Speaker A: Fun game. You're all low level fiends trying to level up basically and become like arch demons. But it's a cutthroat. Tough world out there, Right. You gotta bargain for souls and you owe other people all. All the big demons money or souls all the time.
Speaker B: You mean the charisma stat has purpose?
Speaker A: It's tough to get ahead of that.
Speaker C: There'd be a lot of PBT in that one. How many souls you got?
Speaker B: It takes three souls before you can ante up at this table.
Speaker A: Well, you can have a mechanic where like, if you kill them, you just get like their soul. If you bargain with them, you can get more souls. So you almost want to kill them, but not fully. Like put them in a position where they're so weak they're still alive and they can strike a deal.
Speaker C: I get 10% of your soul.
Speaker A: There you go. Leave me that dragon soul and I'll let up.
Speaker C: We're going to tell him, the big guy, about how you ran around in that dress for three weeks.
Speaker A: Exactly. And he's going to make you lick toilets.
Speaker C: That's right. For a thousand years.
Speaker A: The scope of time would be enormous.
Speaker D: Right.
Speaker B: So you're saying the goal is to set up your pyramid scheme in such a way that.
Speaker A: Actually kind of reminds me of paranoia. I've never played it, but I've heard about it where you got the whole point of the game. It's a ttrpg and you guys just screw each other over all the time. Constantly. It's a dystopian. Just like backstabbing.
Speaker C: Those are some of my favorite stories. When the table doesn't cooperate.
Speaker A: Yes.
Speaker E: Wow.
Speaker A: Because it is very interesting and so.
Speaker C: Many of them involve a paladin. The paladins piss off the rest of the table.
Speaker D: You know.
Speaker B: They'Re kind of a dark paladin where, you know what, these are open to interpretation.
Speaker C: Right.
Speaker B: I'm still true to my creed, but.
Speaker C: I really want that. It's like the one where the. They had a bunch of authors sitting at a table and. Chris, is that Perkins, the D and D guy?
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah.
Speaker C: He led it with these authors at a table. And they were like trying to steal some artifact or something. And they had this palette. It was just playing full paladin part. And they had a rogue and it was pissing the rogue off. They're in the middle of combat and it was like, I'm gonna take the item from like. Rather than save the guy. The guy was in trouble. Rather than save him, he's like, they're like, oh, you're in a position to save him. He's like, okay, I'm gonna steal the artifact from him. And then I leave, like, leaves him to die and like, runs off in the combat.
Speaker D: Explained his part.
Speaker C: I don't think the Paladin died, but I think he survived.
Speaker B: Well, that just gives you a great story arc of revenge to follow without Paladins going back for the artifact.
Speaker C: He comes back as the dark Paladin.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker A: Wouldn't want to see that.
Speaker C: Yeah, that's his secret goal is to kill the dude.
Speaker B: I don't know.
Speaker D: That could be a kicking play.
Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, it'd be fun to play in character. They be like, who?
Speaker D: Which one was it?
Speaker B: Dolphin Rising or the Gamers. Yeah, where they left a guy on the battlefield and he comes in a.
Speaker D: While if you have.
Speaker A: I don't know.
Speaker B: Have you ever seen that?
Speaker C: I confused them.
Speaker B: It's the Gamers or the Darkness Rising.
Speaker C: And all those. I mix those up. I always forget which one's which.
Speaker B: They're in a tavern. These guys command me. The Barbarian, he wants Dwarven ale. You realize how strong that is? And he fails his role. He's down the road, goes over to order wine for the rest of them and he decides he's going to test his skills. So he robs this guy blind at the bar down to his pants to see if he can do it. I got his pants. And as he's he's doing that, this big armored guy comes in and it's a guy they partied with before, and they left him for dead on the battlefield. And he is looking for revenge.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: The Barbarian can't passes his test to wake up. But he hasn't seen the Rogue. So by the end of the scene, the Rogue is backstabbing with a Melissa. I think that's he's playing a girl.
Speaker C: He keeps walking out with an actual girl and him just dressing the same outfit. Yeah.
Speaker B: And the part at the end, just dying. He's got somebody filling out character sheets for him.
Speaker D: Are you ready?
Speaker A: See if we can get out of here.
Speaker D: I don't know.
Speaker B: Put the neck of it so we can live forever.
Speaker A: That wasn't the deal.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: Library progress will go over. Make sure my numbers match here. Guys's too. I don't. I might have missed some. I got cash at 26.
Speaker C: I have 27, but 26 could be right.
Speaker D: No, I have 26. 27, I'm good.
Speaker E: No, I have mine. That's 26.
Speaker D: Okay. Yeah. Let's see then. I Have. Okay, so you're at 26. Audrey. Looks like I have you at 23. Yep.
Speaker B: 2230.
Speaker D: Yeah. Doc at 21.
Speaker A: 20.
Speaker E: 100.
Speaker A: Nice.
Speaker B: Wait a minute. Where's that 21.00?
Speaker D: Oh, yeah, sorry.
Speaker C: It was a flo.
Speaker D: Oh. And then I guess just a reminder. And I don't know if I've mentioned this for Wes, but, like, when I ask you guys, like, questions, like fill in stuff for the lore or whatever. As long as you're following, like, established fiction here, you're totally fine to like, make stuff up and then I'll correct or change as needed. Of course, probably in like next session or something. But yes, yes, I'm Doc's. Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Speaker B: My history is a little fuzzy.
Speaker E: How old is Cash?
Speaker D: Maybe I'm a. I don't know.
Speaker A: Maybe it's the elderite that makes him so strong for his age. But he is very good at melee from being what I envision was an older man. Maybe he's not that old, you know.
Speaker D: Hey, Kobe. Like, I'd be like, I don't. Like, I'm indifferent If he's like 60. Remember from that picture you posted?
Speaker A: A lot of time in the sun.
Speaker D: Yeah. I was gonna say. Or you're just a lot.
Speaker B: We haven't really said how long you're. I mean, we got the months. It's like nine months, three seasons.
Speaker D: Yeah. It's like. I don't remember how many days are in our year in the calendar total. It's like 27 times nine or something like that.
Speaker A: Most of the years are. I would. I would talk in Earth year age, though.
Speaker D: Yeah. Oh, yeah. 100%. That's. That's our reference for everything. Is just generally like our standard.
Speaker A: He probably is like late 50s, I would say. So it's a combination of. He is. He's not young, but he's not super old.
Speaker D: Yeah. Not like fragile.
Speaker A: Yes.
Speaker D: Like maybe coming off the. Like. And he has peak or he has.
Speaker A: Had a rough physical life so far. A lot of time in the sun, but a lot of manual labor too. He's kind of mostly in manual labor.
Speaker C: He's.
Speaker D: He's been used.
Speaker A: Yeah. He's probably got aches and pains. And then I think the elder. Right. Probably is giving him a little more strength than usual.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: You're enhanced.
Speaker A: Yes. That's part of why he craves it.
Speaker C: Because he eats it.
Speaker A: Well, I broke my tooth when I'm trying to eat it. I just gotta suck on it until it dissolves. It takes a long Time. It's like a dip. He just puts it in this.
Speaker C: It's like gravel. It's like sand.
Speaker B: You can see your way around in the dark. You've got that glow patch.
Speaker D: Pretty much. Wood. Ve start changing. Veins start changing. Going purple.
Speaker A: He's. He's in it. He's elder. Ride or die at this point.
Speaker D: See? So last time, Doc woke up in Parasol's abode.
Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
Speaker D: Interesting conversation when he got back to the party. Believe my gas?
Speaker C: I couldn't see. They couldn't see what was going on, but I could. So I was, like, explaining, but it was like I hadn't existed. So for them, it was weird because it was instantaneous.
Speaker D: Let's see. Yep. So then you guys, like, went through the calculation. Oh, yeah. You guys were in the calculation engine. Doc told some party what he experienced. They were confused. Spend more time with the engine and earn more progress. He went to a dissection theater with a. The octopus had his humanoid dissecting. An octopus. There's a great ovarian and family watching. Then he went to the phantom database. And that Stinker.
Speaker B: Oh, we left him alive.
Speaker A: It's not like you're on the hey list.
Speaker D: Yeah, but we left him in a vault first.
Speaker E: Turn it. It's brutal.
Speaker D: Then you guys chased Stinker. Or I guess he ran. Stinker ran off.
Speaker A: Somebody's gonna eventually open that vault, look at the treasure, and they're gonna find a turret. A humanoid.
Speaker E: Not gonna care.
Speaker B: Didn't his vault get ransacked before he was left in there?
Speaker D: No, I think you're the only one that went in there. And I don't think anyone took anything out.
Speaker E: Not going back.
Speaker D: And. Yeah, because he told you he goes. He could help you find books. And he ran off. So you guys chased him, like, twice.
Speaker A: For believing him. Twice.
Speaker D: The holding pen. And then he found a storage vault where he locks. Tinker got locked inside. And then he went back up to the holding pens. Where you saw Red the librarian having an argument with researchers about power management. And then you went down to a mausoleum. Took a nap in the morning, I guess because there's no time in the library. Don't know, because you're always indoors. You met Ollie. A lost soul of Ollie. Necromancer. Commanded usage of a body. Talks very unhappy catch of consent. Ollie raises their own skeleton is inhabiting it. Then that's where we have left the hall. What room are we in? You guys are in. Oh, yes, that's right. You guys are in a museum. So there's like, Large star and sarcophagus. 35. Yeah, you're in 35 too point two, I guess. Yeah. So there's the giant weasellium that had all these skeleton in it. And then yours. So you guys are so deep that you're just like in the maze like network of largely abandoned passageways. There's dust like over everything and the books are so ancient as to be almost unreadable. The librarians rarely come here.
Speaker C: Books of dead languages.
Speaker D: Yeah. So yeah, you guys are there with Ollie, I guess. Yeah, Ollie. You guys, Ollie is trying to get out. She'll help you if you guys can get.
Speaker A: And Doc is not happy that we have.
Speaker B: Yes, he's a lifesaver. We have had a lot of peaceful moments with anything supernatural. You got over there. The hounds sort of. You got over the hounds sort of.
Speaker D: They're not said. Anytime Doc says that's like. Or makes references to Ollie, like being undead or saying something's not dead. Always just says, I'm not dead either.
Speaker C: Doctors don't respond. He's already had this debate.
Speaker A: He's more like a theological to the hip. Let's go down here. All right. We slept. We just woke up, Right?
Speaker D: Yeah, essentially. Yeah. It's morning time.
Speaker A: Right.
Speaker E: I think I need to go back up.
Speaker B: Is there anything else in the sarcophagus that we need? That all the things we should take with us?
Speaker D: No, I think there was a cloak in there that Ollie is wearing. I think that was it. Oh, there was a gold. Like a pen made of gold filigree.
Speaker A: We have that. Good though. Just a nice gold pen.
Speaker D: Yeah. At this point.
Speaker B: Ollie's got dibs. I mean it is technically.
Speaker A: I have a visible ink up there if you want to fill your. Maybe we can do something with that. Yeah.
Speaker B: Enchanted up around level three.
Speaker C: What makes it show up.
Speaker D: Or.
Speaker A: Nothing. It's just. It's so useless.
Speaker D: No, it was. No, I think you.
Speaker E: I don't remember.
Speaker D: Did any of you write with it?
Speaker E: No.
Speaker D: We have pen.
Speaker A: Yeah. This is the first pen we found.
Speaker C: Don't you taste it?
Speaker A: I think so.
Speaker B: Just make your tongue.
Speaker D: Where's the hell.
Speaker B: A way to learn the language? Drink the sink.
Speaker D: So you guys are heading back up to 34.
Speaker A: As we're heading up, Cash is going to try to fall back with Jacques. So we're slightly out of either shot, at least from Ollie because he reckons Jacques is the most dangerous member of the party. Hey, Jacques.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: This Ollie fella. If he. If he gets us. If she gets us in trouble with the librarians. I Got no qualms whatsoever with just flipping on her and turning her in so that we don't get busted.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: So far, since we don't know much about her.
Speaker A: Just keep an eye on. That's my. That's my grand plan as far as I thought ahead.
Speaker B: While you're having that discussion, Audrey would be trying to talk to Ollie. It's like trying to get more information about the situation. Well, learning.
Speaker D: And then.
Speaker B: Old enough to either be pre orzine or close thereabouts.
Speaker A: And I don't know that. So.
Speaker B: So be part of Audrey's doing research.
Speaker D: Yeah. So as you guys come back, you're making your way back into the holding pen, which has got the huge glass, like, bat, like a fish tank with the topper. Yeah. Copper tubes connected to the rest of it, the library's plumbing, and like a little single hatch on one side. And there's like phantoms floating in there. And you. Every. Occasionally you'll see one, like, get like, sucked out and some, like, arrive. Yeah. So as you guys are coming back in there, you see five obsidian, like mana sets. Like little statues of monkeys made of interlocking shards of jagged black. 12 damage blast appears up there. Made by a master artist who merely teased out the monkey shape necessit in the stone. Was that there before? No. And as you. As you walk in, they all turn and like, look at you and make like, monkey noises. Like, making monkey noises. Like they're surprised to see somebody down here.
Speaker C: Are they made of stone?
Speaker D: Yeah, they're. They. They're made out of obsidian. Oh, volcanic glass. Yeah.
Speaker E: No.
Speaker B: Are they pinned to their pillars?
Speaker D: No, they start like. Yeah. Like, when you walk in, they're kind of like sitting on a bookshelf. And you walk in, they kind of like make surprise, like, monkey noises and like, kind of like dash around, up around, climb up on, like, bookcases and stuff.
Speaker B: But always reaction, you know, walking around with a spirit might be setting monkeys off.
Speaker D: Oh, well, she's in her skeleton that's like wreathed in green flame, wrapped in her in a cloak, which is a.
Speaker B: Whole lot more supernatural than forward western guys. I can see how I say, don't mind them and just kind of passing through it. Oh, crap. We set off the alarm system. Let's move a little quicker.
Speaker D: No, I see it's just says, you know, don't like, harass them. You should be fine. They're just in here like. And you can see some of them. Yeah, he surprised them. So they're just kind of like. They're like Watching you and, like, making annoyed noises.
Speaker A: Hand on my. My bag of goods I don't even take.
Speaker D: But they're. Yeah, they. They seem. And you guys were being savicola.
Speaker E: What?
Speaker D: I've seen, like, monkeys before. These ones are just made out of obsidian. They're watching.
Speaker A: So we're back at 34.
Speaker D: Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So you guys went up there.
Speaker A: Is it possible to go horizontal but up we have to go through the ceiling.
Speaker D: Yeah, if you want to. Yeah, if you want to go, like, up. No, you can only go. So if you wanted to go, like, horizontally, you'd actually have to, like, smash through the ceiling and then go. Go back, find and then go into a new location. Because when you break through the ceiling, you're in between locations. So that you could go. I guess you could keep going. You would go up to, I guess, a new location above you. So you would go to 33. Like, 1. If you smash the ceiling.
Speaker A: You haven't actually done that yet. Is this the time where we start smashing through the ceiling?
Speaker E: I bring it below.
Speaker B: Was there another door?
Speaker D: They're all.
Speaker B: The doors. They're down.
Speaker D: They're all. Yeah, they're always like. So just. Just the way this. Like, functionally, the way this place works is. Yeah. You're always going. You're either going down or up, and you are going back. But since where you're at, you have no go back. So you've got to break down to create a back. Yeah. You go to go deeper and hope maybe you find the staircase that goes up somewheres or. Yeah. Or you go through the ceiling and go up into a new location.
Speaker A: How hard it is to go through the ceiling. I will wet a wall, crawl up to the ceiling, start mining through it, and I'll check out the room to.
Speaker B: See if there's another door anywhere.
Speaker D: So there. There always is. Like, you can go, like, deeper infinitely from one location. So. Yes. If you want to go down to 35. Three, then. Yes, you can. You can.
Speaker B: But finding the stairway up.
Speaker A: There's no stairway.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: Because we've already been in here.
Speaker D: Yeah. You essentially know this location. Yeah. So Cash climbs up Ollie. Interesting. So that's certainly handy.
Speaker A: It's really actually pretty go full.
Speaker D: Like, the monkeys are kind of, like, watching you and kind of, like moving to, like, the edge of the thing. And they're not making as excited noises now. It's more like this strange person doing. Yeah. So you just start smashing through the ceiling.
Speaker E: It doesn't.
Speaker D: It won't take you long because just to remind you, that the. You know, the library is entirely indoors. There's no windows, no signs of a theoretical outside. Oh. And then. Yeah. Unless otherwise noted, you can assume the floor is made of aged wood boards and the ceiling of plaster. So it caches mining expertise and a pick. Smash through quite quickly into the. And then smashed up into the floorboards.
Speaker B: Please don't be underwater. Please don't be underwater.
Speaker D: So.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: So I will straight into a spirit tank, roll this up and see what. What's above you guys.
Speaker C: You're screaming.
Speaker A: We try going to hell.
Speaker B: At least we know the door out.
Speaker C: You just have to watch. It was like Minecraft. You see little orange drips.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yep. So Cash. Yeah. As you smash through the. The ceiling and then. And then through the floorboards, you come into a small, well furnished tea room. You see comfortable chairs, low tables, cozy to one side. There's a T. Tables against the wall with food and drink and china wearing cutlery.
Speaker A: Oh.
Speaker D: Oh, it's three times. Okay. Yep. So as you see cake, sandwiches.
Speaker B: And we haven't found food since.
Speaker D: More sandwiches.
Speaker E: Better than I packed more sandwiches.
Speaker D: Yep. So a lot of sandwiches and cake.
Speaker A: I. I crawl in, drop a rope down.
Speaker D: I'm sure that you guys have. I'm sure you know someone.
Speaker E: I just assume we ride on horses.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: It'd be in the saddlebags.
Speaker D: Yep. You might have to pop a horse out. Yeah, we'll say that. If. If it's not on your actual character sheet, that wheel, we'll assume it's in the saddle that's on your horse. Oh, Cash doesn't know about these things.
Speaker E: No.
Speaker B: That's gonna be another.
Speaker A: Well, no rope up here. I don't know.
Speaker E: A really long sandwich.
Speaker A: I'm gonna eat a sandwich to gain my strength and then I'll figure out.
Speaker E: What'S really said their sandwich is.
Speaker A: Okay. There's so. There's so many. There's even more than I first saw.
Speaker E: Better than our can of beans.
Speaker A: I have not. I. We are truly blessed with bounty over the cry.
Speaker E: There's room. I would just summon my horse if we need room.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Where you're at.
Speaker D: Because you guys are in the museum piece again.
Speaker E: Be like, see how this works.
Speaker D: All right. Now you're in the data.
Speaker E: We're in the monkey room.
Speaker D: Yeah, you're in the data. The phantom data bank room. That's right.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: There's room. I mean, you could just go like down the end of the book stacks. Yeah. The horse will fit.
Speaker E: Chuckles comes in. At least I hope he does. I don't Know how it works in here?
Speaker D: Yeah. So I guess cash, if you're. If you're.
Speaker C: I'm like looking through the hole.
Speaker D: Yeah. You see, you would have probably noticed too, just because you're a prospector, that all of them have an. A very nice, like, silver ring on their hand. They're all like identical looking and then actually like, what is it? It has a stone in it too.
Speaker E: I don't remember.
Speaker D: It did. Yes.
Speaker B: It was like a garland, a red stone or something.
Speaker A: I don't know.
Speaker D: What that thing is called. Why does that silver ring. Oh, there it is. Yes. Oh, Opal.
Speaker B: So we're in with Opal.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. So you would see, they all have this galloping horse.
Speaker E: Yeah, it didn't have the galloping horse wasn't on it.
Speaker D: But yeah. So you just see Jock, like stick his hand out and like the opal closed fire. And then like right next to him, a horse pop and just appears.
Speaker E: You know, black horse.
Speaker B: Horses.
Speaker E: Hey, at least it worked. Make sure he's okay.
Speaker D: You would because that the ring does let you talk to your horse, essentially.
Speaker E: You all right, boy?
Speaker D: Where am I?
Speaker A: What am I doing here?
Speaker E: Bonuses from being in the library not growing anything.
Speaker D: No, it looks. It looks just like you're supposed. It looks like you're chuckles just chewing his like, cud like he has just yoinked him out of a pack skin.
Speaker E: Dig out the rope. Yeah, I got my rope. Like, well, see you later.
Speaker D: You just hear. You'd hear like, like, yeah, I guess you would get many flashes of like, contentedness and like endless pasture. And other horses, they always leave them.
Speaker E: In there better than all.
Speaker B: Yeah, we're all going to die.
Speaker C: Just make sure all the horses are put away.
Speaker D: Yep. So, yeah. You got a rope now? Yeah.
Speaker B: Audrey's wondering if we need to sell all the horses and fill saddlebags full of sandwiches.
Speaker E: Sandwiches.
Speaker A: One of them is like a turkey club. Is this fresh tomato.
Speaker B: How do they even.
Speaker D: So, yeah, as you're examining the food, it is all like fresh and good looking.
Speaker E: Some librarian is going to come in and be like, my luck.
Speaker A: I. I lower the rope down front, tie it off because like a column, throw it up beam something sturdy.
Speaker D: Yeah, they'll probably so that they can.
Speaker A: Get up and I'll help them get up if they need help.
Speaker D: All right. Yeah. Once you guys give me agility roll to the bonus dice of cashes. I say strength or agility is fine. Either one spawn.
Speaker E: What's the bonus?
Speaker D: The bonus die. So you just. So it's like you three dice. And you just take 2, 12, 8, 9.
Speaker B: Audrey smells food.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: From the determination.
Speaker D: Yeah. So Audrey and Jacques climb up, no issues. And then RP9.
Speaker C: See this look on my face and throw a hand. Mechanic.
Speaker D: Yeah. If you guys get up there, Ellie gets up too. Oh, yeah. Ellie just actually just like, floats up.
Speaker E: I was wondering.
Speaker B: Oh, I was kind of curious on that too.
Speaker E: That's nice.
Speaker A: We all got our secrets.
Speaker B: Audrey delivers the rope. Or Ollie. This is gonna be fun.
Speaker D: Ollie and Audrey, they say Ollie would have commented to. And the horse popped out and it was like, oh, that's certainly handy.
Speaker E: Yeah. The gift from Orzine, huh?
Speaker D: Yep. He sounds interesting.
Speaker E: Very much so. Very old.
Speaker D: Maybe we're someone talking to you.
Speaker E: Get him out.
Speaker A: All right, let's look at these sandwiches.
Speaker E: I'd mention the church and be like, oh, the church put them in there a long time ago. Just to see what all he has a frame of reference.
Speaker D: All I'd be is like, who's the church?
Speaker E: How old is the church?
Speaker D: The church is roughly, like a thousand years.
Speaker E: Bang. Bingo.
Speaker A: That a long time. You.
Speaker E: I'd do a brief summary and just be like, oh, they're these people.
Speaker C: What's the name of the light being again?
Speaker D: What, like Mithros.
Speaker E: Mithras.
Speaker C: Yeah, I just mentioned that. Like, you heard of Mithras?
Speaker D: Nope.
Speaker E: Who's that? He's been down there a while. Or she's from somewhere out.
Speaker D: Oh, yeah. So when you start describing some of that stuff. Oh. That she would like, may make reference to, like, other religious bodies that you guys also have never heard of. But then she goes, I don't think we're from the same place.
Speaker A: Right. We're talking about the same entity, but from a different dimension.
Speaker D: I'm from Fractera.
Speaker E: What's that? Where is that?
Speaker D: Another planet. Interesting.
Speaker A: Floor. 33, right?
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker E: 33 1.
Speaker D: I guess I'll update that too. So I don't. And you guys, like. As you're, like, kind of looking around in here. All the books are erotic poetry. No, that's not. But. And then you notice.
Speaker A: I understand what you want to do.
Speaker D: You would. You would actually find.
Speaker A: Have a new mission.
Speaker D: If you want. If you want to. If you look. You would.
Speaker E: I'd look through it and just kind.
Speaker D: Of laugh at us.
Speaker E: The room full of.
Speaker D: You would find the. The. The rest of the books of that series.
Speaker C: He found the key room. Our mission is complete.
Speaker E: Yeah. The bird work in here.
Speaker B: We haven't tried yet.
Speaker E: I said, hey, I found the rest of that book series. And d. Desperado. We could send it to Orzy.
Speaker C: Holy crap.
Speaker B: Or if I pull the.
Speaker E: The bird out, I'll just get hooked on.
Speaker B: Would it be able to get bearings? Or would it just be like this room is all of it does.
Speaker D: Are you like. Like, what do you like? Because I would assume the bird has just been like on your shoulder the whole time or did you have stuck?
Speaker A: But I mean as far as.
Speaker B: Because it's a supernatural mechanism. Could it be used like a canary in the coal mine or a compass. Something that would be able to get us out. So if we put books in and I know and we just follow the bird out, if it tries to do.
Speaker E: A delivery, maybe it won't deliver until we get out of here.
Speaker B: Well, that's what I'm kind of curious on.
Speaker C: We're just a little portal open.
Speaker E: Yeah. Stick your finger drops a portable hole.
Speaker D: But you have to stick your finger in it.
Speaker C: Like cuts it up.
Speaker D: Say, I guess cash good. See that they Audrey like out of it, I guess the inside of his coat pulled out. A little clockwork pigeon.
Speaker E: Even the book like real.
Speaker D: But it's all made out of, like gears. And check for librarians.
Speaker E: I don't see any librarians that were like dumb and desperado.
Speaker D: Yep. It opens its mouth and like the little like beams of energy shoot out and they disappear.
Speaker E: Well, we may die down here.
Speaker B: Probably write a note what we found so far. Hope to have more information soon. Sorry the bird can't handle everything in here.
Speaker E: Eat some cake and sandwiches rather than.
Speaker D: The note would get sucked up too.
Speaker E: Make comments about filthy writers. Since it's horrific poetry.
Speaker B: There's some things I don't want to know.
Speaker D: What happened on the range.
Speaker B: Audrey's still pretty young and impressionable.
Speaker E: After you eat too much food, be like, let's keep going.
Speaker A: Next one.
Speaker B: We go up again. Or do we want to go down and so we don't leave like a straight line.
Speaker D: Stop.
Speaker E: If we go down, there's a chance we could find a stairwell up.
Speaker D: Same thing going up.
Speaker E: Yeah, let's just go up.
Speaker D: Yeah. He smashed to the ceiling.
Speaker B: See librarians come to find us while.
Speaker D: You guys in that room. You do. You did notice like a weird, like, ticking sound underneath the floor.
Speaker A: The floor I just dug through.
Speaker D: Yeah. Like other parts of it.
Speaker E: I love the ball.
Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. That's what I thought.
Speaker D: Ominous ticking can be heard bending to floorboards.
Speaker A: Not just me, is it?
Speaker D: Oh.
Speaker B: Breaks.
Speaker A: What if it's that in mind, that might come in handy.
Speaker E: Yeah, maybe you can look.
Speaker B: How about check you're the maker of the holes.
Speaker D: So yeah, you just gotta start like.
Speaker A: I'll try to listen to where it is and then put a hole in.
Speaker E: The floor in the library.
Speaker D: Yeah. As you like start. Like you like listen on a spot and you hear it, but then it also sounds like. And it's like in a different spot. So you like go over there and listen. And then you realize it's kind of like the whole floor in this area is smelling. Making this ticking sound. It's not like a specific spot.
Speaker A: And I didn't notice anything when I dug through it.
Speaker D: No.
Speaker A: Maybe we should just get out of here. All right. I'll wall crawl up and dig our way to the next thing.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker E: Give you the rope before you go up.
Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. I tie it around my waist.
Speaker D: And.
Speaker E: We'Ll find an endless tavern up in one of these. Then we'll never leave.
Speaker A: You. Shock.
Speaker E: Getting drunk down here. Probably about hitting.
Speaker A: End up as a power spirit.
Speaker B: It depends how much you were drinking.
Speaker E: The pub crawl is not recommended in the library.
Speaker A: Two out of five stars.
Speaker D: Oh.
Speaker B: Depends on which po you crawl into. You might find the good stuff. You might find stuff from another planet.
Speaker C: Whole new level of fireworks.
Speaker D: That's true.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: So we're going out.
Speaker E: Trying to figure.
Speaker D: Out.
Speaker E: We'Ll get out of here.
Speaker D: All right. Yes. So as. Yeah. As cash. As you're digging through the ceiling, you come into it a huge steam powered machine that's like built into the wall of this room. Made of black iron, all tubes and pistons and valves. And you see like clear. Some of the pipes that are coming out of it are clear enough to see like phantoms coming in, in and out of it. And there is a single white order librarian standing at some of the controls. Who turns around another calculation. Oh. And yelled at you were like smashing into the. Smashing the floor. And then you sandwich.
Speaker E: You see that sandwich in them.
Speaker D: Run off like out of the.
Speaker A: We gotta go. We gotta go.
Speaker D: And then as that's happening, you see this very large. It almost looks like a crane. Like. Like a diverge crane. Like a. Yeah.
Speaker B: So is this room that we're going into really, really high ceiling. Is it like a miniature crane that they're using for something else?
Speaker D: No, it's a bird. Like a bird crane. Yeah.
Speaker B: So I was thinking is a style of crane.
Speaker D: Oh yeah. Heron. That's the word. Yeah. So. So like. Yeah. So you're up there. Is that this is all happening. Like the rope's still attached to you. Yeah. So this hair, this large heron, long legs, serpentine Neck ending in like a head which is like. Like a human face. And then instead of like wings, it has two spindly arms that end in like wide human like arms with splayed. Now we're in Shrug.
Speaker C: Are they really muscular?
Speaker D: He said any in it convert figures. It goes in like this kind of like. Like a parrot sounding voice kind of. Kind of squawking. You're lovely. You're going to come with me. Where we're on the bottom. Yeah. You guys are on the below floor. So just cat is up there.
Speaker A: Where are.
Speaker D: Add you to my collection.
Speaker A: I'm gonna crawl back down.
Speaker D: All right. So let's roll. Initiative.
Speaker C: Oh, was that 32 one?
Speaker D: Yes. You guys are in 32.
Speaker E: Initiative is what? Agility.
Speaker D: It's initiative. I think it's agility and initiative. Nine Combat. Oh, actually, I think it is mine. Let me see. Start engagement. Well, we already. We don't need. Actually. Yeah. Priority roll. Mind Plus Initiative 11 Whale 12 on the ball, apparently.
Speaker B: So if you scream loud enough, we can all yank the rope and pull you that back down the hole.
Speaker E: Jock heard him say go away. Who are you talking to? Where are we going?
Speaker A: The foot. The fuzz is on. There's a crane that wants to add me to my collection. Let's just get out of here.
Speaker D: Yes. So you guys all got niner bed.
Speaker E: Come away.
Speaker A: Run away.
Speaker B: Go down on the floor.
Speaker A: That's what we're gonna have to do.
Speaker D: All right. Yeah. So at least we will lose.
Speaker A: They will lose the trail. Which you're not directly drilling. Should be harder to find us.
Speaker D: Yeah. So what do you guys want to do? And this thing like when you like cash, when you refuse to like go with it. It's gotten inst.
Speaker A: Yeah, naturally. No, I'll drop back down to 33. And then we want to run and laterally. And then laterally, I think. And then we have to go down again.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Figure. Don't worry.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: So. So this is. So it's combat. So. Or I guess well.
Speaker A: So. Yeah.
Speaker D: So if you're jumping down the hole, like that'll be like your movement and then you have an action. If you want to spend your action to move more.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's all I want to do.
Speaker D: Okay. Yeah. So you can spend your action. You can get all the way down there. So you guys wanted to just straight up flee or you want to engage this thing because you want to flee. Then you'll run like D4 something steps deeper.
Speaker A: Yeah, we don't want to flee. Then we just. Okay, so we have to fight that.
Speaker E: That's all the way, actually. Have we seen the crane?
Speaker D: You see? Yeah.
Speaker A: I mean, there's a.
Speaker C: It's a fatal funnel.
Speaker A: We'll come down here.
Speaker C: What do you say? As you come down, as you're coming.
Speaker A: Down, bird behind, just shoot it.
Speaker D: I immediately.
Speaker C: I'm just like.
Speaker E: Yeah. Then, like, finally. Okay.
Speaker B: Waiting for the brain to close it out.
Speaker E: All right.
Speaker D: Yeah. So you guys all get ready. Do you guys look for cover? Anything? Are you all just. You're in a library? Like, I would be stepping back from the whole conviction. So, like, you guys can find spots to, like, hide behind.
Speaker E: I'd get behind, like, a bookshelf where I kick a table over if he's.
Speaker C: Coming down the hole. I'm just probably near the bottom of the hole where I can still see up, but if something's chasing them, so I can shoot it as soon as.
Speaker E: I see, like, an angle.
Speaker C: But don't worry. I'll wait for you to come down enough that I won't hit you.
Speaker B: Patch him up anyway.
Speaker D: Yeah, right. Faster.
Speaker C: That's how I get it down.
Speaker E: Shoot him in the arms and all down.
Speaker D: Faster. All right. Yeah. So. Yeah. So Cash, you get Ian climb down and then do.
Speaker A: Yeah, I guess I have some action then. So if you want a pistol, I.
Speaker C: Would move with you wherever you can be.
Speaker A: Ready?
Speaker D: All right, so you guys. You two are staying in the open, and the rest of you guys are getting some cover. Yep. So this thing comes and just. It just drops in the hole and then looks, you know, there. Aren't you guys just turned it. It's done. There's no holding action through this system.
Speaker A: Oh.
Speaker E: It seemed like the human face.
Speaker B: I saw something like that on one of my dead old medieval books.
Speaker E: Anyone see it in that D and D manual we found?
Speaker D: Yeah. So it drops down and then what?
Speaker E: Cause it weaknessed.
Speaker D: You see, spots Doc and Cash and reaches out with both its own hands to grab them. All right, so you guys, can you do a strength melee to resist?
Speaker A: Oh, sorry, we're supposed to roll that?
Speaker D: No, I mean, if you want to avoid getting trapped.
Speaker E: Strength, mainly.
Speaker D: Oh, I guess. No, it's. Sorry, you guys are agility. Defense versus strength. Yeah.
Speaker A: Rip that to get a nine.
Speaker D: Okay, so here we have seven. Okay, so he has a 12. So you guys are both under 12.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Oh, it's a versus. Yes, it's an opposed role.
Speaker B: Save your RP12.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, so you guys see this crane. Crane creature dropped out in here? This long arms go out and grab Patch and And dock. And it looks like it's gonna make a jump for the hole to run away. All right, you guys. Back to players.
Speaker C: That was a wholeness.
Speaker D: It's it. It's like it's grabbed you. I'm gonna say both of your guys'I. Would like you guys arms are pin. It's got you good big hands.
Speaker C: Like.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Can I bend my arm?
Speaker D: That will be a roll to see.
Speaker C: I would just like pull my pistol up into its gut and.
Speaker D: Oh, like that. I don't know. We'll just have to. That would be a strength roll to see if you could against it.
Speaker B: Got you at the forearm or I got you at the shoulder.
Speaker D: It's like you're. Yeah. You guys are just like in very awkwardly. So I'll say. Yeah. I'll say. You just have to use strength to try and break out. And then Jacques and Audrey.
Speaker E: If I can see both of its arms, that's where I'd be aiming at.
Speaker D: Both of.
Speaker E: You. Passion.
Speaker D: Yeah. Jacques shots that you guys can have a bonus die.
Speaker E: Oh, a double one.
Speaker D: Oh, that's a calamitous failure. So double one. So I need to look that up. I think you actually might get a hero point.
Speaker E: Then I'd ask Ollie up. She's got any necro powers you like squishing or bind or something? Doc doesn't know how magic.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: Audrey's just like. I really need that focus.
Speaker E: You pull it skeleton out of his body.
Speaker A: Freeze, skeleton.
Speaker B: Congratulations on volunteering to kill my next minion.
Speaker D: Okay. What's Audrey doing getting shot?
Speaker B: But depends. Did he get shot by Jacques? Otherwise he's going to aim for the head.
Speaker D: No Doc shooting at the too much K sugar shakes.
Speaker A: Been a while since he had that much.
Speaker B: So shooting is a agility plus range.
Speaker D: Yes. It's 11. All right. Where are you just shooting its body? Or you're just trying to shoot one.
Speaker B: Of the arms for the head? I figured Jacques's gonna be good. He's gonna be hitting both arms. So I'm aiming for the middle. And I figure if I'm aiming for the hit, the odds of me hitting anybody else are really good.
Speaker D: Yeah. Mr. Mill.
Speaker E: Okay, those triggers crazy.
Speaker B: Last thing I want to do is shoot. Drop your cash. Yeah, but you don't want to kill the doc. You can't heal anybody.
Speaker E: So the doc gets practiced and he shouldn't see me.
Speaker B: Wait a minute. We did that in the one shot.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Did that turn out so well?
Speaker D: No. If you order damage 9.
Speaker E: Not real time.
Speaker D: Yeah. So that's for Both your pistols or is that.
Speaker E: It's 2D6. If I shoot both of them.
Speaker D: So it'd be.
Speaker E: Someone would get five and someone would get four. Should we have. Let's just do six.
Speaker D: All right. So, honestly. Yeah. You clip Josh or doc and caster. 3 points each. If you have armor, too, you can pull your armor. Looks like a D6 minus one or D6 minus four. That's right.
Speaker E: Yeah. Like a chance. That's a very small chance. 6.
Speaker A: So I only take one then?
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker E: Just kidding, guys.
Speaker D: All right, then what? Audrey? What? You roll.
Speaker B: I had an 11 on the attack.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker B: Just got shifted some of the same.
Speaker D: Oh, just one point. Okay.
Speaker B: Enough to shake it up, but not enough to put out an eye, which would be what I wanted.
Speaker E: Doc and Catherine went off adventure, I think.
Speaker B: Well, at least the rope's still tied around Cash.
Speaker E: That's true.
Speaker A: All right, I'll try to get out of here. Done.
Speaker D: Okay. Yeah.
Speaker A: Like an alien as well.
Speaker D: Yeah. You do your strength, mainly. Yep.
Speaker A: Nice. That was my action.
Speaker D: All right. Do you want to move or.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'll try to create some distance at least.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker A: Around the legs. Right. Oh, with the rope. I'm going to trick this thing.
Speaker B: One of those illustrations out of a medieval.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: It goes and jumps. Starts climbing me up its way up the. Up through the hole. When it does that, I put my.
Speaker C: Fist up like this and I call my horse.
Speaker E: Watch out.
Speaker D: Yeah. What though? Your horse? Yeah. So on your turn. So it's. It's jumped up the hole. So, Doc, on your turn, you use your action to pop your horse out.
Speaker C: Yeah, but like, specifically, like on top of this. So I just put my fist up in context.
Speaker A: Recognized horse dropping.
Speaker B: Congratulations to the frag. It's just been.
Speaker D: Your horse pops out on an open spot on the ground. On, like in the room, off to the side. And then you hear that.
Speaker C: I'll be like creature. Tell them that's only hard to take them.
Speaker B: First seconds. Like, where am I?
Speaker D: Kick.
Speaker A: Kick who?
Speaker E: I kick. The librarian.
Speaker C: I summoned a minion.
Speaker B: Is Ollie involved in this fight at all? Or is she just kind of trying to meld into the shadows so she's not drawing attention?
Speaker D: She would. Well, she's kind of watching, but also is involved. I just forget. Maybe she's actually here.
Speaker E: She's reading the poetry.
Speaker B: Getting caught up.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: So. No, she would have. She would have shot the thing.
Speaker E: Desperado 1. At the start of this series.
Speaker B: You want the rest of it? You're going to have to go see yours.
Speaker E: That Price took It out of the world completely. This library. People are just reading it, and it just disappeared?
Speaker D: No, this place just has copies. You can find everything.
Speaker B: Don't ask for much.
Speaker C: Just reading the book here.
Speaker E: Let's go.
Speaker D: My wife's got a hard time doing dragonflies.
Speaker B: Protecting the people of the world.
Speaker D: And, yeah, you see her shoot dark green bolt of energy at the thing, but it goes wide. Then it jumps up the hole and then docks on the horse on his turn. And I guess all. All these. It's back to you, you guys. That would have been previous. What are you guys doing?
Speaker E: Cash, you're gonna have to climb.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'll climb up there.
Speaker B: Did it clear the hole?
Speaker D: Yeah, it's. It jump.
Speaker B: It's all the way.
Speaker D: It's up in the next room.
Speaker A: Yeah. I get up there. So now they have a way to get up.
Speaker E: Okay. Not start climbing up or if Cash is holding.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: I don't know how long it takes me to do it.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: I say you'd be. You could use your movement to get up there. And then, like, you're the anchor.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker D: If you want to use your action to, like, brace the rope. If you want to get.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: All right. Start climbing out. Nine, five. Up there.
Speaker E: Is that my action?
Speaker D: Yeah. That would be your action then. No, we could. That. That can be your movement to climb the rope. Yeah.
Speaker E: My wife should want, like.
Speaker D: All right. Nuts.
Speaker E: Agility plus range.
Speaker D: Yep. Agility in range.
Speaker E: 13.
Speaker D: 9. Damage.
Speaker E: Kneecapped one of his legs.
Speaker D: Yeah. It lets out a loud screech if it's like, leg almost buckles and it, like, turns around. You see it with his long arms flying towards you. All right. What's Audrey doing? What did Audrey do?
Speaker B: If the hole's clear. I don't know. Jacques made it.
Speaker D: He made it up and not out of the way. Okay.
Speaker B: Then he would follow up.
Speaker D: That would be 8.
Speaker B: So 10. I don't think we're adding.
Speaker D: No.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: So just with the agility, it'd be 10.
Speaker D: All right. Yep. I'm climbed up there.
Speaker B: Take a shot.
Speaker D: Fine.
Speaker B: For the other, like.
Speaker D: And all these flying up behind you.
Speaker A: Nine.
Speaker D: Shot goes wide. Looks different. All right. Yep. You see her do almost get, like. Do a hadoukin beam energy shoots out.
Speaker E: Of her hands.
Speaker D: And shoots through the center of it, burning a hole through it. And it collapses onto the big ground. Nice.
Speaker A: All right, we still gotta go. Librarian went off. We're already up here. We might as well go Back to a 33. A different 33. To lose them.
Speaker E: That sounds good to me. The Monkey Mountain. I think we put a hole in the room.
Speaker D: They were already free range. Yeah. Where are we going from here?
Speaker B: 33 2.
Speaker A: We're gonna go back down to different.
Speaker B: One to try to lose them.
Speaker D: Okay. Why do we go back down if.
Speaker C: We just made a hole?
Speaker D: You just go.
Speaker C: What does that mean, going down?
Speaker E: Like, are we going through. If we're in 32 we're going through a door.
Speaker C: Like into a door.
Speaker D: But not through the floor.
Speaker C: I thought you said.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker E: Ran off after Cash. I saw it.
Speaker D: I misunderstood.
Speaker A: My life will not dig holes, I guess. No.
Speaker B: You might become your own mining exhibition.
Speaker A: Like a termite.
Speaker B: How to follow the bane.
Speaker D: Oh, and if you took any damage, I guess catch one. Yeah. So that'd be ideal. Oh that's right. Yeah. So you'd have half of it. It's half rounded. It's just half rounded down. So yeah, you'd be healed. You are lightest minimum one.
Speaker B: You're safe.
Speaker A: Residual damage from me, something else.
Speaker C: So I go from three to two.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: And then whatever I can do a heal.
Speaker A: And they'll overrun you at the moment.
Speaker C: Right.
Speaker A: Last place insignia.
Speaker B: 18 round. First time we've gone back down. You've kind of done.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Straight drill pretty much.
Speaker B: And then we were following Stinky. And the other times you're running and.
Speaker D: Yeah. So you guys go down quickly and you come into. You pass through the tangle passageways again. This place is like generally very deep. And you come into a room that's like full of stuffed animals. Not like taxidermied animals. Full of taxidermy animals displayed alongside detailed information. So Doc can mark a progress for Shadowlands. Because there would be some stuff from the Shadowlands in here. I guess just. Yeah.
Speaker E: I'd ask Wally Fan. He look familiar?
Speaker D: She would probably like. Well, like as you guys are coming into the room, you notice that stuff and you see eight Black Order Librarians are in here. And they're the ones who maintain the portal.
Speaker A: Your name.
Speaker D: And they're not happy to see you.
Speaker A: Why is that?
Speaker D: I didn't tell any of this one like the cake. So the priority will. Right. That's the combat is the mind.
Speaker E: Mind plus initiative.
Speaker D: Yeah. 10, 7, 10.
Speaker E: Three tens.
Speaker D: All right. So cash the only one that's sloped below nine. Yep. So what do you guys do?
Speaker C: What are they doing? They're just not happy to see this.
Speaker D: Or they're getting ready to like capture you or attack you. You. They're motioning their hands like they're gonna cast something.
Speaker C: Get behind some cover.
Speaker E: Get behind some Cover and take some shots.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker A: Well, this is escalating.
Speaker C: Shoot the same one that you shoot.
Speaker E: I'm shooting who? I'd just be like those two.
Speaker D: Yeah, it does. It's not gonna be whoever isn't closest.
Speaker E: To yacht after I get behind some cover.
Speaker D: Yeah. What you do? Yeah. Okay. Thirteen.
Speaker A: Nice.
Speaker E: Fourteen hits.
Speaker D: All right. Yep. Those are all hits. Yeah.
Speaker E: Oh, double sixes.
Speaker C: For now.
Speaker A: What's a mighty success? Is that how.
Speaker D: No, that's his damage.
Speaker E: That's my damage.
Speaker D: That's my damage.
Speaker A: This is a lot of damage.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker E: I don't know how if I'm targeting. Are you shooting two people? Yeah.
Speaker D: So if it's six and six, each dice goes to something. How do you want to do this.
Speaker E: For two of them? I don't know.
Speaker A: Dome them.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: See if they can down right off the bat.
Speaker E: No, they crumple like, hey, they can die. I don't need the silver bullets.
Speaker C: So how does having two guns work? So you have two revolvers, but he's.
Speaker B: A gunslinger, which allows him to.
Speaker E: I have. I think you take a debuff.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Unless you have the two gun mojo. Okay.
Speaker C: I think I just pull one of those.
Speaker D: Yeah. Let me.
Speaker C: I did 40.
Speaker E: I just get a minus one. If it's not that on two targets.
Speaker D: He did four damage. Yeah, it looks really weird about putting it up here. This guy's been shot.
Speaker E: Ask if they know where portal is. At least.
Speaker D: Duty one just shouts back, you're not leaving.
Speaker A: All right, so you want to play? You might as well just start shooting those Sl on site.
Speaker B: You hear an audible sigh from Audrey.
Speaker D: Like, come on. Oh, you're. You're on the poop list now because you've been smashing stuff through. Through the library.
Speaker E: Through the library. Taking books which they haven't found out yet. That we know.
Speaker B: How do you shoot back? It's like, no, we are leaving.
Speaker E: Not putting me in the jar.
Speaker B: Rolls a nine on his attack as he fires back.
Speaker D: I'm not part of the village.
Speaker E: Not me.
Speaker D: Part of the. One of the. The librarian ducks out of the way because they do have fifth so subtracted from your dodge. I'm getting. Making sure all properly. Almost cra. To roll her initiative. She. She acts with cash.
Speaker E: Corpse explosion.
Speaker A: Please, Ollie. Begging you. You might win over Doc if you do that.
Speaker D: Okay. All right. Yeah. So you guys are all active.
Speaker E: All right.
Speaker D: So then they're gonna go. I guess all four of you give me mine and defense roles. And you see all of them like her hands were only.
Speaker A: 13.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: 10 and 13 bang.
Speaker A: I just rolled really well. And they're not good stuff.
Speaker C: You just pause and go. Film the right in your head.
Speaker D: All right. Yeah. So you guys call upon your weird as you feel like arcane energy to hit you. And you resist all my spells that slammed in you. They look a little.
Speaker E: Actually.
Speaker D: Let's see. Yeah. I'm gonna say they looked. So I guess four of them did that. They look surprised. So then the other two are. I'm just gonna roll. So all you guys are in cover, right? Yep. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker A: So I haven't active yet, so I probably. Right. Same with th.
Speaker D: Yeah, I guess, technically. So. Okay. So that's who. They're the two other guys. They target. You guys see that? See a string of light energy missiles fly at all the end cache.
Speaker A: Any production applies.
Speaker D: Yes. Yeah. Your armor, Ollie. Curses.
Speaker A: Yikes.
Speaker D: All right. Yep. So you guys are the curse word.
Speaker E: We know. Since he's from a different planet.
Speaker A: Daily curse.
Speaker D: Yeah. He probably wouldn't recognize it. I guess.
Speaker E: Actually, like Florence.
Speaker D: No. Yeah. It's in a different language. It's in a different language then. It's very. It's like a very. It was very, like, gut roll sounding put. Yeah. Okay. Yep. So. All right. Cash in and Ollie are up.
Speaker A: Now. I'm not happy. I. I'll bring out wax fang and run up and try to knock one of their heads off.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker A: Pull it. Nine.
Speaker D: Yep. Steps to this side and dodges. Only fires. He's having practice.
Speaker E: It's been a while.
Speaker D: All right, Claire. All right. The other three guys back to the top of the road.
Speaker E: Take a step out and shoot it too.
Speaker C: Rifle.
Speaker A: Fire it.
Speaker E: Eleven. Nine for six and three. Nine damage. Six and three.
Speaker D: And I said, which one? That will. You'll kill one and then you. You shoot the other wounded one. Doc. Doc. Shot goes wide.
Speaker C: Make sure you RP it to hit.
Speaker E: I'd shoot. There is a wounded one. I'd definitely shoot at that.
Speaker D: Yeah. If you want to spend RP points. Yeah. Would you roll the die? Yeah.
Speaker C: Put three points.
Speaker D: Yep. You'll need to spend two. Yeah.
Speaker C: So I just, like, lay it on it. Okay.
Speaker E: Whatever ones are in private. The other one if there's one further away from Cash. Since Cash has got melee, I figure he could get in.
Speaker D: Okay. He did three damage.
Speaker E: Yeah. Three to one and then six on another day.
Speaker D: All right. So, doc, waste the other wounded one. All right. Audrey, what you doing?
Speaker B: Audrey's watching. Knows that they can do some magic, so they probably got some mind also. Let's take a quick look. At the animals. What sort of taxidermy animals? Are they like predators or are they.
Speaker D: They're all different kinds. So. So what do you want to do.
Speaker B: Second of reanimating one of them?
Speaker D: They're like. I guess there would be like whole ones. Here, let me. There would be some whole ones.
Speaker B: Audrey's kind of torn. It's like shoot him befuddle one. So he takes out his comrades. Or animate one of the. The animals for distraction.
Speaker D: Yeah. All right, so if you want to. I guess for. For like a small one. Normal difficulty 9. If you want to do like a bigger one, you can either take more corruption, like we'll double the corruption roll or increase the difficulty. If you want like one that could be dangerous. So either a nine for like one that could be annoying and I'll say could give a bonus die to somebody that I guess gives a bonus die to attacking people if they're. You know. Or you could take like extra. More corruption to draw more power. And what would something bigger the danger.
Speaker B: Be for causing one to view allies as enemies? If I were to do a spell like that.
Speaker D: There is. There won't be any. Like, you're just. You're. You're paying the cost.
Speaker B: Yeah, but I mean as far as the difficulty, like for an animal, if it's small and annoying helps out, that would be a nine.
Speaker A: But is this a harder spell?
Speaker D: It's more. It's. So that's what I'm saying is like, if you want like something that can actually like kill these guys or whatever, or like something aggressive, it's gonna take more power. So you're either taking more corruption to it or we make the roll harder so you can fail. So you. You would still take like the corruption, but you may not the spell point activate. Okay.
Speaker C: What's our corruption meter in this? Like how big is it? Before we go crazy?
Speaker D: It's just 10, I think is what it's just 10 resolve. And I don't remember. Yeah, I'm just gonna say it's. It's just gonna. It'll just be 10 and then one. Uh, break breach that.
Speaker C: We'll cover that when it happens.
Speaker D: But you. You take a mutation in your bar resets. So you change it may be good or not.
Speaker B: Let's do something small that flies.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker A: So that would be.
Speaker D: Yeah, you'd add your sorcery minded sorcery. I still see.
Speaker B: Or am I doing straight and when like before.
Speaker D: No, you. I see. Yeah, you throw in your. Actually, yeah. For you it would be just a Straight analyze. You don't have folks or anything, so. Yeah, it's just ripping 2D6.
Speaker B: I'm gonna use a hero that's good for both. Die or just one.
Speaker D: I think it's just one. You can set the four. You guys have the papers down there.
Speaker A: After the gods roll one or more die again. Or set one of them dice to four. So you can roll all of them again if you want.
Speaker D: Or you get.
Speaker A: Or you can set one of them to four.
Speaker B: I'm going to try going on voltic damage because setting on 1 to 1, 1 to 4 is still not enough. Yeah.
Speaker C: Object in your favor. That could be the hero coin depository.
Speaker B: Throw it in there. Yeah, that's way better.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: Now I can use RP to get me deny.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: First time I rolled a three.
Speaker A: That's rough. Three off two six.
Speaker B: Especially when it's just a straight roll. Yeah, this time I got a 7. So 2 RP will at least get me the 9.
Speaker D: So you got a bird flying around. All right.
Speaker B: Something with a sharp bill fasting. Hummingbird.
Speaker D: There you go. All right. Bird with one. One hip flying around. I'll give a bonus die to one.
Speaker B: Target and then D6 for corruption.
Speaker D: Actually, no, it's. Oh, you did successful. So it's. And we'll say this was a small thing. So just. Just a one. Corruption. It was just a small tab. Yep.
Speaker E: I'm a little bit more corrupted than.
Speaker D: I was before.
Speaker B: That too. And I'm running on the resolve tracks.
Speaker D: Okay, so everyone's gone. So which the black lives.
Speaker A: There's only four of them.
Speaker B: They're having a hard time focusing. Shadowland, Hummingbird.
Speaker D: The one of them casts us, you know, Wall of iron pops up, cutting off two of you guys from seeing them. So I'm going to. All right, so Doc and. Yeah, you guys do no longer have shots at them from where you're at the other ones. Cash, bin that Audrey, give me mind rules.
Speaker B: Just straight up mind or mind the defense.
Speaker D: Yeah, just. Did I do defense last time? Yeah. Okay. Yes. Then mind defense.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: 12.
Speaker D: All right, so Audrey again, you get slammed with that. And then you see Cash this lock up, and he's like, in a box. Oh, boy. Yeah, frozen. You're, like, held in whatever position you were. And then the other one cast this magic missile thing again, and it splits it between Audrey and Cash. So you guys take three minus armor.
Speaker B: Armor is D6 minus four.
Speaker D: Yes.
Speaker A: Yeah, I rolled a four.
Speaker D: So, yeah, it's three normal damage. All right, so. So, Cash, you can give me A mind roll that so the vibrations are done. So you can give me a mind roll to try and break out?
Speaker A: I don't.
Speaker D: Wally. All right, back to the top of the order.
Speaker C: Is there another bookshelf I can run to?
Speaker A: Where I do have shot phone.
Speaker E: That's what I'd be looking for. Getting past this wall.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Or even how far is the wall away from them?
Speaker D: You don't. You can't see them anymore. So you don't know.
Speaker C: Well, like, when the wall went up, like, how far between us was the walls closer to them or closer to us?
Speaker D: Be closer to you guys.
Speaker C: I just run up to the wall and just aim around it and hit.
Speaker E: The first target I see.
Speaker D: Parker work. I'll say. You guys will have to let me check movement.
Speaker C: But unless there's a bookshelf that's closer.
Speaker D: To everything, you'll have to move far enough to where you'll have a penalty died on your shooting to get around the wall. Okay. What about bookshelf that you wouldn't be able to. You'll have to spend your action.
Speaker E: You know, wallet goes all the way up to the building.
Speaker D: It goes. Yeah, I'll say that. Like. Yeah, it cut you guys off. So. So you'll have to.
Speaker E: I'd run around the corner.
Speaker D: Move far enough. Yeah, it'll be your movement. What are we rolling here is. I'm just rolling the shoe. Yeah. So you just move. You move far. It's basically you double move, and you have a penalty died on your action. So if you want to get past the wall, that's what you have to do. Oh, penalty dynamics. Yeah, so you use the 2 lowest.
Speaker C: Also an 8.
Speaker D: Shots go away now with the.
Speaker B: The annoying bird offset. A penalty die.
Speaker D: Would.
Speaker E: And it'd be a nine Something. That'd be two targets.
Speaker D: Yeah, that's still good. Wide. Okay. They're defensively. Sorry. You guys. Heard you guys running the dodge here.
Speaker C: So.
Speaker D: Yeah. Audrey, give me another line. Defense role is trying to put you in a prison. I mean, I guess the jocket docket actually shot mind and defense role.
Speaker B: And then a 12.
Speaker D: Well, fine.
Speaker E: 9.
Speaker D: You just resist it shook off. All right, so the one guy's keeping cat locked up. All right, so all we then, Cash, you can try and break out all these sheets.
Speaker A: 13.
Speaker D: Yep. You access the power of the weird and shatter his spell. And he looks very surprised. And they. They look like they're getting. Getting ready to run after that. All right, we're back to the top of the board.
Speaker E: I didn't shoot two of Them. They're trying to run shoot one as well.
Speaker D: Oh, sorry. I see my pen just misses. Yeah. They hit these guys obviously. You know, love them. I should have just said that. I can just say that in the future for their taking their defense. Okay.
Speaker E: I'll find the hero.
Speaker A: Yeah. No survivors.
Speaker D: I say you guys can just toss your spent coins in there if you want. You can put that at the other end of the table. Goes out of the way that way. It's just an easy way to.
Speaker E: 5 and 3 damages.
Speaker D: No. What did you spend the hero point.
Speaker E: To make it a success?
Speaker D: That's the. That's a hero point.
Speaker E: Hero points.
Speaker C: Well, you only need or an RP point because you only need one RP to reach a level.
Speaker D: Right? Yeah.
Speaker C: So you can keep that and just.
Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker E: It's five and three damage two different targets.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker E: There's a weak one. That's what I'm not shoot.
Speaker D: Last round. But you do kill one. One for five damage. Okay. So you guys are. They run into the. Actually Audrey here first flying around. Yep. That hits.
Speaker B: For three.
Speaker D: One as. As they run into the around bookshelves and are gone.
Speaker A: They successfully flooding basically.
Speaker D: Yo.
Speaker B: They check out the bird.
Speaker D: The bird could be chasing them, but it wouldn't like they're just. They take off.
Speaker B: Figure out where they went around here.
Speaker D: If you. If you run to like where you saw and there's like no trace. You actually would probably. You would see like footprints in the dust that lead into bookshelves and then nothing.
Speaker C: Yeah. We gotta protect.
Speaker E: Guys, look at these books.
Speaker D: There's all the books in here are like scripts for plays.
Speaker C: Which room was it?
Speaker E: A bunch of crafts stock animals.
Speaker D: No. You got. You got. You had. You got a new earned a progress. Because there were Shadowland animals.
Speaker B: So taxidermy and Broadway.
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker E: This is all garbage and keep moving. Find dumb and desperate in the musical.
Speaker D: So you guys go on the back or going deeper or going to the ceiling.
Speaker E: I think we have to go through a door because if we go through the ceiling, it's obvious.
Speaker A: What do you mean? Like they're gonna know where they are.
Speaker D: I don't know.
Speaker E: I don't know if it matters.
Speaker A: Then we gotta go one deeper room.
Speaker D: Back on the go.
Speaker E: We gotta go up them.
Speaker D: You want to go back to 32.
Speaker A: 32. And then go back down.
Speaker D: That's true.
Speaker E: Two different doors.
Speaker A: 33.3.
Speaker D: That works for me.
Speaker B: You just gotta backtrack and.
Speaker A: And remind me how the health thing works.
Speaker D: Oh, yeah, sorry.
Speaker A: The damage I took goes away and.
Speaker D: The rest becomes half here. Yeah, half your normal damage.
Speaker E: Let me find a room.
Speaker D: Turned it down.
Speaker E: People are trash.
Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. At the end of the skirmish and then I put. Yeah, you put. You put a X through it. So it's like lasting damage.
Speaker C: We just need a tower. You can stop and clean it.
Speaker E: Stop finding librarians and birds with arms.
Speaker D: Strawberries. Yeah. So if you guys take the time to heal here, Doc can also remove one lasting point of damage.
Speaker A: Well, I think we think.
Speaker D: Oh, actually I guess he has to roll.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: It's a mind and skill.
Speaker A: Yeah, and we think we need to get to a safer room first.
Speaker D: Yeah, but it hasn't been an hour.
Speaker C: As long as it's for the alleys.
Speaker E: At least Jock doesn't know if librarians are like a hybrid blinder.
Speaker A: Yeah, they can at least communicate.
Speaker D: Yeah, let's ask. Holy.
Speaker E: That's true.
Speaker D: So I guess the Ollie would tell you that she doesn't know if they're a hive mind, but that they're only concerned. She said librarians won't likely won't attack. You won't send more. They'll send something else. They'll send some of their.
Speaker A: Oh, that's worse.
Speaker D: Guardian creatures like a paper golem or an achieve.
Speaker B: That's what that thing was.
Speaker D: Or like a skull warden. And she's like that's what killed me 86 years ago.
Speaker A: We don't want that.
Speaker E: We need to get out.
Speaker D: But like so like mechanic wise, if you guys want to sit here and heal, it's fine. And then I'll. When you.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: Done doing the healing. I'll roll on the event.
Speaker C: My fancy tools.
Speaker E: Look at the steam machine they have in here.
Speaker D: Oh, that's the level up. You guys are still in 33 too. No. You're at the stuffed animals. Yeah.
Speaker E: That'S a weird.
Speaker D: So I rolled a 15.
Speaker A: We can all remove one permit because.
Speaker C: I think I can heal my rank plus one per day. So I can do everyone.
Speaker E: The gunslinger doesn't take any damage so far in this system. And then the other one when I started.
Speaker A: Just not getting targeted for this. It was pretty cool how you let off by doming too.
Speaker C: Honestly.
Speaker B: That didn't gather attention.
Speaker A: Yeah, that guy's dangerous.
Speaker E: The other system is all based off rolls and I kept rolling hard. I'm not expecting the shoes.
Speaker C: How do you make something a mighty success again?
Speaker D: Or a legendary mighty success is rolling do double sixes a hero point.
Speaker E: You can go from normal to mighty.
Speaker D: Oh, can you burn a hero? Yeah.
Speaker C: How bad are you hurt?
Speaker A: I have five. And then so I took one away from your summit for four. 14. So 10.
Speaker C: Anybody like in danger?
Speaker D: I think Cash is on is actually.
Speaker A: I don't know why I didn't get a lot of room left.
Speaker B: He hobbles.
Speaker A: Well, I don't think you need to run anything yet.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker D: Life of a melee person.
Speaker A: I didn't even run up. I just acted slower and got blasted.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: Put you in a box. It's not good when Cash gets put box.
Speaker A: Don't put me.
Speaker C: Did you take off the stuff from the last fight that was not lasting, like, you know, half.
Speaker A: Half of it, yeah.
Speaker D: Making sure we got that.
Speaker A: I just took a lot of damage that the fight I just had. I got nailed twice. Put like five each. 10 times.
Speaker D: Okay. All right. Yeah. So you guys are just as. You guys are like, you finish up healing and stuff. A strong gust of wind blows through.
Speaker C: Which room?
Speaker D: The room you guys are in. The stuffed animals. 32.
Speaker E: Taxidermy in place.
Speaker C: Let's go. It's a sign.
Speaker B: We go with the breeze.
Speaker E: Which way did it go?
Speaker D: You guys moving back up to 32?
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker C: Should we dig up from here?
Speaker E: I'm fine digging. Might as well at this point from 32.1.
Speaker B: They already love us.
Speaker E: Burning their books. Then we'll go back to the other guy and be like, yeah, they don't like us.
Speaker A: We can deal with him.
Speaker C: Like, look, we'll take Stinky about this if you leave us alone.
Speaker B: He can be your guide as long as he takes us to the books we need.
Speaker E: Yeah, dark vision, whatever.
Speaker D: Yeah. You guys come back up into the phantom pumps or the brain feature.
Speaker E: Still on the ground.
Speaker A: Yes.
Speaker D: That's bodies there.
Speaker E: That's good.
Speaker D: That's. Your doc doesn't know how this place works.
Speaker B: You create enough undead, maybe they'll be busy dealing with that instead.
Speaker D: That's all.
Speaker E: If she can do that. Can you make like undeads to cause trouble like somewhere else? Why it might get associated with us.
Speaker D: He's like. But didn't raise this thing up. But it's energy and I don't having challenges with just this form. As you can see. Yeah. So you guys are. You're back in this room. You notice in the way off on the side, I guess kind of like, you know, you actually see, like where this creature's like, nest was and he sees a sparkly weapon and a large book stuffed in there. Yeah. As you. As you get closer it. You see a crossbow.
Speaker A: Oh, that's kind of cool.
Speaker B: But does it have a hammer? Otherwise it's Decorative.
Speaker E: I can imagine.
Speaker D: Yeah. And you see like on. On that. On the. On its. On the bow arms are like engravings of, like, fire. And they almost. That almost looks like they're moving, like the fire is moving.
Speaker A: That's super cool.
Speaker D: What's the book about? It's a bestiary. Bestiary. Oh.
Speaker B: Any particular location.
Speaker D: Relevant monsters. That's how we can roll D6 and on A1, get some Shadowlands progress.
Speaker E: Who wants to read it?
Speaker D: You don't see any shadows through it. No shadow. And then there's magical.
Speaker E: Everyone.
Speaker A: You look at it. Okay.
Speaker B: There for a moment, I was hoping the book was a manual on how the words cross.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Crossbow maintenance.
Speaker B: And you pretty much.
Speaker C: Then in the art of crossbow, when.
Speaker B: Using your Flamethrower 3000, make sure to.
Speaker D: And then there's also there's a small, like, leather pouch.
Speaker B: What's in the leather pouch?
Speaker D: A handful of gemstones.
Speaker A: Oh, a baby crane.
Speaker D: Train.
Speaker E: This one.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker B: I take the crossbow, kind of look at the gems and ask Ollie. It's like, have you seen anything like this before?
Speaker D: She goes, nope.
Speaker B: When I look at the. The crossbow, does it look like it's supposed to shoot gemstones?
Speaker D: No.
Speaker C: Okay. There any eggs in this?
Speaker D: Any scout still hungry?
Speaker A: Let's make an omelet.
Speaker D: You don't see any.
Speaker C: The yolks just got too, like, strong.
Speaker A: Yeah. There a character like that.
Speaker C: That's actually sounds like a money.
Speaker E: I think it is Garfield.
Speaker C: It is. You're right.
Speaker B: That's right.
Speaker D: Ultimate.
Speaker C: Legs are sticking out. I forgot about that. Wow. You dusted my brain off. Many animals sitting on the library.
Speaker B: Is there an empty wall?
Speaker D: Let's shoot it.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: Well, that's it. I want to shoot it, but I don't want to light bucks on fire because then the load will be overflowing.
Speaker D: Well, you guys do know it is, like, really dry in here, so fire would. Would be dangerous.
Speaker E: Maybe you make the hole first and then shoot and rough it.
Speaker C: Let's just take it with us.
Speaker A: Just use it in the next fight, see what happens.
Speaker E: There's no arrow. Yeah.
Speaker C: He could probably just threaten to use it.
Speaker D: Then they might back down.
Speaker C: Considering that it won't light the place up.
Speaker A: I would dig if you wanted to.
Speaker C: I think we should get out of here.
Speaker E: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B: We'll get out of here and shoot. Doesn't mind carrying it. Probably give it to Jacques to test out. Or he might fire it off as he's walking with the group. He might hear this.
Speaker D: Crap moment that may.
Speaker E: I don't care. You could make a hole and then you could shoot it down.
Speaker B: Well, I was thinking about my daddy. Wouldn't like any of that.
Speaker D: There's a hole in the floor where you're in this room. Yeah.
Speaker C: To the tea room.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: You hungry? Go down and make some real cheese.
Speaker C: Some French toast.
Speaker D: Yeah, just the. The room you're in now is the phantom pumps room. So there's like a huge steam powered machine.
Speaker C: White librarian's gone, right?
Speaker A: Yeah, he fled.
Speaker D: Yeah. There's nobody in here. There's the corpse of the creature. And then after we get up the hole, shoot down. Sure.
Speaker A: At least blood and water in there.
Speaker C: We should let them know that we have this weapon.
Speaker B: I'm afraid it.
Speaker D: No, it's. It'd be like a standard, like kind of like medieval cross, save for the.
Speaker A: Next fight, and then see what happens. We didn't mean to burn the library.
Speaker D: If you want to shoot it down.
Speaker A: The hole, shoot it down.
Speaker E: The jock would shoot it down the hole. Yeah, I don't care.
Speaker C: Just let us get up first.
Speaker E: Yep.
Speaker B: And for that reason, Audrey will probably hold on to it just a little long.
Speaker A: All right, we're good. I'm digging up.
Speaker E: I already pissed at us. What else can they do?
Speaker D: Yeah, I was gonna say after that encounter. You guys know you're like on the interior list now.
Speaker A: We sent a paper on that, and they were definitely lighting up on fire. Crossville.
Speaker B: Yeah, there's the ink on.
Speaker A: The ink on was not.
Speaker D: Yeah, no, it was just pushed up here. All right, so you guys go up to 30 bucks. Not 30, 31. Yeah.
Speaker E: Whatever. Then he shrugged off all their magic, so he's like, you guys are weak.
Speaker A: I thought the same thing.
Speaker B: Realized how messed up it would be if the Dove and Pale Rider was an allegory from Orzine and something in the past that some writer was doing that.
Speaker E: Maybe it is a metaphor.
Speaker B: Different places they went.
Speaker E: Awesome.
Speaker D: That'd be fun.
Speaker E: A history book.
Speaker B: Well, they kept those things hidden because you couldn't let them out. But if you hide them in the smut, nobody.
Speaker D: Yeah, so you guys. Yep. So as you guys cast digs through, smashes through the floor ceiling. Then the floor.
Speaker E: Getting more sandwiches.
Speaker D: You come into a. A chapel. Dedicated religious devotion. High arched ceilings supported by pillars. Rows of pews. And at the front, the pulpit, the altar. There's a small lectern in it. There is a large book on it. And there's also an altar, kind of like behind the lectern. Check out the book.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'll drop a rope.
Speaker D: Snake. Yeah. Say you guys don't have any. And then Cash, like as you're up there, you hear that weird ominous cooking from this other. It's when you like listen around, it's like the same thing. It's just like the lore is ticking.
Speaker B: Hey, I'd rather have it ticking than being lost.
Speaker A: That's how they know where we are or something. I think they track us.
Speaker E: We can all hear it.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Okay.
Speaker B: No, it's just Cash.
Speaker E: Look at Cash's ears.
Speaker D: Like.
Speaker C: No, you got tinnitus. Sorry.
Speaker A: Well, that's way labor.
Speaker E: All the hitting the rocks.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: All the dynamite.
Speaker E: Yeah. Dynamite and rock.
Speaker B: We're not throwing our trail that way.
Speaker E: I got a bunch of Molotov.
Speaker B: I think I still got a stick.
Speaker E: I'm sitting on the horse because I have like 12 jackets just falling off.
Speaker B: Kick through the ceiling, get out. Drop one down.
Speaker D: Okay. So the book.
Speaker E: I'm going to keep going up till we get out. So we just have the hole to sandwich.
Speaker A: That's the sandwich hole. You're welcome.
Speaker B: And the next time we come, we. We stumble across. It's like this hole. I remember this whole sandwich.
Speaker C: We need to have a pyramid. So you have a cake hole and a pie Hol. Anyway, back when you're in belt coin it always got me in the south they have a whole email they call corn.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker E: Why I love it.
Speaker C: Like the game's fine. The name I just shocked me. I'm like.
Speaker D: We were told not to say that when I was.
Speaker B: And first words are funny. That.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yo, it's the South. It's interesting. Yeah. So the. The book on the lectern is a hyper dense occult dictionary.
Speaker A: I need a bag of holding.
Speaker B: You can start filling the bird.
Speaker E: That one sounds interesting. If we ever see or zine we can get the book back.
Speaker C: You put it to the bird.
Speaker E: Yep. Unless you want to read it.
Speaker D: I'll. I'll say like.
Speaker E: Like unless there's someone in here you.
Speaker D: Spend like a week or two reading. I'll say it. It's a. It could be a. A plus one to somebody's sorcerer curve.
Speaker A: You want to take a look?
Speaker B: Yeah, I'll take that one.
Speaker A: We're already in pretty deep, so.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker E: Jack doesn't care if we can get out.
Speaker A: Maybe we'll make out one. Man, this might be the last time I ever come to the library.
Speaker B: Pretty much at this point has gone from tourist too.
Speaker E: We just have to get new library cards and fake names.
Speaker A: That's a good idea.
Speaker B: We just going through a different library.
Speaker A: So.
Speaker E: This guy's good There you go.
Speaker D: Yeah. All right. And then there's. Yeah, then there's the altar behind the. Behind the lectern. Oh, but then, yeah, you guys are still walking through all the tangled passages.
Speaker A: Does the lectern have anything besides the book?
Speaker D: No, not on it. It's just the. The altar. Under the altar, you find there's a porcelain mask resembling a human skull and a throwing knife.
Speaker E: All right.
Speaker D: Goes with the occult. Pug.
Speaker A: There you go.
Speaker E: Got the knife and the mask.
Speaker B: Can Ollie identify the mask? Is it just a mask?
Speaker D: Yeah, it's just a very ordinate porcelain mask.
Speaker E: That goes with your shroud.
Speaker A: Yeah, I got the shroud around my face. I'm trying to disguise my identity a little bit.
Speaker D: Cash from his, like, trading experience would know that that mask is worth a lot. Wow.
Speaker A: That is a four to me.
Speaker D: I'm gonna say. I'll say. Selling that is a plus 40 credit rating.
Speaker E: Dang.
Speaker A: Wow, that is a fortune to itself.
Speaker B: You might need the throwing knife to protect that mask.
Speaker D: Cash. I'm gonna say, Audrey, when you pick up the throwing knife, you get a little tangle.
Speaker B: I might need the knife.
Speaker D: Cash.
Speaker A: Okay. You put the knife off of this.
Speaker D: Yeah, with. Nice.
Speaker B: Unless all I can identify stuff, it's pretty much save it for now. And as we're going up, Audrey would start to get curious. It's like, Polly, if your energy is running low, you want to hop in the bird. Is that feasible or.
Speaker D: Oh, Ollie. No. She's like, no, she like. Yeah, she.
Speaker B: As far as possessing a body.
Speaker E: No.
Speaker D: Yes. She's like, no, that's mechanical. Okay. Then she's like, this is. My skeleton is fine.
Speaker B: Well, as far as the energy to. To maintain.
Speaker D: Just reduces some of my other abilities is all. And I've been this. I was been in spirit form for 80 plus years. So running from librarians, so getting used to limbs and other things is a little challenging. Which comes to show at this point, I think you've noticed that she doesn't walk either. She's like, sleep hovering. Okay. It's not trying to walk me.
Speaker B: Audrey's, like, already planning worst case scenario in the case that we have to ditch your body and you need to hitch a ride.
Speaker D: Like, if you're willing, I'll make use.
Speaker B: When the time comes, we'll.
Speaker D: We'll figure it out. All right. Yes. So.
Speaker E: Up again. Unless there's a. I mean, you can go.
Speaker D: You can go down, but you guys are pretty deep. So you're still getting, like, the tangled passage. Yes. Like, you're still knowing that you're basically keep going up.
Speaker A: You gotta keep going up. Hopefully one of these days we find a portal.
Speaker B: Yeah. Because I keep looking for doors, locked doors that may go up and go down, but.
Speaker D: And then also the books in this area have been books about fashion. More garbage.
Speaker A: And if we had been searching for answers on something frivolous, we would nail it by now.
Speaker B: I don't know, Maybe there's some magic fashion. Maybe something that might enhance your shroud.
Speaker A: Maybe for, like, doing disguises for people in the Shadowlands.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: That would be the right patch. Like, when I use radium for everything.
Speaker C: After this, the catch is, like, going radiant.
Speaker D: Chains.
Speaker C: A big elderite K hanging from a chain.
Speaker A: Just a dollar sign. Cash. It's my name.
Speaker C: It is for the K. Right?
Speaker D: Cash.
Speaker C: I can remember it was K or something.
Speaker D: Oh, that was a K.
Speaker C: That's your rapper version.
Speaker A: Yeah, exactly.
Speaker D: All right. Yeah. So you guys smash this ceiling once you get up there. Yeah. Cash. As you know, splash through the ceiling like the floor.
Speaker A: Okay, cool.
Speaker E: Yeah. So far, it's still the cake.
Speaker B: We got to run. Cannonball.
Speaker D: You see four very large spiders and three floating brains fighting.
Speaker A: Okay. I think it's okay.
Speaker D: And then they're.
Speaker A: They don't stand much of a chance.
Speaker E: Human brain.
Speaker D: No, you're like. Yeah, I was gonna say. You see, like, you actually, like, cath. You see, like, bolts of, like, energy shooting out of the brains. These spider. The spiders, as they're, like, trying to fly away.
Speaker A: Spider versus floating brain situation.
Speaker D: And the spiders are about the size of dogs that you see that. They're like, good chance to use a crossbow. And do we really want to involve.
Speaker B: Ourselves in the middle of somebody else's fight?
Speaker D: There's four of them. The three brains kill the spiders.
Speaker E: We have to wait.
Speaker B: Like, probably start there. But I might want to aim for a brain, too.
Speaker E: Wait like, 40 years. And this must be a movie.
Speaker B: Star Trek.
Speaker E: Sci fi.
Speaker D: Horror movies with radium arrows.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker B: And large ants.
Speaker D: Large ant. Cross cross. Yeah. So. So, Cash, what are you.
Speaker A: Are you trying to stay out of it? But I'm gonna lower the rope down.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker E: Start climbing up.
Speaker C: Hey, guys. Come on up.
Speaker A: I think we could make more allies. We make friends with Marines.
Speaker D: All right. Yep. Yeah. So you guys climb up. Hold.
Speaker A: Jail break.
Speaker E: There we go.
Speaker A: There's like 20 of us.
Speaker D: Get out.
Speaker A: So it's pretty western.
Speaker E: Yeah. The library, like, all this random.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Thanks.
Speaker E: Have a good one.
Speaker A: Nectar mancer.
Speaker D: Giant spider brain.
Speaker B: It's like we brought friends.
Speaker E: Oh, Our luck will probably end up in, like, the Pale Riders. HQ.
Speaker C: Digging up the floor in the west or code.
Speaker D: Yeah, west. But I need to get somewhere.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: I don't know why I said.
Speaker E: Just dry. More allergies.
Speaker D: Feeling all right.
Speaker B: Everyone's. The passages keep going up but it's like I don't know. Cutting another hole in the ceiling might draw their attention.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: Gas.
Speaker E: Feeling allergies.
Speaker C: On Friday when I went to bed I took but just half of Benadryl. I. I didn't move the whole night. I just was like in this like curled up position like out.
Speaker D: Not ready for al.
Speaker C: I think I'm going to try the carnivore diet though.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker C: See if I can eliminate some food. I think I'm being top good that.
Speaker D: My body's just like.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: Not happy with it.
Speaker C: I think that makes my allergies 10 times worse. I did it shortly for a little while. I think it would make a difference.
Speaker B: Say didn't Katrina do that one?
Speaker C: She did it for a longer period.
Speaker D: And she enjoyed it.
Speaker C: But her parents started doing it. They're coming back and. Oh they're so.
Speaker D: So we'll probably do it with them. Thanks for.
Speaker B: I thought about it but tell I have total control over meals and whatnot.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: You don't live with family. Pull that off very easily.
Speaker C: Yeah. That's like Katie's but her special diet and stuff.
Speaker D: Caleb. Yeah.
Speaker E: He's still young so he can eat.
Speaker D: Yeah. Alrighty. Yeah. So you guys all have climbed up in the. You guys are all up here. You see three at my rifle out floating brains fighting four spiders that are like the size of a large dogs.
Speaker B: I don't want to be part of anybody's collection. Do you want to be part of the birds collection?
Speaker D: I don't want the spider's abdomens like long and thin. Kind of like a praying mantis. More than a normal bulbous appearance. Their features fate or their faces feature huge black eyes and a thick Maximil which is like their jaw thing that rumbles resembles a human skull. Okay.
Speaker E: No one's gonna believe anything.
Speaker D: Oh and then I'll describe the floating brains too. So like because you guys. Yeah you guys ran into some of the brains in the jars. These look similar.
Speaker B: The weaponized brains out of the jar.
Speaker D: They got free.
Speaker B: Futurama flashbacks.
Speaker D: Yeah but you can see that they're like they're floating and there is like a faint like shimmer around the. The brains themselves. Have they noticed us? They're too busy like I guess. Like I guess not necessarily fighting like fleeing and trying to defend themselves from the spiders. Too. And I guess you wouldn't know if they noticed you, because there. There's no eyes or anything. There's just brains there.
Speaker B: But the spiders haven't noticed us, right?
Speaker D: They're busy. They're busy hunting the brains. Even though you, like, smash through the. The floor, which maybe at the same time that everybody's noticed everybody.
Speaker C: What's the spectromaster's name again?
Speaker A: Ollie.
Speaker D: Ollie.
Speaker C: I'd be like, ollie, you know anything about these things?
Speaker D: I didn't say. Yeah, and then, like, she would. And then, like, as when you got through there and, like, described what happened, she actually just, like, shot up the. Up through the hole really quick and started blasting the spiders. And he always saved the brains. Okay.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker E: How many spiders are there?
Speaker D: There's four.
Speaker A: Pull out my pistol.
Speaker D: Use the crossbow. Yep.
Speaker A: Shoot the crossbow.
Speaker B: As I pull it back, so.
Speaker D: So when you pull it back, the strings actually glow like flame, and then a bolt of fire appears in the crossbow.
Speaker B: Audrey's eyes get big.
Speaker C: How many books are in this area?
Speaker A: Don't miss there.
Speaker D: I mean, there's always, like, bookshelves and stuff. But then you also do see a.
Speaker E: Large bell ready to go down. Another pass.
Speaker D: Yeah, you do see a vault door.
Speaker E: And then go back up.
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker B: I would take a shot at a.
Speaker D: Spider or do that. Oh, that's a gross picture. I'll have to share it with you. Thanks.
Speaker E: You always.
Speaker C: I didn't want to sleep tonight.
Speaker E: You always have to share. Gross ugly.
Speaker D: Now let me zoom in here. Yeah.
Speaker B: So because they don't know we're there, would we get advantage on the first match?
Speaker D: I'll say at this point, like, so they're. They would know. And then, like, always flown up there. So, like, there won't be any advantage. But you guys could just.
Speaker A: So this never shoots.
Speaker D: Yeah, we'll just. You guys can just shoot at them.
Speaker A: Box cars.
Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Mighty success.
Speaker A: Mighty success.
Speaker D: Oh, snap.
Speaker A: What do I do with that?
Speaker E: There's a ton of.
Speaker D: There's a lot of final blow.
Speaker A: I could increase damage by three steps. Are these rabble.
Speaker B: Okay?
Speaker A: I think I'm probably just gonna. Or I could immediately make another attack against the same.
Speaker C: Or get. I'm just gonna take one out.
Speaker D: Vital.
Speaker A: Vital. Blow this thing.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker A: Increase damage by three steps.
Speaker D: Oh, by three steps.
Speaker A: Yeah. So it's from a 1D6, 21 2, 3 to 2D6.
Speaker E: I'm rolling on.
Speaker D: All right, that. Actually. That might hit. All right. They have no defense. So nine hits. All right. Dang, Ollie. Almost created. I think they might all be dead.
Speaker A: I got eight for my one splats, four for me.
Speaker D: All right, one's almost. That one's almost dead.
Speaker C: I get that same one for three.
Speaker D: All right, that one died. So there's. There's two. I see it. And then I guess I'll go ollie damage here.
Speaker B: What damage does the crossbow.
Speaker C: Yeah, all of it.
Speaker D: It's D6 plus D6. Fire two D6.
Speaker A: Wow.
Speaker E: Plus five.
Speaker B: Okay, well, I had 11 for the attack.
Speaker D: Actually. Wait, no, we'll say it does D6. It's. Was. It's. It's D6 fire skill 2. So what this does. So it has skill 2 damage, which let me. The first scale that actually might be worse. Be worse than what I just did. But this will be. I want to do this things Scale's kind of weird. So they have no protection. So your damage is skill too. So damage versus lifeblood. It's per point of difference. So these guys are all skill one because they're like. But so you'll have one point. So you step up the damage by two steps. So I'll say yours is D6 is the base. Right now that may be higher or lower. Next section, but so then you go two steps. So I think two D6 level. Yeah, yeah. So you roll three D6 and use the two lower. Interesting. I think. Yeah. Two D6L. Yeah. No, D6 would be.
Speaker E: I mean D6.
Speaker D: It's two D6.
Speaker A: No, it's two D6L from a D6.
Speaker D: No, two steps. Oh, yeah. Two steps of you, it's two D6. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker E: From the D6 it would be two D6.
Speaker D: Yeah, it's really two D6. Do you guys know I have D6.
Speaker A: Heavy and then two D6 light.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker B: Oh, did I forget?
Speaker D: Oh, I don't have 2D6 heavy on this. Oh, I must have missed that one. Yeah. So it is 2D6L. Okay.
Speaker B: Okay. So that's rolling 2D6. And the lower of the two.
Speaker A: He roll 3D6. And the two lower die.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: So we got the roll hung.
Speaker B: Not really. I only did five points. Five points of fire damage. I rolled. Rolled a one, two, three.
Speaker A: Well, that's just a bum roll.
Speaker B: So if we go for the.
Speaker D: So your two. The two low dives would be three. Okay. I singed it. Yep. You singed on.
Speaker E: Whoa.
Speaker A: That's cool, though.
Speaker D: Yeah, Save the room.
Speaker B: Kind of skipped it across the floor.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: And I'll say Ollie fires and finishes off that other one. That's. It's definitely just going to Run off. All right. Yeah. So it just runs away because it just. All of a sudden it's four buddies. Just got delayed. Okay.
Speaker A: How do you do?
Speaker E: See how Ollie talks to these brain? Start looking at books.
Speaker D: The books in this area are census results.
Speaker E: Some of them. Census?
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Where are the most mil?
Speaker D: But yeah, all I just talk to speaks to the brains and they communicate their appreciation. That's help in dealing with trying to.
Speaker A: Get out of here. Back to the surface. You want to come with?
Speaker D: You just. You just hear like this kind of like echoing sound in your head. And it sounds like kind of like like three separate plates. One voice, but like three like tones kind of thing that. Yes. Keep us safe from the neuro and the librarians.
Speaker E: We'll do what we can do to help.
Speaker A: All right. Now we got a posse.
Speaker E: Yeah. Doctor had a weird hideout. To all these creatures from the library and rescues and brings to work.
Speaker D: And when they mention the neuro wars, you see a picture of the squid head, like the octopus headed guy.
Speaker A: Oh, okay, that makes sense. Okay, you want to get a picture in their head?
Speaker E: There's that door.
Speaker A: Vault door.
Speaker D: Yep. There's a vault door.
Speaker A: Oh yeah, that.
Speaker D: It is. Vault.
Speaker A: You have a fancy team.
Speaker E: Ollie's got all the fancy stuff now.
Speaker B: Slowly becoming Ollie tries to open it up.
Speaker E: Please don't be screaming.
Speaker A: Not the far side of hell.
Speaker E: Screaming and fire.
Speaker D: No, you. You open it up and immediately you're like. See tons of sheaves of blank paper and a couple display cases. One of them is showing a. There's a stack of. There's a display of like three coins. But the. The coins are like this smoky blasting metallic substance.
Speaker B: Do they react to the scorches coins?
Speaker D: No. And then you see a violin made out of glass. And then. And another burial shroud. Another one.
Speaker A: A lot of people die down here.
Speaker B: They come in and they forget to get out.
Speaker A: Yeah. Start to see why, though.
Speaker E: Look at the coins. The smoking coins. Put my hand on the glass and see if they reacts or anything sets up an alarm. Yeah.
Speaker C: But we were good at that.
Speaker A: We already have five stars.
Speaker D: No, but you see, Ollie's eyes go wide. Oh, she goes. I can't believe it. I've never seen so much cold. A coltrum occultrum.
Speaker A: What's that? Like eldorite?
Speaker D: Because I don't know what eldite is, but maybe it's the same thing.
Speaker A: It's not.
Speaker C: Are you talking about the paper or the objects?
Speaker D: No, coins.
Speaker E: That's not the coins and the keys.
Speaker D: This is condensed, like pure precursor material. Anybody With. She goes. Everybody that knows and knows these knows about this. Wants it. You could bribe the deities or purchase kingdoms with it. With one.
Speaker C: How many are there?
Speaker D: There's three.
Speaker A: Dibs.
Speaker E: And I.
Speaker D: And she goes. There are also extremely powerful magic like case breaking. Okay.
Speaker A: Great.
Speaker D: Magical components. Yeah.
Speaker E: I would take two and give her 100ft.
Speaker D: She goes, Keep it. And then if you still feel like you want to give me one to get out of. I want something.
Speaker E: I got a catfish.
Speaker D: Us. All right.
Speaker A: Come on, mule.
Speaker B: Carry the coins.
Speaker D: Calls a chaplain. But I don't have any pockets either. That's good. Put it in pockets.
Speaker A: And that's a good.
Speaker E: They're crazy.
Speaker B: Imagine the weapons you could make of.
Speaker E: Those type of material.
Speaker A: That's pretty nice. I'm going to look at the other shroud. Compare fashion choices. I wish I read those books.
Speaker E: Shroud fashion.
Speaker A: You're shrouding you prospect is fish shroud.
Speaker D: Oh. It looks almost identical. It would. There's a different name associated with it.
Speaker A: But it's a burial shot. Again.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: Is it also magical? So, like, the soul is untouchable.
Speaker D: Yeah. That's like the little display like explains what it is and what it does.
Speaker E: What are you guys.
Speaker A: Put it on the kid.
Speaker C: He gets in less trouble. I just get bit on.
Speaker A: I toss it to Audrey.
Speaker D: What about the violin? It's just. Sorry. You can tell. It's just very nice violin. Made out of solid glass.
Speaker A: Right? Smashing on somebody's head.
Speaker E: Is it actually solid glass or is it like a violin? So it's like a hollow one?
Speaker D: Yeah. It's. It's a violin that's made out of glass.
Speaker E: Doc.
Speaker B: Mike.
Speaker A: Doc, can you play that fiddle? I will. Come on. Let's hear something. This might be my last day.
Speaker E: All silent alarms getting triggered for every case.
Speaker C: Let's see if we can get out.
Speaker A: Of here without destroying it.
Speaker E: Amazon package. Stuff it in there.
Speaker A: Sand in your bag.
Speaker B: So the shroud does the exact same thing, just a different name?
Speaker D: Yeah. It's called the burial Shroud of Sears Seer.
Speaker B: The Shroud of pennies.
Speaker A: The soul is untouchable and spiritual.
Speaker C: Gfc Pennies stands for cash.
Speaker A: Pin. Good name.
Speaker E: Right.
Speaker B: As I look at that shroud and I'm getting ready to wrap myself with, it's like, oh, if I put this on and you need a ride, can you make it or will the shroud lock?
Speaker D: I'm not attacking your soul, so it'll be fine.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker B: Set up like a turban. Habib. I'm using cash with my fashion representative.
Speaker E: Still read those Books.
Speaker A: Yeah, I got, like, the veil, the Bandit look right now.
Speaker B: Lawrence of Arabia.
Speaker A: Yes.
Speaker E: Run the fashion.
Speaker C: The ceiling in the spider room.
Speaker E: That's right. This is just a vault.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Let's go back. Yep. Keep going up.
Speaker A: Yeah. We're gonna be a third.
Speaker C: We were at 30.
Speaker B: It'll be a 29.
Speaker E: When is the library? Like, they get back to more normal path again?
Speaker C: Very close.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker B: I don't know. We like.
Speaker D: Yeah. You guys really fast.
Speaker C: Teleported once. I know.
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we fled once.
Speaker D: Yeah, you fled once. Chasing the big five to 12. Oh, then you guys also went down some stairs.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: That went really, really deep. 5:1 and then 16:1 also was like stairs that went way down. Yeah. You guys, I think. Yeah, we'll see what.
Speaker E: Jock's not too concerned. Just keep going up.
Speaker A: Yeah, exactly.
Speaker D: It doesn't matter.
Speaker E: And we'll find the beer room, and then Jock will never like the beer and smoke room in the shooting range.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker E: We're like 12 years later drinking and smoking and shooting.
Speaker C: It's like three rooms. Or all the services of, like, a bar and brothel.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: Hey, defensive line, set up at the door. Anybody that wants to come in and kick us out, you just follow up.
Speaker C: We live here now.
Speaker A: Goals. What are those?
Speaker E: All you can drink. All you can shoot.
Speaker C: Some of the librarians come in. We're like, we're done burning the places. Come have a seat. Drinks on us.
Speaker D: Oh, no. You guys are still going. He's smashing up through the ceiling and the floor. Since you're avoiding the tangled passages, but you're still, like, in the tangled passages.
Speaker E: Spinning books.
Speaker B: Catch my eye.
Speaker E: In the tangle passages. Every level I just look at photos. Unless there's dangers or loot.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: We'll have our minions take care of the next dangers.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: Alley brains will handle that.
Speaker C: Yes.
Speaker B: Do the brains have pathways that would take us back up without breaking the ceilings?
Speaker D: No. Is that, like, just the. The nature of this place? Like, you're not. Yeah, I guess you're going between locations, smashing the ceiling.
Speaker B: Which I was just thinking, if they came down one way, then they would have the path to. To go back up.
Speaker A: Although it would probably take us to.
Speaker B: A different door altogether.
Speaker A: Yeah, sure.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: And they maybe fled to, like, the spider.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Seems like they were fleeing.
Speaker D: Cash. As you're climbing up. Yeah. As you get through the. You see a. A flying.
Speaker A: See.
Speaker B: Quick, read the title.
Speaker A: Read the title.
Speaker D: Flies at you and tries to, like, hit you in the head. It, like, flies as.
Speaker A: Curves around and comes back.
Speaker D: Yes.
Speaker E: Like, it's Flying itself.
Speaker B: Grata.
Speaker D: Yeah. Then you also see, like, as that one, like, zooms passing dodge up, you see two other ones that are, like, making a beeline for you.
Speaker A: Flying books.
Speaker D: And then you're in, like, a. In this. In this room of steam pipes that are all around here. Large, large valve set in the wall, more steam system. And there you're constantly hearing, like, little valve, like, letting out steam. So you're, like, just in a giant room of, like. And then these books are flying around at you. What do you want to do? And then Ollie is shooting up after you. Yeah.
Speaker C: I'll drop the rope and take out.
Speaker A: My wax fang and try to bash the next first book that comes back.
Speaker D: All right, go ahead and give me a roll, and then you guys can start climbing. You guys will need to do strength or agility rolls to climb up, since Ashes or not. Evil Dead.
Speaker A: That's a cool name.
Speaker D: You do need an 11 to hit the books. What? Because they're flapping around fast.
Speaker E: 12 to climb up.
Speaker B: Are these still advantage of going up?
Speaker D: No, this is just straight. Yeah.
Speaker E: Okay.
Speaker D: Cash is trying to defend himself against books that are crashing at a level.
Speaker C: But it's a nine plus.
Speaker D: Yep. Eventually I'll climb up there and see Ollie kind of like floating off the side, shooting at books and catch swinging us going in. All right.
Speaker C: Someone comes at me, I want to try to actually use my duster and try to, like, catch it.
Speaker D: All right. That would just be a. I guess, agility melee.
Speaker C: Can I use mine? Since I have a cool trick of pitching them.
Speaker D: Look.
Speaker A: Nine for me.
Speaker D: I say with the way they're moving and stuff, it would. It'd still be agility and melee to try and catch them. And you need 11 or better. What day when you get. So you get draw shooting at them?
Speaker E: Y. I got nine. Shoot two of them.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker D: So you need 11.
Speaker E: Okay.
Speaker B: What do you need to catch them?
Speaker A: Nine.
Speaker D: Eleven or better to.
Speaker B: To catch them or shoot them?
Speaker D: Yeah. They're maneuverable.
Speaker E: A little bow.
Speaker C: I spent RP11. It's like I catch it, and, like, I have it, like, shut in my desk.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker B: Audrey's amazed.
Speaker D: This looks pretty cool.
Speaker B: He's gonna try and catch one too. Burning down.
Speaker E: Once we start going up, just to see it go all the way down to the cake room.
Speaker D: All right. Yep. You catch a book too.
Speaker C: Stop moving.
Speaker A: What are you.
Speaker E: Break it. Spine.
Speaker D: As you're. As you're wrestling this. This. But both of you each take three resolve damage. As you feel like your mind being assaulted.
Speaker C: We Resist it.
Speaker D: Nope. If you want to use anwin powers to try and blast it, I guess. But no, you like it's. You're feeling like. Like it's trying to suck knowledge out of your brain or knock you unconscious as you're holding on to it.
Speaker C: Is it only because of contact? Because I do have it in my duster.
Speaker D: That's drain. Trying to drain your. In contact with it.
Speaker E: Trying to drain your brain.
Speaker D: So you. You each take three resolve damage. Normal damage going turn you into a book. And then. All right, I'm going to randomly roll to see who the other. Nobody hit the book.
Speaker A: Did not.
Speaker D: No. Cuz I think all you in this did. So this one goes flies it Jacques. Oh for nine. But you have two. What's your defense? All right, so what are you guys doing?
Speaker A: Oh, I'm gonna hit it again.
Speaker E: Do that.
Speaker D: The one book.
Speaker A: Hit it like a baseball.
Speaker E: Yeah, you can try and hit it first. Well, that'll hit y. I want to shoot you if you swing.
Speaker D: No, you guys are like, what you all.
Speaker E: I haven't rolled.
Speaker D: Oh, if it's calamitous failure, you have a chance of hitting him, but otherwise you roll.
Speaker E: If I saw catch going in between swing first.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: And I got six for damage.
Speaker D: D. Then if it still like he.
Speaker E: Hits it and it flies up and I shoot it.
Speaker D: Yeah, it's. He tore like a chunk out of like, see like chunks of paper that got ripped out. It's still flying.
Speaker A: I should go hit that pitch.
Speaker E: One and me eleven.
Speaker D: It hit it. Okay. Yep. That's what you needed.
Speaker E: Nine damage on that single one.
Speaker D: Yep. You'll see. You hit the spine and it like rips in half and just papers flying everywhere. What are you guys two doing?
Speaker C: I think take that book and like my pistol out. Just put it down.
Speaker E: They just start slurring words. Stealing your own personality. Start talking more.
Speaker C: Can I get an advantage since I'm like literally had it trapped?
Speaker D: It's you're like you're having like you're struggling to keep it in there because it is flapping around. And then you're also trying to grab a gun and then stuff it on the ground and shoot it. No advantage. Nope.
Speaker C: I'm gonna spend a point. Get rid of it. That's probably a good thing. 9. I'm going to RP kill it.
Speaker D: Let's do it. All right. Two RPS.
Speaker E: All right.
Speaker D: And then what's your damage? Oh, yeah.
Speaker A: 2.
Speaker D: All right. Was it near you? Get a glancing shot on it.
Speaker B: Does the book feel alive or just I mean, you're sentient.
Speaker C: I've got the.
Speaker B: The beast friend.
Speaker E: Boom.
Speaker D: And like, it feels insane. Like, furious. Like, insane periods. Like, if you're feeling anything from it.
Speaker B: I want to try and soothe it, even if I have to open myself up to the N1 a little bit.
Speaker A: Growing the posse.
Speaker E: Yeah, buddy.
Speaker A: Must be able to fly if you're going to join this posse.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker E: Yeah. To build suits so we can fly.
Speaker A: We need jet tags.
Speaker E: Pretty cool.
Speaker A: Wild west and giants Jackal building.
Speaker D: It would be.
Speaker E: We can start in the Mandalorian culture. Yeah.
Speaker D: It will be either.
Speaker C: Never remove our burial shrouds.
Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. We are the veil.
Speaker D: True. Oh. They said the nature of these books is going to make it a heroic effort. If you're gonna roll four, so. Which is a 17 plus. Okay. So if you want to roll double sixes.
Speaker B: Yeah, that's what.
Speaker D: If you want to. If you want to pour anwin into it, then we'll say that's gonna be 2d6 of corruption.
Speaker A: The books just explode when you shoot us.
Speaker E: They don't feel pain.
Speaker B: But if it's been drawing knowledge, I'm curious to know what knowledge it has as far as from the research perspective. There might be all the elderite knowledge you could ever want. Exploding it would satisfy one of that.
Speaker E: New, new imperial effect.
Speaker A: So we moved on from Elder. It's like my life. You'll just dabble in it.
Speaker B: So if I have to, no one.
Speaker E: Likes to talk to me. And he said, I'm trying to figure out.
Speaker B: Rolling to figure out how close I can get to 17. It might not even look good on the map. If I can't even get close to 17, then it's pointless.
Speaker D: Well, you obviously. I'm saying you can. You can just go straight to D6 corruption and subdue the book.
Speaker E: Oh, okay.
Speaker C: 6 corruption puts you over 10.
Speaker D: Oh, possibly it could.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: That only happens if I roll really good. And tonight, that. That's been kind of a hit and miss.
Speaker C: That means it's about to happen.
Speaker A: Yeah, we do.
Speaker B: And mutation isn't always bad.
Speaker C: Do what your character would do.
Speaker A: I'm all about mutation.
Speaker C: I know what your character would do.
Speaker A: My character would be going for it.
Speaker E: Whatever.
Speaker D: Six.
Speaker B: So that's six Corruption.
Speaker D: And you. You de. Animate the book.
Speaker A: Oh, it's just a dumb book now.
Speaker D: It's.
Speaker C: It's the last of the series.
Speaker A: And now you can read it.
Speaker D: Oh, and then, doc, you take another point of resolve. Damage. So just trying to stash your brain.
Speaker E: Put it on one.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: You get the same. Same roles again. Agility, melee.
Speaker C: I'm just spending the points. I don't care.
Speaker A: I shoot it again.
Speaker E: All right.
Speaker D: Damage.
Speaker C: 4 damage.
Speaker E: He hasn't killed it. I just clock over there. Like you need help with her. I can just put it down. He's holding it to the ground.
Speaker C: I shot it.
Speaker D: He. Yeah, he hit that time. It's still. It's still flapping around. Being active. So you guys can try and shoot shooting with Doc there. It will be a tough shot. So you'll need just kick it on the 13.
Speaker B: Watch it flop like a bird that's hit a window.
Speaker C: Now that I've hit it, I'll just kick it.
Speaker D: Wait. All right. So you.
Speaker C: Because it's doing the resolve thing on me. So I'll just kick it away to where it's.
Speaker D: You shoot at it. It's loose again.
Speaker E: 11. 11. I don't get it.
Speaker D: I don't know.
Speaker A: I'll shoot at it. I got it. 11, 12.
Speaker D: Nice. Nice.
Speaker A: Let me see. That's six dang good rules.
Speaker E: How do you want to do this?
Speaker A: It's like flapping as it's like limping. Flapping. I just drop my pistol, wind it up, squeeze and puff of paper.
Speaker C: Outside of it's got two powder birds on it from close range. Assassination attempts.
Speaker A: At least we didn't steal it. Maybe they'll like that.
Speaker E: Put it back on one of the shelves.
Speaker C: Big thing sticking out the side of wa.
Speaker D: Paper.
Speaker E: Anything else in this room?
Speaker D: No, it's all steam vents. And the books that you see are dictionaries of current languages. So the.
Speaker B: The book that I de. Animated or calmed.
Speaker E: I'd ask Ollie what language she speaks. I'm trying to find it. Dictionary of her language.
Speaker D: Yeah. You would find one from like comment from fractera. She would just say like comment but like, yeah, speaking comma.
Speaker A: I guess we'll speak any specific for generalism.
Speaker D: Yeah. You would find you can mark progress for sure.
Speaker E: The dictionary cursing in you.
Speaker A: Written by a grade schooler. You.
Speaker C: They have the exchange student presence of the.
Speaker D: So when you start reading that, looking at the book it actually like you get like you get a sense. You start getting a sense of why the book was like animated. It's just from like how you like starting to learn about the. And it's full of like dark blood magic rituals. Wow.
Speaker B: Is this like the occult book where it would really throw a twist in for sorcery?
Speaker D: No, this is. This is stuff that if you want to be a bad like this will turn like that you will be A bad guy doing this stuff. There's no gray here. This is like pure dark, evil side of the spectrum.
Speaker E: Star Wars.
Speaker B: Is there any at all in this.
Speaker E: Book or is it.
Speaker A: No.
Speaker D: You would get the sense that using this, like from your. I guess the. A little bit and all. Ollie would definitely be like, talking to you that she. Like. She would. If you. If you want to be an enemy of light, then walk that path. There is no coming back from that path.
Speaker A: Is that power?
Speaker C: Oh, it says, I will say What. What path are you on?
Speaker D: The path of the gray. Necromancy is gray.
Speaker A: It's like cloudy.
Speaker D: And then let me go pick it up because she would actually mention that she follows the. Like she walks the path of the anwin and uses the. The power of the on wind, which she would tell you is gray.
Speaker A: Like your gun.
Speaker B: It's neither good nor bad.
Speaker A: It's just a tool. You're a tool. What are you progress?
Speaker B: No, not really. I'm trying to figure out. Orzine was sealed.
Speaker A: Oh yeah.
Speaker D: You're looking for the.
Speaker E: Location super long time ago.
Speaker B: And we haven't really found anything.
Speaker E: We gotta get back to the library.
Speaker B: I totally asked. Ollie's like, so this book is so dangerous. Do we destroy it before leaving? Do I hide it in the back of the shelf or toss it in the air and fly free?
Speaker D: She like. She goes, I'm indifferent to what you. If you wish to destroy it, then destroy it. This is a library of all things. So. And has a place here. Then that knowledge will probably just be found again somewhere else in the library.
Speaker B: I find a nice soft, safe spot on the shelf and I slide it in.
Speaker D: And she goes, if. If it makes you feel better, then burn it. Destroy it.
Speaker B: I just know I don't need it.
Speaker D: And then I. I hoped that it.
Speaker B: Would be something in there that I could use.
Speaker D: But. But she. Doc, she would have mended that on.
Speaker B: The idea of a journal.
Speaker D: She specifically uses the hero Socorro, which.
Speaker B: Is.
Speaker D: The energy of the onward as we're traveling.
Speaker B: Could you teach me some of that? Because right now I'm picking up a lot of corruption due to a lack of focus. I fear I'm getting scattered.
Speaker D: I mean, I will be more than happy to teach you when we get out of here. And one of the first things we'll need to do is give you a focus.
Speaker B: Or a Patreon or thing could become a patron.
Speaker E: She.
Speaker D: And how much have you told her about or zine?
Speaker B: We mentioned a little bit of the history that we knew because it looked like she Was about as old as he might be. That was before we knew Fractera.
Speaker D: Yeah. And then when she was asking about. I guess when you guys shared Bell and how much I guess and like the church. She probably would have. She would offer. Would she be cautious with him? He was put away for a reason.
Speaker A: True.
Speaker D: Was or Z. That's like. That's what her. From what you guys shared, you guys don't know much about Mithrasity.
Speaker B: Audrey just knows the. The church stories.
Speaker D: Yeah. Which as you've probably have come to realize aren't very accurate.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker D: Especially after your interaction with Luna. With man on Luna and the head librarian and. Yeah. We probably need to end here. Do our end of session stuff.
Speaker E: She stays on our plane.
Speaker A: It's been longer than I thought. Actually cu.
Speaker E: She ain't going to go like unless she can get her physical form back. She ride out with the church hunter down.
Speaker B: Well, that's another reason why I was kind of asking about the verse. Like she went to see or zine.
Speaker E: And then she can't regrow skin.
Speaker B: Might be able to help.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: And then if she's stuck is weak Elder body. That's where it's at.
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker E: Someday.
Speaker B: The elder Rat Man.
Speaker D: Not Iron Man.
Speaker A: The elder. Elder Rat Man. I like that. New Go Ash Golem. Let's go.
Speaker E: Yeah. Gonna be the dragon age way where we have to put a spirit into the stone.
Speaker C: That's what I was expecting.
Speaker B: So you gotta find the anvil.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: Character. I'll do it.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker E: The deep roads to find the anvil.
Speaker D: There we go. Yeah. You might find doors if you dig deep enough. That'd be wild.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Did we learn something important about the world?
Speaker E: We learned about Fractaro.
Speaker D: Yep. All right. RP point.
Speaker E: There we go.
Speaker D: Did we overcome a notable monster or enemy? The bird.
Speaker E: I don't know.
Speaker C: The bird was off me.
Speaker A: We blasted spiders and then we fought the librarian.
Speaker C: I would say yes, because librarians were the first time that we really thought.
Speaker E: Yeah. I wasn't sure how strong they were.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker E: Yo.
Speaker D: Did we loot a memorable tread?
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: We got the.
Speaker E: We got the coins. We learned about a new material, I.
Speaker B: Think from the sandwiches.
Speaker E: Best answers we've ever had.
Speaker D: Did we solve a problem without violence?
Speaker C: I don't think so.
Speaker B: I got corrupted for it.
Speaker D: But you did. Yeah. You did solve a book. So yes, you did solve a problem. All right.
Speaker A: Thank you for earning me that.
Speaker D: Any particular lowlights or highlights?
Speaker E: Just hard finding sandwiches was a highlight.
Speaker D: Are we liking the initiative thing or would you guys rather just more like the free flow. Because it doesn't. So I'm not sure if it matters a whole lot for this system.
Speaker A: What's like it's. It seems like it's just either before.
Speaker D: Enemies or after enemies essentially. Yeah. That's generally what it is.
Speaker E: That's the only good thing about it. Like you can roll good enough. You can act before the enemies.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: I like that. Know that.
Speaker E: And that can help out.
Speaker A: But it's still. I like that it's nebulous enough that if you're in that group, you don't. You can go in whatever order makes sense.
Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker C: It changes planning. Like you can't hold actions and stuff, so it changes planning. Sometimes you want to do something with a person.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: That's if you're in the wrong group.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker E: Or you can let someone else go first.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: I'll. I'll double check into some of that stuff. But I don't remember if there was a mention and if. And if there isn't, we may just add that anyways because I don't think it will break anything really. I mean this is a pulpy system and you guys are supposed to be a robot.
Speaker E: Your stats are enough.
Speaker C: Then it's not even the. Like the whole action is just the example but like the ability as a group to do interesting options.
Speaker A: Combos.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Just like you're coming down. Like I want to hold the gun and surprise the thing when it comes out.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Take a shot. You know, even if things not surprised. We'll play that out. But then. Then it's our role play of this is how we would want it to play out. But then you judicate. Nope, that's not going to go well.
Speaker B: You know that very different.
Speaker C: Right.
Speaker B: The cash fell down and as soon as it poked its head down the hole.
Speaker A: Right.
Speaker C: We got a couple.
Speaker D: Yeah. Blow it away.
Speaker C: Or it knows that and we learned that it knows that and it, you.
Speaker B: Know, pokes its head around and.
Speaker D: Right.
Speaker B: Didn't get killed right then.
Speaker D: Right.
Speaker C: Or drops his nest on her head.
Speaker D: So you know, who knows?
Speaker B: Like it goes back for the crossbow.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker A: That's what the arms are for.
Speaker C: I want you to know. You said like blankie arms the whole time. All I'm imagining is the subreddit of like always the birds with the super muscular arms. Yep.
Speaker D: That's. That's like the picture ended up. I don't know. Ended up having to actually let me check my journal entries. I think I. I think I did put a picture in here. I did.
Speaker C: I've Been using freeform.
Speaker D: That's cool.
Speaker C: For the. The map of where we've gone.
Speaker E: Oh, no.
Speaker C: Like, this is my version of.
Speaker A: That's a freaky bird.
Speaker C: That burn.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: Yeah. That's what it.
Speaker E: Yeah, exactly.
Speaker A: When we're. When we either die or get out of here. I want like a file of that free form thing. Yeah. I feel like it'd be a good moment.
Speaker C: Like a different like note tool because I can have like stuff for my character. Yeah.
Speaker D: Oh, nice.
Speaker C: Move over.
Speaker D: That's like. That's almost how my really nice. My software is working.
Speaker C: Yeah, your software is like building over time. Pretty cool.
Speaker D: Yeah, I. I should. I need to. It's almost. I said I can't.
Speaker E: You can.
Speaker D: So I could send. Add you to the repo and you can just make a Mac build. I say yes.
Speaker C: Compile it.
Speaker D: Yeah. You could also use it. I should actually just put the web version on too, which would be good enough. Next system for sure. I almost. I have display stuff working. I'm working on the map side now. And then get rid of Foundry.
Speaker E: Foundry. The tank.
Speaker D: Yes, it is.
Speaker C: I love Foundry, but it's definitely complex.
Speaker D: Yeah. Well, it's.
Speaker A: For this type of game.
Speaker C: It's a little engineered.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: It's just gonna be slow.
Speaker D: It's a pig. Because it's all JavaScript. Yeah. You throw up.
Speaker C: It just needs to be more frameworked. I think it's got like nine frameworks in it.
Speaker D: It's. It's just like any other web app that's not done well. It's just big and slow and it's. And they keep rewriting stuff and breaking the APIs for everything. So people have to constantly update modules and then. And then like mods and add ons get broken. So like you're stuck on. Yeah, it's. It's a version. Yeah. Which is good that like you can stick on a prior version, but you also. Then if you're like playing like 5e or path minor 2e or something where you need the system to be updated, you're like screwed because you could like destroy your entire campaign. Yeah.
Speaker A: I think Cyberpunk Red, you have to play on like an older version.
Speaker D: If I remember correctly.
Speaker A: Maybe that's changed by now, but I don't know.
Speaker D: Yeah. That's why it's annoying. And that's one thing I'm building from mine that is like you can use any version of Feedback version.
Speaker A: I like Boundary for Pathfinder and Starfinder. I think that's it. Honestly, I think it's too much for Other systems.
Speaker D: So I'm just using like a generic like just using their simple sandbox system. Because I don't. Yeah, I just, I need it for map display and it works better than map tools. And the other ones, and most of the other ones don't have a way for the GM to control the view. So someone else would have to have like have the display computer move stuff which would be annoying but doable. Let's see, any long term goals, Any new stuff since we get out of.
Speaker E: The library, try and get our knowledge and get out.
Speaker D: Well, this is. That's long. Like this is long term sub. Next session, I guess. Okay.
Speaker A: How many floors did we make it up? We started on 34. Five.
Speaker E: We did.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: Three is going up.
Speaker A: We made five floors.
Speaker E: We're getting there.
Speaker D: We did went through. We went through like eight. Eight or nine rooms.
Speaker A: Six more sessions.
Speaker D: Guys that work. I mean. Well, we never like, you guys I think are finally. I think once you. I think you're getting close enough that you'll get out of the stupid tangled passages.
Speaker E: The next session we're doing something else.
Speaker D: Oh yeah. You're. You're gone next weekend.
Speaker A: I'm gone next weekend. And then I'm back and I'm gone. And then I'm finally done with this.
Speaker C: And then I had a work trip appear this past week and I'll be.
Speaker D: Gone 22nd through the 28th and I.
Speaker C: Have no idea what that schedule looks like it was.
Speaker D: So I'll be.
Speaker C: I'll be here next week.
Speaker D: Yeah, next week. And I'll probably play a game. And then 26. You're gone and then.
Speaker A: But I'll be here.
Speaker D: But Wes is here. So we don't do Coyote game. Unless you guys want to do. Yeah. Or if you guys. I mean, I guess that's more table call slash Paul's call. If you guys want to do Sabicola the 26th one call is not here. Or do other coyote gang.
Speaker A: I want to try out the frontier Scum system.
Speaker E: We could do that because I mean if we're just going to keep going.
Speaker D: Up, we're going to go through one.
Speaker E: Four if Paul's not here. I think we went up five floors.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker E: So we did another five. Like we could miss stuff.
Speaker A: Yeah. And he already missed one library.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: And then are you gone the third or are you here this.
Speaker A: Yeah, the third is. That's the last one that I have plans to not be solar.
Speaker D: Three sessions. So. Okay.
Speaker A: Yeah, sounds like it.
Speaker D: Let me write them down. So basically missed. Okay.
Speaker A: If you guys Want to play this next time? I'm good with that because, I mean, I. I only have three progress left. I'll probably get it.
Speaker B: I don't want the.
Speaker A: Miss it.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker E: 19.
Speaker A: Yeah. So. And then. And then we don't go three weeks without playing this.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: I got like four points tonight.
Speaker A: Three or four.
Speaker D: That's true.
Speaker E: You got like all the points tonight.
Speaker D: Okay, so I guess no points.
Speaker E: I need like four.
Speaker D: Not done.
Speaker B: I need seven.
Speaker C: So I guess I think you guys should play seven.
Speaker B: Depends on what you're looking for.
Speaker E: That's truly good.
Speaker D: You guys want to do. Okay, so.
Speaker E: Yeah. Next week.
Speaker D: Okay, so 19th.
Speaker B: Because you needed otherworldly knowledge.
Speaker D: 19Th. The next session is SA. Well, every. All of it's savage but will be del Riders. So we'll be back in the library next week and then the week after that we'll do Coyote Gang. And then probably Coyote Gang again. Yeah.
Speaker E: Mm. Come back in the carousel. We'll be all dead in the library. Have a way to climb up like the ceiling to like 12T.
Speaker D: They're like 8.8foot.
Speaker A: Oh yeah.
Speaker E: Those cash can climb walls.
Speaker A: I was the one doing all that and I only just disappeared. You guys won't even know.
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker E: Never exist.
Speaker C: Be like, how did we do this last time?
Speaker A: All these holes?
Speaker B: Are the floating brains still with us?
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Yes. Because they. They said they'll come with you.
Speaker A: And Ollie can fly.
Speaker B: Are they strong enough or.
Speaker E: Ollie could do it.
Speaker B: Could be right. Of brain are.
Speaker D: No, they're human sized brains. But I will. Let me think on that and do it. Look at them a little bit. But they may just be able to levitate you. That'd be nice. But Ollie can fly, so she could actually. She can. She could get through the ceilings if needed. Or you should blast the. Blast the ceiling with the cross. Okay. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker A: Grappling hooked up or something?
Speaker D: Yeah. So all 18.
Speaker B: I'm watching the fire.
Speaker D: Like backdraft.
Speaker B: Flames are making their way across the ceiling.
Speaker A: Actually, it was just on fire.
Speaker D: See, the flying brains can levitate.
Speaker E: We'll figure it out.
Speaker D: Yes. So they could. They could.
Speaker B: It was just.
Speaker D: They could float.
Speaker B: Are they strong enough to handle the extra weight or is it mind over matter?
Speaker D: No, they. They would just levitate you. So they. They just float you up through the hole. Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah. So 19th. So next week, Bill Writers, Coyote Game, Coyote Gang, and then back to Bill Writers.
Speaker A: Expect you guys to be out when I get back.
Speaker E: Speed run, man.
Speaker C: That's the goal.
Speaker B: You come back and you're somewhere in the library.
Speaker D: And we're gone.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: But there's a hole in the ceiling.
Speaker A: It tells me where to go.
Speaker C: You'll just be in the tea room with the food and just want a.
Speaker A: Hole all the way up.
Speaker B: Oh, the resolve damage the problem. I took on kitchen books.
Speaker D: Oh yeah. You would half of it. You would lose half of it rounded down. Okay.
Speaker B: Just like regular.
Speaker D: Yes, exactly the same. And then the rest of it it turns into lasting.
Speaker B: Because that's something me.
Speaker A: I don't know if I'll remember.
Speaker D: Yep. Well you should. Yeah. So. Yeah. Okay. Let's see. Okay. I got all that written down.
Speaker B: To my first mutation. It was a good book. It was a happy book.
Speaker E: Never used my weird power yet.
Speaker A: It'll be an important day.
Speaker E: Haven't been in dire straits for you.
Speaker B: Audrey's starting to just toilet fire.
Speaker A: Yeah, it's ramping up. Getting more reckless. I love it.
Speaker E: I would have said if that we're getting hit with the weird and we're actually using our weird power to deflect it. Probably would have heard some growls.
Speaker D: Like feral growl.
Speaker E: Yeah. That one had been jock growling. Yeah. Actually using.
Speaker D: Yeah. You. You deflect it.
Speaker E: It would have been.
Speaker D: Yeah. The anwin. Like the weird and you rose up.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: The deflector old person spells on you.
Speaker E: That would have been exciting if we all got failed in our own hole.
Speaker D: Now you guys would be up until they knocked you out. And then it would be game brothers.
Speaker B: And we'd have to find our way out again. Would they take this back alive or were they just eliminating us from you?
Speaker E: We'd end up in the jars.
Speaker D: They either jar your brains or turn you into phantoms. And all of you I guess would have explained would share that to you that they turn spirits. Like when you die in here. Your spirit doesn't leave here. It's stuck. You die in real life, you're stuck here. And then if the librarian's catch you, they destroy you basically and turn your soul into power source get juiced.
Speaker E: I remember what that dumb saying was from you dying again. You died.
