====== Session 24.2025.05.17 ====== {{ :savacola:campaign_one:session.24.2025.05.17.mp3 | Recording}} ===== AI Transcribed Audio ===== Speaker A: That sign for a door to go. Speaker B: Along with the no solicity. Speaker C: There you go. Speaker A: No. Do you pay respect? Speaker B: The window people and the bug people. Speaker A: Man, I always like, just knocking. Yeah. They come around, and then the window. Speaker B: People are like, I don't have money for that. They're like, oh, we just want to come in, do a free estimate. And it's like, no, I don't have money for that. Go away, bro. Speaker A: Yeah. That guy was annoying. Actually started to get annoyed. But I usually. Since I'm in the basement, like, I come out and it's. My room is lit like this. Both of them. I come out and open the door. So I'm just, like, scowling because it's bright. And I just stand there and sit there for like, a couple of seconds. Yes. Speaker C: Through the door with a pistol mounted on your hip. You know. Speaker A: I've thought about doing that. Maybe I'll do that now with the no soliciting. I'll just get my preacher shotgun and stuff. Speaker B: In your underwear and be like, bro, I'm sleeping. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: Turned around and said, $10. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker E: What are you talking about? Speaker D: The estimate you want to give me. If you can match $10, I'm in. Speaker A: If not, I've been tempted, too, because, like, there's, like, three houses in this neighborhood, like, floor plan wise. I'm like, bro, just come with an estimate. You should know. Yeah. How much stuff is around here. It's like, I should just start doing that. How much, bro? Speaker C: We put up a no soliciting sign on ours, and nobody's not sensitive. Speaker A: Yeah. Or you didn't. Yeah, I didn't need to order one. Speaker C: But it won't protect you from the million calls or text messages like, dude, you want to sell your house? Speaker A: Oh, I don't. They don't get. But I don't. We get my number with. That's ridiculous. Do you have a landline still? No. No. Speaker C: I don't know how they got my number. Speaker A: Interesting. Speaker C: Well, I also actually, I do know how I got my number because I use it for so much business stuff. Speaker A: Oh. Speaker C: My personal number that I just buy a million things. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: They know how old I am, whether or not I've, you know, had cancer or prostate. Check or colonoscopy. They probably have all that data. Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Speaker A: 100% that gets sold somewhere. Speaker C: They know what kind of cheese I like. Yeah. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: If you're getting all the calls anyway. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: And your floor plan is pretty much the same as this one. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: If they show up, just send them the calls. Speaker B: Go to that guy's house. Speaker C: Yeah, he really wants it. Speaker A: Wait. Speaker C: Then I'll show off my tiny whities with a pistol to my hip. Jacob sent you, didn't he? Speaker A: I told him. Speaker C: I said one more person, I was. Speaker E: Going to shoot him dead on my porch. Speaker C: You got 10 seconds to get out of here. Speaker A: I think the only person I ever told to go talk to you was the fiber, the TDS fiber guy. Because I knew you'd be interested. Yeah, actually interested. Speaker C: We were waiting for them to come by. Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. They want knocked on. It's like fiber is like when and how much. I asked the little lady or whoever. Speaker C: That was the easiest walk about for. Speaker A: Me, like, yes, please. Speaker C: That was the strangest fiber install process I've ever seen done. I've done fiber install processes with teams. Like, it was ridiculous. It's like five or six different stages with every team is different people. Speaker A: Yeah, it was all contracted out because, like, but at first they, like. Well, of course they came and, like, marked everything. And then when they're, like, running, I don't think. I think they had trenches. I'm trying to remember if they. Speaker C: It was a separate digger. Speaker A: I'm trying to remember if they trenched before they ran connections to homes or if they did that. Like, I think they did a boar across the street because they did. Yeah, I think they trenched and then, like, up to like, the boxes. And then from the boxes to home, they're just running lines. So I had like a fiber line just laying out in the bushes for like six months or something. Speaker C: And then somebody else came and dug it up. Speaker A: Yeah, there's some, like, some dudes to come and knock on my door. And here we're going to bury your fiber optic. And it's like, okay, it's over there. And like, some other guy came and actually did, like, to hook up at some point. But it was interesting. Not surprising because we had. We had to like, open trenches for like, a couple months. Speaker C: Yeah, it was a long time. Speaker A: They were like the kind like you'd step in and break your leg if you weren't paying attention tonight. Speaker C: Because you have to bury the certain amount of pp. Speaker A: Yeah, that was interesting. Speaker C: I think they were waiting to, like, we have to get enough trenches to make it where the team should come. Speaker A: In and fill all the drinks. That's pretty much like, I think what, like, happened. It was. I didn't like, did that. And then like, in a day or two, it's like there's this dude to shovel and dirt back into the Trenches. Speaker D: Put your dog. Speaker E: I don't know. Speaker D: They told me to go over here and just fill trenches. Speaker C: They're just going down every street, every house, just digging a trench. They're not even sure if cable's supposed to be there. It's just pl a hole while you're out there. Might as well dig it. That's right. Speaker A: And the crew can fill it. Speaker D: Supporting the economy. Speaker A: Yeah, dig a hole, fill it in. Speaker C: Do that again after service work. Speaker A: No complaints from that. And then since we have another, since we have Ziply out here, too, it's just fun. Every, like, every year, when my price, like, when they change my price, it's like, I need to lower that back down by like 10 or 20. Otherwise I'm just going to go over to here because they'll give me, like a gig for like 20 bucks cheaper than what I'm paying for you. Speaker B: And they're like, okay, we can fix that. Speaker A: I always love it, too. Even if there's not a promotion, like my last one, they're like, oh, you were like an original person or something. So we'll just put reapply, like the 20 discount you have back then. And it's like, well, why don't you just keep it on? Speaker C: When I called them, called Time Warner to disconnect, they were just like, what can you do to keep you as a customer? Like, what's making you stop? I'm like, I'm getting new Internet service. And they said gds. And I'm like, yeah, it's kind of pause. Because tons of people were disconnecting. And they're like, so there's anything we can do to keep you as a customer? And I'm like, like, what? The speed is slower. Costs, like half again as much, if not more. And they're like, well, it's been a pleasure having you as a customer. Speaker E: I have no response. Speaker C: It's pretty much nothing. Speaker A: Yeah, Spectrum's been around here, I think, probably two or three times since I've swapped just door knocking. And I was like, can you upgrade your. It's like, I had no complaints. Loved the service. And they're like, what can we get. What can we do to get you back? Have you increased your upload speed yet? They're like, no, I work from home and I need that. And they're like, all right, have a good day. Speaker C: Pretty much. Speaker D: Spectrum always drove me crazy because of the incremental creepy. So it's like, okay, I got it. You're locked in that price. And after two years, it gets to the point where it's like doubled or tripled and you go, it's like, look, I'm only using the Internet on this deal. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: And they'd usually give you the starter package again. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker D: And then they stopped doing even that and it's. Speaker A: Yep. Yeah. That's like my parents, I always tell us like, just call them because they're out of their. Their fights is like feel expensive. But I just call them and say like, I can't pay for this anymore. I need a lower deal. And they'll always cut you a deal because keeping up paying customers better than no customer. Speaker B: They have tv. You don't have to sign up for streaming services. You get better choices on streaming services. Yeah, freaking cable. Speaker D: Are you paying for the Internet? Use it for something. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Then we could stop downloading andor other shows and. Speaker A: Or I'd still make a copy of that just so we have. Speaker B: It's already a copy on. Speaker A: So it's. Disney decides to do something. Speaker C: I finished that. Speaker A: We're on finished episode four. Yeah. Speaker D: Did they second season. Speaker B: Yeah, it's all in plex. Speaker D: Okay. Speaker C: I watched the full out of it. Speaker B: And Rogue One's on there now too. So you can watch the whole series and watch Rogue One. Speaker D: I watched Mickey today. Speaker B: Interesting movie, isn't it? Speaker C: I watched Mickey. It was. I enjoyed it, actually. Speaker B: It was an interesting movie. Speaker C: There was some of it I enjoyed last, but Thomas was home. Speaker A: All right, so this feels like forever to go. Speaker C: Playing Dragon Age. Is that what this is? Speaker A: No. Yeah. So last time you guys were still in the library recuperating, went through. Started in the steam vents, I guess, then went to calculation engine where Jacques found the passage connecting back to 271. Speaker D: Doubt finding that passage. Speaker C: Yes. Speaker A: Yep. So then you guys went back up there and then Audrey found the spiral staircase behind the bookshelf that went all the way back to the very start. Yeah, Audrey fought curious books, uses weird triggered mutation. That's right. You got short range vision. 15ft. Speaker C: Is that permanent? Speaker A: Yes. Speaker D: Well, it was caused by the onwind, so it might be cured by the. Speaker A: Oh, as far as we know, it's. Speaker D: Just getting magic glasses. Speaker A: Y found seven dusters of poison. You guys killed five black warrior librarians. Speaker D: Was it self defense? Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Yeah. I wanted some bands and books. Speaker A: Yeah. Then you guys were at the start. But then he went to the tea room for scones. Went to a tea room for scones. Jam and cream and cocktails. Jam and cream and cocktails. Well, that's right, everyone. I don't think anyone's used this yet. But everyone has a book of prophecy. Already found a book of prophecy. So everyone has a six they can replace any guy with once. Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Speaker A: So everyone has a six they can throw into a roll at simple or replacement. And you get with the storage vault. Jock scared away three ogre spiders. And he found Night Sight, an enchanted hooded robe that lets the wearer see in the dark. I don't know if you guys know that, but you knew it. Now. Then you just found the enchanted robe. Then you got a spell scroll. The rifter ruin. There's essentially a third magnitude spell in everyone's system, so it's ridiculous. Then Jack took some of the hooded robes from the librarian's warrior. And then you went to a boiler room and found a note that said, beware of the banner staff match, my friends. Just give it what it wants or kill it like any other fairy. Then Doc found detailed notes left by a prior researcher. Then he found an ominous locked door, and you guys just left it alone. Then you guys went back into the map gallery and the bookshelf rearranged that. You lost your route back to.02. Then he stepped out of the library, greeted by Mo, who speaks like a pirate. That librarian. Then he met with anton, Mo and Arthur, 8 and Drake, and shared stories of the excursion. Wally asked a lot of questions about this world. Sakura. Arthur played the glass violin, which sounded beautiful and ethereal. You guys want to sleep? Let's see. So, yes, Cash. You awaken your bed completely naked and can see from the bed a simple chair chest and a single yellowish slighted crystal attached to the wall lighting the roof. And a simple wood door. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker C: Rub my eyes. Speaker A: Start looking around. Yeah. It's a very, like, stone. Like, nice, clean, like stone. Grayish. Yeah. Then there's just a chair. A simple wood chair and a chest. And like, one side of the room and then the door. Find all your belongings neatly ordered. Speaker E: Who put this in there? All right, start getting changed, getting geared up. Speaker C: Still here. I'm getting dressed. Montage. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: Is there music? Speaker C: If he wants. Speaker A: It's this music. Speaker D: It's relaxing. Speaker E: All right. Well, this is weird. I don't remember falling asleep here or getting naked or anything. Putting my stuff away, and I'll. Speaker C: There's a door. Speaker A: Nope. Speaker C: First the door. Speaker A: Yep. Speaker B: Just like a simple wooden door with a. Speaker A: Like a brass doorknob. Speaker D: Try the handle. Speaker C: See if I can open it. Speaker A: It opens up into a. A larger room that smells of home. What does home smell like for cash? Speaker C: Oh, it smells like land blown, probably. Speaker E: With A whiff of eldritch. Speaker C: Tantalizing. Speaker A: Oh yeah. And in this room you see like two large like 15 foot tall gold statues of like a forearmed like gorilla with like a cat head with no ears, with like four large eyes and like saber tooth top fangs. And it's in this and that creature sitting on like an ornate chair on each flank, on each side or burning braziers give off a nice warm glow. Your left and right are well trimmed green tree about 10 foot tall and they have like a lemon sized fruit on it that's like shimmering, kind of like a pearl lesson. And then in the center of the wall between the statues and Frasers is a pair of metal and wood doors. Like two. Okay. Speaker C: Are those the only doors in the room besides the one I just came through? Speaker A: Yep. And I guess like behind you you see like four more doors and you like came out of one of the other four. Speaker C: Are there books in here? Speaker A: Would. I think I'm still in the library or. Speaker C: It doesn't fit that vibe. Speaker A: It doesn't have the library feel. You actually feel like extremely like safe and at like home. You're fully healed. So if you had any like damage or anything, you're fully healed up and you feel like extremely well. Probably the best, most rested you've ever felt in your life. Yeah. Great. Speaker E: All right, I'll go pick a. Speaker A: Or I'll go examine that fruit. Get some breakfast. Yeah, you got, you can go. You grab and just. Yeah. It has like a lemon texture. Like, like lemon peel texture. Speaker E: I try to peel it a little bit, sniff it, get a little taste of lick. Speaker A: It's good. Speaker C: I eat. Speaker A: Smells very good. And when you. And like so. Yeah, so it's like a lemon and it's like, I guess it's got swirling patterns of yellow, green and orange on. Yep. And you bite into it to like chew your first like bite and like all of a sudden like you see almost like infinite variations of yourself in the situation. Like going like, almost kind of like, like 30 seconds into the future and into the past. Sounds disorienting. Speaker E: Save the rest of that for later. Speaker C: Put it in my pocket. Speaker E: Then I'll head up and try the big doors. Speaker A: Yep. They glide open without a sound. And as you enter into this area like right on the inside are two razors that are burning like cedar and like, I don't know away from you, like they're gently flowing, I guess that divides this room in half. It's like a four foot wide brook or creek. Yeah. And it has like a Shimmering, like, look to it and you know, and you almost swear you can see like your entire, like, life in a multitude of variations within the stream. Flowing through this stream. Speaker C: I absolutely take another bite of the fruit. Speaker A: Do you or. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker A: Wow. Yeah. Again, you get like the time, like, I guess it doesn't. You just see like almost infinite variations of all your choices that you could do or did do some good, some bad. Basically all the possibilities that could happen in this particular moment. Yeah. As you, like, as you're eating that and you see the river. Oh, yeah. And then. And then on the walls, I guess to the left and right here are two very large, like 50 foot, well trimmed green trees with fruit on them. And that fruit looks identical to the other ones you get. And then on the far side of the room in front of you, there's a huge, like 20 foot, all like, cedar chair, blue cushions, and sitting on it is the huge humanoid that you saw the statues of. Around 40 foot tall, covered in brown shaggy hair, forearms and two legs are like a gorillas. His head shaped like a cat, but with no visible ears or four eyes. And like two of them are in the normal spot. And then it's got the. And it's got two other ones on the side of its head. And then there's two upper canines or like saber tooth. Saber tooth teeth just several feet long. And then it has like a pendant hanging from on the chain that's like an hourglass with sand coming out of the center. Like, so it's like flowing in both directions. Oh. And then. And it also still smells like home in here. And there's also fireflies and bees floating around about the area. There's a beehive near the throne, and there's like a little wood golem standing, like at the ready. And like a butler's outfit by the throne. And it's like 2ft tall. Okay. But yeah, as you walk in here, you see the giant cat head. Like it does like that weird, like, zoom out, but like. Yeah, the head, like gets within like two feet from you and like in like this little like kind of like a sing song drawing out the S's voices. Ah, welcome, Cash. Speaker E: How are you doing? Speaker C: Cash, like, drops to one knee and. Speaker E: Says, am I in the presence of a God? What is this place? Speaker A: It's my home. Speaker E: Thank you for taking me in. Did I die? Speaker A: No, you were away, so I kept you safe. Speaker E: Thank you. What do I call you? Speaker A: Call me Carousel. Speaker E: Carousel. Why did you keep me safe? What can I do for you? Speaker A: Not necessarily Something you could do for me. But you have a part to play. Speaker E: Tell me what it is and I'll do it. Speaker A: I generally don't interfere that way. But if you wish, I could give you admission. Speaker E: Yes. Speaker A: But first, let's see if you're. Of course. What do you use to mend a jack o' lantern? Speaker C: Elder rat? Speaker E: I can do anything. Speaker A: He actually frowns. Speaker C: Oh no. I'm upset him. Speaker A: Yo. As you. As you. The. The little golem, like just appears there with like a bucket. Bucket and mop and starts cleaning up your f. And aristotle. That was not a funny answer to my question. Speaker E: I'm sorry. Speaker A: He goes. He just goes, elderite's not that interesting. Speaker E: Wow. Speaker C: Getting personal now. Speaker E: Who want to argue with this all powerful being? Speaker A: So he asks you again. What do you use to mend a jack o lantern? Yes. Speaker E: Just make the cuts look better. Speaker A: He kind of frowns a little bit. He's like, maybe you're not cut out with this. What do you call a fake noodle? Fake noodle? Yeah. Speaker C: Take a bite of the fruit. Speaker E: I want to see how other people are answering. Speaker A: So you would see like an infinite. And there would probably be even some of them where you person athletic. Speaker C: Half of them were like elder eye. Speaker A: There would be like probably a lot of variations. And a lot of them do just like disappear at that point. Like. Like you see the answer and they're gone. But then it. Like. But then you see the best one and you see your. You see yourself answer imposta. And he chuckles his chugs. That is a good answer. Bend the curl for. Do you enjoy the fruit? I do. Speaker E: It tastes well. I can't describe how it tastes. Speaker A: He's like, maybe this one will be more in your alley. Up your alley. Why was the birthday cake as hard as a rock. Speaker C: So bad? It is if you have. Speaker A: If you have character stats. I'm totally fine. Like, this doesn't have to be like on you as a person. How are your wits? Speaker E: Not great. Speaker A: I'm like, if you want you. I'm totally fine with you, like, rolling and using your character stuff. Speaker C: All right. Speaker D: I'll try mining for information. Speaker E: 2D6 plus mine. Speaker A: Is that how it is? Yeah. Plus mind. And then if you have a career. Speaker C: Probably not. Speaker D: Trader Drifter Mountain. Speaker C: My. Speaker A: I don't think so. Yeah. You can apply your trader to that. Speaker D: What was the riddle again? Speaker A: Why was the birthday cake as hard as a rock? Speaker C: Makes you feel any better? I haven't got any of these either. Speaker E: Too much flour. Speaker C: Just that cake you guys left out. Speaker A: That. Then guitarist yes, it did stay the same. Speaker C: They left a piece of cake out. That's like an accidental experiment. Family. It was like underneath the plastic and nobody in the family touched. They just left it under the plastic thing for like how long? Speaker A: Like three months. Oh, wow. Speaker B: And it didn't really left it in our garage and we put it in the sun and like 80 degree weather. Never molded. Speaker C: Interesting. Speaker B: Storebought cake. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Slice in. It. Speaker A: Sweated. Speaker B: And that's about it. Never molded. Speaker A: It's disturbing. Speaker B: Crazy. Speaker A: Oh, great. Speaker E: Carousel. I do not mean to offend you, but my feeble mind can't comprehend your amazing vocabulary. Speaker A: He chuckles, he chuckles and he goes. That's okay. Maybe you can tell me a joke or give me something else that I would like. Speaker E: Of course. Of course. Why did the chicken cross the road? Speaker C: Snake eyes. Speaker A: Yeah, I'm fine with that. Yeah. Speaker E: If the joke lands. Speaker A: Yeah, I'm totally fine. It doesn't quite land. Speaker E: Which I think is a failure. Speaker D: Right? Speaker A: Nine. Yeah, nine would be. Nine would be the success threshold. Speaker D: But you have to give your answer. Speaker A: All right. Yeah. So you, you. You tell him it is the joke. And Carousel just goes. Well, maybe humor is. And puns are not for thing. That is okay. They're not for everyone. Speaker E: All the miner. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker E: Climbing. Speaker A: This is true. You are a good climber. How about you climb to the top of that tree over there and fetch me two fruits. Speaker C: Oh, he's scampered. Z, do that. I got this. Speaker A: Yeah. So that you can just give me like agility. An agility roll with with a bonus die. And this is just a very easy. Since you have your hands, your and your mutation. Yeah. Yep. You can climb up there and climb 50 foot up into these trees and grab it and come back down. And he kind of like. He claps with like the lower set of his arms. Dance monkey. Speaker E: He's clearly in control. Speaker A: And he. He smile. It was excellent. Good job. Maybe I. Maybe I could make use of you. Of your abilities. I will think on this. And it goes. And to pay for your time here, what do you have? Speaker E: I have this aerial trout and this revolver. Speaker D: Do you like things? Speaker A: Do you like these things that you have? Speaker E: Yes. I've had nothing before. Speaker A: And now I have stuff. Speaker E: It's better to have than not have. What I find. Speaker A: Yes, good point. Speaker D: What would you like to give me? Speaker E: What do you want? What do you value? Speaker A: This is what you value. I would like what you value. Speaker E: You want what I most value? Speaker C: Not necessarily. Speaker A: This is something that you value. Speaker C: Let me see what else I have in my Inventory. Speaker E: All right, well, maybe you like this. Speaker A: And I pull out this porcelain mask that's worth the full credit on its own. Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Speaker A: You see. Speaker E: Into drama. Maybe this mask. Speaker A: And, like, as soon as you, like, go, like, maybe this mask, one of the arms, like, like that does the. It is just, like, there. And he, like, picks it up. Speaker C: That's right. Speaker D: His size. Speaker C: Yeah, he picks it up. Speaker A: He terazo grabs the. Yeah, he grabs it. And then, like, as his arm is, like, going to his face, the whole, like, mask, like, grows fits on his face and he puts it on. And then it also has, like, grew, like, changed to, like, fit his face. He has this fancy mask on now with two giant fangs hanging out from underneath. It just goes, how do I look, Mr. Virgil? Speaker E: And he looks intimidating and full of mystery. Speaker A: And he goes, like, what about now? And then the mask changes to, like, this. The most, like, ridiculous looking, like, facial expression you think of. Speaker E: You look outrageously great. Speaker A: Excellent. Well, goodbye. And you find yourself in the library with the rest of the group as they're enjoying breakfast. And for the rest of you guys, it was like, he was never. Like, he's always been there. He was never gone. Speaker C: But Cash remembers everything, right? Speaker A: Yes, you remember everything. You also have three pieces of fruit. Oh, yeah. Speaker E: And no mask. Speaker A: Yep, no mask. Speaker C: Like, dude, where'd you get the fruit? Speaker E: What care of God, where was I just now? Speaker B: Been here the whole time. Speaker C: Somebody's been hitting the ale this morning. I look at the fruit. Speaker A: I don't know. Speaker E: I got this. I think I died and came back. Speaker A: So do I remember you? Yeah, you remember your thing. Speaker C: I look at you guys and go, aha. Speaker E: I talked to a golden God with the face of a saber. Speaker B: Must have been something in the air in the library. Speaker E: No, I brought these fruits back from his domain. Speaker C: Would I remember those from Wakimaya? Speaker A: You would probably, like, yeah. You'd probably, like, recognize it. Those look like that were the fruit that was on those guys. Speaker C: That's what I was saying the other day. I'm like, okay, I'm not crazy. It happened to him too. Like, that's so I didn't ask about the fruit originally. If I had so. Yeah. Fruit, I'd be like, where did you get those? Not just. Where'd you get those? Speaker E: Carousel. What's his name? Speaker C: Like, big cat looking weird dude. Speaker E: Yes. Speaker C: That's what tells jokes. Speaker E: They said yes, and I was really bad at the jokes. Speaker A: That's okay. Speaker E: He almost smiled at me. Speaker C: Did he get mad? Speaker D: He got a little mad. Speaker A: Wow. Speaker E: Did you try the fruit? Speaker C: No, I went by it. Speaker E: You won't take a bite? Speaker C: Like, thinking, really, maybe not here, but did you eat it? Speaker E: That's like, clearly happy. Speaker A: Well, what happened? Speaker E: I saw alternative versions of me in time doing different things, and some of them were bad and some were good, but it could inform my current choice in that moment. It was like an omen that sounded really useful. Speaker C: You should hide those. I don't know who else knows about this. Yeah, that might come in handy. Speaker D: Any seeds or did you eat those two? Speaker E: I ate those two. Speaker C: Right here. Speaker A: Is that breakfast? Speaker D: Librarians come walking out of the portal. Speaker C: Feel so good. Well, I'm not crazy, guys. I saw the same thing. I believe you now. I believe you now. Speaker D: With a current eyesight, he's like, see what. Speaker C: The freak? Speaker E: Oh. Speaker C: Okay, this is weird. That's two of us. I don't know what this thing wants, but apparently he can pluck us out whenever he wants. That's a little disturbing. Speaker E: He seems to have, like, a purpose for us or something. It may just be entertainment, though, because. Speaker C: That'S kind of the feeling I got. Speaker E: I thought we were cute or funny. Speaker B: Seems like. Speaker E: Like a pet. Speaker C: I don't know if I like that. Speaker E: I don't. I. I don't know either. But he made you listen. In which case I love it. Speaker D: Looked at all, he's like, do you. Speaker A: Know what he's talking about? That. Who? Oh, O. Speaker B: There. Speaker A: O. And. Yeah, well, the librarians are there too. Bo and Anton, the head guy that. Speaker C: Talked to them, even look at Anton. Like, have you ever heard of Carson? Speaker A: You know, I don't recall. I don't know. Speaker C: If you want a research project, I might have a new research question. I wasn't sure if I had accidentally smoked something or what, but. But now I feel like we either smoke the same thing or. Or we just have the same experience from some other being. I'd like to think it's the latter. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: Does this mean we're going back in the library? I don't want to go back to right now. Speaker B: You guys are going back in the library. Speaker D: We'll wait for you. Speaker B: We have things. Speaker C: Yeah, next time I'm going to the. Speaker E: Library, I'm researching Carousel. In the meantime, I want to figure out how to please this God and worship him. Speaker C: I'll be like you. Do you, man. Speaker A: You know, apparently you're going to have to learn some jokes. Speaker E: Yeah. Wait, do you have any joke books in the library? Speaker A: Anton chuckles and he goes, yes, we have quite the collection. And mo's like, yah. Yah, we got lots of books, but first you're gonna have to learn to read. Speaker C: One thing at a time. Speaker A: But she goes, I But teaching you to read using the joke books would be a grand time. Jokes in rum. I. Speaker C: Would have learned a long time ago if I knew this class was on the table. Speaker A: I. The advantages of learning as you're old. When you're older, it may be hard. Speaker C: But a college lesson, it's like English and rum. Like what? I'm in. All right, let's do this. Speaker E: At least get 50%. Speaker D: That's just the proof of the rum. Speaker A: Today's lesson be half an hour. Speaker C: And then a nap. Speaker D: Just don't stop your studying. I fear a hangover in the future. Speaker A: Oh, gosh. You. I. You wouldn't. That's true. Yeah, you wouldn't. I guess you wouldn't. Well, yeah, that's true. You wouldn't have those memories because you weren't needed at this. So. Yeah, you wouldn't. Yeah. Speaker B: Run this the whole time. We found that shortcut. Got it straight up to the surface, basically. Speaker C: That tells us something, though, because I got plucked out too. So he was plucked out before we exited, and we don't remember it, so he said, you eat the fruit, you see tiny stuff. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: Time. God. Or time being. Speaker E: Oh, okay, that makes sense. Speaker C: He plucked us both out to tell. Speaker E: Us jokes to entertain him. Speaker C: So I'm gonna dive hold something here. And I didn't tell the others, but did you wake up naked? Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Speaker C: I'm like, okay, super. Speaker E: Like the day I was born. Speaker C: That's. I don't know. You're telling jokes and you wake up naked. I'm beginning to suspect this guy's not always cracked up with me, so be cautious. Speaker E: But I felt so refreshed. Speaker A: That's true. Speaker C: I slept really well. I was healed up. I didn't make him mad, though. If you made him mad and he didn't kill you, that's a good sign. Speaker E: Yeah, for now. He wanted me to do something, but wouldn't tell me what it was. Speaker B: Okay. Speaker E: He's like, you got something to do, still part to play? And I said, well, just tell me what it is. And he said, no, that'll ruin it for me. Speaker D: So I don't know. Speaker E: The unknowable divinate the designs of a God. Speaker D: I'm sorry, you're gonna have to live out the punchline to continue on with. Speaker C: The rest of it. Now I'm kind of curious what your part you play is. Is it to save one of us. Speaker A: Or to be a bullet shield? Yeah. Speaker E: Maybe it's to save your sister. Speaker A: Oh. Speaker E: Did you find out enough information about your. Speaker C: I did. Speaker E: The dark. Speaker C: I gotta admit, I'm having trouble asking you guys to put your neck on the line to go into a war zone. The more I read about this place, the more danger it's. If it's gonna come. I think that, you know, I'm fearing that she's beyond our reach. I don't. I don't even know. Speaker D: We're. Speaker C: So far, we've kind of proven ourselves to be a pretty skilled crew, you guys. But I don't know that we're gonna be able to get her out of there. Speaker D: I just learned stuff. You tell me I can't use it. Speaker C: I mean, if you guys want to go, I'll go. Because I'm probably gonna go with or without you, so. But you guys say now. If you don't think the doing is worth doing. It's not about my sister. It's whether or not it's just a fool's errand to try to make it into this land and get her out. Speaker D: Adventure sucked me into this mess. I'm damned if I'm gonna stop now. Speaker C: By the way, I gotta admit, I'm trying not to accidentally dripping the cinder. Just the list. The lisp is right there. Speaker B: Stand behind them. Speaker A: It's so easy to do. Speaker C: I just been speaking with the list for so long. Speaker A: It's back. Wait a minute. Speaker D: Were you reincarnated? Speaker A: No. Speaker C: Cinder is dead. Speaker A: Dead. Speaker B: Pretty close to that town. Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Speaker B: Never know. Speaker C: He's gonna be really upset if he has a lot of teeth. Make up for it with his hair. He hide it with his hair. Just like on either side of his mouth. Speaker D: Hold the hair down. Speaker C: So it just covers the extra teeth. Freaks people out by going. Speaker A: All right. Speaker D: Do I know you? Speaker E: Maybe. Speaker C: That would be great. Someone just blow him away. Speaker A: It would be fun. Speaker C: Came on me. Speaker D: Killed you twice. Speaker C: Although he burned in this last time, so we'll see. Speaker D: Shaking. Speaker C: You guys probably inside now. If you want to do this or not. I won't hold it against you. Speaker E: I'm like 36 sure that the God wants me to, so I'm in. Speaker C: Not sure about your math, but okay. The new acolyte of carousel is interested. Speaker D: What's your holy symbol? Speaker A: I don't know. As you're doing. Ah, whatever. Speaker C: Oh, no. Speaker A: In your. In your hand, a medallion that hangs from a chain that is. Has. It's a. It's an hour. Like an hourglass with sand coming out of the center. Speaker E: This. Speaker C: Can you see it just appearing? Speaker A: Yeah, it's just there. It does. It's not like it. Speaker E: It doesn't like, pop. It doesn't appear. Speaker A: It's just. Speaker E: I've always. Speaker A: Yeah. He goes like, it looks like this. And it's just. Is there. Speaker E: Auspiciously, like. Speaker C: Like, wow. Speaker A: You really are the accolade. Speaker B: That's metal. Speaker C: I don't think he was necessarily mad. Speaker A: At you if he gave you his symbol. Yeah, I hope not. Speaker C: What's it look like? Speaker A: What? Speaker C: Like the symbol. Speaker D: That hard glass. Speaker A: It's a. It's. It's like. Speaker C: It's. Speaker A: I guess it's. It looks like it's a gold silver medal, a ring. And then inside, it is like the. Like the traditional, like, glass app. Looking hourglass. But there's sand coming out of the center. Speaker C: Well, we have an acolyte of time with a limited number of fruit. Speaker E: Two and a half fruits. Speaker A: No, you have. You have two full ones and then the half one. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker C: So, you guys. Speaker A: I don't know. Speaker C: How are you feeling? Speaker B: I'm ready to go. Speaker C: He's got. Speaker B: O some clothes for the art place. Speaker A: Sure. You guys want to do it after. Speaker D: I get some glasses, Make a focus. And a few other things. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker E: Okay. Speaker D: We might even be able to get the pack to give us a ride. Speaker C: Well, if we make it through this, I'm gonna owe you guys pretty hard. I want you to know that. And I apologize in advance if we get ourselves killed. Although I figure there's a strong possibility he's gonna make it. I'm beginning to believe. Speaker D: I'll probably need your help with Orz finding coins. Speaker C: Well, obviously, you have my help. Speaker B: They have bigger things. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: I'm wondering if we blow that seal, just what sort of blessings would be released back to that down. Kind of gives me the willies to begin with. Speaker A: Yep. Speaker B: That'll be fun. Speaker C: All right. Guess that's right. Speaker B: Go shopping. Speaker A: Yeah. So. Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Speaker A: And the floating brains. No. Yeah, they're. They're around. Oh. They would have, I guess, been in listening to your conversations, too, and then. Yeah. Just reaffirms that. Speaker B: Gonna stay here. I think, after. Speaker A: No. She or I say no. She's. She reaffirms that. She's late in it with you guys. Speaker C: She's with us. Speaker B: We have to get her some clothes. Speaker A: Right now. Speaker D: She's my teacher. Speaker B: How to use a gun. Just carrying guns. Speaker A: Yeah. So Ollie. Ollie's in. All in with you guys. Speaker C: We did save energy and. Speaker A: Yeah, she would have expressed that, like, as part of the gratitude but also she loves learning stuff. So she'd rather do it in the world than in a library, since she'd just been in the library for like 80 years. Yeah. Got to go and sit there, ready to be out in the air into the lion's mouth. Yeah. Speaker C: Different lion, different cat, whatever he is. Speaker E: Can I use what? Speaker A: Thomas? Speaker C: Like I feel so vindicated by the fact that he's been there. Speaker A: What? Speaker D: You sleep in the new and you come back free. Speaker C: I didn't get fruit. He did. Speaker E: All right. Speaker C: You sleep in the new end of Medallion. I just woke up new, told a joke or heard a joke and then left. You apparently achieved a status, got a gold chain and you gave me food. Speaker E: Well, I just ate it. I didn't. He didn't tell me to. Speaker C: You just. You just ate some fruit? Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker C: He didn't tell you to go get any fruit? Speaker E: Well, he did tell me to get some too, but after I'd already eaten some. Speaker C: Maybe that makes you an acolyte. Speaker E: Maybe that's what it is. Speaker C: I don't know. Speaker D: Strange magic fruit powered fruit can tell you. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker C: I would take you by to experiment, but I've been told not to experiment with illicit substances in the presence of friends. Speaker D: Come on, Doc, if you can't experiment with illicit substances with friends, who can you? Speaker C: I tend to control my faculties for the most part. Speaker D: Audrey's also curious. How much juice can you get out of that fruit? Speaker A: I don't know. Speaker E: You want to try it? Speaker C: Sure. Speaker E: I'll give you one. Speaker C: Give them the half or a whole. Speaker E: Another half, I guess. Speaker D: I get a vial and I work with holly and whatnot and we try and juice the fruit and see how much liquid we can get into the vine. Speaker A: So when you, when you squeeze it, the fruit doesn't budge. Speaker C: Like nothing comes out. Speaker A: Like you like. It doesn't squeeze at all. And if you like try to like, like an orange or whatever, it. It's almost like solid. Okay. Speaker D: You can't get the juice out of it. Goes ahead and just licks it. He doesn't take a bite out of it. Kind of like a salt lick. Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta eat it. Speaker B: Kind of gross. Speaker E: Nobody else wants to try it. Speaker D: But you probably saw on the outside you licking the skin for a reaction and then if there's no reaction there. Speaker A: Then you would try the licking. The. The skin is very much like. If you like lick an orange rind or lemon rind, like it has like that weird like bitter, kind of tingly. Nothing happens. Okay. Speaker D: For science. And he licked a. Speaker A: The pulp portion yeah. When you lick that, you get about one. You see about three seconds in the future and past, like, infinity. Speaker D: You see my eyes dilated. Speaker A: Whoa. Speaker C: Doc says, let me see. Speaker E: That should be ready for me. Speaker C: No, I'm not gonna look at. I look at it, and I try to see if there's any seeds. Speaker A: No, like that. So the outside of, like, that is kind of, like, swirling green, yellow, and orange. And it. It's. And as you, like, look at it, those patterns are actually slowly, like, shifting on the fruit. On the inside is almost. Almost kind of pearlescent. C. But also has kind of like, like, flowing water. Like, it actually looks like. And then if you, like, start staring at it, you start, like. Like, feeling like you're getting, like, sucked. You get that weird, like, vertigo. Like, you're just gonna fall into it. Speaker C: But no seeds. Speaker A: No, you don't see anything. Just looking for seeds. But it's cool. Speaker C: That is one peculiar piece of fruit. Speaker D: Save that for times when you need quick answers. Just one lick will do you. Speaker E: Yes. Speaker A: So, yeah, so like this. So for you, like, Audrey, like, this is also just for players, too. Like, when you, like, licking that, you're feel free to, like, describe, like, any possible future. Like, anything that could be for, like, Audrey. Like, you could, like, even one where you just, like, draw your gun and shoot someone. Like, just because it's like infinity on the dark side. Speaker D: Somebody got shot, the library got burned, Fires were started to the other side of. I know everything. I understand it. For that brief moment, Audrey would feel like the animal is just so simple. Why. Why don't we understand this and everything in between? You know what? I'm just going to sit here, and I'm going to eat all this food. Yeah, I got the munchies now. Speaker C: From enlightenment to. Speaker A: I think, duh. Speaker D: Well, that would be the realization, too. I wanted to read that Library. Is there a bathroom around here? Speaker A: It. Speaker D: It'd be almost. I don't want to say schizophrenic, because it's all the same character's voice, but it'd be very adhd. It would be hard to focus on any one image as they're all talking at the same time. Speaker A: And I'll say, too, that, like, that also, like, expands your capability to actually, like, understand. So if you want, like, you can, like, look, you basically are able to look at all the. All infinity and not go insane. Like, you know, like, so you could. You. You can look. Yeah, you can, like, look at any string strand or string or rib or whatever and do that action. And you know, like, what. What will result? Speaker D: It would be a glance through, but totally focused on Alan and understand. Kind of like Highlander. Speaker A: I understand everything. Speaker E: Now. Speaker D: Turn to the Quickening. No lightning bolts splitting books or anything like that. Speaker A: And like that. That is. It's specifically three seconds into your future. So not necessarily like. So you wouldn't like, learn or know anything that you. Oh no. Speaker D: But for that brief moment, it would totally make sense. Everything would click and there'd probably be one where I got all the coins and now no one can stop me. There might be an evil laugh in there too. I don't have. Speaker A: I guess what I'm saying is it's not three seconds. It's three seconds into your future. Like so literally, like not multi dimensional, but this future. Speaker D: Well, this future is like combined with the wh. Ifs. If I had all the coins, what would happen? Speaker C: And. But you're talking about that. It's where you're at right now. Three seconds in the future from him, at the space. Speaker A: Yeah. So like. So it would just be like whatever Audrey could do in three seconds. He would be able to see all the. All of those possibilities and. And you have the capacity to pick the one that happens. Speaker D: Okay. Yeah. With alum focus, you would zero in on that, then watch it all go dark again. Speaker E: Kind of predicting. Speaker A: And I guess too, it would. It would. Well, yeah, it would. You would see all the actions that you can do that could happen for you. But then you also. You're seeing three seconds of everybody. Yeah. And you can pick the line that you want to like, go down. Okay. So if you were like say so like if you were in a fight, you could. You would be able to see like three seconds. So like a, like half a like combat round. And you'd be able to see where like all the bullets are, where what everyone else was good. I going to do. And then pick the line that says, I'm going to go over there, like, kill that guy. Speaker D: I can see this now. Speaker C: Hold it. Speaker E: Okay. Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, it does that. Just licking it. Yeah. Speaker C: Dr. Just like. Are you okay? Speaker E: I think so. Speaker C: Your eyes got big for a second. Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Speaker D: The pupils have totally dilated. Speaker A: It'd be. Speaker D: I don't want to say like an LSD trip, but my mind is open to possibilities, an idea to consider. Speaker C: Is that what you felt? Speaker E: Kind of, yeah. Speaker C: He said it was like infinite time. Speaker E: It was like looking at all the different things I could do right now. Speaker A: And see what would happen. Speaker C: How long did that last? When you. Speaker E: When I take a bite. It's like 30 seconds. Speaker A: Whoa. Speaker C: How long did it last for you. Speaker A: When you licked it? Speaker D: Not near 30 seconds. Enough to pique my interest and say, this is possible, but not enough to answer any questions. Speaker C: That's good to know. That could come in your handy get. No tension. Speaker D: Shame we can't juice it. A little drop underneath the tongue. Speaker C: That doesn't make any sense because it looks like it's literally made of liquid. Speaker A: Strange. Speaker C: Never seen anything like it. Now you know that I'm not crazy. Speaker D: Torture. Somebody's about to die and you give them a drop of that under their. Speaker C: Here's all the possible futures of you being strapped to a table. Speaker A: Well, he'd also see the one where he got, like, can get out. If that's even a possibility. Speaker C: All right, let's go shopping. Yeah, we need to hide that fruit for now. Pretty peculiar looking. Speaker A: Yeah. And Tom would definitely. Yeah. Make sure you should definitely keep that in the. And then like. Like when he. Say. Like when you guys are talking about it, he would. Both him and Mo would ask if they can take a lick. Yeah, they could. And you would see. Anton's eyes would actually, like, actually glow. Gulp. For the three seconds. Speaker C: I would actually tell Anton, you know, your eyes just lit up. Speaker A: He goes, interesting. Speaker C: Yeah, his eyes didn't do that. Speaker D: He's of the divine mind. Speaker C: Maybe Carousel is. Daddy. Speaker D: No, he's a Child of Mithras. Speaker C: Oh. Speaker D: Unless Carousel Mithras had a thing that. Speaker C: We don't know about. Speaker A: Yeah, because normally his eyes are charcoal. Like, he doesn't. They're just charcoal. They Even the whites. Yeah, he just has charcoal eyes and they lit up gold for three seconds. Speaker D: What you see? Speaker C: Well, if you're curious, he's got the symbol on him. They have his name. I don't know if you have any records around, but maybe something to go look at. Speaker A: I will probably dive into the library. Not our library. Not this idea. I don't want to go in there by myself right now. Speaker C: Just so we can differentiate in the future. Let's just call that hell, not confuse it with this current light right there. Although I am kind of thinking fondly of the fact that we left that little critter inside of that vault. Speaker E: That's a good deed for the year. Speaker C: They should be thanking us down there. Speaker D: I wonder how long he can live in there before somebody opens the door. Speaker C: It's too long. Whatever time that is, it's too long. Speaker D: For him to live, considering time flow is different. Next time we go in, he might be behind a door. We open. Speaker C: Tunneling his way out right now. Speaker A: All right, so where do you guys want to go first? Or I guess. Speaker C: I guess. Speaker A: What are you guys looking. I guess you needed. You need to close, right? Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, my glasses in focus. Speaker D: Baby goggles just in case. Speaker C: I should grab some sticks. Farmers are helpful. Speaker B: There's the night. Speaker D: Maybe have Evanton's got any more current maps of where we're headed. Speaker A: You guys would have found like I guess now let me go to. Do you guys know over here? So yeah. So you guys are in the peaks of Light over here right now and you know you need to get up here. All this red is front lines like Civil War slash World War I type fighting trench warfare. Yes. And it's. And it's stuff that's coming from Shadowlands and other monsters creatures because this is a monster control territory. So however you guys want to get there. I mean it's not it. I mean you can get. Take the train to get pretty close. Speaker C: I would kind of ask Anton quietly before he left. I'd be like I would want to get in and out of the Shadowlands with all the war on it. See if he knows anything about. He would. Speaker A: He wouldn't know anything about the Shadowlands other than anything you shared because where you're. You're that this place is the. The territory you're going is the Twilight Wilds. Is that territory. Yeah. He. He would probably suggest just straight up avoiding the front lines or risking the river and then I don't know if you're sharing like where you need to get like the town that you're trying to get to. He would probably. He would probably say just take the train to Rathbanks, which is up here and then just take the river straight there if you want a direct route. Hope they don't see that insight. Or you could like navigate by night the monster swim. Speaker E: Oh yeah. Speaker C: Well, I guess do I know from. I guess this is only about Shadowlands. Are any of the creatures from Shadowlands, did they come out into the Twilight worlds? Speaker A: Yeah. You would know. You would know from your learnings in there that there are Shadow orcs and critters and some other creator creatures that they're fighting that they're. That's the main like force along with like enslaved I guess conscripted humans. Speaker C: So from my beast year, you don't know about water critters that they have. Speaker A: He probably would have learned of some, I'm sure. But you also know like also Savicola has its own of water creatures. I mean They're. I mean, gators and like hippopotamuses and like those giant, like, elephant hippopotamus things that you get that your frontier scum guys fought. I mean, all that stuff then front. Frontier scum that you guys were hunting was all, like, natural stuff that's been. Plus other stuff. So it. It's. It's just dangerous to travel water. Not like it has its risk, but you're not likely if you're in like a. A boat. A canoe or something. Might be risky, but like a regular, like, boat. And those rivers are big, right? Oh. Speaker C: Yeah. If there was a way to get the teleporter box on the other side and have someone take it over there for us, we could teleport to it. Trebuchet that sucker across the line. Teleport to it. Speaker A: Oh, but I'm gonna zoom this out a little bit too, so you guys can, like, launch it into orbit C2. But I mean, it's the long way around. Speaker E: I think we gotta just go. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker A: It's like, that's the. That's the most direct and would be the quickest. I mean, you could risk. He doesn't. I guess he wouldn't know about your pack of talons. That would be. Pack of talon, your Audrey's Lapu, and that Cash hasn't met yet. Speaker C: They probably protect a boat. Speaker D: I'm not sure if they're swimmers, but. Speaker A: They would be able to Swift crest. Speaker C: I bet they're swimmers. Speaker A: Big enough to be. Speaker C: Big old tables and stuff. Speaker D: Am I still connected? Even though I know they're far away from where we're at. Speaker A: If you reach out, you immediately hear a lot who just go, yes. That's not. Yes, that's not. Speaker D: I. I would ask if they swim much. Speaker A: You kind of hear like that. Like, Wes, have you seen the Venom movies? Speaker E: No. Speaker A: Okay. No, it's. It's just a. It's kind of the voice references voice, but it's like super bassy and kind of like loudish, I guess. Just like. Yeah, it's kind of bassy, but you get like, almost like the chuckle response. And you just get the. You get the sense that they hunt where they want to. Speaker D: You just see a gray cross my face. As far as the conversation's going well, after we leave the mountain, we'll need to go north and swim up a river. When we get close to that time, will you be in that area? Would you like to go hunting further north? Speaker A: Yeah. Lots of food. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker B: You. Speaker A: You would just be. It just. Just replies. We serve destin okay. Speaker D: And then I don't know. When we get up close to that. Speaker C: Point. Speaker D: I look forward to rejoining the pack. Speaker A: And you get the. And you get like the affectionate rumble sound. Can we get a boat when we get there? Speaker D: They might be able to swim us up. We might get a little wet. Speaker C: Yeah, that's true. Speaker D: Travel by night during war zone. I'm sure I could certain a couple smugglers with a pack. Speaker E: Okay. Speaker C: Guess we'll figure it out when we get there. Speaker A: Yep. Right. Speaker E: Always do. I'll. Speaker D: I'll send out a call once we get up there. Speaker C: All right. The best plan I think we've had yet. And worst that, it's going to be an adventure. I have a feeling that if we pull this off, whether we get our sister back or not, if we go through this, I'm going to owe you guys for the rest of my life. Speaker A: So I guess. I guess travel wise you guys, you gonna meet the pack earlier and travel by them north. Are you guys gonna take the train? Speaker B: I think we're taking the train all the way up. Speaker C: Probably be safer for them because they can sneak travel without us banging around. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. So you would probably. So yeah, with that plan, I would say you would communicate that you want to meet them near Rath Lake because. Speaker D: I know they don't want to get anywhere near the mountain. Speaker A: Well that and it's like 300 mile. Like they have like. Like 300 miles they need to cover. So yeah, they would. So they would set off. You might. You guys might end up having to wait. I'll have. We'll do a little math to see but yeah, maybe because we have to. Speaker C: Wait on trains going through towns and. Speaker A: Y we might get their similar time. Speaker D: Frame and be one of those things as we travel. I don't have to worry about eavesdroppers or anything. So it be communication as far as. Okay, where's the pack at? This is where we're at. Speaker A: Cool. Speaker C: I'm so glad you have them. Speaker A: And. Speaker C: That you didn't die. Speaker D: That was my first and one experience. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Almost killed you. Speaker D: Well, Bandwin didn't do it. But the other stuff just about doing. I think I know I might go more for goggles and glasses. They don't fall off as easy. Speaker C: How many of them are 6? Speaker A: 5 of them. Well, there was 5 of them last time. Speaker C: Find out that they breed like rabbits and grow faster. There's 12. Speaker A: Really? Speaker C: Well, they have an army. Speaker D: Yeah, there's 5 West Town. Speaker A: Oh, that's still pretty awesome. Speaker D: But they're drawing Ones while they were hunting. Speaker C: That's true. Speaker D: Others that are interested in this strange human. Speaker C: What if they killed other pet seeders or something? Or another pack leader got killed by something. They had to go find another one. Who knows? We get there, we're like, we're going to help you with the front line. Speaker D: One of those things of we get through with the pack and they all want to go through the portal for fresh hunting grounds. Speaker E: Be useful. Speaker C: Well, it's better than just escaling. Speaker D: Or there might be just a couple that would go through with us to scout. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Cool. Shopping. I would make notes too of anything that I might learn that we would need from the Shadowlands Beast Fury. If there's any materials, if silver is good, whatever. Speaker A: If we need holy water. So you would have learned that like that stuff. They're not like the Shadow Works and stuff are generally just like a regular flesh and blood. Yeah. Speaker C: Same stuff works on them, that works on us. Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Yeah, essentially that and. And the Shadowlands is. I guess essentially magic is active there. Speaker C: I would let you know that because you're kind of dabbling more in that than I am. Just be like, I let everybody know that you're gonna have to take some notes because you're the one messing with this stuff now. Speaker A: I guess you. You would know that there are magic wielders there. That's. Yeah. Speaker C: We mentioned Ollie as well, obviously. Speaker A: Okay, cool. Speaker C: Buy it. Let's go. Speaker A: All right, so you guys need gear. So this is pretty much like you're essentially gonna be able to. I don't know if you guys just want to speed run it, you'll be able to basically get whatever you want within reason without lowering your predator. And then also too like where you're at, if you're like going to an outfitter and just buy like buying ammo and stuff. Like nobody cares about that because everyone has. But if you're like loading up on like lots of dynamite stuff. Well, actually they wouldn't really carol too much. They might ask you what it's for. Speaker C: We have a lot of stumps to blow up. Speaker A: Oh, because you're in a. Speaker C: You'd be the best person to say this. Speaker A: Yeah. Say that like so probably like a crate of dynamite. Nobody would care. But if you like get more than that, someone will ask questions. Speaker E: It's pretty good. Speaker A: Oh, is it a crate or a crate? Speaker C: It's a pallet. Speaker B: It has to fit on the train. Speaker A: I was going to say it had. Yeah. It had to be something you could. You would either be able to carry or packed on your on. Packed on a horse. So let's see. Got seven bag full. Yeah I was going to say is. Speaker D: That both sides or just satchel explosives from. Speaker A: I think they were. Let's find out on the Internet. So I bet it's something like 256 or something. Sounds good to me. Speaker D: Do you believe in hand grenades? I do know it probably be one of those classic ones with the stick on the end of it. Speaker E: Oh yeah. Speaker A: Oh the potato mash all the German. Yeah. I don't know if grenades well World War I but we're like 1866 tech so. Speaker D: But as far as roughly that same era. Could you describe the war front as being. Speaker A: That's like an idea of. Yeah like that kind of fighting because that was all to like civil war with a lot of for crap. So it's like. It's like that kind of fighting like this and there's like a gnarly like no man's plan. Speaker D: I thought they had explosives. Speaker A: I don't think they had it. Speaker B: I don't think they had grenades. Speaker A: No, I don't think those existed. It was civil war dynamite probably dynamite. Speaker C: Yeah it was like in place explosives. World War I had grenades. Speaker B: So why they don't figure out how to put shrapnel into explosion yet as. Speaker D: Well Cannons Depends on what you put inside the. Speaker A: Yeah, the barrel. Speaker D: Pirates and grapeshot. Speaker A: Yeah. I'll say you get 25 sticks. Speaker B: That's a long dime. Speaker C: I see you carrying that up his whistle. Speaker A: Well it's funny because I asked about it but they're like assuming the average weight is 0.75 pounds or 340 grams a box with 25 to 50 sticks would contain and it's like 25 sticks is about 20 pounds and 50 sticks is about 38. Speaker B: Start asking how you make dynamite. Speaker C: It actually freaking. Speaker A: Well it actually doesn't tell you that. Well it basically does tell you because his Dynamite contained about 75% nitroglycerin mixed with diatomous earth to stabilize letting him acquire those. You can buy. Well I don't know how. How if you can buy nitroglycerin but you can buy the. You can buy the earth. Yeah, Mom. Mom was talking about scattering that stuff around her plants to kill bugs and dad under his DEI. But yeah, we'll say 25 sticks to a box. So you guys have 25 sticks of diamond. So somebody make sure you write a note because I'm not going to track yourself. And then as far as like glasses for Audrey, you Anton or Mo would direct you to. Speaker D: I might go to the Tinkerers level. Speaker A: They, they would actually direct you to the, the Academy of Knowledge district. And then specifically. Wait, what's that? Speaker C: No, that's not the right. Speaker A: Reading books in the Dark Artisan quarter. Sorry, it's the Artisans Quarter. Yeah, they direct you to the Artisans Quarter to Outback Optometrist. Yeah. And as, as you like get to the store or whatever. On the, on the, like on the, on the window that's in, in the store that's built there, it says partner up with us for prescription cowboy approved eyewear. And then you walk in and you greeted by like a short 25 year old native American looking lady with dark eyes, like curly hair that's kind of like blue black there. Soprano, Jamaican. Hi, I'm Speedy. What can I get for you? Pair of goggles. Speaker D: I'm gonna be traveling. You need some eyewear that's not going to fall off my head. Speaker A: All right. And G corrections or just glass? Speaker D: Oh, I think I need corrections at this point. Speaker A: All right, hop in my chair and takes you off to a little chair and starts doing the eye different, like flipping through different. Speaker B: Go too fast. Speaker A: He finally finds like ones that correct your vision to normal. All right, I can get these ready for you in like two days. That works for you? Speaker C: That works. Speaker E: All right. Speaker A: Golf is for you in two days. All right, come back here, Mr. Audrey and we'll have those ready for you in two days and a rank. Oh, and then. Yeah, any other like if there's any other like guns or bullets or anything you need to get. Speaker C: They have any like lucky glasses or binoculars? Speaker A: Yeah, you can totally be able to get. Okay, I get both. If you want. Speaker C: I get a kit like for everyone to have some kind of either a spy glass or the mount. So we're going to need that peek a lot. What's ahead. Speaker A: Man? Like if you guys like ask like Ollie or like getting a guns or whatever, she just turns it like turns it down and it's like, I don't know if I'll be able to learn. Would learn to use these. Good enough. Speaker D: Having a case of emergency. Yeah, it's a point and click device. Speaker B: Please carry one on your hip. Need to turn. Speaker A: Most people now you look weird without it. Speaker D: Not quite naked, but yeah, they'll be styling with these. Let's say if you're not going to carry a six shooter on your hip, get a derringer and keep it in your sleeve. Speaker A: If you guys suggest a fault or on the hip or whatever, actually because of her inexperience. Speaker D: Would that be more of a rifle, shotgun preference? I mean, most homes. They weren't. The women didn't have gun knowledge, so I left him a shotgun. So it's just a point. Speaker A: Click. And probably Shaja. And then if you guys. I mean, Jack would probably have the most to say on that. Speaker B: Yeah. Want to learn how to shoot? Speaker A: Well, she would. She would, but I guess her. She would definitely be into learning to shoot. But she's saying, like, she's not sure if that would be effective. But yeah, if you guys are gonna. Speaker B: I was kids, I could teach her shoot for, like, two days or whatever. Two days to burn. Speaker A: Yeah. Well, at least. Because then in this process, too, you're buying the materials that. That always suggests her good craft here. Speaker B: Could teach her a basic six shooter. Because it would just be for, like, in town. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: For whatever reason, she got, like, harassed because. Speaker A: Yeah, you guys would. She definitely wouldn't be. Speaker B: But out in the wild. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker B: Many people around. Speaker A: Whatever. Yeah. Then, like, I guess she has, like, a glamour up, too. So she's kind of like. I guess you guys would, like, kind of when you're, like, walking in town, you're, like, keeping her in the center so people don't, like, necessarily bump into her or avoiding, like, the thick crowds and stuff. Yeah, yeah, because I remember that because you get, like. They go glamorous. You said like a hologram order. You can, like, push your sweat, your hands or whatever. Okay. So she'll have on the ball burp. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker B: Whatever clothes you want. Speaker D: If you don't have a hat, we'll probably need to make sure we get up. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. She would get. She would get like, the whole duster and then, like. And then, like, like more of, like, a hood and not necessarily. And not, like, necessarily a hat. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Because you almost, I guess, like, looks kind of like a wizard in a duster now with a duster. Speaker B: Because it rains here majority of the time right now. Speaker D: So hoodie with a duster on. Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Speaker D: A liner. Speaker B: And then six shooters just for show. If you don't want. Speaker A: Oh, no, no. I was going to say. Speaker B: Yeah, they're pretty easy to use. Speaker A: She's like. All right. Yep. Speaker C: If you're gonna teach me. Speaker A: I'm. Calm down. Speaker B: I would teach, actually. Speaker A: What does she sound like? She's supposed to sound, like, alone. No, she wasn't weird. I don't think she's French. That's right. And she talks fast. Yeah. So she talks fast and with a French accent. Yeah. So what you oh, I'd just be like. Speaker B: Just be for close range. You don't have to do no sharp shooting. Speaker A: She's like, we need to. I got. I got other things I can call upon for that. Speaker B: Mostly for the town People see that definitely here we're all dead. Speaker A: And you would like. I guess you'd see like all the kind of like lights up inside. We could definitely. We knew that in my world of arrows we improved their accuracy. Would be much more difficult to move these little pieces of metal or help improve their staking. Speaker C: That's going to come very handy. Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. So I guess it's up to you guys, I guess for your inventory and stuff to make notes of your gear. And we can also like potentially I'm also will be fine like retconning stuff. If we run into something that you need that's within reason that you guys bought it. Speaker B: Very difference between like a rifle and a sharps rifle or anything. Speaker A: Oh like have a bigger one or. Yeah. Speaker B: Like a sniper rifle essentially. Like clean a scope on a gun. Speaker A: Because they do have. There is a buffalo rifle that's good for 60 yards. D6. It's scale two damage. Speaker C: I have a repeating rifle. Speaker B: Yeah. Because I just have like a lever action. Speaker A: So if you want to pick up. Yeah, because there's a repeating rifle which is D6.8. Speaker B: Yeah, I have that. Speaker A: And then there's the buffalo rifle. That's a D6 skill too. So that means fighting normal. So anything that's their lifeblood's not scaled up. You're actually bumping your damage to two points up the track. So that probably. Yeah. Wait, that probably goes to D2, D6 or D6. I think it was. I think it was D6 higher than 2D. So I think it goes up to 2. D6 would be mostly your damage most of the time. Speaker B: I would buy one of those. If we're going to a war zone and we don't, what do we do? We know what shadow orcs are. Speaker A: You would have seen the skeleton and I can. Speaker B: All right. Speaker A: They're like. They're essentially like. Okay, yeah. You guys know what they are? Speaker B: If they're bigger than human, they're actually. Speaker A: They're. They're shorter. Speaker B: Okay. Speaker C: Still doesn't hurt. Speaker A: They're. They're, they're. They're five foot tall, long arms. Think like champ chimpanzee, orangutan, dark skin with patches of like dark green, blue, gray. So they're like have natural camouflage and they have like a Klingon forehead. So. And like you'd learn it like they will like cave your head in with their head. But yeah, that kind of deal. Speaker B: The bigger gun. Speaker C: Is there an issue with firing those versus another rifle? Like everybody's going. Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's probably a single shot. Single shot weapon. Yeah. So you would have to work. You would probably. Of course we haven't really been. Most of our fights haven't actually had gone long enough for you to have to like reload. Speaker C: Oh actually it doesn't say. Because the single shot rifle does say it takes one round to reload between firing. See other ones don't say that. So it doesn't take time to reload apparently. So that's good on the buffalo rifle. Single shot specifically mentions it. Speaker A: Yeah, that would probably still apply to this one too because it's a single shot weapon used for big game. Speaker C: Let's see. Speaker A: Yeah, yeah that would probably be shoot it once and then your next round you need to reload it. Just like if you run out of ammo. Any of your other guns round or reload November 3rd. Yeah. And then I guess so is there. Besides Andre building his thing, is there any projects anyone else will be working on that wants like. Is there any projects anyone needs to like work on? Like craft anything specific or. Not really. Speaker C: As an alchemist, I'd like to make some kind of sals furniture to help us your healing poisons. That's a still the alchemist can make. Speaker A: You guys didn't mark down 2xp yet or leading the library? I don't think so. Okay. Yeah. So you guys all have two XP for that included me. Yes. No. Yeah you are. It's just for the adventure you guys all have. So. So you. Yeah, so we'll have a downtime here. So you can either work on a project or spend your XP to level up something. If you. Speaker D: That mighty book of the occult explaining that too. You know, light reading for the train. Speaker B: Lots of time on the train. Speaker A: And then Audrey for you, you're a sorcerer too, right? And nice. Speaker C: I mean so. Speaker D: Yeah. Source routine. Speaker A: Okay, so you will have two project points. So you will be able to build your thing in one week. Speaker D: Could I use RP points to build two practicing back and forth. Speaker A: If you want to turn RP into XP which you then can use as DP points. So it would be 10 RP points to get an XP point. That's just how everyone works. You can spend XP to increase your project. Speaker D: 29 RP. Speaker A: So. So you could build a second. So you could been you could burn 20 points if you wanted to get two XPs. So then make another one. Assuming. Assuming you pass the roll, which you should. There is a roll to actually see if you craft a thing. Okay. Which you will do be doing it with a bonus die because you have all the looking over. So this. It will just be a 10. You'll need to hit a 10. So two. Yeah. So if you're doing that, if you're doing both of them, it's. It's two separate rules that will basically. So that will be a week of time. Speaker D: Two D6 plus mine, plus orders. Speaker A: Three. Yes. And then you let you roll an extra D6 for your bonus die and use the two highest. Thirteen. All right, so one. So that's a mighty success. Speaker D: So I'm gonna use the. The goggles that I have made. I'm gonna turn that into a focus. And then with Holly, figure out what would work best as a focus. A ring, a pendant, a tattoo. Speaker A: She said it has to be a physical object. So you. So tattoos and stuff. So it's whatever you want to, like, carry or hold. It has to be, like, attached to your body in some way. I'll say with that mighty success, you would be able to use your goggles. Speaker D: Okay. Speaker A: So this would be for me to inscribe and. Speaker D: The frame without popping out the lenses and doing extreme damage. Speaker A: Yep. That would be tricky. So, yeah, I'll say that with your mighty. That's what we. Your mighty success would allow that. All right, so while you figure that out, what do you guys. And then I know Doc wanted to spend. You wanted to craft stone. Speaker C: Yeah, I'm just looking at the system so I don't have to take a bunch of our time figuring out the system. Speaker A: It's probably just downtime project. Or is it something. Speaker C: Yeah, I had to go. I'm looking at the Every one book. Speaker A: Because it did say. Speaker C: Because there's common, uncommon legendary inventions. But it's very open. Speaker A: Yes, that's the whole point. So it's your voice. What are you trying to. I guess an effect. You're trying to. Because I guess these are inventions. So what kind of effect? Speaker C: Kind of where you have, like, healing properties, but those are outside of combat. It'd be nice to have something that we can use, like inside of combat or somebody can take their time to, like, drink it, create the traditional healing potion to get immediate effect. Speaker A: Or. Speaker C: Or a stem where you can drink it, like in combat. And, like, for that combat, get a bonus die or a bonus plus one to a stat or something for a fight. It'll be like an adrenaline shot. Speaker A: Temporary. Yeah. So to do. Yeah. So on the uncommon you can get a plus one to an attribute or combat ability and that's two dp. Or if you want to do a plus one bonus to like all those or increase the skit and increase the scale of an ability. That's 4DP which I don't know. Speaker C: I could do common or uncommon. What's. Speaker A: How do you turn on the DP is. It's. It's just project point. It's based on your career that you're using. So you would have two. So if you wanted right. So or you. Or you spend like two weeks to craft like okay two per week. That's what I'm doing. This one is supposed to be between adventures. But that's not like. So I just say you can do two DP work. It'll work in a week. Or you can. You can spend XP to. For one more 1 XP 1 DP. So if you wanted to burn 2 XP or if you have enough role play the role play points, you can turn those into XP which you can. Speaker C: Then spend it with my alchemist. Could I do. Could I make some special bullets bullet load. Speaker A: So you can. So an uncommon invention. You can increase weapon. You can do a weapon increase damage dealt by one step. Speaker C: I might go through and just spend however much time we're spending before going and just make a whole crapload of ammo for the group. That's just like different loads instead of the traditional powder. Like something that's gonna hit harder. Speaker D: With. Speaker C: A mind to make some for your buffalo rifle. Speaker A: What would you guys want? Speaker C: Would you want try to step up damage or get something healing or. Speaker B: What'S that? Speaker A: They both. Speaker C: Killing stuff faster is always good. Then you take less damage. Yeah. Some of your bigger shots. Speaker A: Yeah. So if you want to I say you'll be able to affect weapons but not necessarily their ammo. That would be like a legendary type invention to make alchemy stuff that you can or something or I allow it for like the combat encounter. Speaker C: For how does it affect the weapon if it's not. Speaker A: That's just making that like. So they have so uncommon invention. You increase damage dealt by one step. So whatever. So it goes up to the next step on the try. If you want to do a weapon or if you want to do ammo. I'll say it's something that you douse the ammo with before on that or during combat. And then for like that encounter your MO does like your gun to do like the next step for whatever mo. Whatever gun. Mo Type you poured it on. Speaker C: Because I could do it to the weapons themselves. Speaker A: A weapon. Oh, yeah. Speaker C: Want to try to boost your crazy rifle and just use it as the. It's the. Please hit with the cannon. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: What's the next step? After game after step two. Scale. 2. Speaker A: It wouldn't be scale. Is that so his is a D6. Is the. The damage on the gun. So it goes to the. I think it's probably D6. H. Yeah. Yeah. If you do. Scale is a legendary. Speaker C: Okay. Speaker A: Thing. I believe. Double checking. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: I didn't understand how the scale stuff works. Speaker A: Stuff that's scaling something makes it like way stronger. Speaker C: But if it's already a scaled weapon, how does that work? Speaker A: Right. So scale. It only matters if comes into play with their lifeblood or resolve or their protection. Speaker C: But he would still get the benefit. Speaker A: Of the H. Yeah. They stepping up the damage. Yeah. Scale may get. Speaker C: Counter maximizes your damage, which would be a big deal. Yeah. I said let's do that. So we can have something that can take out big targets really hard. Make it the elephant gun. Speaker A: Yeah. The big monster gun. Speaker C: Yeah. I'll spend my time on that then. Speaker A: Okay, then. Yeah. You'll just need to do a roll. So do it 10 or better to make this. Yes. Special gun oil. Speaker C: Okay. This is alchemist and mine. Speaker A: Yes. 12. All righty. Speaker C: I come up to you and be like, hey, can I see your rifle? I'm gonna buy one of those rifles myself, but I'm going to do this. The oyster. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: I'd be like, look, if I break this, I'll give you mine. But I just want to try something. I sit there in front of you, just tinker with it. You see me, like, concocting some stuff. Just whatever you point this at, make sure it's something you want dead. Speaker E: Always. Speaker C: I just have this little flask. I wear gloves when I put it on. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: You don't worry about this. Speaker D: The fumes, they smell like. I never smelled anything like that before. Speaker B: It makes it better. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: You don't plan on being pregnant or breastfeeding, do you? All right. Because then we're okay. Speaker A: Not allergic to it. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker D: When we were in the library, I came out with an occult blade. It gave me the tingle of a. There's a little antlin on this, but I never found out what it was. Speaker A: Oh, that. That has to be the. The destructor. Speaker C: That's a good name for a blade. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: It came with the mask, and I gave the mask up And I. I kept the blade because it felt like there was something special about it. Speaker A: Yeah. If I remember right, it. It does like double damage or extra damage to const. Yeah, it's. It's a throwing knife but. And does scale 2 damage to construct golems. Otherwise it's just a D6L plus strike with a 6 meter range or 6 range increment. So you're throwing it. So if it's with 6 meters, you don't have to. You don't take penalties. All right. Speaker D: I'm still trying to figure out what took that second focus out of. Speaker A: Depending. Speaker D: On what it was. Yeah, it's a throwing knife. I really don't want to make that focus. Speaker A: Yeah. I was gonna say Ollie would like look at the magic items and like she'd be like, that's beyond your skill. Trying to turn that into a focus. Speaker B: Right now. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: See, I'm running through everything from a feather to a scorches coin. Speaker B: There you go. Speaker D: Which would probably be beyond. Speaker A: I mean. Yeah, that is. And that would definitely be. Yeah. Speaker D: Or just a coin or a bullet. Speaker A: Something that she recommends like rings or necklaces. Metal. So. Because if it gets destroyed, it's destroyed. And she was. She's not like super thrilled about your guard. Like she likes the idea, but at the same time she's like looking at these like leather and glass and it's just kind of like, you better get in your bacon too kind of deals. But yeah, she recommends like metal or like wood. Like durable, more durable materials. Speaker D: And you got a lighter. But I could see somebody taking that coin nail. Got some gold nails left. Speaker B: Go shopping and find some. A ring or something you like. Speaker D: Metal ring would be hard to lose. Speaker A: And that's. Yeah, that's like what she recomm running into bandits. Speaker D: It's like, okay, I can't blow you up here. We're surrounded and I'll take you out. That's nice ring. Speaker A: But I mean you could get it like a brass ring or like she like it doesn't like. Or just like iron or steel. Yeah, she does, lady. She even says like, you know, iron's pretty good. Especially if you start messing. Find yourself messing with fake creatures. Which it kind of sounds like this. I don't know. Did you. Would you have talked to the about the scorches coins with her? Speaker E: Some. Speaker D: Especially if I pulled it out and said this would make an interesting focus. Speaker A: Yeah, she would. She'd be like, that sounds like a fake creature. Make it. Speaker D: Get an armband out of iron. It could be reshaped. So that would be one of those. Just the bands kind of like the. Speaker A: I guess, like the. A fork. Yeah. Kind of thing. But you can, like, kind of like. So it's kind of like strands of iron, like, kind of. So you can, like, kind of twist out and, like. Twist. Speaker D: Yeah. Take it off and then use the focus to change it into a blade if need be. Make sure not to screw up the whole point of it being a focus. Speaker A: Oh. So, yeah, she would. She would explain. It's essentially the focus is what, like, absorbs or blocks the corruption. Like, that's. That's its whole purpose. Until you've learned enough, like, words of power from me, shoot it. Like, so it's. It's just there to protect you. You won't. You won't want to, like, wield it or anything like a weapon. It's usually dangerous. Speaker D: It's just in the pinch moments, she's like. Speaker A: In the pinch, you just use your magic. And she's like. And. And like, I guess. And like, this would all, I guess, be talking about over the week issue, like, learning and like, on, like, the. Near the end of the week is when you actually, like, do the ritual and stuff. And then. Yeah, she would. And then she's, like, been around talking with you guys and, like, just observing the world that she's like, you probably just, like, make your hair catch on fire, like, look like flames. I mean, it's. People scatter. So I wouldn't worry about needing it for a weapon or anything like that. She also kind of, like, chuckles and it's probably good. You probably seriously effed up if you're in that kind of situation anyways, or you're trying to use your focus for a weapon. Speaker D: And nervous laughter. Yeah, you're probably right. Speaker A: And as you've spent time with her too, you know, you come to realize that she's, like, extremely intelligent and it's very well studied in magic and particularly necromancy. Speaker D: Could I. Let's see. My sorcery is at a 2. And mine is at a 2. Could I use my XP to bump either one of those as we're learning, or would it all be focused on the creation of. Speaker A: So if I don't. I don't think you have enough to do that because it's. It's like the current value plus the new value is what you pay. So it would be like. Like five to get to sorcery. Three would be like, well, I've got six xp. Oh, yeah. Speaker D: Everything I got, I just burned my rp. Speaker C: To. Speaker A: Oh, they get like two more. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Plus the other two. And then that's true. Yeah. So you could. And since. And. And I'll. And it is allowed by the rules because your project you're working on does include your career. So you could bump that up to three if you want to burn your 5 XP. Speaker D: Okay. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker E: So much. Speaker A: The two. You know, these guys completed like three or four adventures before you. I actually. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker B: I was sitting on one. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Use it to go on adventure three. Speaker A: So. Yeah, like. So like Wes, if you want to like bump one of your careers or possibly a combat stat, you could. Speaker C: And how's. Speaker E: How's the calculation work? Speaker A: It's the current value plus the new value is the cost at xp. Okay. Speaker C: Can I do like strength as well. Speaker A: Or is it only your career around that you can do the abilities. Let me double check. Yeah, I need. I might have the careers. Might be actually easier career might only be 3 points. Read the advancement. Oh, here it is. Yeah. Advancement. Let's see. Proven attribute. Those are the expensive ones. I know that. Yeah. So that one's the current one plus the new one. And that's. Speaker C: That's the strength, ability, mind appeal. Speaker A: Yeah. Combat abilities. Is. Is the same. It looks like. No, it's just. Let's see. Mainly from one to two cost three. Yeah. So that's also. Combat abilities are also the same. So it's the old one plus the new one. Careers cap out at 5, which I don't think anyone's close to yet. And. Oh, this one. To increase your career, for example, fire up from rank one to two cost two xp. So it's just the new cost. So but you. But for Audrey. Yeah. So you wouldn't have to burn that much. You'd have to only burn three of your six. Speaker B: If I go, is it five or. Speaker A: Is it for your career? No, it's. It would be. It's the new spring box. Speaker B: Just three X. Speaker A: Yes. And you can. And so you can only do that one like you guys only do. You can only do one level per gallon time. Yeah. So like you'll actually want another adventure to do a new stat. But. Speaker C: So my alchemist for Include couldn't have. Speaker A: Been doing XP unless you're going to advance your Altimus career. Yes. Yeah, you get one or the other. Unless you're. What you're advancing is directly related to your. Yeah, that's in chapter seven, page 19. Speaker C: So to go from two to three is just three ones. Speaker A: Yes. For a career. Speaker C: Yeah, that's fine. Speaker A: And if you wanted to create. So you could use that. That point you have. Because that would give you. You'd have three points. So you could make a common invention too, during the week if you want. Speaker C: Oh, got. Speaker A: So if you wanted to make a healing pot, you could. So that looks like. Yeah, you could heal a D3. Okay. Speaker C: How many of those would I have? Speaker A: That I will say. Yeah, See, that's the. That's the weird thing with this. They don't have a thing for consumables. Let's just say your career level for. For now. Yeah. So you'd make. Yeah. So you have three of those. Speaker C: And then I roll. Speaker A: Yes. And. And this is a. What to say. This is a moderate. So you just need to plumb. Yeah, yeah. So you got three. And you can also pick up new careers too. Or they just. If you get a career zero, it's just one xp. I don't know if there's an actual limit to careers. Unless it's like, I guess you can have 5, 6 careers on your character sheet. So we'll just limit it to that, which is a ton of careers. Speaker C: Character's not really good at anything. Just does a lot of things. Speaker B: Yep. Speaker D: All rounder. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker D: So with the. A cold book that I picked up that you said might be worth a level in professions. If I use it, can I give that to somebody else if they wanted to get a. A zero or to start. Speaker A: Yeah, it would be another. A downtime thing. So that would be after. Since that's like essentially the level up that would be after another adventure. Yeah. No, but. Yeah. Yeah, everyone. Speaker D: It just means I can pass the book around. So if somebody else wanted to pick that up, they'd be able to. It's not that as I'm reading the pages, they burst into flames. Speaker A: No, it's. It's a bug. A few line books. I'll pay for that. Those. Your gun oil. You made some money since the center. You'll make. You made three, I guess three applications of that oil to bump gun damage. Of that, I guess will be good for a day. Okay. Speaker C: I'll just give you the things so you can use them whenever. Speaker D: You just have to make sure they're absolutely, totally not coming back today. Speaker C: But I'm just gonna. Unless somebody's a really good shot, I'm just going to give them all to him with the crazy red. Speaker E: This is a good shot. Speaker C: The buffalo gun. If anything or whatever you want to put it on. Speaker E: Do you need a shotgun? Speaker A: Yeah, I was gonna say if there's any guns, you If Cat. If there's any gear Cat wants, you guys can just get it. Because I'm in Docs pretty loaded crossbow. Speaker D: That shoots flaming arrows. Speaker A: It's pretty cool. Speaker D: It's probably going to be my default. Speaker A: No. Speaker B: I use the seven noises of poison to put on bullets. Or is that more? Speaker A: I would say if you want to. I'd say a dose. You could dose your bullets for the. Speaker C: Day. Speaker A: Since they like burn it off. Speaker E: When we were doing. Speaker B: For a knife. Speaker D: Get your front and back. Speaker A: You can use them for knives or you can like throw them on people. Kind of did. Yeah. They wouldn't really work on bullets. Yeah. Unless you wanted to like make. Make custom rounds like in like hunt showdown where you have like the blast capsules or whatever. Speaker B: Maybe later. That sounds like a harder thing. Speaker A: That'd be an uncommon invention. Probably. But I think you leveled up. Speaker B: Yeah, I level up my inventor. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: So yeah, probably. Speaker E: I'll show you that. Speaker C: Before I gave. Speaker D: You the mask knife was with it. You strike me as the type of guy that'd be throwing. Speaker A: But since you've leveled. Yeah. Build it here anyway. Speaker E: Is that one called. Speaker D: I think it was called Destructor. Speaker A: Yeah. Deconstructor. Speaker D: It does double damage if you're going after a construction. Speaker A: Other than that, it's just a D6. D6L and it's scale two to constructs and golems. So scale two means it would go. Speaker C: Up to D6 heavy or high. Speaker A: Yeah. It would be two. Yeah. If one of your fight. When you're trying to fight gold. So assuming their lifeblood's not scaled up and then it may counter it. So you're still doing like your full damage to them while everyone else is suffering out. Speaker D: I upgrade the writing saver. Speaker A: Yeah. What's your credit rating? Speaker D: I was up to three after the fight, so I'm probably back down to two. But I got a bag of jewels that I would use to. Speaker A: Yeah, I'd say yeah. You could afford a silver saber then. Which. It doesn't change any damage or anything. You just have the. It's just silvered. So. Speaker D: It just tells me that if I hit something that really doesn't like silver needle and thread. So the shroud into my duster. Speaker E: Oh yeah. Speaker B: There you go. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker B: You guys are melee, right? Speaker C: I am. Speaker D: UG leans that way. From the first system that we started, he had way more grit than he had. Speaker B: I'd split up the seven potions. Like I give cash four and then I have poisons 2d6 damage for the day for melee. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: For the day. Speaker A: Yeah. You can cut your weapon, like all day. Speaker E: That's plus two. Speaker A: Six damage. Yeah. Speaker E: Holy. Speaker B: I'd give you four. And then I'd give Audrey three because they don't work on mullet poison and they do two sick. Do two D6 damage per day. Speaker C: To work on your bullet, get the blender bus. Speaker B: But I have to make them the. Speaker C: Special oil and dip it in the freezer. Speaker B: That thing in particular to make glass cap ones. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Don't accidentally cut yourself. Speaker B: I don't know. Speaker A: The libraries. Speaker B: Not yet. Speaker C: Three of those. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: And put it on the raft. Speaker B: Put it in the water. Steel. Speaker A: This is everyone done any. Speaker B: All their crafting they needed? I think I'm done with everything. Got all your shopping by a second round of clothes. Same make, same model. Speaker E: There. Speaker B: Yep. Want to slide into town all muddy and gross like the first time? Speaker A: Can't we come back? Speaker D: That one is special bag. Speaker B: Keep it sealed. Yeah. Speaker D: Audrey's liking that idea. He's gotten used to the finery. Just about got messed up. Probably some linen wraps cover the inked arm. Speaker A: That's right. Speaker B: Your ink. Speaker C: That would be against the. Speaker A: The ankle. Yeah. Speaker C: Kill him. Speaker D: But let's mark all the way up. Speaker A: That's right. That ankle, maybe. Speaker C: I don't know. Speaker D: It's not a construction. Speaker A: I don't know if you guys had that or not. I don't remember. Speaker D: Oh, we didn't at that time. Speaker A: Yeah, that was. Speaker D: If someone run into it. You get to throw your knife first. Speaker A: I'll try it. Speaker C: That felt like. Speaker A: It feels like it was ages ago. Speaker B: No, no, I haven't found the reason to spend it. Yeah. Speaker D: Sorry. Speaker A: Oh, that's fine. I was gonna say if. If we're all done. Wait. You guys basically have six days on trains. Do you want to spend any time at any of the cities that we're going that you'll. You'll basically. You. If you want, you can spend a day and hop and catch a train the next day. Or you can. That's basically essentially get transferred to another train as you get there. Speaker B: Jock. Speaker A: Then we have to dog. Speaker B: That's how urgent. Speaker D: And I'd be talking to the pack. Depending on how close they were. Speaker A: They. They would tell you that basically It'll take them 10 days to get up there. But you guys have already spent a week. So they actually, like. They would basically tell you that we're like three days. Three days from the lake. So they're waiting for you. Or they'll be like, we'll be there. Speaker D: Be there. Unless you're Smelling elder right on the wind. Speaker A: So elder, right, is basically when you guys want to go find it. After this adventure, you'll be able to like. Speaker B: Yeah, we have to clear out that goldmost. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Start building stuff. Need a smithy and a forge for. Speaker D: I was gonna say that's a pretty good fortified location. Speaker B: Need a forged in a lab. Speaker C: So I'm start building place for our undead friend and brains to hang out. Speaker A: Say the branch pretty much communicated. Yeah. For the most part, they're super happy with this library, but they'd also would like to go out and see the world again. Speaker B: Put a robe over on. Speaker D: That's kind of like putting the robe. Speaker C: Over a balloon, right? Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Speaker C: You have to stack them all up. Speaker A: Well in one row. Speaker D: I was thinking of three wispy robes. Speaker C: Traveling there. Speaker B: Everyone at night. Wait till whatever. Speaker C: Halloween celebration. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker D: Don't move very fast. Let's take a little ground so it looks like you got feet. Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. So I don't know if you guys want to stop there or if you just want to go, but essentially, no. Six. Speaker B: Days on training. Speaker D: I'd imagine that rations here are a whole lot cheaper than rations here, but we don't. Speaker C: We have, like, a million rations right now. Speaker D: No, that was. Speaker C: That was the other guys. Speaker A: I say. Yeah, you guys never really. Because you've been. You basically have been running with the pack, which they've always provided food for the day. Speaker B: We should probably get some rations. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: We're about to go behind. We'll be at a war zone, and. Speaker A: There may not be much. Speaker D: Well, that there's also. You're a merchant, a trader, A failed trader. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: So if we bought this here, how much you think we could make for it there? Or could we use it for barter. Speaker C: Some rations on the horses? Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Speaker C: Put them in a rings. Speaker A: Yeah, I was gonna say, I assume you guys, like, you've, like, collected this stuff and, like, go into, like, some dark corner and pop out a horse and, like, load it up and then put it back in there. I'm assuming you guys are doing that for everything you can't carry. Speaker B: Oh. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker D: If you pass the test. Trust me, the spiders weren't bad. That last one was a doozy, though. Speaker B: My last one wasn't. Speaker A: All right. Yeah. So you guys would get your. Your rations. How much. How much rations are you carrying? I guess. Or by how much do we need? A week or two? That's kind of up to you guys. Speaker C: Couple weeks of, like, a ration a day. Speaker A: Yeah. Well, this. Well, what we'll do is like we'll. Oh, if you buy a weeks of rations, I mean that's going to be like three meals or whatever. So we'll just say rations are like good. Like one ration is good for the day. Like we'll just keep it simple. Speaker B: Should have put your box in margarita like donuts room in the library. Speaker C: It doesn't work, unfortunately. I asked about that. Speaker D: We need to go both ways. Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. It might let you in one way. Speaker B: Teleport to the donut. So. Speaker D: Handiest thing I ever ran into in a game scroll A town portal in Diablo. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Before we leave, would you want to leave the box in the library for us to travel back? Speaker B: That'd be your call. Speaker D: Some fun putting it on the horse. Speaker C: I'm just thinking that in the ring. Speaker D: And then go to visit the horses. Speaker B: I'm sure we could sleep for the night. Speaker A: You might have a H. But you. Speaker C: May not be able to come out. Speaker A: Yeah, I was gonna say you're in there now. Speaker B: I don't think you draw straws every night. Guess who has to sit out with the rain. Never ask us to be safe. Speaker A: Why the one guy swap between which horse you put it on? Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: I was thinking we have to cross back across the lines at some point. With my sister, if we find her. Whereas if we got her, we can make a quick escape. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: Because all we have to do is find her then. And then teleport out. Speaker B: Might be easy. Speaker C: In fact, we could get put in jail with her. As long as I had the ring. Speaker A: We can teleport out. Speaker D: That's true. Where would you like to leave it? In the library. All the way back around. Speaker C: Well, Anton is probably the safest place. Speaker A: True. Speaker D: Depending on the state of your sister, she's should be hard to get out. But that'd be a good place to. Speaker C: Get help because we could. He had room in his office. That's where I stashed it when we ran into the library. Sorry. When we went to hell. Speaker D: Nobody call it hell. Speaker A: I mean other than the library, the books. Speaker C: I think we should leave it on this side of the world. That would be the safest place. Is probably Anton because he won't ask questions. Speaker D: He'll be curious to know what we find out. Speaker C: Well, he'll ask the good kind of questions. I'll just arrange with him. Be like, okay, we're gonna go there, tell them why we're doing it. Speaker A: No, he's. He's 100% fine and on board with having to go get your sister. Speaker D: It's A great conversation piece. It's like modern art right there in the corner of the office. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Yeah. So. Speaker A: Unless you guys want to stop at any of those, we'll just speed run. Basically six days by train chugging along, traveling morning for set. Well I guess you, you, you do guys exchange trains at each place have. Speaker D: To fill it full of water every. Speaker A: So often so you eventually arrive up here. Do you guys want the descriptions for each place as you ride through or do you just want to save that for another time? Speaker D: Is there anything eye catching or important for these locations? They kind of blend in. Then it wouldn't, Audrey wouldn't notice it. But if you think it's important, maybe. Speaker A: A general tail code. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker C: Like if there's landmarks that. Yeah, we would see the train description. Speaker A: Yeah, that. That's essentially what it is. I'm not in la. Yeah. Yeah. So Wilford, as you're moving through this bustling city, baroque spires, grand decades reaching towards sky like outret arms. Glass lanterns cast out glow glow over the tiered streets illuminating throngs of people rushing to and fro with a. There's about 50,000 people live here. And then you notice like there's a quiet sense of dedication. You know there's a lot of people that there seems to be a lot of I guess promotion of striving to be people trying to strive to better themselves. And those around scholars you see lots of like scholars locations, city gardens, green spaces. Maybe you know that there's. This seems like a place of like that encourages learning and betterment of oneself as you travel through up to Serenity river. Bustling city, brick buildings rising like sturdy sentinels from the earth. Airs alive with the hum of industry and gently lapping of water against the shores. Glass lanterns glow with soft pink light over the cobblestone streets, illuminating the network of bridges that connect the city's various districts. Yeah, as you walk but you're not walking as you. I guess as you walk between the. To the next train. The rhythmic clanging of hammers and the murmur of merchants fills the air symphony of progress and prosperity. Every brick laid in every lantern. What seems a testament to the natural order of growth and abundance. The city's vitality feels like a blessing, its rhythms and sounds weaving together in harmony. And you get the sense of the people here like it's alive with life and they're going about their days with purpose and determination. Speaker D: So that's here? Speaker A: Yeah, that's this place. This one here. Okay. The next one. Gray flats sprawls across the coast. It's 50k. Inhabitants live in defiance of the church. The city's floating log cabins seem to hover above the waves. Their wooden wall is weathered to silvery gray that shimmers in the cold white light that emanates. Speaker B: Every corner. Speaker A: The air reeks of salt water and smoke as the city's inhabitants go about their daily business. The cold white light casts otherworldly glow on the seas. Twisted beauty illuminating the intricate network of wooden walkways and rope bridges that connects the floating cabins in great flats. The boundaries between sacred and profane are blurred and the city's inhabitants revel in their freedom amidst the chaos. Opportunity of balance and those willing to take risks and find fortune and glory in the cursed city by the sea. And then the next place is Tomb Wood. You stand before a forbidding silhouette of tomb woods vertical tower. Its wooden beings weathered ghostly gray that seems to absorb faint moonlight. The wooden structure seems to loom over you at silence palpable presence that beckons and repels in equal measure. The towers wooden boards seem to home with a sacred harmony. A haunting melody that resonates deep within your chest. The air is heavy with an unsettling stillness as the towns. As if the town's 25k inhabitants hold their collective breath in reference. Flickering torches cast Irid shadows on the tower's surface like dark tentacles reaching for the sky. Whispered of the town folk speak of ancient secrets hidden within the tower's walls. Guarded by unseen forces that permit no trespassers. So that's this place. Now we get to Far Flats. Which is the first town that is Worthmoor. Foreign? Yep. It's only like a day's ride from the front. So this place is very much like wooden buildings looming like specters under the sickly glow of warm white lanterns. Glowing runes etched into door frames seem to pulse with the Neville of energy. Casting an eerie light on the war torn city. Air reeks of stagnation and the smell of rotten decay cling to everything like a bad ome. The residents shuffle through the streets gaunt and weary as if the very life's being drained from them. The city's wooden structures seem to sag under the weight of neglect. Boards worn smoothed by time and hardship. You see lots of bullet scars and broken windows all in a silence that kind of like an eerie silence hangs over the place. There's lots of soldiers here like. Kind of like the medic medical place from the front line. And then Rathbanks is not a whole lot better. Then you guys get stuff off the Train here. Muddy streets. There's only about 10k people here. Kind of feels like they're trapped in a cycle of war and agony. You can definitely tell that there was once a thriving frontier town here. Now it's scarred and battered. The streets stretch across like small islands connected by rickety bridges that creep beneath your feet. You see yellow willow wisps that are just like kind of floating around, giving life in the darkness, casting eerie shadows, yet seeming scented, dance just out of reach, taunting you with the promise of hope to escape. Then like I said, then there's. The lake's calm waters seem out of place amidst the chaos, its surface reflecting the sickly yellow glow. The willow is like a morbid mirror. Can't help but feel it. The wrath banks as a city slowly dying. It's people waiting for some unknown force to set them free from the limits. From this limbo. Air is heavy with the weight of desperation and the only sound is creeping of wooden plates and the distant lapping of the lake. Many of us, for sure. Okay, so, yes, you guys are in wrath banks. Now. Speaker D: About what time of day night do we go on? Speaker A: Oh, you guys, I guess can decide that. Speaker D: And which side of the laker the. Speaker E: Pack will turn you up. Speaker A: They would be on the far side unless you were like talking to them and want to be them somewhere. So. Yeah, so I guess that's kind of like up to you where you want to like ride out and meet them because they won't come. Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Coming to town would be like. Speaker A: Yeah, because like pretty much there are like residents here, but the vast majority of it is like wounded soldiers and soldiers getting ready to head to the front line because the trains are constantly coming up with supplies and fresh bodies to throw into the grinder. Speaker D: You want to try and find a ship? Speaker A: Yeah, let's get a boat. Speaker E: Then we can go across the lake, get your whatever. Speaker C: Yep. Speaker D: Once we figured that out, I'm gonna. Speaker C: Go ahead and go find the boat. Speaker A: Yeah. So you. You would just. It would be. It would be pretty easy to find someone that would be willing to take you across. In the lakeshore district, you'd have no trouble finding someone take you across for. Speaker C: Some trail there be to find somebody that would sell this good money. Speaker A: Yeah, let's sell you their boat that. Speaker C: Maybe somebody trying to get out of the area looking for another leader. What's that? Or to take us up the river. That's what he's talking about. We found somebody that would take us. Speaker A: Across the river to go meet the pack. Right. That's what you guys are doing. Speaker C: Oh, yeah, that's just across the lake. Speaker E: But I'm saying through the battle lines. Speaker A: I'll just say if. If you. You could make. Actually, wouldn't you guys give me an appeal rule? Speaker C: Okay. Just. Just appeal. Speaker A: Unless you got a career that I guess would have helped you. Speaker C: I could talk to people and be like. I could leverage on my doctor skill to be like, hey, I'm a doctor and I'm assessing my skills. Can help on the battlefield, but I'm going to need to, like, go up and down the river to visit sites and kind of lean on some heartstrings. Speaker A: Maybe an area. Speaker D: They're not going up there. We need you right here. Speaker C: I'm not part of the army, though. What's this? I don't know what the state is as far as them conscripting people. Speaker D: Yeah, I was gonna say it's. Speaker A: They're. They want volunteers. But, like, if you commit a crime, you go to the front line. Like, you guys. Like when you guys. Because you guys escorted those one guys up to. Oh, like forever ago from Rattle City when they had robbed the train. Like, those guys went to the front line. Speaker D: They might run into them. They might hair die. Speaker B: Yeah. I find him there. Speaker A: Oh. Speaker C: Flash the boy. Speaker A: Any pel. Speaker B: Riders? Speaker A: There probably would be. And maybe I would. I would leave that up to unappeal. Most likely they would be. Oh, there would be some in here. Speaker C: All right. This is a straight rule. But I don't know if the doctor story would be something I could add. My doctor skill in a war zone. Speaker A: That would be. Yeah, that probably wouldn't help you here because they would want you to, like, stay here to treat people. They're not super concerned about field medics. Unless you wanted, like. Yeah, okay. Or they would direct you to. Speaker C: There's the not good one. What's that one? Mine's just the one. Speaker B: So. Speaker C: Is it nine for success? Is it nine for success? Speaker A: Yeah. What would you. Is it. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker A: So you're looking for someone to take you up river or to flat out buy their boat. Buying their boat would be. That would just be like, very easy. If you wanted someone to take you up the river to be your pilot, that's going to be tough. Which would be 11 plus. Speaker C: Would it be hard for us to. Speaker A: Pilot the boat if you don't have a career in it then, drifter. I would allow that. Yeah. I would say that. I'd say that would be fine. That would be more than the rest of us got to drive a boat okay. Speaker C: Be like, I'll make you a deal. You can't refuse. Get your money to get out of here. Just buy your boat. Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. To buy their boat. I'll say that'll be a credit rating. So it'll reduce your credit rating by 1. But you can buy his boat. Speaker C: All right. You guys good with that? Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. All right. Speaker C: I'm no longer filthy rich on this bridge. Speaker A: You'll get it back. I gotta sell the boat afterwards. Yeah. Speaker E: There you go. Speaker C: Yeah, maybe if it's still there, we'll see how the trip goes. But I want a nice boat. Okay. Speaker D: So once we get to the town we need to get to and get. Speaker C: Your credit rating back. Speaker A: I was gonna say what you learned about abandoned gate. Either you either need to like infiltrate stealth most likely, or you'll want to pretend you're slave traders. Speaker D: Is it a purely human outpost or is it like a monster? Speaker A: It's a more monster outpost. And you learn that like that's the Butcher's headquarters. Yeah. Because it contains one of their troop slash slave portals. Speaker E: Slavery now. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: We could be the slave driver. And the rest of us could be your slaves. Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, only for that. Speaker C: Yeah. It's gonna be interesting. Speaker A: Okay. Speaker C: Save ourselves a boat and a driver. Thank you. Speaker E: I'm about to. Speaker B: Hit the signs. Speaker C: This need to be a big enough boat to all the. For you for the future at least tag along maybe occasionally one of them. Right on it. Speaker D: Pretty big. Speaker E: How big are these things? Speaker B: They're pretty big. Speaker A: They almost killed us. Yeah. So you guys, I guess take the. Get your fire boat and you cross the river. Speaker C: Perfect. Speaker A: So that is essentially. I just looked at the scale and it's. That's actually a huge. Or a huge. It's about 25 miles, 20 mile journey. So you'd spend the day traveling and arrive there like earning more. Need to hang in the smoke. Yeah. So this one is like unnaturally calm. It's weird even when it's like, you know, with breeze and the like heavy rain. The lake is unnaturally calm or difficult or feels that way. Yeah. So we'll introduce the pack and then we'll call it an close. Speaker D: So stay your gun. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker B: Their friend like don't worry about you lock these things. Speaker A: Oh yeah. So as you say like him as you're. Yeah. As you get there, like nothing. You park the. I guess I'll say it's like one of those. I guess like flat bottom like river boat barge thing. It won't. The part the talons won't fit on not all of them. You can put like one on there. It's not super big. Speaker C: So they could rest. Speaker A: One could chill out. Chill out on there. Oh, but yes. Yeah. So as you're. You're parking off, you tie it down, disembark good quiet wooded over here. And then all of a sudden and like, quietly, it's like almost just like appears there. You see a large dog. Like, it looked well, dog shape. Roughly about. About seven foot tall at the shoulder. Four eyes, bony plates like armor. It look kind of looks like a mammal and reptile were like grown or bred together. They got huge like, almost like dinosaur like type claws or tail. They have like bony kind of like spikes on them too. And their tail is like. Has tons of like exposed like hard bone. But you see the house seem soft and fluffy. You see this come out and just walks like straight up to Audrey and kind of like nuzzles his chest. And you hear like this deep like rumbling. And then it looks at you and it almost sounds like talking. And then. Yeah. Lapu asks you, who's this? Who? This. Speaker D: New member of the pack. How was hunting, like, asking about his. His trip up. Speaker A: He just goes, productive, tasty. Speaker D: That's the best hunting I find. Speaker C: The one that I helped his face get healed. Speaker A: So none of the rest have come out yet. Speaker C: Oh, oh, okay. Speaker A: So just. Just the single one that's come out yet, this guy's on our side. Speaker D: And then I'd ask him, it's like, do you want to meet him? Speaker A: Yeah. Meat. Oh, yeah. Meat. Cash. Yeah. Speaker D: In which case I cannot walk over cash. Speaker A: Yeah. And when you ask with one if they're on our side, the big one, it turns and looks at you in like this weird like rumble that's kind of almost sounds like laughing emits from its throat. Speaker E: Well, Jacques's not shooting him, I guess. Speaker B: Fine, great. Speaker A: But yeah, then he introduces you. It kind of does like this like head b, head bob thing kind of thing. Speaker D: LA will be acting as our guard. Speaker E: I feel safer already. Speaker D: So why. If we didn't have the boat, I feel safer riding in with. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: With them than I would. Speaker E: Don't know why we need horses. We got these. Speaker A: And then like after you like introduce them, you see the rest of the ones you remember come out. And then five more. Speaker D: I granted, I look. You've done well. Speaker C: Just hear me whistle. Speaker D: Are these from a different pack that have joined you or. Speaker A: You get, you get, you get kind of images of them picking up like, I guess you get the sense that they're. They're young ones on training hunt and they look a little bit smaller, but not really. Speaker D: So they're five and a half feet at the shoulder instead of seven feet. Speaker A: They're. Yeah, they're. They look younger and they don't have nearly like. Not nearly as beat up looking as like Lapu or like because he's like. Has lots of scars. And some of the other ones do. Especially the one that got shot in the face by Jaques. And the other one has like burn marks on it, scars on it from Doc. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker C: I would go up to those guys and just kind of say, how you guys doing? Speaker A: You'd get like the kind of like the rumbling laugh. Speaker C: I pat him, you know, friendly. Speaker D: And then as. As we're getting acquainted, I bring upon what our plan is coraling to say that way. And I, I nod over intoxication. But it's a rescue mission. Speaker A: You just get. You get the. What's the word? I guess you get the sense like that's also why there's more here. And the confident answer of like, we'll get you to the door. Speaker D: I can't go for the aid. Speaker A: We are we. And he just. We follow Guest now and like Wes too. Like. Well, like he has this conversation like I don't you speak out loud, don't you? Or when you do. Or is he just generally. Speaker D: I speak out loud because I'm not used to speaking. Speaking in my head. They are. Speaker E: I. Speaker D: It's a link. Speaker A: But. Speaker D: I'm stressed and under attack. Yeah. We could do it in head. But other than that it's more of a relaxed. So you catch half the conversation. Speaker C: I hear your half. Speaker A: But as. As he's talking to them, you actually hear there. There's actually like some like vocalization going on and then you can. And then as you like watch as they're talking and like watching Doc and I don't know if Jacques interacts with them at all. Not too much. You a little sk. Some sort of intelligence. Speaker B: I drop one. Speaker D: That's about as far as you get in that conversation. Speaker C: Yeah, we managed to hurt them, but they're pretty tough. It would take the elephant gun to do anything to them. Speaker B: Meaningful passing down. You can just sleep on them and ride through the night. Speaker D: Which we did record what about five days distance and two or three just sleep. Speaker C: We might be able to park the boat upstream. We'll see. Oh, it's a big. Like the boat that you used to go almost all the way. Speaker D: If we get in there, we park back to the mountain, which honestly does seem like the the best way to go. Speaker C: We just need a finder and have enough time. Takes about a minute to do the process. I think it was a minute. Speaker A: Yeah. Where the heart's done left. Who will introduce the new five ones next? Speaker D: As, as the conversation goes on, I kind of point out the ones that we do know. Speaker A: Okay. And they're all about using all of them. Speaker D: Got that same height. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. They get introduced by. Do you have all the names? Speaker D: I wrote them down as far as Tahoma, Chosun, Mosi, Kente, but I don't remember which one got flamed and which one got shot in the head. Speaker A: Mosi got burned by Doc and then Shogun got shot in the face by Jock. So I think Chogen would actually come up to Jock and like bump you and try and like knock you over and then like chuckle. Speaker D: Kind like dual warriors fought each other. Led to tell the tale. Speaker A: That's very much like the essence of that, I guess. Did we learn something new and important about the world? Speaker C: A bunch of the cities. Anything about Carousel? Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. All right. Our two point overcoming monster. No. Speaker C: I don't know how tough was that riddle for for you. Speaker A: But you didn't overcome. Speaker D: But you got some fruit out of there. Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. The fruit is maybe the notable loot. Speaker C: Yeah, that's actually. Speaker A: Yes, that is true. Speaker B: The medallion does. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker A: Oh, yeah. So yeah. I definitely say he got some memorable treasure. So. Yeah. Another rp. Did we solve a problem without violence? Speaker D: Yeah. Cash didn't shoot any of the hell out. Speaker A: Yeah. I'm finally that rp. Sure. Any particular low lights, highlights? Speaker D: It's just come before that. Speaker A: Yep. Yeah. Speaker C: Yes. Speaker B: Shopping centers. Speaker A: Yep. Little bit of arch. Yeah. Travel. Any new long term goals? Yes, something I, I, I'm gonna figure out how to worship Carousel. Love it. Speaker C: I love that you're an acolyte of Paris. Speaker D: It's like one interaction you might want to buy yourself. Joke book. Yeah, exactly like dad bonus. Speaker C: I might actually buy one and bring it here so that I can have. Speaker E: One in character that I bought to. Speaker A: That would be amazing. Speaker C: Oh, that's funny. Speaker D: The holy book of Carousel. Yeah. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: It's just dad jokes and puns. Speaker E: Let's see. This is a difficult decision. Let's see if I can find wisdom in the book. Speaker C: Amazing. Speaker D: So this is what I'm lacking. I need to fix the jackalant and this is what I need to do. Speaker A: He, I guess he also would have told you. Yeah. He would have told you how to fix a Jack o' lantern. You need A pumpkin patch. Speaker E: Pretty good. Speaker B: Pretty good. Speaker A: And then what was the other one? Oh, the. The cake. It was made. It was a marble cake. Speaker C: Oh, my God. Speaker A: All right. Yeah. Speaker E: I don't feel bad for not getting these. Speaker C: Although your guy might have gotten the marble one. Speaker E: Yeah, that's true. Speaker A: No, that. That's why. Yeah. Yeah, I could. Yeah, that's too. I want to make sure, like, when we're. Like when you're Rping stuff because I guarantee, like, characters aren't going to have the abilities that you're as a human as you as your real person does and vice versa. So I definitely want to make sure you guys know that when it comes to stuff that. That you can. You actually use your character stats for that kind of stuff. Okay. And then plans next session, remember? Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. Speaker B: Most likely. Speaker C: All right. Over the river and through the woods, but not the grandma. Speaker D: And there could be a discussion with the pack is like, do they want to just stay on one side of the river? Are they going to divide between both sides if the barge is only big enough to hold one. Speaker C: Well, I feel like take turns. Kind of fun. Yes. Speaker D: But is that a swimming or do we have to go over and kind of. Speaker A: They would probably just tell you that they're probably just going to run the bank on both sides and basically eat anything that gets in the way. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker A: Now we may. If you guys are interested and want to be roll encounters, you guys could play the packs for some fights if you're interested in doing that. That would be wild. Mixing character sheets here. Yeah, that's. Unless there's anything else you guys need to do for next. Heading up the river to Abandon Gate and get through the portal. Well, that news for me is I. Speaker C: Have to miss the next two weeks. Where are they from? Wisconsin. Speaker A: Nice. Speaker C: I mean, not nice that you kept me going. Speaker D: We understand you need to go study with Carousel. Speaker A: Well, yeah. I mean, that. That's up to you guys too. Speaker C: I would. I would like to have Wes here for that. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Trip out. Speaker A: So. Speaker B: So there's a lot. What could happen to that? Speaker C: It's a big. I don't know. Yeah. It's a big story. Speaker A: Be. Speaker C: It'd be nice to have you here for it. Speaker D: Yeah. Speaker C: If people are full f my. Speaker A: Yeah. This is your guys's thought. I don't. I don't mind about what KO you gave. Speaker C: I like playing all of it. So it's. I don't mind waiting up, but that's okay. Speaker A: That's it. Speaker D: Well, it's kind of nice. We're picking up war from both. So I don't mind. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: I do like that you're kind of doing these like. Yeah, yeah. Both are fun. Speaker A: All right. Speaker C: You feel that? Speaker A: Yeah. So we'll do your scum next two weeks. That works for me. Speaker D: Way too many teeth in this party. Speaker C: That's right. Speaker A: That character. My guy will be honest. Yep. Cash is two guys. They'll be out and then you'll need to pull up another guy. So you guys all have two. Okay. But I'll. I'll post that in a minute. Yeah. Speaker C: I wasn't sure if we were picking up new people. Speaker A: Are. I'm the way the system. You guys will always just have two guys. You're still fragile. Yeah. I mean, every scripted. Speaker C: Another guy. Speaker A: Yeah. Well, depending like, if you run into like the law, like, the shootout's going to be freaking brutal and one guy might survive this. Speaker B: Yeah. Speaker A: Or the whole gang might. Okay. Speaker C: Corral. Speaker A: Yeah. So. Boom. I just want to stream stuff. So do you like Frontier Spells? Yeah, I've learned. I learned that it's based off Mort board. So, like, I could see that actually. Or at least it's in. I think it's mapped pretty. Like the stats and stuff are pretty close. So it's like, well, maybe I'll get some more books or Pirate board only someday. We'll play Sea of Thieves. Speaker C: Once. Yeah. Speaker A: I was not all that impressive, to be honest. Really. Speaker C: Maybe it was just overhyped for me. But I'm like, I didn't think it. Speaker A: Was doing anything unique or special. It might not be. I don't know. But everybody's seen people rave about it because what. I mean. Yeah, that's my thing. Yeah. That's everything I've seen with Mork Bork too. But it is the. This. I guess the standard osr, like, high lethal. Speaker E: Yes. Speaker A: System. Speaker C: I like Frontier Scum, so I can see how they're. Speaker A: It's pretty similar, honestly. Yeah. Speaker C: Maybe it's just the setting that didn't work for me. I don't know. Speaker A: It could be. Yeah. I don't. I don't know anything about pirate boarding. Speaker D: That's when you tweak the setting. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker D: There's a lot of systems I have where it's like, okay, I want to steal this piece out. How do I apply this system exactly? Speaker A: Well, if we do. When we finish with Stavicola, which I guess is mostly going to be up to you guys, or if we all like, party Wipe or something. Or something. I'm probably. We may play Dust Bowl Galaxy for a few sessions. Just to see. But I don't after reading the rulebook again I don't long term why that doesn't look that interesting. But I'll probably do all three without numbers books into one since they're all compatible and it'll be the core set or the. I guess the. The primary book will be started out Numbers and we'll be doing some sort of space based adventure with with probably some sort of like Zerg invasion happening on top of whatever else is going on political wise. And then we'll use Perilous Void to do all the most of the generation of planets and star systems and stuff and probably alien races. And then you guys will all have to make up our race. Speaker C: That Sectors Without Number site is pretty good for generating random stuff. It has a pretty pretty deep catalog of randomization. That's pretty cool. Speaker A: No. Well I I. The Perilous point is even more ridiculous. It's got a lot more stuff built into it than stars. And then you guys will actually all end up generating stuff in the sector. Speaker C: There's a a guy online who has a Discord for Stars number that he's been running a game for years and it's really interesting for like just random how do you do a thing. And they've done it like because they it's all RP through. Some of them do it online but then some of their stories RP in the Discord chat. It's like. Yeah. It's like iron. Yeah. If you just look up Discord Stars that number like those it'll pop up. It's iron something. But there's their stuff's ridiculous. Very big resource for that system. Yeah. The others looked really cool but their space combat needs everything. It's pretty dumb in my opinion. Tried to make an RP thing out of space combat. It's just confusing. Yeah. Speaker A: It's kind of weird. We may just use like everyone's rules for that. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker A: I was gonna say I don't know. Speaker C: Of a system that has good space or vehicle combat. Speaker A: Honestly. Speaker C: They're trying to make it like everyone has a role in the ship and interplay but it gets really clunky really fast. Speaker A: No, we may just use everyone for that part and just change the stats because it's everyone seems to be. I'm liking this system more and more. Speaker C: Less than stars like you. Your whole party can get annihilated in your ship really easily. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker C: Really easily. Speaker E: Tpk. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: You're most likely to get killed in a ship. Speaker E: Yeah. Speaker A: Off the bubble. Yeah. Speaker D: Space. Speaker A: Yeah. So yeah, we'll see how that goes. But the sector stuff, that's partly why I want to use Perilous void to system agnostic. So if we like if stars or you know, the without numbers stuff is annoying or just we can just move to everyone or we'll just freaking go dungeon world in space and go ham. Speaker E: Cool. Speaker A: Yeah. But. Speaker C: Yep, I told them I leaving. Speaker D: My job this last week again. Speaker C: Yep. The nature of the thing changed and was not freeing up my quality of life someday not to be working 60 plus hour weeks. Speaker D: You're like a deep sea diver. You jump in and you get 60, 80 hours a week as you sink towards the bottom and it's like why am I not swimming up anymore? Speaker C: Well that's kind of what I told. You know, always joke the safe void would be whiskey when it's time to exit. You know. But.
