaker D: And a dead bandit. Meet one of the guys from last week. I remember that guy's name. Speaker C: We brought you breakfast. Speaker D: Dunderhead. I think Dunderhead survived, actually. Speaker B: Yeah, I wrote down all their nick names. Thunderhead survived. Speaker D: I don't remember who had the sledgehammer and missed the jump at the start. Speaker B: That was probably wise. Crap. Speaker A: I just thought that was funny. That first I was like, oh, and he's gone. Speaker D: Oh, then. Yeah, then someone went down in the train cart and I was like, we're going to die. Just falling over. Speaker A: Like in that one of the newer Star Treks when they dive into the planet and the red shirt guy waits and he's like. He's like, olsen is gone. Speaker D: Kind of. Speaker A: What happened to that? Speaker B: Yeah, the red shirt. Speaker D: That guy missed and died. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: What happened? Speaker C: Well, he's standing right here next to me, but there's rock here. Speaker D: So, like, his inventory was like a wrench, a sledgehammer, and a double barrel shot. I was like, yeah, you're not jumping so much weight. Speaker A: Yeah, it makes it about halfway. Speaker C: Yeah, we hit colorful characters, to say the least. Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Speaker A: The creation process was interesting. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: The gambler was doing good until he missed a jump and went under the car. Speaker D: That guy died for sure. Speaker B: Yep. No, we do it next time we do something like that. We'll have numbers, but if somebody dies, we'll make sure we say their name. Speaker A: You know, I thought the. The rolling. I laughed because it was the arson guy that got them like, minus three on his first stat. And I was like, apparently he's not a very good arson. Speaker C: But he survived. Yeah, I. I had. What was his name? Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: It was a motley crew. I had cinder and then I had a. An ex cop who. Speaker D: We had like 3x cops, got in. Speaker C: Trouble for not sharing bribes and had arrested the sheriff. Speaker B: No, I'm p. Speaker D: Yeah, we had like 3x steps in.
