Our Story in Fracterra

How it started

The party found themselves in The Cube of Chaos…

Session 1

After some close calls, brilliant plays and luck, our party of adventures has completed six rounds in the cube of chaos. Will they make it to the end?

Session 2

The party survived three more rounds in the cube of chaos with smart thinking and good plays. They were awarded 90c each and the Infinite Book. After the match they met Professor Theudebert with and expedition offer to consider over breakfast. Darrius went hunting in Granite Town, was discovered, caught twice, bribed the guards and was marked with a kill on site, if he ever shows his face in Granite Town again.

We find the party just arriving at The Ogre and Beaver for the meeting with Prof. Theudebert.

It is the 9am on Wednesday the 11th of Reap, 467 ps.

Session 3

The party met with Prof Theudebert, had a lovely breakfast at the The Ogre and Beaver, meeting Quag and Tickles. After some negotiations a deal was agreed upon, 40c up front, 100c on return and 10% worth of loot found in the crypt, and departure was set for the 13th of Reap.

After shopping at the Raven Depot and Otto finding a very stylish shield at The Smelly Kite, the party meet up with Prof. Theudebert and was introduced to Prof two assitants, Dallas (human) and Hodierna (halfling) and Quartermaster Thymand(dwarf) and his tortoise Earl.

While scouting Ellie and Stitch, found ruins with a banshee, a green cactus with blue spines and a black ring, ~50ft across, of obsidian like crystal 5 humanoid dried up creatures with the same crystal like spikes coming out of their bodies. Darrius and Stich investigated and found out they are drawn to life and fast.

Session 4

The party vanquished the obsidian oil creatures, had a short interaction with a nomadic tribe, finished traveling to the Crypt of the Science Wizard and had a scuffle with Dallas.

The entrance was underwater at the bottom of an oasis, Ellie swam down to the entrance of the crypt, found a loose brick and pulled out, causing the door to open and begin emptying the oasis. Darrius was in the process of retrieving a small canteen at the base of the door when Ellie opened it, sucking him and Ellie into the opening.

Ellie swam to the side while Darrius fell in to a trap door. He turned into a bat to avoid falling 20ft into boiling water.

The rest of the part entered and began exploring. Stitch found a fake door and suspicions warrior statues with gold breastplates to the north. Shad found two maps. Ellie found casks for honey wine.

Heading south Otto and Stitch found a new hallway with a checkered floor pattern, three switches on the wall and a pit with a beam across it at the far end.

Session 5

The party defeated their most dangerous foe yet, the dreaded rotating plank of sparkling fiery death. They discovered a large collection of antique books and scrolls, discovered a tomb chamber with a whole in the sarcophagus. Stitch climbed down the whole and discovered a hidden treasure room. After unleashing a swarm of beetles, Stitch and Darrius returned to the treasure room and acquired jewelry and fruit.

After the treasure room the party discovered a hidden door. Breaking through the plaster, you discovered a very rotted heavy wood door.

Session 6

The party found another false tomb, unleashed a blast of freezing air and mold. With some encouragement from Prof. Theudbert the party searched for more secret rooms and found two more. One contained powerful magic related to necromancy, blood, sacrificially, summoning, dark magic, etc. All the books are bound with uncured flesh. The other room appears to be the real crypt with two sarcophaguses, magnetic sand and a sealed hatch with two square indentions.

Session 7

The party defended their camp from a group (6 large, 1 huge) of scorpions, collected their parts and completed their recovery days and recovered more scrolls of knowledge. The following morning the party entered the tomb and opened the sarcophaguses awakening the the twin sleeping concubines beginning a desperate fight in which Dallas would have been killed if not for Shad's intervention.

Session 8

Concubines defeated, sand monsters defeated, four stone soldiers defeated! Loot collected! Share increased to 20%.

It is the 30th of Reap the last day before leaving, your are in the lobby having just finished destroying four of the eight stone statues.

Session 9

The party executed a near perfect plan to deal with the remaining four statues, defeated them recovering their gold breastplates. After sealing the secret library room up with a cave in the party set off on the two week journey back to Deadhallow. First was pretty quiet, with the only danger being a large poisonous sand field, which Stich collected some samples of.

Week two started off with discovery of an unknown crypt. The prof said they can stay for a day, since they have been making good time.

The party entered the tomb, fought some very large tick creatures in the east wing and Otto found a large sum of coins in a sunken crate.

The party opened the sealed door with a shoulder check by Otto, and with a loud crash and rush of damp cold air, that smells faintly of mildew and earth, the stone slab smashed in the floor. “Do not disturb the dead.”

Session 10

Exploring past the sealed stone door with the words “DO NOT DISTURB THE DEAD” written on it the party discovered a semi flooded ruin. Open more sealed doors the party discovered a shadow creature who snuffed out their lights and began attacking the party, Stitch ran away. With some careful maneuvering by Shad with a light source, the creature was defeated, leaving behind a ball bearing, which Stitch quickly scooped up and pocketed.

Next the part found a flood room and Otto slapped the water, with a great sound of rushing water and terrible overwhelming stench of rancid meet a undead/rotten pteradon bust from the water. The party was all stunned by such a sight and smell, except for Stitch, who was unfazed and promptly jumped on its back. Ellie through her lantern at it, but missed and hit the wall causing flaming oil to land on Darrius, Stitch and the pteradon. Darrius ran for the water, while the rest of the party dispatched the creature. The creature spilled a large pile of coins from its innards and with some exploration of the flood room recovered a treasure hoard.

Exploring deeper the party found a room filled with writings and binding runes with the name Arinax specified. Shad knew the name but only had an ill feeling of dread about it. Deeper in the party found a silver coffin wrapped in gold chains with more binding runes inscribed on the walls. A sealed stone box with Shad's clockwork symbol was in the room, which Otto quickly picked up and hid on himself.

Stitch found a secret door down.

Session 11

Shad saw time flowing differently around Otto, like he was stone in a river. Confronted Otto showed Shad the box he found with Shad's clockwork on it. The party decided to wait till later to open it and descended the stairwell behind the secret door Stitch found. The party found a mostly flooded level and explored two rooms encountering 6ft long black water slugs. After battle, some close calls, and Stitch acquiring two forms of slime sacks, the party then retreated from the Crpyt of Arinax. That night, before bedding down they walked off for some privacy, so Shad could open his box. Shad found a compass and a letter in his own writing, Shad began reading, like a bolt of lightning and a vision of the past battle of the Shattering, which the party bore witness to, Aelekes, Keeper of Time, remembered his name and who he used to be.

It is night on the 11th of Kinship in the year 467as.

Session 12

The party fought a group of winged gorilla, stork things, Ellie and Darrius found a wounded pteradon and Ellie had in brought with them with the help of Thymand. Ellie and Darrius discovered an ancient abandoned farm. The party finally arrived back at the great city of Deadhallow. The party got invited to a banquet at the Lothran family estate on the next Friday (25th of Kinship). The party has settled in at the Wax Juggler and Darrius and Stitch went out that night with Stitch “acquiring” his fancy clothes for the banquet and a piece of paper with four numbers on it. The next morning Ellie checked on Rum Runner and the party set out to shop and sell their booty.

It is the 19th of Kinship in the year 467as at 8:30 in the morning.

Session 13

Otto got armor commissioned, Stitch and Viserra did some bonding over poison craft while Darrius took a nap. Ellie and the Prof sold the books. Ellie and Hail sold gems. Otto bought a champagne colored suit from the Smelly Kite, the suit smells of manure. Stitch and Darrius headed to The Tempest Casino

It is the 19th of Kinship in the year 467as at 10:30 in the morning.

Session 14

Shopping, Gambling, Stealing and deal making. At the Tempest Casino, Stitch gamble and lost a bunch of money and then followed the winner out and stole their coin purse, hid the coins in the sewer and stashed the coin purse on another person. Darrius tried to mesmerize an ogre bouncy, failed, got thrown out and banned. He came back at night and snuck in, to meet with pit boss Myalinden, after some chit chat, she offered him a test job to retrieve an item from the Lothran manor.

It is evening of the 19th.

Session 15

The party attended the banquet, meeting the Prof's parents (Basina & Riquier), the university headmaster (Hancock) and a kings rep (Phaendar of the Wintermoons) along with several other nobles and merchants (10 contacts). The banquet was relaxed with a lot of eating, drinking, dancing, and storying telling. After the banquet the Profsessor is giving a tour to party, show casing a lot of ancient artifacts, books, and maps. You are all in a very nice, comfy room with plush chairs and a fireplace, looking at various artifacts with the Prof answering any questions you have.

Session 16

While the party was getting a tour of the Lothran family manner, Darrius spotted the item he was to “acquire” for Mylinda and Hale spotted a Keeper of Time box on the mantel. The party discovered the Lothran's have been watching over this box since the shattering when Alekeys gave it to them. Upon proving it was his Hale opened it, finding a pendant and a forgotten ally in the Lothran family.

The party spent the following two weeks taking care of various things, Ellie, training with Rum Runner, Otto built a simple golem, which tried to hug Stitch, Stitch attempted to eat it wrecking it in the prosses. Later Stitch brought Otto a “better” golem in the form of a small child. Hale was able to return the child to its distraught mother before anything terrible happened.

Darrius spotted a Servants of Death squad getting closer to where he was staying, so with the party looking into their two maps, Stitch wanting to go to Ind, and Hale getting a sense for another Keeper box, the party has booked passage on the airship Azrael and are on the way to Solaris before heading to the Isle of Ind.

It is the 9th of Eventide.

Session 17

The party a quite trip on the Azrael, with Otto taking a flight on Goliath with Boomer, to check out a flying cloud castle / observatory. Arriving at Solaris, during a winterfest celebration, Darrius immediately got into a sticky situation with a guard patrol demanding an “entrance fee”. Darrius tried to talk his way out if it, but the guards wouldn't have it. Stitch intervene from a upper window with a slug sack fully of slime, turning it into a literal sticky situation for the guards, allowing Darrius to disappear into the crowd. That night Darrius and Stitch tracked the guard to his home, where they found him asleep with a child and a woman. Darrius drained the guard of blood, and Stitch left a coin over each eye. All done with silent precision.

That evening the party talked about comeback and liberating the city from the corrupt guards.

The following day Shopping at the Mad Kraken, Stitch found poisons and a poisons book and Ellie met Natasha a fellow Forsaken Islander, who invited her for drinks at the Pesky Giant at 730pm.

Session 18

Ellie met with Natasha and learned of her impounded ship, Loyal Javelin, and about her and what's left of the crew trying to earn enough money to get the Loyal Javelin out and repaired so they can leave this place of scum and villainy. After some negations the party bought the Loyal Javelin and are having it towed by the Azrael to Ind while repairs are being done.

Stitch taught Otto some choice words in quickish and spent time at The Nugget gambling and giving the galloping trots to a patron while stealing their money, earning a lot of coins which he gave to Ellie for the ship.

Darrius “befriended” the shipwright and got a discount on repair materials.

Session 19

The party arrived at the great city of Kald on the Ilse of Ind and discovered a very busy, lush with greenery and clean city. After acquiring more supplies, mounts, and leaving instructions and coin with Snickers the party set out on the trade road to Psygen. Ellie and Stitch scouted the way ahead on Rum Runner and discovered some ruins in the jungle. Early in the morning the party was ambushed by an ogre raiding party which almost ended Otto's existence. Among the bodies was some coin, a map to an ogre village, and a flask of Devilsbane Oil. Setting off into the jungle Otto blazed a trail to the ruins.

Session 20

The party entered the ruins finding yellow mold, traps, and LOTS of rats. It was not with out its rewards as the party found 3 magical items and a bunch coins and small jewels

Session 21

The journey continued on the road to Psygen.

While scouting Ellie, saw a Sycorex (p464) flying on the horizon, a stone hedge like structure with a scorched mark in the center and glowing runes, a crystal cave on a mountain, a natural hot spring and something large which seemed to be following the party.

Hale heard his name called, by Rah'thul in barely audible whisperings from the farsight orb, no one else heard this.

16th of Veiled 467as, weather is downright terrible, winter monsoon, pouring rain, blowing wind.

Session 22

The party woke up to downright terrible weather, pouring rain, blowing wind and 25ft tall regal giant clad in gold plate mail stepping out of the jungle asking for help retrieving her golden harp. After some back and further the party cautiously followed Thiassi. Darrius scouted ahead and found the cave and its 18 ogre occupants. After much talking and planning the party finally settled on blowing the horn to pour forth food and fireball them. Stitch killed the initial two guards and the plan was set in motion. Several fireballs and many dead ogres latter the fight was done.

The party has opened two of the seven chests. Thiassi is outside eating ogres. it is still pouring rain, blowing wind.

Session 23

Thiassi's golden harp was returned and as a thank you Thiassi gave you a golden coin to summon her, with a warning to be clear of the landing zone. Looting the ogre camp rewarded lots of good stuff in crates belonging to PsyGen, including a secret entrance into the main building. Scouting the road gate revealed 150ft high wall with a 100ft no mans land at the base. The gate was 100ft tall 75ft wide. There are mounted raptor patrols along the base and top of the wall. Guard changes every 2 hours. All the raptors have a glowing green gem in collar around their neck.

Hale heard his name whispered from the orb and actually saw Rah'thul when he made contact with the orb. A malevolent someone was also on the line.

It is the 19th of Veiled and raining.

Session 24

Hale heard his name whispered from the farsight stone again and reached out making contact with Rah'thul. After a brief conversion Hale and Rah'thul channeled their power and opened a portal for Rah'thul to come through. Hale filled in Rah'thul on the party and what they were getting into. Rah'thul agreed to help.

The party successfully snuck into the Psygen Compound by hiding or blending in with the caravan guards. After sneaking off, the party made there way to the secret entrance and found out it was guarded. Darrius approached stating he found a pin, immediately the guards new something was up, but Darrius was able to put them all asleep except for one. Snitch almost killed him before the alarm was raised.

Otto you have a raptor about to land on you feet and mouth first.

Session 25

Let the bodies hit the floor as the party has entered the basement. Stitch unleashed a carnosuar, many fireballs have been flung and the battle still rages

Session 26

The battle continued with the party eventually winning, but not before a necromancer arrived with a squad of non lethal weapons. Otto was knocked out with arrows, Hale and Stitch quickly assassinated the necromancer and with Ellie cleaned up the rest. The party found a map to the emergency exits. One was blocked by Otto's rock slide and Hale discovered the other was heavily guarded. With a moment to breath Darrius and Hale scouted and the party decided to move enter small lab room. Otto and Darrius began fighting over what to do with the alchemist after Darrius had killed three of them. Hale entered after turning the room into an eternity chamber and put a stop to it. The party got a rest in and as they were getting ready to move again the west door opened and you see eight soldiers with weapons ready.

Session 27

The door opened and a squad of soldiers was waiting for the party, a fireball dispatched them, but the soldiers where raised up as undead. Darrius opened a shadow portal and the party fled through it appearing underground surrounded by ratmen. Stitch talked to his leader Krunq and was able to remove the collars from Krunq and the other black furs. After some more discussion Krunq showed the party the way to the reactor. Scouting was going well until Hale discovered an anti-magic field. Hale escaped but the guards were alerted to the parties new location. The party rested for a day while waiting for Krunq to gather more ratmen. Much blowing of the horn was requested.

Krunq and black furs have been freed, You have the aid of about 1000 brown fur miners and 10 black furs.

A squad of soldiers has found you and the battle rages. After seeing stich attack without hesitation the brown furs have rallied and are swarming back towards the squad.

Session 28

Two squads of soldiers attacked from two sides. The party and ratmen defeated them but not without cost, ~190 ratmen have fallen so far. Otto polymorphed a ratmen into a rhino, which caused problems for everyone and he now has two black fur bodyguards'. Krunq, adorned in glow green gems, has ordered the ratmen to charge and they are flowing through the tunnels like a raging river.

The ratmen war for freedom rages on.

Session 29

The war rages, soldiers, necromancers, corpse monsters,  grenades, dinosaurs, and heavy loses for the ratmen, but the tide appears to be turning in their favor, at least until the horn was blown..

Session 30

The battle raged on, a massive pile of food was summoned, causing a mess and a brief break before the carnosaurs smashed through. A powder keg was summoned that almost killed Ra'thul. Hale lost his spear to ratmen. Otto was tossed by a carnosaur. Stitch was driving a carnosaur. Darrius was mind controlled attacking Otto and Ellie. Ellie and Hale tried to knock him out, while Otto attempted to kill him. Stitch ended the mind control by trampling the psy mage. Otto created and steam geyser and then a bridged over it. Gronk mutated several ratmen into giant ogres. With the combine forces of the party, a carno, several ratmen ogres, and the rest of the ratmen the enemy forces were defeated.

Sticht rammed his carno into the reactor doors, knocking out the carno. Ratmen ogres took up the beating on the doors.

Darrius came back and knocked out Otto with a dispel magic.

Session 31

Just as the reactor room was breached everyone was compelled to stop. The party was confronted by Mr. Jammond who asked the party what it would take to change course. While most of party was going back and forth, Stitch snuck off and got close to Jammond. As Jammond opened a portal Stitch appeared and stab him and followed him through the portal.

The rest of the party battled soldiers and T-Rexes while Krunq charged towards the reactor to destroy it. Otto was swallowed and almost destroyed by a T-Rex. Krunq started channeling the reactor energy while Rah'thul's summoned magic eating bear started destroying the focusing stones. The beam started to become unstable as a green bubble of energy was forming around Krunq. The enemies tried attacking but nothing was getting through the shield.

At this point the severely beaten up party teleported to Stitches location. Stitch had just survived a desperate battle with several soldiers and Mr. Jammond when the party appeared. With the sound of soldiers coming Darrius opened a portal to the Loyal Javelin. As the party started to enter, Stitch thanked them for the help in freeing his people, grab Jammond's hat. threw a bag of coins to Ellie and jumped out the window. Hale grab Jammond's cane before enter the portal. The door bust open just as Darrius entered.

You are all in the captains quarters on the Loyal Javelin.

Session 32

The party took a breath and planned out their next move. Upon leaving the captain's qaurters you impedlent noticed people turning and point. You all looked and volcano's top half is gone.

Rah'thul and Hael studied the green crystal learning it is warpstone. Progress was made in understanding the changes to the bag of holding. Mr. Jammond's cane was investigate.

Hale went shopping for supplies at the Hairy Knife and discovered the party are all wanted in Kald with a bounty of 1000c each. With a warning to not approach and contact the authorities.

The Loyal Javelin was hastily made ready and set off for The Unholy Grove.

Arriving at the Unholy Grove the party debarked and the ship was sent to loiter up high.

Entering you found a statue to the demon prince Gostoroth and traps.

Session 33

Zoktar the doorman let the party in after getting a donation of 100c each. The party was led to a worship room and offered a glowing drink as a service to Gostoroth begun. Rah'thul summoned his tree guardian and a slaughter began. Once the beastman horde was cleaned up the party continued exploring. Darrius and Ellie solved a puzzle, opening a secret vault with some nice loot. Next Darrius found an angry Air Elemental and the party proceeded to fight it, Rah'thul was almost killed before he banished it. Proceeding deeper Darruis found a sealed crate and across the hall Darrius and Hael found a room with several bodies and on arriving in the center triggered a trap, with Hael using Darrius as a shield.

Session 34

The party discovered a furious fountain, which nearly killed Otto and Ellie. Rah'thul was able to banish it back to is elemental plane of water. Hael stopped time to scout ahead and found three large auditoriums filled with beastman conducting ritual sacrifice to Gosoroth. The party rushed in after some discussion, Otto and Darrius unleashed fireballs annihilating the first room. A slaughter began, which was made more complicated when Psygen soldiers teleported in having located the party somehow.

The last shaman took the three remaining humans and tried to use them as hostages. Otto closed the gap getting hit twice by mutation magic which turned his lower half into horse legs, Hael teleported one hostage away and Ellie killed the shaman with a double headshot.

The three survivors where put on the ship and the party returned to exploring the unholy grove.

Session 35

The podium square puzzle was solved reviling a secret room filled with fungal creepers. A corpse in the room had a magical ring on it. Otto fireballed the room killing most of the fungus. Darrius kept a fungal creeper in a vial.

The party finished exploring the first level of The Unholy Grove and proceed to the second level. Two air elementals where fought. The first one was bit of a challenge, while the second one went smoothly.

Hael scouted the adjacent rooms and found a stone slab with two large refined and focused warpstone crystals at the head and foot. A mutation spell was left on the podium. Hael was able to undo Otto's transformation at the cost of gaining short legs.

Darrius found a massive tapestry in the east room and upon touching it triggered an acid trap, which filled the whole room.

The party then proceeded west finding a room full of glowing fungus and several large auditoriums filled with old beastman corpse, a war was fought here.

Going south an altar with a beetle in a glass box and a smashed water fountain with a magical shield in it where found.

Once the acid dissipated the party explored the room tapestry room again and found a secret room with a switch, which turned off the acid trap. Upon lifting the tapestry a secret hallway was found.

In the adjoining room was a chest caged in power energy fields. The party was able to find the correct switch order and retrieved one of two keys to the crypt of the science wizard.

As the loot was being loaded on to the ship Darrius tried to open one of the psygen crates and it exploded, revealing unrefined warpstone crystals, his armor absorbed the damage but not the mutating effects, his head was changed into a chameleon's head.

Hael refused to help Darrius undo the mutation.

Darrius went to his room and contacted death.

Darrius death speaks with a femininely predatory voice, You are long past your time, you must be desperate.

Session 36

Darrius made a deal with death to kill Skoll the Halfdead and Arinax's phylactery, in exchange for turning his head back. Next the party followed Hael's compass towards the southeast mountains. Upon getting close a Sycorex dove from above attacking the ship. A short but intense battle happened before the Sycorex was driven off, leaving the shipped damaged and the crew wary of the mountain. Ellie flew the ship in close to a ledge near to where the compass was pointing.

The party disembarked with Otto in the lead. The doorway sized precision cut tunnel lead a ways into the mountain to a dead-end. When Hael approached a door began to appear revealing a place to place his hand. Upon doing so, light and Keeper runes flashed to life and the door disappeared revealing Hael's Keeper of Time spear which lept to his outstretched hand, thus completing him. Stillness and silence settled around the party until Ellie's monkey threw a rock at Hael.

Boarding the Loyal Javelin the party headed towards The Forsaken Isles and Fordrock Island. They made a stop at Castaway Isle, at the town of Takaku, to purchase supplies and repair materials. Otto tried to recruit crew members, but the townfolk where extremly wary of a construct. Ellie tried again in the evening and managed to find 10 more people willing to join the crew.

The party arrived at Fordrock Isle and as the cold moon rose a small isle rose from the depths.

It is night on the 15th of Wintertide in the Year 468. What do you do?

Session 37

Night of the 15th of Wintertide in the Year 468

The party arrived at Fordrock Isle and as the cold moon rose a small isle rose from the depths.

A hundred-yard stretch of bare, black rock rising from the freezing sea. Plastered in kelp and barnacles, reeking of the deeps. A faint glow issues from the cluster of standing stones at the center of the island.

The party proceeded to take a skiff out to the isle and upon landing on narrow strip of beach Rathul could feel the isle is tethered between this plane and another.

Exploring the beach two sealed tomb doors and a path up where discovered. At the top of the path where 7 large rune engraved standing stones, the runes all where glowing faintly. A group of ghostly pirates where sitting around a campfire when Otto approached and they demanded stories of living sensations, which Otto gladly proceed to share and in such a descriptive matter they become stupefied and catatonic.

Both tomb doors were opened, the party tried to enter the one marked with a little girl and was attacked by ghostly hands. Proceeding down the Warrior door, the party entered a large room and found the rotten remains of The Sun Eater with ours moving to and fro. The boatswain wanted someone to fill the empty seat. Otto and Darrius let loose twin fireballs and a battle ensued.

The boatswain was defeated and a silver key was dropped. Otto attempted to free the ghostly crew but they just remained where they are.

2 hours have passed since the isle has appeared.

You are all in the main room with the Sun Eater, the kraken figure head is stilled.

Session 38

The party continued downward in the Cold Moon Isle. Encountering a gold skeleton nailed to a chair with gold nails and a spear. Hael touched the spear and the skeleton began screaming awaking sleeping skeletons in the sarcophagus in the room. Next they encountered a skull with glowing green eyes suspended by a chain, nobody gazed deeply into its eyes.

Hael scouted ahead and found a large room with a banquet set with several ghost carousing and skeleton heads on the table talking and sharing tall tales. Following another hallway the party found a black locked door, with glass beads that lit up when touched.

Found next was a black sand beach, water reflecting a night sky above like a mirror and a starry sky with a missing constellation, which was reflected in the water. The missing constellation as the key to opening the black door.

Beyond the black door was a small alchemist room with Morgwennan the Stormcaller trapped inside. The party mistook him for Skoll, but that was sorted quickly. After some discussion Darrius pledged to kill Skoll and find a body for Morgwennan's daughters soul.

Deeper in they found the door to Skoll's chamber. Otto told Skoll they where there to send him to Death and saved the party from a gruesome fight. Darrius used the Reaping Scythe, destroying Skoll and the Scythe. Upon Skolls destruction Darrius' head returned to normal and Rahthul felt the planar tethers weaken significantly.

The party spent the rest of their limited time loot Skoll's treasure room and escaped on their skiff as the isle faded from the realm.

You have just arrived at the town of Alora on Jade Reef Island in The Forsaken Isles. It is Friday, 17th of Wintertide, in the Year 468ps. The weather is thunder and lightning, howling winds and cold.

Session 39

Rathul was able to summon a suitable body for Morgwennan's daughter's soul, and after a intense magical ritual performed by Morgwennan his daughter was restored to him.

The party adventured out into the city of Alora, Ellie seeking the shipwright and new crewmates. Otto, with the other party members tagging along, set out to find info about the a place of power. Along the way Darrius stole money from a dwarf, which was latter used to buy a coin purse. Otto tried to get info from a shop keeper at [Creme of the Curios](381). Otto stopped by [Boar's Bronze - Armorer ](382) to have his old shield pattern added to his new shield. Next they went to the [Church of the Dream Farmer](383) looking more info on the place of power. They met priest Joe, who would help them for a coin or dream donation. Hael setup a enternity chamber and priest Joe said to comeback tomorrow.

Meanwhile Ellie met with Hillary, the head shipwright at [The New Ship - Shipwright](378) and got a deal squared away to install the figurehead, repair the ship and install a special chamber. All to be completed in two weeks. Next Ellie and Snickers filled out the crew and recruited, quartermaster Hush, navigator Largeheart, and carpenter Mills.

That evening a storm began rolling in. Saturday morning the 18th is terrible storming weather. Batten down the hatches and wait it out.

Session 40

A terrible winter storm blasted Alora lasting for 3 days and damaging the ship. Once the storm cleared Hael and Rah'thul visited Priest Joe and after generous donation learned more about the Dream Farmers place of power and got a key to the door. Ellie sold loot and the party decided to sit for two weeks while the ship was repaired.

During the two weeks: Darrius went hunting and Rah'thul went to the Fey to visit friends, family and research Arinax. When Rah'thul got back him and Darrius went to see Shrek the Musical Burlesque Edition at The Desire Theatre. After the show they went carousing and Rah'thul befriended [Shelby the fortune teller](394) and Darrius learned of a Blackport transport job.

Ellie performed the bonding ritual for the [Kraken Figurehead](380), which was witnessed by most of the city and there was city wide celebration for the day. The Stormcallers provide a spectacular lightning show.

The day after the ship repairs finished the party traveled to the [The Thorny Cliff](385) and began the descent to the place of power.

It is midmorning on the of 4th Ablution, in the Year 468. The weather is beautiful sunny clear skies.

Darrius has cast Antipathy on Otto choosing goblins as the target, it was a wise choice as beyond the first door was many goblins who began to flee as soon as Otto destroyed the door causing a massive amount of noise. Over the noise of the goblins fleeing a multitude of screeches and screams is heard above.

Session 41

  • It is midmorning on the of 4th Ablution, in the Year 468.

The party fought off a horde of gargoyles and then heard cannon fire and rushed back to the ship to see it being attacked by another horde of gargoyles. Otto made a metal on metal scrapping sound, enraging and draw all of the gargoyles attention. While the battle raged another horde of gargoyles came from the tower. Ellie used her bond with the kraken head to summon tentacles, smashing most of the gargoyles out of the sky. After the gargoyles where defeated the party headed back into the caves.

After some debate about how to proceed down, the party deployed and rope climb down, except for Rah'thul who used his powers to summon a staircase of roots and casually walked down.

Otto found several traps with his face and one of them was a grease slide trap, which got set on fire when he tried to stop his slide with his blade. At the bottom was a horde of goblins, which almost finished Otto off.

The party has caught up to Otto after dealing with the flaming grease.

Session 42

The party continued down, fighting their way through goblins, jumping a pit as fireballs flew at them. Ellie found some loot. Rah'thul made a bridge and stairs of roots and vines. The goblins disturbed some gargoyles which attacked Otto. Otto created a tunnel. Rah'thul created a wall of vines. Darrius found the bottom of a pit trap. Hael found a goblin shaman and was blinded. Otto is prone covered in goblins.

Session 43

The party cleaned up the globlins and Darrius dispelled Hael's blindness. Otto cut open a door and found a horde of fire beetles behind it, and was almost turned to slag, but Rah'thul summoned the powers of Pandemonium, unleashing yeath hounds and causing the ceiling to collapse on the hounds and fire beetles.

Darrius was aerate by a bullet trap, but found a chest on the other side. Inside was a cloak of fire protection and Torment Cage wand.

More fire beetles where found and Rah'thul summoned a box of grenades. The party snuck past the fire beetles but found a horde of gargoyles, which was chased away when Darrius casted Antipathy on Otto.

Deeper in the party came upon a crane and a deep chasm, which Rah'thul summoned a spiral staircase for the party to descend. At the bottom Otto almost got slapped by a roper, but Hael and Ellies quick reactions ended it. The party found a near straight drop, which was overcome with the immovable rod and rope.

The next challenge was a large open cavern with multiple openings. Darrius scouted and found the likely location they needed to proceed down. Rah'thul summoned staircase to reach it. Two more vertical shafts were overcome with rope and the immovable rod.

Finally at the bottom the party found the entrance to the place of power and proceed down.

Session 44

They party encountered Clan Chebs and was escorted by Sleerm to the place of power. The ritual to return the bag was a success, Otto added a new power to his sword magic and Rah'thul refilled Peacesong. Darrius created a portal back to the Loyal Javelin. Hael stepped through and found himself in the presence of Carasil, Divinity of Time. Hael learned of three more allies for his quest to finish Arinax and end his threat to the timeline. Arbory, Cassius, and Gromm. Cassius is trapped in a soulstone and Arbory and Gromm will be found when looked for.

Session 45

The party enjoyed the Arbory and Gromm show at the Wax Juggler and after some discussion and ability demos, Arbory and Gromm joined the party. More supplies where purchased and the party left Deadhallow and proceeded into the Blood Plains to Arinax's Sunken Crypt.

Once at the crypt the party proceeded down into the sunken part. Rah'thul created vine bridges to cross the water. Otto scouted ahead killing several large slugs. The portal was opened and the party went through into the unknown.

Otto was first through and was confronted by a manticore, which he swiftly turned into steaks. A fight ensued with the whole party against, draugrs and a group of ghouls.
