Garbage and Glory
AI generated from session transcription and edited.
Speaker A: It looks.
Speaker B: The more I look at it, the more I get a feeling it's whatever stat you're planning to roll on. And that base stats, what you're using, that's your currency for deciding if you're going to buy a skill or whatnot.
Speaker C: Yo. See if this survives the session.
Speaker B: The first time I was looking through that's just overpowered. So if you've got a three and lower and you're rolling on lower. So now you've got six points. Are you ever gonna fail?
Speaker C: Oh, if you. No, you'd only like. Mine is like. So if I'm like trying to speak. I have three manipulations. But I start with two dice for the skill. Yeah. I would be able to manipulate or add more dice three times. Oh yeah. I don't remember is I didn't. Maybe I just didn't see it or didn't look far enough as if we start with cards. I don't remember.
Speaker B: I think so. I think we start with two glory and three garbage.
Speaker D: You do somewhere.
Speaker C: Yeah. I like. I remember hearing like five.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: But max hand at any given time is 10. 10.
Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. I do remember those. Glory Garden.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: The round of shape.
Speaker C: Yes.
Speaker B: And that the cards like the. The space or something sharp. The hearts are something soft. So that would be anything that. That bends. So if you've got to tie something it would be a hard card. Diamonds are just shiny. They're unique. And then clubs are hard and jokers are wild.
Speaker C: And these decks of cards do jokers that be.
Speaker B: Nice shirt. Nice.
Speaker C: Yep. So blue is the garbage deck and red is our glory deck.
Speaker B: Oh.
Speaker C: They're also different sizes. That's good too.
Speaker B: So this is taking place in the legendary on sea waste disposal. The what? Muncie Waste Disp. A long sought after trove of trashy treasure. The group of characters you're known as the Mask will be exploring the twisting tunnels and depths of garbage all while avoiding patrolling ogres. There's also a potential for flooding to either push the characters out or to a worse fate depending on the tone of your group. And this is decided on. So grand selection. You three made the final cut. They're getting ready to start it. The legends of the Muncie Waste Disc are incredible. And this is your opportunity to add your names to the legend or be forever swallowed into the garbage shirt. Yeah. As those that attempted but were unable to return.
Speaker A: Which is Thursday.
Speaker B: Yeah. So you're. You stand before the entrance of the Muny Waste Disp. The treasure said to be left untouched by cootes and rat bandits. Thanks to the outpouring water from the entrance and the tales of armor clad ogres patrolling the beautifully dank and filthy tunnels. Bits of garbage Bob in the shimmering oily water. Damask stands in a promise of the trove that must be within. You are not here for paltry bits and baubles, but for the true treasure deep within the Muncie waste disposal. Rumors and tales abound. All the treasures filtering through here at some point. Piles of shimmering shinies as tall as a tree. As three raccoons standing on each other's shoulders. Pointy bits to hone into legendary weapons and tools packed into bundles the entire mask would struggle to carry. You're here for the chance to leave your name, the name of your mask and the songs of the junk bards. For the story to be told to the kits and the gathered gazes during Earth Day celebrations now till eternity. You're here for garbage and glory.
Speaker C: Oh yeah.
Speaker B: Oh no.
Speaker C: Charge our faces.
Speaker A: Plane just drowns you in the water.
Speaker C: Yeah. I don't know if you could round.
Speaker A: Up shape, just float.
Speaker B: Well at least you didn't change your name to Bob keeps turning over.
Speaker A: Somebody help.
Speaker B: So are you going in as well known for for your mask or was this from a competition to get you here? You're meeting for the first time.
Speaker C: I don't. I mean let's see what the dice say. We know each other or we don't.
Speaker D: Yeah, pretty much.
Speaker C: All right. Odds we don't even as we do. Oh we don't.
Speaker B: So you look at each other wondering who is daring to go into the messy disposal challenging the lore. You greet each other. How did, how do you look? How do you green. It is it just with a growl and a, a little bit of a mask hiss.
Speaker D: Angle for it.
Speaker C: So yeah so I, I go with like this, this smoker voice.
Speaker A: And you.
Speaker C: See like this like fat, fat raccoon like almost is round like he almost is round and he has like his like fur and he's old. He's like old looking has more like white like lots of flecks of white in his mask. It's like his bandit mask. He has like this little like a small little blue tattered wizard hat on his head. And then he hold it in one hand. It looks kind of like a, a silly like toy like mace. And then like you can see tucked into like his little like satchel. He has is a the bands of a sling but yeah and like under his chin is like it almost looks like a white beard I think. And it's because I'm Luau. I am the wise dumpster diviner.
Speaker B: And.
Speaker C: If I am feeling gracious, I may heal you, but likely will heal myself.
Speaker D: We have more.
Speaker C: No, I was looking at my other my stuff.
Speaker D: So you'd see my guy. This is, like, kind of ripped raccoon, but then, like, there's patches of fur missing from fights and scars. And on his head, he has a red airhead candy wrapper headband wrapped around inside. He wears, like, a ghee type outfit, kind of like ryu. It's just made out of, like, wax paper, so any kind of games. Then he sounds like the generic, like, oh, ninja voice from, like, the 80s and 90s.
Speaker A: Does his mouth match his words?
Speaker D: It's a skill. And then can't. His name is John Jew, and he's Wing Breaker. What was your name? John Jew.
Speaker C: John Jew, yeah.
Speaker D: Wing Breaker. You would know. He was a dumpster champion, but he's been banned from three fight clubs for using illegal banana peel moves. And his diet consists of expired energy drinks and found beef jerky. And he goes, nice to meet you.
Speaker B: You are worthy.
Speaker D: And then he carries an ax that's just made out of, like, a tin can. L.
Speaker A: You see, Korga is looking at you in awe, but he's looking at you through what appears and you hope is a clean diaper that's actually being worn as a soft helmet over his head. He's, like, thin, and his fur is all, like, completely, like, slashed in places and, like, partially burned out in places. And he's got some kind of, like, rubber gaskets that he's cut holes in the diaper to make, like, eye sockets through it. And his ears are sticking out where the leg holes would be.
Speaker B: Oh.
Speaker A: So you can't even see the black. And this almost looks cross, like, looking at you at all.
Speaker C: Right.
Speaker A: With respect and honor. And it's just kind of this, like, slightly shy voice and kind of rambling, like, it's really good to meet you.
Speaker B: I just.
Speaker A: I'm just looking for work. I'm really just excited to be part of the team. If I can help in any way, I feel me, like, you know, you know, make a trap or something. That's kind of what I do. But, you know, he just starts rambling and starts talking about his family and, like, the best trash set. And he has a bandolier that's empty with a bunch of slots that are holding trash. Except for a spot. There's a little, like, very chipped and likely dull sword and a little bow that's probably was handed down from someone else.
Speaker B: The Elder, who has led you in front of the great Flu Worm, says before you go in, you must prepare any and you've proven yourself. You have earned these. And he gives you each two glory cards.
Speaker D: Oh, is that red?
Speaker C: Yep. Red.
Speaker B: Y.
Speaker D: That's fine with me.
Speaker B: And the ogres are known to be very dangerous, so you must have garbage too. Prepare your way. And he gives you three garbage cards.
Speaker A: So we're supposed to like, try to bring garbage out? Is that our goal?
Speaker B: Yeah. Your goal is to get into the legendary stash.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker B: Of garbage and the minisi disp. And these are the the things that you gathered together to to help you accomplish this.
Speaker C: So I have my calling ability. Whenever I draw a garbage, I can draw twice and keep whatever card I want. So can I?
Speaker B: Sure.
Speaker C: Take six and then look, see if I want to.
Speaker A: Where's that? You got a skill.
Speaker B: That's his special skill character.
Speaker A: Oh, okay. Gotcha.
Speaker B: He's a diviner.
Speaker A: Nice.
Speaker C: Okay. So nice.
Speaker B: It's one of the reasons he's so round is he's been able to depict the good stuff. That's awesome.
Speaker C: Space is sharp things. Clubs is hard things. I didn't see. I guess those are all technically uses at this point.
Speaker B: Yeah. You don't know how you're going to need it or use it.
Speaker C: Yep.
Speaker B: But if you have something that you you want to craft, it does give you a nice little edge.
Speaker C: Now this garbage has discard, right?
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: You discard it and then discarded joker. It shuffles. Yeah. Okay. That's a good thing. We had double two different decks of cards. That makes it easy.
Speaker B: To put them all back where they need to be when we're done. Yeah. Max hand. You'll have it at any time. Is won't be any higher than 10. So the entrance to the Manasseh West Dip is a large circular tunnel made of shiny gray metal. It goes into the wall and deep enough into the darkness to leave the group unaware of anything further in. So it just cuts off with the light. Above the entrance. There are ancient ruins if anybody wants to read them. I'll need a Lore roll.
Speaker C: I'll go for other.
Speaker B: Okay. There's a TN of three.
Speaker C: Okay. So I have one Lore. So that's one dice and then I have three. Actually, does training count? This being trained out of dice. So you can be trained but have.
Speaker B: No training means you don't have to buy it. Otherwise. If you didn't have training in Lore, you'd have to use your. Your Stat. You'd have to spend one of them for the skill. And then.
Speaker C: Yeah, if you don't, I do. I. I have one check in. But then I have, you know, I'll just put all the rest of my three smarts to buy three more dice. So I have four dice.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: Only one success.
Speaker A: Five and six are success.
Speaker B: Yes.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: So some of the the ancient ruins look familiar, but you're unable to piece together what they mean. Kind of give it a stare. Anybody else want to go for it?
Speaker C: Yeah, we're good.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: Getting really close to it.
Speaker B: This is across this four foot. Okay. And they're big letters, kind of like it.
Speaker A: So I have, if I have one in lore, that's one die. Is that right?
Speaker B: Well that's, that means you've got the skill.
Speaker A: Okay. There's a check mark in it then.
Speaker B: Yes, Check mark. You gotta, you gotta die there for that. Okay.
Speaker A: And then I can spend your smart smarts to add dice.
Speaker B: Yes.
Speaker A: And that's temporarily spent just for this day.
Speaker B: Correct. Okay.
Speaker A: So I just roll it.
Speaker B: So you have the option. If you look through, you can just buy more dice and go for it. Or you can save some of those points and switch it. So if you had a four, you could spend one to turn it to a five and a success or do a reroll of anything that didn't succeed. Okay.
Speaker A: I'm not sure how many, but since you only got one, I'll do two dice. Let's save one for manipulation to see if I get one I can manipulate. Okay. So I have one success and a three. So if I spend a point, I can re roll this.
Speaker B: Yes. Okay.
Speaker A: And it didn't. I got one success.
Speaker B: So you squint at it and you go a little bit more cross eyed and you're left with this wonder of what the ancients have put upon the top of this hole in the menisi disp.
Speaker A: I think you're right. I don't add anything to.
Speaker B: But you say so as you come up, there's some stairs going up into the need to do a skill roll. TNF3. And you can either wriggle. So you're screwing, you're using your get it up.
Speaker C: Wiggle. Yeah. Some brawn.
Speaker B: Yeah. Or you can tinker to find a another alternate roundup. Or if you feel like hurling a rope up the steps.
Speaker A: Is it slick or something?
Speaker B: They're designed for the ogres and you're a smaller raccoon. So it's getting up these little slick. Definitely bigger than.
Speaker A: Okay, so I'm Gonna try this out. This way, I can learn how to do this. So let's say I can spend a card for something hard. A garbage card.
Speaker B: Well, for a garbage card, you could actually use that to craft something.
Speaker A: That's what I'm saying. I'm gonna craft something because I got. I got a bonus for tinkering. So what, I need to spend some garbage to tinker or just. Because what I want to do is actually, like, get, like, a board or something that's, like, stuck and floated down in this mess and, like, try to arrange it and, like, shim stuff in with my tinker to use it as an alternate platform for everybody if you.
Speaker B: Got something soft to. To bind it together with. Or you could use your tinker just to find another path around the steps. Or maybe there's some rebar sticking out.
Speaker A: Or I have a. A tinker using guts instead of smarts. I have a lot of guts. So it's just raw guts, then?
Speaker B: Yeah, that's on your character.
Speaker C: These. If you have checks, these are like, how well you're trained in the skill. I think two checks. Oh, no. If you're. Sorry, I was saying, if you're using your calling skill. Oh, I don't know.
Speaker A: Because it says my calling ability. Snares galore. I may roll tinker using guts instead of smarts.
Speaker C: Nice.
Speaker A: But I don't understand. Why is the. Why is there a thing there that says smarts with two checks when I already have a smarts below? Like, what's your say?
Speaker C: Mine's got. So I'm. Because it's my skill. Gift of the power, but. So it's. Guts is the stat that I use, I believe. But then I have two. I start with two dice for my gift of the pile. Oh, oh, understand that. Then I have guts for the manipulator. Okay.
Speaker A: So I get two automatically.
Speaker B: And then if you're using your tinker, you would use guts instead of smarts. That's what it sounds like.
Speaker A: This is where you're. To me is. Is if it says I can roll guts instead of smarts, do I still get these two dice for smarts, or do I just go with what I got a guts.
Speaker B: I would just go with whatever you got in guts.
Speaker A: Okay, I'm gonna. I have five guts. I'm gonna roll actually four guts. Try to find a way around and then have one dice to modify I success. I got one success. But I can modify one. Just. I can add a pip, right?
Speaker B: Yep, Yep.
Speaker A: All right. So I add a pip, and that gives Me two successes.
Speaker B: Okay, so you need three. You get the. The band. It kind of fishtails a bit.
Speaker A: Now can I add a card now to maybe I need three to add a success to it.
Speaker B: Or you could use a glory card, which gives you another plus one so you could roll the the dice again. You can spend a glory card discarding it during a skill roll to add an additional plus one manipulation. Okay.
Speaker A: So I could turn, but I can't re roll.
Speaker B: Well, that for the plus one manipulation, that would allow you to reroll or change a pit.
Speaker D: Okay, do I add these to my roll?
Speaker C: That's how many, like, manipulation I have. So you would start with. And then you could buy work with those if you wanted.
Speaker B: So describe how you've gobbled this together and you're making your way up.
Speaker A: So I found, like you were saying, there's like, some rebar sticking out the side and I found, like, some fishing lines and other crap in there. I just, like, wind it around. So we have, like, a rope that we can basically pull along the side along the lowest point of obstacle. It's like a handrail going up the side.
Speaker B: How'd you do, wing breaker?
Speaker D: I haven't rolled yet. I was trying to figure out my rule.
Speaker C: What are you doing?
Speaker D: I'd use Braun and just wriggle up. So I just add these two wriggles.
Speaker A: I see you gearing up to go and say, hey, you can use this thing I made. Use the thing I made. It's really cool. But you're just getting ready to disco.
Speaker C: That's the thing. Admit. Oh, yes. I'm going to watch climb up this thing.
Speaker A: I'm like, I think I made it Plenty strong enough.
Speaker B: For big.
Speaker A: I mean, for mature people.
Speaker C: I am fat and not ashamed.
Speaker B: Cool.
Speaker A: That's pretty awesome. You have more confidence than I do.
Speaker D: You get manipulation back.
Speaker C: You would just have them. You don't lose them. Oh, yeah.
Speaker B: You're just spending the points just for this role and then they're back the next time you roll it, I'll spend two. So I have two as well.
Speaker D: Because I have two wriggle.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: Yeah. I think that's what that front check means. You have the skill. Then you get a dice for the check.
Speaker B: That'd be three dice.
Speaker A: Does he have a wriggle check and then two additional checks.
Speaker D: One check after the wriggle. I have one in front of wriggle, and then I have one.
Speaker B: So you're trained in wriggle and then you get one die. Okay. Because you're a full one. And then you got four the brawn for spending. So that would be however many dice you want to buy with that.
Speaker D: I'll do one die curve. I did not. 1 6, 165 didn't make the jump.
Speaker B: So. So you go. And as you're watching Lua as he's pulling his way up the. The path, they see you just kind of hanging at the step, trying to pull yourself up and the little legs are flipping back and forth. You can't quite get purchased.
Speaker C: Would like waddle. Like after he climbs up, we waddle over to where Zinn is hanging and kind of like squat down over. Let me help you up. And I'll just like grab a hand and then like just fall backwards and use my mask to help pull him over.
Speaker B: I wouldn't let them though. You make it up. You can see where at one point this tube that seems to go right into the wall. At one point there were bars. A lot of them have rusted and fallen out. Opening up. You can easily walk in. There's nothing really blocking you. And the pipe is wide enough that you can walk next to each other or in any formation that. That you want. As you go in past the light and you can just kind of hear your footsteps into the moist water. Getting there. You come to a T and there's. You can either go straight or go right or go a little left. It's been kind of unnerving because it's been straight. You're used to natural curves and in nature this is all.
Speaker C: So it's. It's a T with the. I guess, I guess the bottom part of the T leading back out we came. Yeah.
Speaker B: So you get to the T. It's actually a four way. You come to a te.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker B: And as you're coming in there and you get there, you can hear the echoing guttural language of. Of the ogres somewhere. You can't quite.
Speaker C: Can I? Yeah, I was gonna say Lewis kind of like walls towards, like into the center. And then you see him like cock his head in like different directions as he's trying to like decipher where the ogres are coming from. So he can not go that way.
Speaker B: Yeah. You can do a snoop. It's a target of four. And I'll give you an idea of what's going down each tunnel.
Speaker D: You're on train. You don't even get a role.
Speaker C: No.
Speaker D: Unless you add.
Speaker C: Yeah. So like I'd have to. So I base. So yeah. Like I don't have snoop. But what I could I use my Smarts and speed to determine. Or do I need to snoop?
Speaker B: Oh, it actually says snoop in the.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker B: In the quick start.
Speaker C: Okay. All right. So I'm untrained. So I have to spend one of my manipulations to buy the skill. Then I have to buy it, then spend another one to actually have a die. I'll spend another one for another day. What was the TN?
Speaker B: 4.
Speaker C: 4. I don't think I can do that.
Speaker D: I have tiny one. Anyone? I have to buy all. What are you trying to accomplish?
Speaker C: I'm trying to determine what and where the ogres are so we don't go towards them.
Speaker B: Get a feel of what's tunnels.
Speaker C: Oh, one success.
Speaker B: So the echo is reverberating too much. Well.
Speaker C: Anyone else have anyone have a.
Speaker B: Particular direction they prefer to waddle or.
Speaker C: Should I let the fates decide?
Speaker B: I don't have any.
Speaker A: Well, just keep on moving. Let's just go straight.
Speaker C: All right.
Speaker A: I want to before we go. I should set up a trap, cover our escape. That we'll know about if they won't. And then if we have to run.
Speaker B: Then.
Speaker A: Maybe if we get closer. But if you want me to set.
Speaker C: Up the trap, that's what I'll do.
Speaker A: That sure.
Speaker C: As long as we won't run it. We can't. We won't trigger it, will we? You'll remember where it's at?
Speaker A: Yeah, most of the time. Not usually my fault. He's like brushing over areas of his fur that are missing.
Speaker C: Well, I guess hop to it. If you do. Then let's watch.
Speaker A: Let's just go.
Speaker C: All right, so we're going down the center. Yeah, straight ahead D forward under the box.
Speaker B: So if you're making a tap. What sort of.
Speaker A: I'm gonna wait.
Speaker B: Okay. So you push straight through. And once you get there, the room opens up a little bit and you find a spiral staircase made of metal that leads down into the sub levels of the lunacy. There's twisting turns and tunnels as you go down the stairs. And you hear the rumble. The echoes of the ogres speaking their unknown language as it echoes up the steps.
Speaker C: Maybe we look. Check other direction first. So, yeah, we'll go back to the center and then hang up on the left. So we're going down the left or. No, we hang a right, I guess. So we're going down the left line.
Speaker B: Okay. Yeah. So if the stairs are to the north, you're going to the west. Yes, that works. So you go through in this room. It's a dead end. Most of the space is taken up with barrels. Large black bags all overflowing with trash. Yeah. You rip open a bag and you realize it's trash. Not garbage. It's trash. It's like wet papers. It's chewing gum.
Speaker C: It's.
Speaker B: All the stuff that you're not looking for.
Speaker A: Are there any diapers that are in better repair than the one on my head?
Speaker B: You'd have to use snoop or break. And it's a TS4 to see if you can find anything worthwhile.
Speaker A: Barrels are all closed.
Speaker B: Some of them are busted. And by barrels, I'd imagine it's more like trash cans. Okay. In the thr where the lid's still on it.
Speaker A: They're not garbage.
Speaker B: Knocked over and it's kind of floating. The whole room looks like it's just filled with trash.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker C: I. You'd see l, like, kind of like waddle around looking for, like, any pieces of, like, edible food and anything as I rip open trash bag.
Speaker B: Okay. You want to do a break?
Speaker C: Sure.
Speaker B: It's a snoop or a break. With a target of 4, I'll hop.
Speaker C: To these snoop to have a shot. Let's see.
Speaker A: We're going live.
Speaker C: Spend all my manipulations to buy and add dice. It's almost a good rule. Success.
Speaker B: So as you're rooting around in one of the bags, you realize you inadvertently triggered a trash crash. Piles of useless debris are just barely bounced and they're just starting to come down. It's a trash lunch.
Speaker C: Roll.
Speaker B: So it's dumping wet paper and other useless trash across the floor. A barrel teeters and tumbles over, rolling into the the teetering lower plastic cups. The hissing and clattering and lumbering of refuse grow louder. That's what you thought was a treasure crashes and starts surging towards the mask. You've all heard the stories from the junk bards. A danger raccoons find. Their greed overcomes their common sense. And you'll find yourselves about to be buried in the trash land. So this is the whole thing has some countdown challenges that manipulates stuff later. But this is a. The group works together and you need to achieve a Wriggle with a TN of 7.
Speaker C: Yes. Well, that's a group.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Might be a group. I can add. I get one roll, one dice.
Speaker D: I'll spend online.
Speaker C: I don't wiggle wriggle.
Speaker A: So in this kind of a scenario, is it so immediate? But we can't counter by using, like another skill. Like if I wanted to anchor to make something that we could, like hold on to.
Speaker B: It's all coming down. Okay. This Is the Indiana Jones scenario. You picked up the idol and the boulders rolling.
Speaker A: So I have one wriggle and then two brawn. I'm just going for just raw.
Speaker B: Yeah. The adrenaline is coming.
Speaker D: I have two success.
Speaker A: Two successes.
Speaker C: Four I had rolled them. Not one on my.
Speaker A: We have to get seven.
Speaker C: Yeah. I only had. I could only roll one dice.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: I don't wriggle.
Speaker B: I roll.
Speaker A: I don't have enough. Even with a card.
Speaker C: I could only add like one more.
Speaker A: So we're gonna be three shy.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: I was gonna say even if I burned my two glories, it'd only give me two more dice.
Speaker B: So you're just caught in this massive debris and it hits that corner and it just kind of rolls over like a tsunami and knocks you back around. And before you know it, you've been kind of burped out the stairs into the oily water where you.
Speaker C: Lou like get up and like do like the. The animal shake when they've been too wet.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: Just go.
Speaker A: You stand up with the diaper is.
Speaker B: Now like.
Speaker A: It'S super absorbent. Sounds like going. Squeeze it out. Boiling water.
Speaker B: Oh well.
Speaker A: But it cools me off.
Speaker D: John just doing with his arms like you clean a katana blade. Getting the blood off all the water's flood off.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: Oh, I guess we need to go another way. If we get can get back up. Did your contraption survive?
Speaker A: That was the one on the entrance in.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah. That's where you got knocked all the way back to. Oh. Oh.
Speaker C: Yep.
Speaker B: It was such a large trash land. Okay. Took you to the corner, Rolled you up along the side. Kind of gave you a tumble since.
Speaker A: It'S mostly made of put you back out rebar. And the tide line is probably fine.
Speaker C: Let's go again. Right. Yep. So climb up and go I guess east.
Speaker B: Okay. So as you head towards these two, you start seeing sharp, unnatural lights flickering, buzzing flashes of white that make it difficult to. To sense any details. I don't know. Do you want to try a. A snoop? You're going to be sneaky going in or.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'll snoop. I'm very articulate. I gotta spend one for the skill, right?
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: So I spend one gut for the skill. But I have four guts that I can spend in addition.
Speaker B: And your TN is four. Oh.
Speaker C: Well, I gotta go with you. We both can't stoop cover our bikes.
Speaker B: Okay. Maybe you stay behind me.
Speaker C: I have five guts. Nice. So I can do. I can four dice.
Speaker A: I got two success and I have a four. So if we need to, like, spend a card. I can spend a card, but let's see what you're.
Speaker C: Yeah. All.
Speaker A: Or can we group our success in this?
Speaker B: They don't really say you can't. I mean, there's the challenge that you had before where the trash was coming out. They said that was a group challenge.
Speaker A: Oh, okay.
Speaker B: But everything else is. It just says Snoop Tiana 4. So if you. You want to. I have no problem if you want to group together with the way this system's playing.
Speaker C: Yes, I'll. So I burn 1. One manip to buy this skill, and then I'll burn three more to get dice and then save one manip for expense. All right, well, I'm going to burn my thing to reroll.
Speaker A: There you go. Did you get any?
Speaker C: No. The first roll was 1:1.3. I think this dice might be weighted.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: They mean get put in a display case.
Speaker D: Well, I can spend one to get the skill and then roll three guts, because I have four guts. I still have Snoop.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I.
Speaker D: I can do that. Find out one success.
Speaker A: Okay, that would be three. I'll spend the card.
Speaker B: That gives us four.
Speaker C: It gives us a pit.
Speaker B: So your pool's, like, slowly creeping up.
Speaker A: Wait, we needed four.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: You have one success or two?
Speaker B: One.
Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, there we go. I need to spend.
Speaker B: You begin to hear some noise, some chittering. You listen a little longer and you kind of look at each other to confirm that you're both not going crazy. You're actually hearing something. And it sounds like a mischief of rat bandits. Dirty rats. Apparently the Mask isn't the only ones down here looking for the legendary treasure.
Speaker A: I see one.
Speaker B: Well, if you've. You've heard them, but you still have to go in a little further before you get actually seen.
Speaker C: I'll let you guys wanna break some rats?
Speaker B: Always. They're honorless.
Speaker A: Steal all of my garbage, rats.
Speaker B: Steal my energy drink.
Speaker A: This is our garbage. Send a message to all the rats.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: They haven't seen us at all.
Speaker B: Yeah. At this point, they have no idea that. That you're there at that.
Speaker A: So from what we know of the rats, do they. They usually, like, are they things that. Would they shoot at us or would they run at us and attack us? Like. Or is it both, like, from like a lore perspective? Do we know they always come up and try to chew on you?
Speaker B: You would know that they also travel in packs. The mask, you know that they're found almost everywhere. The. The garbage is when they gather in a large enough group, they can become almost fearless. Okay.
Speaker A: I want to concoct a trap in front of us. And so then we, when we.
Speaker B: Make.
Speaker A: A ruckus at him, we can like shoot at them and then they can run up and hit my trap. So I want to make a trap. Now do I need to use garbage to make a trap?
Speaker C: Yes. Okay, cool. So.
Speaker B: So describe the type of trap you want to make.
Speaker A: This is going to be like I'm using some like a rubber band and I basically want to take like what looks like the tines of like a broken fork, like a jagged thing. I'm just going to like arrange it so like when somebody like steps in front of it, it's just going to be like. And just stick out.
Speaker B: Kind of like stepping on a rake. Yeah.
Speaker A: But it's like it'll go like forward. So if there's anybody with it, it's gonna hit everybody.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Kind of like a rake that way like sticks anybody. So one person triggers it. Anybody who's with them is going to get stuck. Because I've got a hard and a sharp and then I'm not sure how many cards you need to spend to build a thing.
Speaker B: Well, I'd say if you're doing a fork and rubber band, it would probably be a hard and a soft. Okay.
Speaker A: I'm gonna do so the, the spades.
Speaker B: For the fork itself and then a heart for the rubber band.
Speaker A: So that's the spades for the sharp. And then I'm gonna spend that to get the rubber band to give it the juice. And that's going to reset the pile.
Speaker B: Are you going to set it up? Because the pipe is like four foot wide.
Speaker A: I'm going to set it up like.
Speaker B: Right in the middle.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: Like right near the front. Or we, we could if we wanted to like go around it. But it's obvious like that's the approach and put it there. But do I need to roll to make it.
Speaker B: Crafting it just says as long as you've got the need.
Speaker D: The tinker I don't think it roll for.
Speaker A: I'm not sure if tinker comes into play.
Speaker B: Let's Double check.
Speaker C: Real.
Speaker B: Happy 12 Creation Use Item spending garbage cards.
Speaker A: Or snares.
Speaker B: It basically it looks like you just. You do it. Okay. Be creative with garbage. Just keep in mind any cards the raccoon spend now cannot become permanent equipment improvements later. As this is a one shot. Sure. You can go all in.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: So you see me like anchor the rubber band like on the sides and I set that thing down so it's going to, like, pop out, and it's like something set basically holding it in place in the front so that gets disturbed and, like, don't walk. We want to just yell at him and then, like, shoot at them when they come. Or do we want to try to trick them into thinking, like, we're a.
Speaker B: Sexy rat or we're good at those things? I try it.
Speaker A: I can see. I've done some improv. I wouldn't say I'm great, but I could try it. When we try some improv, I'll tell you. Try some improv.
Speaker C: Don't do that.
Speaker A: That's gonna just be like. It's like the worst improv, though. It's just gonna be like him trying to pretend he's a sexy rat. He has no idea what that means. But I do have trick.
Speaker B: Okay, so I'm gonna. I would say you're definitely trying to trick them. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A: I'm just trying to trick him into thinking, like, I'm a friendly rat and get him to come over so we can see him. That's like, get your bows ready.
Speaker B: Squeaker, squeak. Squeak them. Yeah. Have my bow.
Speaker A: Have my bow ready to shoot at him.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: I'm not sure how ammo works on this.
Speaker B: I think you just have it.
Speaker A: Okay. All right, so unless you want to.
Speaker B: Like, craft a special arrow. Yeah. You've got the basics.
Speaker A: I used most of my garbage. Okay, so do we need to just roll smart to see if I trick them?
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: I don't know.
Speaker C: How many.
Speaker A: How many successes do I need?
Speaker B: Oh, let's say.
Speaker A: I'll say. I say the goal is to get them not necessarily to be like.
Speaker B: I don't know.
Speaker A: It doesn't matter.
Speaker B: Give it a shot. Let's see how. How good your improv is.
Speaker A: My improv is. Instead of me actually acting, you would expect me to act like I sound like a rat. You just hear me use my normal voice, and I literally say, hey, I'm a sexy, ugly, super rat.
Speaker B: So instead of luring them with your wily ways, you intimidate them with berating their rat ratly nature. Yeah, you. You definitely get their attention after a couple of moments. You. You see four sets of red BDIs looking down the pipe, kind of questioning if. If they actually heard somebody saying, I.
Speaker A: Shoot a pair of the red BDIs.
Speaker B: Sure. That'll put us into a combat. I give you a free shot. You. You lured them in. Yeah.
Speaker A: So are they, like, kind of in front of the trap?
Speaker B: Yeah, they're not quite the trap. They. They're all, like, right there, barely out of the room, looking down the pipe, like, I think I heard something. You hear something?
Speaker A: So this is hurl, right?
Speaker B: Yes, I believe so.
Speaker A: Now, for combat, Is it every round? I get all of my points for hurl or do I?
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. Wow.
Speaker A: This guy's actually really good at shooting stuff.
Speaker B: And. And after you get to your initial attack, we'll go into combat, and we'll do initiative and vice versa. All right, cool. Well, then.
Speaker A: One, two. I actually have seven dice for this.
Speaker D: Highest skill I met.
Speaker B: It is.
Speaker A: So I'm gonna roll. I don't know how damage works in this, but I'm actually going to keep to a site in roll 5 and.
Speaker B: See if I can adjust for some more.
Speaker D: Your equipment should stay down.
Speaker B: Yeah, it's probably a D3 if I.
Speaker A: Was slaying it for damage.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Oh, so am I rolling to hit?
Speaker C: Yeah. Okay.
Speaker A: Oh, and then just the vengeance. Well, that's good. I did that. Now, holding back, the two dice are just so I can, like, add a pip. Where can I reroll?
Speaker B: You can reroll the failed ones, or you can add a pip. Like, let's say you've got one that's a four, and you can add a pip to it, make it a five, it's success.
Speaker C: Or spend two and make a three to.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's. I was wondering if I just get one more automatic hit. Let's make two successes with the two. So I'll have two successes.
Speaker B: Okay. This is one of those spots where I was still. Oh, you're fine.
Speaker A: It's just like we're all learning.
Speaker B: See, skill, rules for attacks, trans.
Speaker C: Relevant action, usually brawn for their actual attribute.
Speaker B: Range is a little different, but not by too much range. Loosely defined.
Speaker A: So if attacker's number of successes meets or beats the TN attribute, the attack hits and deals damage.
Speaker B: Yeah, range is. Is random. Whatever fits.
Speaker A: So the attacker's number of Successes, which was 2, beats the. The TN or attribute. So I don't know what the TN is to hit.
Speaker C: The rats only have two Braun. So.
Speaker B: Bronze set I've got in here is 4. So it goes down, and it just kind of bounces off. Off the water skitters. You should be describing this. How does your. Your arrow fly?
Speaker A: It's pretty rickety. Like, the front's pretty straight, but the back is, like, slight whistle noise, so it deflects. It looks like a wounded bird.
Speaker B: One of them goes over to see what. What it is in. In case it was actually a wounded bird. The other three come a Little further down the hall. Not quite where the trap is. Go ahead and we'll do initiative. So initiative is decided. You use one of your. Your cards.
Speaker D: Garbage or glory.
Speaker B: Either I card gets to go first and then you get to decide who goes next. If it's one of the rats or if it's teammate.
Speaker A: Do you have to burn a card.
Speaker B: To do it or just show it? No, you just show it.
Speaker C: Oh you.
Speaker B: You don't lose a card.
Speaker C: I have six.
Speaker D: I have an ace, but I don't know if I want to go first.
Speaker B: You don't have to.
Speaker C: You can pick who goes first. You could say the rats go first.
Speaker D: That's what I do because I gotta.
Speaker C: Get close said my lizard is standing like behind the trap.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: It would seem like we're all. The trap is between us of them.
Speaker D: Let's do a type of weapons.
Speaker C: I.
Speaker D: Do we know what type of weapons Rat man. That's usually how.
Speaker B: You. You know from your previous experiences and in your battles. Most have a sword. Some also carry either a polearm or maybe even a bow. But the ones coming at you far.
Speaker D: As the trap per month, as far.
Speaker A: As we wanted to be.
Speaker D: I just go stand like behind it and draw my axe and be like.
Speaker B: Come fight one of those cowards. Like right behind the trap. Yeah.
Speaker D: Standing with my ax.
Speaker A: I'm up kind of like on the side of the pipe where I can see him to shoot still.
Speaker D: And then they can go first.
Speaker C: Breaker did step up behind the trap. Blue. It would probably just step back. But yeah, the rats are going.
Speaker B: So. Okay.
Speaker C: I don't know if all of them go or.
Speaker B: Well, rat would decide. So yeah, we'll just do the rats as a group. That'd probably be easier. Unless one of the rats wants to hold in which case they might bunker back. So does that mean you want the. The first turn to go to the rats? Yep.
Speaker D: I was going to step in like behind the trap and wait my axe.
Speaker A: See how good the trap is.
Speaker B: So the. The three come running up. Now that you stepped out in the.
Speaker D: Open and called them out.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: They'Re.
Speaker B: They're cautious but they. They get up there and one of them goes to. To stab at you with a polearm, which is basically a straw with a little piece of p.
Speaker A: Behind the trap door. Yeah, they have to step through the trap to get to you.
Speaker D: That was the plan to try and bait the trap.
Speaker B: But the pole arm has reach, no breach. So he just kind of came up and so if you want to just hit something, would that be a Break who, me or the rat?
Speaker D: I think it's scrap.
Speaker B: Scrap. Okay.
Speaker C: That sounds like a fighting. Yeah. Scrap.
Speaker B: Hurl.
Speaker C: Yeah, my combat thing. Scrap or hurl or magic, whatever that is. They don't have any magic.
Speaker B: No magic? No, I don't think so. So they just. They miss you. It comes over and eyes. Yeah.
Speaker D: You are without honor.
Speaker B: And then you get a chance to counter. The other one is kind of guarding his buddy and whatnot.
Speaker D: I just step a little further back out of his reach.
Speaker B: Okay. And then who's next?
Speaker A: I'm gonna actually say out loud to him, I'm gonna use my barbed quip, which is an actual verbal skill that apparently that I have, and I actually, like, look at the one that, like, missed him and say, like, your mother never loved you. Says reach success beyond their gut. They suffer a plus one TM penalty on their next action. Okay, so I get two smarts so I can roll four dice. I'm just gonna roll straight four sixes in here. So three successes. If it's.
Speaker B: Is.
Speaker A: Is that more than his guts that.
Speaker B: That ties with his guts, the fact they're all sixes.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker B: He. He looks kind of downtrodden. Like.
Speaker A: Suddenly dawns inside of Porgy's mind that he probably had a lot of brothers and sisters.
Speaker B: And so you quip who you want to go next.
Speaker A: I guess I went, so meet you.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: I'd be. I guess I would pile more onto the insults, though. I'd like to use my speak skill and just tell him to. He needs to run home to mommy. Okay, so I have two for the skill, and then I think I'll do two. I'll have one minute left. I think these dice are weighted.
Speaker B: All right.
Speaker C: I'm going to spend my one minute to re.
Speaker B: I was going to say, do you want to swap out, oh, two successes.
Speaker C: If it's not.
Speaker B: There you go. Supplemental.
Speaker C: Love the display dice. Oh, I got two successes.
Speaker B: Yeah. No, I was trying to figure out how to.
Speaker C: I guess I was attacking his smarts.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: Yeah. I don't know. Memory, learning, wits, courage, endurance, emotions. I guess I would say it probably would be attacking guts. Yeah.
Speaker B: All right. You know, so he. After the quip about how his mother never loved him and he's looking all hurt, and then he kind of gives you an evil eye. Like.
Speaker A: Either way, it's effective.
Speaker C: Tatoon was a fail.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: But hey, if it pisses him off and he goes into the trap, then that's a win.
Speaker D: I was just moving back out of reach of his hole.
Speaker B: Little spear the hair soap. The other one goes to stand up for his friend. You don't quite understand full rat but he charges forward. He's getting ready to scrap. And he hits the trap. Neither do I look good.
Speaker A: I mean there's something about the disposal.
Speaker B: Expert.
Speaker A: The attack with traps.
Speaker B: But I don't know if that means.
Speaker A: I got roll success for the trap. As if it's the quality of my trap is my attack and when it goes off, I roll my guts to see if it works or that would.
Speaker C: Make sense to me or whoever's dot has to roll like a. A wriggle or something to dodge the trap. Would either of those make sense to me?
Speaker B: Okay. Yeah.
Speaker A: I don't know what the. They don't really in this short thing. They don't have description of it.
Speaker B: Yeah. The closest is where a character spreads. No, they did that on their short swords. I thought they spread that on the ground like cal trumps. Yeah. I wanted to set up actually had a TN2.
Speaker C: Like would my TN be.
Speaker A: My skill with tinkering?
Speaker B: I think it's a trick skill to set up a trap because I have.
Speaker A: Snares galore as a calling ability and I can roll tinker instead of guts. Sorry. It can tinker using guts instead of smarts.
Speaker B: Okay. I don't know. We'll just have them rolling. We'll say it's a. A TNF3 for them to against their smart. Got regal he on the three. We'll see if they can avoid the trap or they're pinned by it. They only have a. A2 success. So he goes running. He trips it and he tries to get out of the way, but he doesn't. He just gets tagged on the leg and for the moment he. He's pinned there.
Speaker C: Here. Lou say went home to mama.
Speaker B: The. The third one that's here comes up to to try and free him. So he's going to use smarts as the one that looks for the arrow comes running. So go with a scrap on that one. So that would be a. Who's closest to the trap.
Speaker D: Me I'd be staying in front of. Okay, everyone.
Speaker A: So not hit by the trap because the trap goes the other direction.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah. So this would be probably against your brawn.
Speaker D: I have four brawn.
Speaker B: You know, four.
Speaker A: But somebody's attacking him.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: How many are pinned by the trap?
Speaker B: Just the one. The other guy went to try and free his friend and then the. The fourth one went up to scrap and he only has three successes. So the sword of aluminum once again. You step back and think, this is. We'll go for some tinker smarts for the third one to. And he is unable to free his friend, who's using some colorful language you don't understand, brat, but you kind of get a feeling for what it is. Did he injure him? Oh, yeah.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker B: He. He's pinned underneath one of the. The tines. So one of the four is definitely wounded. So next round of initiative, you'd show your cards again.
Speaker A: Delay, I think.
Speaker D: I think it's just one.
Speaker B: Well, after you've gone your round, the.
Speaker D: Last round picks who starts the next.
Speaker A: Rounding character, chooses who goes next. The last act around picture starts the next round.
Speaker B: Okay, so if the rats ended, the rats would begin.
Speaker A: I think it's.
Speaker C: No, you would pick somebody. SS I think.
Speaker A: I think that means the last in our round picks who's going to start the next round. So if you went last, you would pick who goes first in the next round.
Speaker B: That works.
Speaker C: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
Speaker A: Windbreaker, I think, because it's talking about the layers.
Speaker D: Wing breaker, take a swing at one of the rats that's closest to me.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker D: And then I always roll melee with max brawn as part of my ability muscles. It's like seven days.
Speaker B: Wow.
Speaker A: Great gains.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: There's only two successes still seven.
Speaker B: So just flat out, you can't adjust those or.
Speaker C: I think you used all yours.
Speaker D: Yeah, I did. Because I always roll with Max.
Speaker C: Well, I think it means you're. Because you want. You take damage. You're like your brawn or the attribute goes down. So that probably means you have. Oh, you have. You always have your. Your Whatever your brawn is.
Speaker B: Even when you're wounded, you're still.
Speaker D: Okay, I see how that works.
Speaker C: So you could keep some of those seven asthma and we'll just roll with it for now.
Speaker B: Okay, who goes next?
Speaker A: I'm gonna shoot at the one who.
Speaker D: Wants to go next. All can go.
Speaker A: I was just gonna shoot at the one that's helping his buddy see how that works. I'm gonna actually roll seven for giggles. Actually, I'll hold one back as.
Speaker C: Oh, dang.
Speaker A: One, two, three, four, and I'll make a fifth. So I get five successes.
Speaker B: Oh, wow. Okay, so your damage of the bow.
Speaker A: It'S only a D3. Do one damage or. Sorry, one. I guess it's half. So. Right. If it's one to three, we would round up.
Speaker B: If it's a D3, then is it.
Speaker A: One to three is one damage? Four, five, six is two damage?
Speaker B: Well, D3, one two would be one damage. Three. Four would be two and.
Speaker A: Okay. I wasn't sure how that works out if it's like half map. Okay, so.
Speaker B: Yeah, so I got one damage. Okay. You hear the. The yip from the. The rat you impaled? All right.
Speaker A: Well, that's not. The one that was down. The one that was helping.
Speaker B: Yeah, Yeah. I don't want him to help anyone.
Speaker C: Lua would waddle up and hit one of the ones that's been hit already with his. With this mace.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: So melee. So what is that scrap? Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah, I think so. That's what I use, actually.
Speaker C: How much. What's the tn. Do I even need to hit on this guy? Because I might not even actually even be able to do it.
Speaker B: If it's one that's been hit before, I'd probably go with a three. Not the most I can do. Nope.
Speaker C: Same.
Speaker D: Same value.
Speaker B: Ones and twos. What? Ouch.
Speaker D: You have to luck.
Speaker C: I need to inverse my success ratios. Then I'm just gonna back up behind.
Speaker D: His hand in front of everyone's behind.
Speaker C: And then I guess a windbreaker already. All of us have went already, I think. Yeah.
Speaker B: So. So the one rat pulls the arrow out of his rear end. Hit. Tosses it to the side.
Speaker C: See?
Speaker B: He leaves his friend behind. Lua is the closest, so he takes a. A swing at you. Got two successes.
Speaker D: Blue one.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: Oh, so you ran past windbreaker.
Speaker B: That.
Speaker C: Oh, attacked me.
Speaker B: That's. Well, you took the first hit. As you're back and back. He. You lunge at you.
Speaker A: So is that like, against guts?
Speaker B: I think it's just brawn. I think Braun.
Speaker C: Okay. Hits me. I mean that too. It matches my brawn. So I don't know if that. That hits. I think.
Speaker B: Right. So I think it takes your.
Speaker A: If his success meets or beats the team.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah. So you get a. A slice across the. Across the arm. The other rat that's pinned with a leg, he can't really reach anything. Is it the one with the pole arm? Comes in at the wing breaker. He has got three successes. 4.
Speaker C: How much damage did I take?
Speaker B: The swords, they say they're two damage. Okay.
Speaker C: So my bronze at zero. So I can't do brawn things.
Speaker B: Grab your arm and pull yourself back. Third rat comes at wing breaker. He's just full in. He's not rearranging anything. And he only has two successes. So he. He misses you. You once again. You step back. And you step back.
Speaker C: You're just standing there.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Hard. Doing like one punch and just eating it. But it doesn't do anything.
Speaker B: You make the connection. But your hands broken.
Speaker C: They're fine. I guess I would have stolen said Windbreaker King if the rats are done. Windbreaker. I guess I would have picked Windbreaker.
Speaker D: All right, I'll take a swing.
Speaker B: They go. Oh, I can use.
Speaker D: I can manipulate one. I got three success.
Speaker B: Okay, you going for one of the wounded or. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker D: And I just do three damage apparently.
Speaker B: Definitely hit. Yeah, you. You drop. He's out.
Speaker D: Three damage.
Speaker B: You hear a crunch?
Speaker C: I told you better run home tomorrow. Laughing all back.
Speaker A: You guys are hyped.
Speaker D: Then the one can go since you got poked.
Speaker C: So I'm going to see. I like step back further. So I'm like all the way in the back now, but you hear me, like start going. And I'm going to use my gift of the pile, which is I just roll for success. Heal yourself or another one attribute rank. So I get two for the skill and it's guts, which I have five. So I'm going to put spend two of my five. I roll four for this. Oh, two successes. So I get heal up my brawn.
Speaker B: Nice. All right.
Speaker C: My bron to that.
Speaker A: When he steps back, I pop that one again with the bo.
Speaker B: Success.
Speaker A: And I'll re roll one of these because I don't trust two successes.
Speaker B: And which one are you aiming for?
Speaker A: The one that attacked him. The one I hit in the butt.
Speaker B: Okay. See and think. You catch him again, this time in the arm.
Speaker A: This time I do three damage.
Speaker B: Nice. So he. He kind of slumps against the pipe wall. Oh, you got me.
Speaker A: He's still alive or is he dead?
Speaker B: He's out of play at the moment, but you can't tell if he's dead or not.
Speaker C: All right, go. No Under a threat.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's what you get. The stupid rat.
Speaker B: The one with the pole arm, after seeing his buddy underneath the rubber band, takes a pull arm and he's aiming for the rubber band. And that is the best roll I've had.
Speaker D: On the r a bit.
Speaker B: So with that pole arm, he severs the rubber band, which releases the tension on the fork. And the. The other guy, can.
Speaker A: We add him out of play? And he is injured.
Speaker B: At least the other two are. Are pretty much out. So we've got our. Our third round.
Speaker C: Said you went last seat.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: When that one starts wriggling out, it's damaged with the bow.
Speaker B: Eat this.
Speaker A: That's actually what he says out loud. I'm going to take three successes to adding one.
Speaker B: So are you aiming for the One with the.
Speaker A: The one that was crawling out from the trap. Since he was releasing him and he's wounded.
Speaker B: I'm going to him off. Yeah. You tag him and he should. Oh.
Speaker A: No matter what, he's going down.
Speaker B: Yeah. Describe how your arrow has flown through the rat.
Speaker A: Kind of go. Thanks. And the rat starts to roll over in my arrow just go right through his eye. He just falls down.
Speaker B: With this. The guy with the polearm. He starts running. He. He's headed back into the room.
Speaker A: I would try to pop him with another arrow Rick really fast.
Speaker C: But whoever can react first.
Speaker D: Hey Lua.
Speaker B: Melee range.
Speaker C: I was gonna say I can try and whip out my sling here. Oh yeah. Sling. I gotta buy this pearl skill. So that's one. And then I guess I will spend three to try and hit them and have save one for a manipulation.
Speaker B: Oh.
Speaker C: One success. I'll spend my other. My last one to re roll. Oh double three successes.
Speaker D: Let's go.
Speaker B: He's the only one that hasn't been wounded.
Speaker C: So. Yeah.
Speaker B: So he can hear that whatever you're using for ammo whistling towards the back of his head. And he just manages to. To duck it a little bit.
Speaker A: This one's a little tougher.
Speaker B: And he's run back into the. Into the room. So do you wish to. To follow him in?
Speaker D: I would. I'd run.
Speaker A: I would follow. You said we couldn't really see in the room very well.
Speaker B: You hadn't gotten in far enough.
Speaker A: Oh, okay.
Speaker B: So as you clear the room you get into the entrance and you can make out the interior clearly. It's cluttered with broken boxes and shredded bags. There's a heavy handed work of brat bandits on the prowl. Being fellow appreciators of trash and triumphs. It's surprising to come across the mischief. Hopefully these are the only interlopers and the depths remain untouched. So you go chasing in. This is what you're in. You. The guy has disappeared in into the pile.
Speaker C: Is this a potential place where you find more garbage?
Speaker A: And is he still in the room with us though?
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: I'm gonna kind of do a general because he only needs to hear me. Can I do a barbed quip? Might as well try. Just be like, I feel like you're a coward. Your mom would be so ashamed to throw moms.
Speaker C: Success.
Speaker A: Bow drawing.
Speaker C: Looking for any movement.
Speaker B: But with this from somewhere in the. In the back an arrow flies wide.
Speaker A: So I can't see him though.
Speaker B: No. He's kind of lost in the pile. He clips back but.
Speaker A: Nothing effective.
Speaker B: Just could Pick it on my Molly.
Speaker A: She's ugly.
Speaker B: I don't know what a good raccoon barb would be from a rat. Your mama. Your mom is hairless. I don't know what you did to your mama. Pretty much she lost her fur.
Speaker C: That guy's not dangerous. I just. Lua would just go and, like, start rummaging around looking for garbage.
Speaker B: Okay. Give me a snoop or a break.
Speaker C: Five successes. My last minute to re. Roll. Oh, another five.
Speaker B: Let's go.
Speaker C: Three successes.
Speaker B: So you go digging around and you find a worthy piece of garbage. And then surviving between, you know, you each get a glory and a trash card for looted free. Nice.
Speaker C: So I get another. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A: So, Team Crane, can you, like, change your weapons? Like, upgrade your weapons?
Speaker B: Yeah, not so much. It would be a permanent modification. It would be. Or would be. It would be. Oh, okay. But what you're able to do here is stuff on the fly. It'd be temporary, but if we decide to continue the system, then you could use that to increase your bow. Or.
Speaker A: That's what I want to do is like, find something that I can strengthen my. Either strengthen the damage on my bow or make it easier to hit with.
Speaker B: I'm hoping that if we do get the full set, that there is a lot more information.
Speaker C: You know.
Speaker B: There'S a lot of things that.
Speaker A: So, like, I would like in this case, I could spend a spade for something sharp and then roll. Tinker to, like, upgrade my.
Speaker B: Once we. Once we get out of here, then. Yeah. If you wanted to do something quick, like you're making caltrops and you want to spread them out, get something to run through.
Speaker A: Gotcha. But not right now. I can't do that.
Speaker B: Yeah, no, there's no current updates. You need specialized tools. Okay.
Speaker D: Downtime activity.
Speaker B: Pretty much.
Speaker A: But if I tinker to make the caltrops and, like, take them with me, like. Or can I take them with me? Or is it like I use them right now?
Speaker B: You just make them right there and use.
Speaker A: Okay, that's cool.
Speaker B: So that way you still have the. The ability in case maybe you change your mind or. That's cool.
Speaker A: I would just search for trash to them.
Speaker B: Okay. Or for garbage. Not trash.
Speaker A: There's a difference. What are the ways that roll?
Speaker B: So it's a. A snoop. Or if you want to break something.
Speaker A: Okay. So I need to spend this point and get a snoop. And I have four left, so I'll do three.
Speaker B: Or if you can give me a good story of how you figured out a way to break something.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: I get one success.
Speaker B: You go digging through, but you find old burger wrappers and some styrofoam containers.
Speaker A: I spend the rest of the time wringing out my diaper.
Speaker B: I sure hope it's clean.
Speaker A: Well, it is now. Now when I first found it. It remains to be seen.
Speaker B: There's just that one brown spare. Well.
Speaker A: But it's. It's been used for a while, so.
Speaker B: It'S hard to tell.
Speaker A: It's not like fully white anymore.
Speaker B: If you take it off and you find your furs, like, flicked back. Oh.
Speaker C: Is this a dead end?
Speaker B: Yeah. You find no other ways out?
Speaker C: Just the treasures with the ogres.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker A: Of course it is.
Speaker B: You might want a miniature. But move.
Speaker A: These are.
Speaker B: Yeah. Well, you go down the stairs. Meander. It's kind of like a 4×4 room set. So these would be pillars.
Speaker A: And you.
Speaker B: Can cross through either way. The stairs that you come down are here in the corner. And you can hear. Well, actually pick a character for your. Your raccoon. And then I'll try and.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: We do have some natural ogres.
Speaker B: So we can tell them apart.
Speaker A: Blades sling.
Speaker D: Little.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I got there.
Speaker D: Wherever we're at.
Speaker C: Unless we're. Unless it's just one party token.
Speaker B: That's up to you. I won't stop you from splitting the party. I'm dealing with veterans here, you know better. Split the party.
Speaker D: It's always fun to split the party.
Speaker C: The everyone rule book tells you to split the. Tells the party to, like, split up. Yeah.
Speaker D: Like God damn.
Speaker C: Yes. Especially just fighting rabble and pups. Rabble, dudes. Yeah.
Speaker B: You can hear the ogres. A lot of sneaking going on.
Speaker A: Need a bigger trap for the ogres.
Speaker B: It's. It's poorly lit, so you have the. The shadows to your advantage.
Speaker C: And then we're just trying to, like, cross the thing or wander around until we find the treasure.
Speaker B: Well, you're wandering around a bit. It's a. How do they word it? Twisting turns and tunnels between the mask and the stairs. Rumbling echoes of ogres speaking their unknown language. It's unknown to the raccoons why the ogres refuse to part with the glorious garbage they guard and always fight off bold masks trying to liberate said garbage. This is not the time for. For theories either. So just a catacomb and ogres between the mask and glory. No problem at all. So as you move from room to room. Yang for a sneak of four. And it's per character on the. On the sneak. If you fail a sneak, one of the ogres, tears and moves available.
Speaker A: I can't succeed at 4.
Speaker C: Oh, I can sneak.
Speaker B: Nope.
Speaker C: I don't think we have to be burning the glory. I could get one. I could probably do.
Speaker D: I have no snake, so I have to buy it. And then I'd have three dice.
Speaker A: I'd buy it and then have one.
Speaker C: I could do one. I could attempt one roll. If I burn all my glory. So we just.
Speaker A: So we'd have to all roll successes. Well, shooting for sneak or is it.
Speaker C: A group or shoot.
Speaker A: If it's in. I can't do it. But anyways, it has each player rolling.
Speaker B: Sneak for a TN of 4. If you can come up with a contraption to kind of pack you all together.
Speaker D: I'll just hide. And the big man.
Speaker B: Write him on the back.
Speaker D: No.
Speaker B: Kind of like we're gonna have to make something.
Speaker C: I know. That's what I'm looking at because I have a couple specials.
Speaker A: I could Teamwork or something for you.
Speaker D: Give other players your garbage so they can make stuff.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: Like, if it's a crafting roll, I. I can't.
Speaker C: Well, you. As far as I could tell. And Steve can correct me. You just make it.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah. It's. You're deft and nimble. Unless you're doing something like setting up a trap.
Speaker C: Something more like, complex.
Speaker B: Yeah. Or you're trying to set up a. Something tricky. You could put something on our feet.
Speaker D: I have three hearts. I can make something. That would be squishy and quiet.
Speaker C: I was.
Speaker D: Sorry.
Speaker A: Go fish.
Speaker B: Go.
Speaker C: Oh, let's see what else we got here. Yeah. I have soft and shiny things. I do. And the other stuff. Maybe you can produce Brax.
Speaker D: And then I just have a spade, so that'd be sharp.
Speaker B: It's a sharp.
Speaker D: But I have three hearts. If we want to do.
Speaker C: Oh, you have three hearts.
Speaker D: I stole them.
Speaker C: Yeah. Like the soft thing. Yeah, it's all the fur you're taking from the rat.
Speaker B: Write that down.
Speaker D: Looking for the bean jerky.
Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Say if that would, like, help. Like, either turn into a group check or make it so we have some successes. We might.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Even a group check.
Speaker C: We don't have to roll.
Speaker B: Perfect. If you want to use some soft things and bind yourselves together.
Speaker D: Yeah. We figure something out.
Speaker A: Or we have to walk on the same. Like, it's one surface, and we have to, like, walk on carefully.
Speaker B: Are you sending one person out to make all the noise? Just run like hell.
Speaker D: I'd be down with that.
Speaker C: So are you fast? Like, wiggle?
Speaker D: I have one wiggle.
Speaker C: Like yeah, I got.
Speaker D: I'm all scrapped.
Speaker C: Guts are some smarts.
Speaker A: Well we could shoot one and hope for the best.
Speaker C: I Let's I guess see in a minute. Let's do. Well we're just going to fail. So if we. If we move here and we fell the sneak does it. Is it a penalty for each fail?
Speaker B: That's what it says.
Speaker D: I assume.
Speaker C: Fail.
Speaker B: Should any character fail move the closest ogre one room closer to the mask. They can hear the giants getting closer. Either ogre happens upon the characters and then there's a challenge.
Speaker A: We should move directly to the nearest ogre and killing. Because if we're going to fail we.
Speaker D: Might kill the ogre.
Speaker B: I don't know.
Speaker A: I'm assuming that we have to kill the ogres, don't we? Because we can't sneak through here. They're going to. They're going to. There's in the Fox and the Hound game here. They're going to touch us.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: So if you fail it and you trigger the ogre challenge. It's a group challenge and you've got to do a scrap TN of 7. Huh.
Speaker C: That's all my day. Oh you have to.
Speaker B: You carry just to get out.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Because the. The max I can get is actually.
Speaker D: Roll five and have two.
Speaker A: I can only have one scrap.
Speaker C: I have one scrap with two bronze.
Speaker D: Burn glory I think.
Speaker C: Yep.
Speaker D: Which I have all mine still.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: I still have all my glory too. Unless we do some contraptions. I could maybe distract him with some shiny stuff.
Speaker D: Some nails on the floor maybe.
Speaker A: I already have some sharp stuff that I could like lay down some things to maybe slow them down.
Speaker D: But for their eyes they're weak.
Speaker A: So we don't really fight it. We just have to scrap with it.
Speaker C: Yeah. To get away otherwise. And Lua would be like would probably tell stories of being of times being captured by ogres in the past.
Speaker B: Yep.
Speaker C: So it put in a cage and fed and then put back in the woods somewhere else and you just wake up somewhere. Yeah.
Speaker A: I mean I. I could also just be like poor Frodo and just like make as much racket as possible to disguise it. So they come to me and not to you guys. So you go around them.
Speaker B: So it's pretty much a per room push. If you do the challenge we can't do this. You faint, distract and escape into the next room. But if you fail, they push you back around.
Speaker A: Oh well that's impossible.
Speaker C: Yeah. Let's see. I guess we go for it. If we can't. If we can't boost our sick lower the success with crafting stuff.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: If you got it, we're gonna.
Speaker A: We have to go six moves just to get to the other corner.
Speaker B: And.
Speaker A: We'Re going to encounter them at least twice.
Speaker C: So let's see here. It was. It was sneak that we're sneaking here in the.
Speaker B: With a TN of 4.
Speaker C: Yeah. Because even if I like make something soft in that. Even if that just to like be quiet. And if that lowered the TN even for the entire thing, I. I still have to roll perfect. Actually. No, I still can't even do it. So I only have one. So I'm just. I'm failing it. Recheck. So you might as well just. So like I would move here and fell. So then you move the ogre.
Speaker B: So the. Yeah, that one would move one closer.
Speaker C: But is it. Is it.
Speaker A: Were you moving as a unit though and he moves one closer or does he move one closer for each of our fails?
Speaker B: Each of our fail.
Speaker C: So if we all went here, he would just go 1, 2, 3. Right. And now we're scrapping. So equal. So let's scrap.
Speaker A: And then we're going to scrap every turn. Because if you move again, he's just going to move one. If we're failing every turn, then we're fighting every.
Speaker B: We're scrapping every turn.
Speaker C: Right. So either get pushed out or we get.
Speaker D: Isn't that the TN of 7?
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: For a group.
Speaker C: And as Braun, which I could see.
Speaker B: Where that might work if we had like four or five people.
Speaker D: Yeah, that's one. It kind of feels like with three.
Speaker B: Yeah, let's cut that in half. Let's see. You gotta get a sneak of two. Yes. Y' all just became a hell of a sneakier.
Speaker C: So I would assume raccoons are.
Speaker D: Yes, the raccoons are.
Speaker C: And well, they can be. That's for sure.
Speaker A: Unless you're a fat raccoon well fed.
Speaker C: I just move slower. So I just quieter.
Speaker A: How many did you get?
Speaker D: Oh, for the scrap it was two successes.
Speaker C: Well, if we're.
Speaker D: But if we're resetting to where we can sneak.
Speaker B: Yeah, let's rollers.
Speaker C: Roller sneak first.
Speaker B: Yeah. Because the. The whole thing sneaking. It's like with a base of four, you would have had to have gone through those pregens and picked a really sneaky raccoon. There is.
Speaker A: We'd have to pick the same raccoon.
Speaker D: I have to spend one, guys.
Speaker B: Yeah, let's just change that T into two. Yeah. And then I'll spend.
Speaker C: But. But if it's Per.
Speaker A: I can't succeed.
Speaker C: Unless spend. Unless we can craft, like, quieter shoot.
Speaker D: Like use the rack.
Speaker C: Crap. Something that's quiet makes it quieter. Yeah. Lower the TN like, for the entire encounter.
Speaker B: Wrap your paws. Wrap your paws.
Speaker D: Go back and get some of that.
Speaker C: I can burn soft. I have soft garbage. I get bend if that will lower.
Speaker A: The TN or if it adds a modifier for every role.
Speaker C: Well, lowering the T1 would be. Lowering the TN by 1 would be the best thing.
Speaker A: I'm thinking if we can't lower the tn, at least give us the ability to modify our roles. Yeah, but lowering the TM by 1 to 1 then we slap role perfect.
Speaker C: That's. I would as well. But I have.
Speaker B: But that would help your sneak. Wouldn't help your.
Speaker A: So I guess the question is, if we make soft things for our feet.
Speaker B: What does that do for us? I would say drop the TM by one. Okay.
Speaker A: So. But you'd have to spend on.
Speaker D: Spend two hearts. Unless one.
Speaker C: I'm spending one for myself.
Speaker D: Yeah. And then I'll spend two and make.
Speaker B: Tell me what you made. I'm curious.
Speaker A: I. I trade you some trash. It's.
Speaker C: It's only fair.
Speaker A: Is that okay?
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Trade you some trash.
Speaker D: I mean, I'm using my trash to.
Speaker A: Build a forgot would not be like you're giving me trash.
Speaker D: That's insulting.
Speaker B: You find cloth napkins and you fill them full of mud. What sort of soft things do you develop for your feet? Rubber bands. Well, in between your toes.
Speaker C: I'm gonna say I literally, like, pull out what it's like, in, like, chunks and like an old, like, like, latex glove or something. And just like. Like the fingers. And just like, put the finger pieces on, like, this paws.
Speaker B: Each finger is a sock.
Speaker C: Yep. That's what. That's what Lua does.
Speaker D: Mine list involves gum and little rope. Like, he was chewing gum.
Speaker A: Makes fun for me as I'm standing there going, I really wish I had something soft and squishy that I could hide my.
Speaker D: Then they just make you a pair.
Speaker B: Whatever.
Speaker D: It's just like old chewing gum.
Speaker B: Like squishy.
Speaker A: So we do a roll.
Speaker B: Who's rolling first? So it puts you down to a TN of one with your uber soft. And I have.
Speaker C: I spend one to just buy this skill and then buy it. Then my other one to get. To actually get. Oh, I did too.
Speaker A: So high five.
Speaker C: I'll move it up there. Then I just repeat all again. Same thing.
Speaker D: One died.
Speaker B: Nice.
Speaker C: Succinct, actually. I'll burn a glory. So, yeah, after since you're kind of supposed to describe what you do that makes this more glorious. We get into the next room and then Lua starts to do like a pet pa. He's like, all right, guys, we did it once, we can do it again. Let us walk. It's time to achieve.
Speaker A: Do you get to reroll if you spend the card too? Or just add a pip.
Speaker C: It gives you a plus one manip. So you can do any of the. I have to spend it too. Bump mine up. So I get over here.
Speaker D: Now I am.
Speaker B: You can go there or you can go over however you want to.
Speaker D: I want to go there.
Speaker C: Oh, cuz we're trying to get to the. Over there.
Speaker D: Could have been here to here or.
Speaker C: I think to here. It's like it's gonna be.
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C: So yeah, I got here quietly. You dined here quietly.
Speaker A: And then I spent a card.
Speaker B: Did.
Speaker C: Okay. So yeah, so we all got there quietly.
Speaker B: Oh, again. What's this?
Speaker A: Success. I can't believe this. Plus I had to spend this success.
Speaker C: Yeah, I'm just going to fail that one. I think I have to.
Speaker D: And then the ogre. Which ogre do you want to move?
Speaker B: Oh, they're equidistant. We'll go for the. The rad ogre.
Speaker A: There's only one move.
Speaker D: Yeah, that's one.
Speaker C: So we move. Did we move down? Did we move. Oh, wait. Okay. So we started here. We went here and we just did this roll, right?
Speaker B: Yes. Y.
Speaker A: Okay, so I've had three successes.
Speaker C: I've had two.
Speaker A: And then a fail.
Speaker C: And then a failed going here. And then this guy was.
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, he was closer at the time.
Speaker C: Oh, well, then this guy would have. Then this guy should have moved into us.
Speaker A: That's what I was asking. Is this one move or does.
Speaker C: Well, this guy like. So if we were right. Because I don't want it. Because we. Success. Success. And then I failed here. So that one would. Would come in into us.
Speaker A: Oh, because the closest one moves well.
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker D: I was gonna say now we're scrapping.
Speaker C: Yes.
Speaker A: Which is still just.
Speaker D: All this crime carrying.
Speaker C: I get.
Speaker D: I have.
Speaker C: I'll save one minute. But I have. I get.
Speaker B: So you go full on scrapping.
Speaker C: This is a team. And.
Speaker B: I'm not even gonna. I'm gonna count that as plus one. Supposedly there's certain time trials. So the first one when they got the trash happened.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Makes this one like one harder. So you'd be trying to get eight and if we had six people. Yeah, that's viable.
Speaker C: But yeah, that's what I know. Like, now that we're playing this, I feel like you're supposed to have everyone, like, all those.
Speaker D: All characters I got.
Speaker C: Supposed to be in, I think.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: All right, I'm gonna.
Speaker A: I. I didn't.
Speaker B: So I'm like, cutting stuff in half at this point.
Speaker C: You had three, right? Well, I have. I'll spend glory for more insp.
Speaker D: I need to spend more.
Speaker C: Which would have Will bump me up to two successes, but that was fine. That's it, though. The best way to avoid these guys, just dart under their legs, then nibble on their toes.
Speaker B: Taste the toes.
Speaker C: And if you really wish to scare them, foam at the mouth. So, yeah, I had two successes, you had three. So that puts us at five success for the group.
Speaker A: I failed at one. I only deal one.
Speaker B: Yeah, we definitely got to kick down. There's like, six prens, so I could see easily hitting seven with six players.
Speaker D: I bet you heard that one shot design in our full table.
Speaker B: So let's just cut that in half. Well, we'll say it's a group effort. Gotta get three.
Speaker C: Okay, so we. We did a scrap.
Speaker B: Okay. So you make it out of the room.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Which.
Speaker C: Doesn'T really matter, actually. Let's go here. That's further away from that guy. Yeah. Even though that dude's probably in it. So now we.
Speaker B: So you duck died and dodge the wrench.
Speaker C: And then we sneak again.
Speaker D: So I have to throw some sand in his eyes.
Speaker A: Fail.
Speaker B: It's time to buy it.
Speaker C: Well, if you all.
Speaker A: I have this garden.
Speaker C: Right. Well, I was gonna say. Yeah. I felt my roll.
Speaker D: Barely made that one.
Speaker B: All right, so you didn't get a chance to catch your breath, and that ogre turns around.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: How many did you get?
Speaker C: Just one success. So we would have moved here, but then this guy would.
Speaker D: Yeah. So we're scrap.
Speaker C: He's chasing us. All right, so this is. I have one left. None. So I'm gonna bend my. Yeah.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker C: So.
Speaker A: Because you have scrap as a skill, man.
Speaker C: No, you do.
Speaker A: You have scrap as a skill.
Speaker C: Yes. Which. I got one success. So I think we're good.
Speaker B: No confusion for me.
Speaker D: I got two.
Speaker C: All right, so we got our three. So I got one.
Speaker B: So you flee the room by his.
Speaker D: Ankle this time as we run by more slash.
Speaker B: And what you find is this chute, this garbage shoot. And the ogres are coming in behind you, and you jump into the chute. You don't know where it's going. You don't care where it's going. The ogres are behind you into the garbage shoot.
Speaker D: Lovely smelly.
Speaker B: As you hit. You land into this. This bin and it. It's empty at the moment. So there's this. It kind of thumps but hard landing.
Speaker D: We land on the big one. Yep.
Speaker C: I went. I just rolled down this first.
Speaker B: So congratulations. You've made it to the depths of the men wasted. So your untold trove of garbage. Only a few more trials remain. You've just barely escaped the ogres. And then as you peer over the waste of stretches out the hallway before sounds of fell machinery clanking and grinding can be heard as well as an acrid unholy burning smell that hangs in the air. You find yourself in an untouched ground. No raccoon known has been this deep in the linic wasted and live to tell the tale. The layout is straightforward again in the alien and unnatural straight lines of the scale of the ogre architecture. A long hallway leads straight ahead ending in a doorway wide enough for the entire master walk through. Shoulder to shoulder. This is where the sounds of machinery and the burning smells seem comfortable. Smells lovely. It smells like my energy drink.
Speaker C: Glory awaits us. Get to bed now. Let us move water like the witch.
Speaker B: Destiny is at hand.
Speaker A: This is so great to be with you guys.
Speaker B: You're the best.
Speaker A: Are you a guy or a girl?
Speaker C: Me?
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: No.
Speaker D: We don't know.
Speaker A: I just say you guys in the general north questions.
Speaker D: That's what the we don't know.
Speaker C: It's funny. It's hard to tell with my smoker's voice golden girl effect.
Speaker B: So you go down the hall and enter the room. You discover the secret of the ogre kind and one of the terror young kids are warned about. The room is packed both with the largest piles of garbage any raccoon could dream of and large machines and garbage is being fed in to be destroyed. And you look in the Bin man collector of garbage. The scourge of brave raccoons is an ogre the large even by ogre standards. He wears a hideous green jumpsuit with all sorts of wicked trash collecting trapping inflament raccoon trapping influence hanging from his belt. So for this next phase your goal is to you've got three tasks. Avoid being captured by the Bin man, collect garbage and escape.
Speaker A: George, you're gonna die.
Speaker D: Might all die. I'm only good for fighting. Mostly.
Speaker B: So the the first two phases due to the Bin Man's hatred of raccoons and and the other garbage collectors he is immediately aware of the mass presence with all the noise and the smoke and the grinding machines. He is not yet aware of exactly where the raccoons are, but he knows you're there. Every round. The characters are in the lair. The binman will move towards one of them. You've got to attempt to avoid the binman by rolling any skill TN4 success keeps hidden and out of reach. If the binman catches any raccoon, well, deal with anything. Get caught. As far as collecting garbage, there's four large bins, two raccoons tall and at least three raccoons wide spread around the room. These bins are used to sort garbage for destruction. Something that goes against the ever wholesome aspect of raccoon society. The characters must successfully gather one piece of garbage for each member of the mask. For this task to be completed, characters must work together to get into the bins with a wriggle. TN of 3. Actually, grabbing garbage does not require a roll. And then you draw the next garbage card on the deck.
Speaker A: So that's a per raccoon regal.
Speaker B: Whoever's getting in the bin. It doesn't say that everyone has to get in the bin, but we have.
Speaker A: To get three pieces as a group.
Speaker C: Yes.
Speaker B: Garbage.
Speaker A: Because I guess another one where I'd have to roll.
Speaker B: Perfect.
Speaker C: I. Yeah. I have no shot, but I hope you can wiggle.
Speaker B: I want. But you're on.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: I have four brawn.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker A: Straight into the bins.
Speaker C: I can distract. I have some good, good stuff that I. I can craft some good stuff for distractions, I think to help draw them away from you while you wiggle.
Speaker D: After the woman with that.
Speaker B: Now, if there's a specific piece of garbage you're looking for. Now, if you were doing this as a. A longer campaign and you wanted to make sure you had something sharp for special arrows or.
Speaker C: Sure.
Speaker B: Something soft for.
Speaker D: Beef Jerry.
Speaker B: Exactly. Then you can roll for. Do a lure roll or trick. Not me.
Speaker D: No. I got too smart.
Speaker B: So those are the first two phases. We'll focus on those. And then once everything happens, then we'll go for trash.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: So hopefully you've got a skill. Any skill that you can get a tm.
Speaker D: I got three Garbage guts and taming.
Speaker C: Will get me up there. Likely. If it's any skill, which is kind of funny. I have heard my own garbage bin collector.
Speaker B: You find a wreck that's scared in a corner.
Speaker A: So we. So we come into the room where we see all that stuff. You see Toriga just like drops a load right there on the ground. And he's like, this will be useful. Jumps over the edge with a Handful can use hurl to distract the guy by chucking his own poo at him.
Speaker D: You had a sling shot and you put it in.
Speaker B: Well, someone does have a swing. I don't know if I have a sling.
Speaker C: You have a swing. All right. Yeah. So I guess. So you're going for distraction.
Speaker B: Yeah, I'll go for garbage.
Speaker C: And then I have to avoid being.
Speaker A: Because I have two hurl and then five guts. So I have seven to use the distractions.
Speaker C: So can I Lua would help be like a stool to help Breaker get into the.
Speaker A: You just lay down?
Speaker B: Yeah. Lean up against the vents are two raccoon height.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: So, yeah, if you want to put together.
Speaker C: So I would. I would just stand under there. Like, stand there.
Speaker A: Are you like one raccoon regardless of orientation?
Speaker C: Yes. Yeah, yeah. That's how rounded. Roll me over.
Speaker B: Yep.
Speaker D: I'll try and grab some garbage.
Speaker A: He can be laying down. I'm just talking to you, and I don't realize that your head's over here.
Speaker C: So would this be a group with him and I, or would he just, like, get a less TN to get into the bin? So what we needed. Did we need three, three or four to. Yeah, you can.
Speaker B: You need one piece of reach for.
Speaker C: Each of you to get into the bin. The T. The T.N.
Speaker D: For that was.
Speaker C: Was 4, wasn't it?
Speaker D: I think it was 3.
Speaker C: Or was it 3?
Speaker B: Okay, now if you do get caught, you can distract the bin man. Toss in the cage, and you can make all sorts of racket. You can either do a break TN of 3 or a trick of 5 to extract.
Speaker A: Do either one of those.
Speaker B: And if half the mask or more is captured, the whole mask fails. They're all quickly cornered and captured. The escape will have to be another tip.
Speaker D: Okay, so what was the TN to get into? Like get the garbage out of the bin.
Speaker B: What's your wriggle power? Yeah, it's a wriggle of three. So I'd say if you're gonna do it as a group with the two of you, then I would. You're gonna crawl on top of.
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. You're just gonna. Yeah, I'll lay there.
Speaker D: So it's like a trampoline.
Speaker B: If you're gonna launch yourself, we'll go for. For a two on.
Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
Speaker B: Just to give you a fighting chance.
Speaker A: Now, what I need to do to escape or distract whatever it is I'm doing.
Speaker B: So your chapter will go for a basic hurl. Okay.
Speaker D: Roll it up and see what happens.
Speaker B: He comes at you after you've done your.
Speaker A: I'm gonna save one for correct. I'm not sure how many I need. Sorry.
Speaker B: How many do I need for your hurl? Hurl is a bronze. So you have your.
Speaker C: I mean, like, 3 or the TN. Yeah. What's the 2?
Speaker D: Actually.
Speaker A: I don't know what I need to get. I'm rolling a bunch of dice, so.
Speaker B: There is no specific. So I'm gonna say whatever you do, you will get his attention.
Speaker C: We'll just see how much of this.
Speaker B: So I have one, and then I.
Speaker A: Can re roll with one of these.
Speaker D: Yep.
Speaker B: Oh, I have one. You can.
Speaker C: You can re roll all your failed die.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Oh, with that.
Speaker C: With the manipul.
Speaker B: You're rerolling.
Speaker C: You don't. You don't add the. Your manip. You just re roll the fill. You spend your. Your one manip to re roll.
Speaker A: And I wouldn't have actually rolled as many as I did.
Speaker B: That's okay.
Speaker A: I would actually do that different. The whole game.
Speaker B: It. It's kind of your choice. You can roll all your fails, or you can take one die and add a pip to it.
Speaker A: Okay, gotcha. All right, well, I have three success then.
Speaker C: Right in the eye.
Speaker B: Describe your. Your flinging. It's not quite a head shot.
Speaker A: I'm staying, like, in the shadows to, like, you know, just more, like, distract.
Speaker C: From what?
Speaker D: You guys.
Speaker A: You guys are going over to a. I'm doing that.
Speaker C: Right.
Speaker A: I'm, like, going to the side. I'm like. And just, like, hit him, like, in the side of the head, like, so, like, where he could be like.
Speaker C: And have any of you heard raccoons growl?
Speaker A: Only on videos, but I've never seen that.
Speaker C: Oh. In real life, it is, like, this little. It is a sketchy sound. It's super. Yeah. So I would imagine you're over on this, like, growling and flinging like poo. Adam.
Speaker A: But it's just, like, to get a general. I don't want to tell them where I'm at, but to have him pay attention.
Speaker B: He knows where he's the general location. He has turned to face you. He is walking your way after you have flung and growled at him. Right.
Speaker D: Then using his help, I grab one p. I got two. So I got one piece of garbage out of the three we need.
Speaker C: Nice. So you're able to wriggle up, see where. So I guess.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: Once you're in a bin, is there, like, can you just sit in there and, like, scoop out a garbage or is there a roll?
Speaker D: Or do we have to.
Speaker C: We have to Roll a lore roll.
Speaker B: If there's a specific piece of garbage you're looking for. Nope. But it doesn't say how much garbage is in each bin or what type of garbage is in each bin.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: So he could have jumped in, found. It's all like, well, I guess we know.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Goons can't and choosers.
Speaker C: Yeah, I was going to, like, say, like. So once he's in there, like, on, like, his turn, he just pulled out another piece of garbage each turn.
Speaker D: Okay.
Speaker C: Okay.
Speaker B: You can fling him out of the bin.
Speaker C: Yeah. That's your one piece of garbage.
Speaker D: I guess my guy likes soft stuff.
Speaker B: Apparently you got enough. I mean, your whole hand can be max of 10 cards.
Speaker A: So.
Speaker B: Yeah, I think it. This would almost be. How much do you want to catch? Because.
Speaker C: Counter glory, too, is a max of 10.
Speaker B: Oh. All your friends together.
Speaker D: I got seven.
Speaker C: Okay. So you're fine.
Speaker D: I'll spend glory by him now.
Speaker A: I'm gonna distract him. Next time I distract. I'm gonna distract him by, like, making a sound elsewhere and, like, go the other direction.
Speaker B: Any skill. TNF4.
Speaker A: I don't know who's going next. Do I need to go again?
Speaker C: Yeah, he's just. Yeah.
Speaker D: I'm in the trash bin, just grabbing what I can.
Speaker B: So pretty much fit it.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker D: And then if you want to help.
Speaker C: Them or do I. I'll help distract. If he, like. If he, like, this stuff starts going south.
Speaker B: It would have been nice if they'd been a man up.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Or something.
Speaker D: Yeah. Map.
Speaker B: But all right.
Speaker A: I have four successes.
Speaker B: Okay. You. You successfully stand regard. So he's headed over one way. You've run the other direction, but he doesn't see you.
Speaker A: So, like, triangulating, like, he's going over here. You guys are over there, and I'm over here at my next magical attack.
Speaker D: In the bin, grabbing what I can.
Speaker C: Be like, throw down two, please. So.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: And I'll figure you just went behind the.
Speaker C: Yeah. I'll say he throws down. All right. I should have shuffled the deck better. So I'll say, like, is it finally. If he throws down two and then I like, take one.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: For mine because my skill. So I just. Just discarded the one. So we. I guess we go back around.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker B: Give me a quick. Can't afford any skill because this stuff's flying out of the bin. That would definitely garner the bin man's attention.
Speaker C: I'll see if I keep them and I'm quiet enough about it. All right. So use my tame skill. That gives me a die. Yep. I'm gonna tame the garbage man, and then I will spend three. Yes, I might, actually. So I have two minutes left. One success. I'll bend another manip reroll, and then. I can't do that. I already rolled, so I can buy more dice. There we go.
Speaker B: Perfect.
Speaker C: Two more successes, and that's all I can do because I can't end up with. Well, actually, how many successes did I need? 4. 4. I will burn glory. And my last minute to bump this to a five. The three to a five.
Speaker B: Okay. Describe what. What glorious thing you have done.
Speaker C: As the. Yeah, I was gonna say as some. As, like some garbage is being. Has fallen out of the bin. I, like, catch, like. Like, a chunk of, like, fool's gold, like, pops out, and I kind of go and, like, make it extra shiny, and it's like, throw it, like, down the corner so it kind of, like, catches the light and sparkles and, like, skitters down the. The side so it looks like there's, like, a shiny gold nugget just, like, slides across the floor.
Speaker B: He hears a rattle across the floor, and he turns. He sees the motion. I'm figuring you're throwing it at opposite corner of where?
Speaker C: I don't even know. Yeah, I just. Like a wave. So he's going, like, perpendicular away from me. I don't. I won't. I don't know where he's at. So I just.
Speaker A: Anyways, whatever he's doing is completely random.
Speaker B: I'm using this golden chunk. I'm skittering at your feet.
Speaker A: Wait, actually, I just pick it up.
Speaker B: Quickly.
Speaker A: Hey.
Speaker B: All right. You got your piece of trash.
Speaker C: Do I draw one?
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. It's fitting, too.
Speaker D: We needed three.
Speaker C: Well, that would be. Oh, that's hilarious.
Speaker A: I should have just taken your discard.
Speaker D: Actually, I think we have all three.
Speaker C: Yeah, we got three pieces of trash now.
Speaker B: So it's time to skedaddle. The players must first use some of the collected garbage to quickly create equipment to stall the bin man as he chases after the group. Players must then pass a scrap plus trick challenge. Oh, good grief. You're supposed to pull off a TN at 10.
Speaker A: Now, if that is a group or individual group.
Speaker B: That's a group.
Speaker A: But we're half the group.
Speaker D: Yeah, you have to play the full table to get those.
Speaker B: We. We'll aim for four.
Speaker C: I was going to say, because I think. What is it?
Speaker B: Scrap and trick. Trick crack plus script. So if you can pull off scrap or you can pull off. Do you. Does anybody have a trick skill?
Speaker A: I have trick.
Speaker C: I know. I Have nothing.
Speaker A: My sports are low.
Speaker D: I have nothing.
Speaker B: So you'll use some of the trash you've got. You got to figure out a way to stall as you make it out. And I am not going to work. Supposedly by this time between the ogres and the other one. Every time you fail one of those challenges, it's supposed to up the difficulty by one. So that means if you fail the other and you continually ran into the ogres on your way down, this could be like a 15 or a 20.
Speaker D: That's crazy.
Speaker A: This is the. What's that card game we played with the soldiers where you always. The grizzle. It's the grizzled.
Speaker C: This was definitely meant for the six or seven player, I think.
Speaker B: Yeah. So we're gonna make that TN of four.
Speaker A: So what is. I need to understand for my character for this part is what is Tinker, then? Because I have a. I may roll Tinker, but that's different than Trick or scrap. Scrap is like you're scrapping with someone. But Trick. I'm using trash to make a trick. What's the difference between that and, like, tinkering?
Speaker C: I. I'm guessing if the environment. If we were trying to, like, mess with, like, if there was something we can try and actually, like, tinker with, like, a device. Yeah. Like maybe like the machinery or a light switch. That's kind of what I'm thinking. Tinker would fall under. Or if you're trying. Yeah, I feel like that's probably what that's for.
Speaker B: Also, Trick would be making your trap. Tinker would be if you found a door and you're trying to figure out how to open it. Okay.
Speaker C: So it falls into the smart. So learn memory. Learning width. Yeah, I'm guessing that's probably their idea is that's for manipulating.
Speaker A: So this we specifically have to use Trick. We can't use something that's.
Speaker C: Or scrap.
Speaker B: Trick is outsmarting other creatures, deciding words, setting a trap or distraction.
Speaker C: Yeah, you don't. You don't. You can use. You have scrap, though, don't you? Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B: You can use scrap.
Speaker C: Scrap.
Speaker A: Or go like crazy on his feet.
Speaker B: And Tinker is making and activating devices. Every piece of trash in the world has some job to do. So if you got a doll and it had a string on the back.
Speaker D: Right.
Speaker B: Tinker would be pulling the string and getting going.
Speaker A: Mama.
Speaker B: Or fixing the box.
Speaker A: Okay, so I'm going to stop at this one. I'm a supporting role at this point.
Speaker B: Have some sharp things.
Speaker A: Why do you have some sharp Things.
Speaker C: Let's throw the sharp things on the ground.
Speaker B: Okay.
Speaker A: Well, I'm gonna.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: That's a tinker, isn't it?
Speaker B: That would be a trick.
Speaker A: That would be a trick.
Speaker B: Okay, so, yeah. Deceiving with words or setting up a trap or a simple abstraction.
Speaker A: I have a bunch of like bent wire brush things that are, like all bent out, like pointing up. And there's. There's like little tiny box with these.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Just sticking out. But they're like extremely rusty and pointy.
Speaker C: Mine's gonna be like some broken, like broken, like glass shards that I just chucked onto the ground as part of the. The help of the distraction so we can get out and then need to roll scrap. So will this give, like, help us in some way, throwing this on the ground?
Speaker B: It'll be a bit of a description. I think the big thing is the role is scrap or trick.
Speaker A: I have two successes.
Speaker C: All right, you have one for the. Just having it. I'm just going to. I don't have any new floor once it's us.
Speaker B: Do we need a helmet? I cut it down before. Okay, so we have three. Scrap it up, man.
Speaker D: So as I'm jumping out of the bin, it's one of those slapper hands like you had as a kid. There's like a bunch of sharp things at it. And as I jump out, I slap them and look across the cheek and then go running. Yep, there's two. And then I could spend one if I wanted to reroll them.
Speaker C: Yeah, just re roll them just to see maybe we'll get better. We got the manips.
Speaker D: Got two successes.
Speaker B: Got five.
Speaker D: A slap right hand across the face.
Speaker B: Arm Bracken. So you've defeated the bin man.
Speaker D: He's the big man now, this guy.
Speaker B: Remember him? You've escaped the Menisci Water disp. Well, whereas failure would have meant the bay man caught you and tossed you into the sewers beneath the Menisci water disc where unknown adventures await. You have managed to make your way out. You safely escape. Your names will go down and bend, Lord, as you have made it to the legendary land and collected the supreme garbage challenge.
Speaker A: That's funny.
Speaker C: It's not a creative system.
Speaker B: Yeah, it's definitely a creative system. But yeah, full table or nothing was one of those.
Speaker A: Like, the tns in any system are hard to set. It's like you have to.
Speaker B: Well, you almost need a little grid if you've got this many players. Here's your group. TN. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker C: Well, then just getting it five or six is brutal because that's only like 33.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: Something like that.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Like, if you go in to a system knowing it's brutal, it's like, okay. But this. Because it was like, where you go 10, you're like, okay. It's definitely meant for more players. And we're half the players. You cut it in half. Like, then it feels. It felt normal.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: You said how challenging it is. I think it was definitely just. They just have it up to you on if you're going to use fewer players, what to do, but they don't recommend to you, apparently. It's just this.
Speaker B: It's a lot of improv. I like the cards and I like the crafting, where it's like, on your feet. These are your ingredients. What are you gonna throw together?
Speaker A: Well, you could go with it. So it wasn't hard to learn it that way.
Speaker B: It's that part I kind of liked. I like the. The use of the cards. The tn. I'm torn on the die system itself.
Speaker D: It almost. I think it'd be almost better as you put this in the Apocalypses. I know with the six.
Speaker C: Didn't like the.
Speaker D: Instead of. Because I get does. It's still.
Speaker B: TS are brutal. Oh, they were. And unless you pick the one character that can do it. Yeah. So out of six, it's like, all right, I need to make sure that we have the sneakiest sneaker of.
Speaker D: Yep. It's like, oh, my God, I could do a scratch.
Speaker A: I think once you understand, too, like, what each of the individual skills do, it helps understanding.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker C: I think that. Yeah, I think the systems itself is fine.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: Didn't. Didn't feel as clunky as it seemed like it could be.
